Opiniones de Omar's New York
I feel like my colleagues have been raving about this place for years and I finally got to try it. Overall i am pretty impressed with the quality, taste, and portion. The price is not too cheap but not too expensive for the area. The lunch platter was huge and I couldn't finish it in a sitting. If you live or work in this area tribeca or fidi it's definitely worth a visit!
This meal was incredible. It was HOT! The salad was fresh, the meat was super flavorful and juicy.
Delicious food. Everything was so fresh and excellent quality
Falafel combo platter was perfect! Everything tasted great and fresh. I wish the portions were bigger but that’s because everything was so good. Baklava at the end was a nice treat. Great spot, I’ll be back.
Omars is one of my work lunch go-tos, and the food there I crave constantly. The chicken adana pita sandwich is the perfect lunch food, with nice seasoning and a juice bite of the chicken that goes great with the fresh vegetables and fluffy pita. And they toss in a free piece of baklava because we all deserve a lil treat in life. The people who work there are warm and efficient, calmly getting through the lunch rush and getting everyone out the door quickly as possible. Will visit again and again and again and again for as long as it exists.
I have always wanted to try this place as I’ve walked by several times and I did today and it was SOOOO good!!!! I got the chicken kabab and it was extremely juicy and amazing. I’m sad about all the times I walked by but did not stop in. The staff was very nice and friendly too. Really good spot!
Omar’s Mediterranean Cuisine is truly a hidden gem in the city. The food is fresh, flavorful, and cooked with real Mediterranean taste. Every dish feels homemade and full of quality ingredients. What really stands out is the generous hospitality — warm, welcoming, and attentive service that makes you feel at home. Portions are satisfying, prices are fair, and the overall vibe is relaxed and friendly. A must-visit spot if you enjoy great food served with heart.
It feels like it’s tucked into an alley, not many tables in the back, but all full. For good reason. Food was incredible. I had a lamb plate with three sides… Hummus – the most velvety texture imaginable. Chickpeas and spinach – he wouldn’t tell me the special spice that was in there, but it will have me coming back for more. Turkish eggplant – a beautiful mix of Steamed vegetables with a perfect flavor and spice. So simple, this place is now in my saved file can’t wait till next time. enjoy
Omars Mediterranean Cuisine stands as a place we enthusiastically endorse. The experience here was memorable. The staff members display remarkable kindness. Every dish we ordered was amazing, looked great and matched perfectly. Great taste at prices that won't shock; perfect combination.
I can't even begin to explain how much I love Omars. The hummus is so smooth, the baba ganoush is always so flavorful- Could you split a platter between two people? Sure. But why would you?! The staff are also always so sweet. And the baklava as a little treat at the end? SO cute! I almost feel ashamed writing a review only now. You guys have my heart! Fantastic!
This was a fantastic find! Tried the signature dish with the eggplant salad and the smoothest hummus I've ever had. Also tried the chicken noodle soup which was excellent with lots of veggies. All was served with fresh, gorgeous pitas. The customers were a mix of locals enamored with the cuisine and visitors experiencing its glory for the first time. The cherry on top was the baklava at the end.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I flew in from Dallas TX and immediately wanted to try something local. This Mediterranean restaurant is amazing!!! The service is quick and friendly, and the food is quality. They give generous portions and they give plenty of sauces. Plus they gave us a mini baklava per order, how cute and thoughtful! I got the chicken shwarma which is like a gyro but with chicken. I loved the fresh onion, tomato, and green mix lettuce. If you like healthy but authentic, this is the place!!
Omars was amazing!! So fresh and so many amazing flavors! My husband and I shared the Omars signature platter, which gave a sample of the many tastes of Omars! Would order again and again! Hummus is bright and fresh and baklava on the way out was perfect end to our meal! Thanks all at Omars! We'll be back! Idaho
Omar’s is awesome, it’s kind of hard to find at this point, under a whole bunch of scaffolding, but it’s so worth it. It’s a gem 💎 under that scaffolding! Portion size was right! Everything was super fresh. The chicken Shawarma was amazing. And to top it off, they handed you a piece of baklava on the way out epic. This is a super awesome lunch spot for the Wall Street types types too.. healthy
Real authentic Mediterranean food! The flavors are so exquisite and pleasant throughout every bite. I was satisfied by the great quality and love put into the plates but also to the business. Everyone went above and beyond, explained the plates in detail, gave us complementary baklava (btw amazing) and handled an absurdly mean client behind us so professionally. Definitely will have it in my top list of food recommendations.
It was my first time at Omar’s Mediterranean restaurant on Ann street. I’m glad I picked this place for my lunch. I tried the chicken kebab which tasted really good. The restaurant is nice and clean with a seating area in the back. The people behind the counter are friendly, they wear white uniforms, look professional. They offer me a free dessert baklava at the end which was nice. I would recommend it.
Reliable Midtown gem for killer Mediterranean—Omar's hits every time! Portions are huge and flavorful: chicken shawarma was juicy and perfectly spiced on the spit, lamb kofta kabob tender and smoky, falafel crispy outside/soft inside, and the hummus + baba ghanoush were fresh and addictive. Love the complimentary warm pita and little baklava bite at the end—such a nice touch. Service was friendly, fast, and welcoming even during the rush. Atmosphere is cozy and casual (simple decor, but warm and inviting—not fancy, but feels like a neighborhood favorite). Great for dine-in lunch or takeout. Highly recommend!
*Water not provided!* My friend and I decided to check out Omar's Mediterranean Cuisine around 5pm on a Monday. There is an air-conditioned seating area in the back, which can sit several parties. However, during our visit, I think they had an electrical overload, which caused everything to shut off for a second. That was enough to have a strong gas smell permeate the restaurant, so I was grateful we were almost done. Water not being provided really irks me if a restaurant has a sit-down area. My friend got a chicken pita ($17.50) and I got the kaufta kabob platter with baba ganousgh and cucumber/yogurt salad ($21.50). For the amount of meat, I felt like the platter was overpriced, though I understand the location in the financial district means pricier food. That said, I really enjoyed my food. The kaufta had amazing flavor, which went well with the sides. They also gave us a complimentary baklava, which was perfectly flaky and the right amount of sweetness. Service was okay. The staff was friendly when we ordered, and we had one check back. Since they don't provide water, I cannot comment on that. This is also a place where you have to go up to the cashier to pay, so there isn't too much the staff needs to do aside from bringing the food. Overall, I would recommend Omar's for takeout, and I will be a returning customer, as the taste is worth the occasional splurge.
