Opiniones de Sugar Factory New York
Amy was the best!! She really made our experience the best night out it could have been! Amy was super friendly, attentive, and patient with us while we decided what to order. She checked on us often, made sure our drinks and food were perfect, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. She honestly made the night so much better. She even took requests and was such awesome energy! Thank you, Amy! 💕
Me, my sister and mom came out to the Sugar Factory for Galentine's!! It was my mom's first time coming. The decorations were so cute for Valentine's Day and the food was good as usual. Our server Sara was so sweet from beginning to end. She was so friendly amd attentive, she made sure we always had everything we needed. My mom had a slight issue with her food and Sara immediately took care of it. Thank you Sara and Sugar Factory!!
Ainel had great service! Very sweet and attentive to her customers. Would definitely come here again and ask for Ainel! I came for a birthday and the food was amazing as well as the vibes!
I had a great experience with Allyson . She was very friendly, professional, and really attentive to what I needed. Even with the place being busy, they made sure everything came out just right and checked in to make sure I was taken care of. Their positive energy made the visit even better.
We loved our server Amy. She was informative and attentive and did an amazing job making sure the needs were met for 15 guests! It is my pleasure writing this review and I hope people continue to bless her with good tips because she deserves it. She carried a table of 15 alone and checked in on us frequently. Thank you Amy for this incredible experience :)
We had a fantastic experience at Sugar Factory Times Square! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. One standout dish was the strawberry cheesecake stuffed waffles—absolutely incredible! They were rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server, Mila, was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout our visit. Her energy and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience. If you’re looking for a fun and indulgent dining spot in the heart of Times Square, Sugar Factory is a must-visit!
Had a great experience at Sugar Factory, and our waitress Sydney was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her energy and professionalism really stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable. Great service and a fun atmosphere—highly recommend!
This was my first time and my coworkers going to the “Sugar Factory”. The appetizer was good, and the burgers were made correctly to each person's liking. The drinks were ok, it had very little alcohol which was disappointing, especially at $42 per drink. Our waiter Juan was amazing and attentive. Very friendly, always smiling, checked in on us and took pictures of us. Overall a good experience!
Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming — the perfect escape from the busy streets outside. The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Whether you’re visiting NYC or live here, this place is a must. Perfect for date night, friends, or even solo dining. Can’t wait to come back!
This was a really fun spot for our Girl Scout group to enjoy a pre-show brunch! We were thrilled that our party of 18 was easily accommodated. We were promptly seated and finished brunch in under 90 mins, which was awesome as we had a time crunch. Our server, Amanda, was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. Food was average or better, but that was expectable as we figured we’d be there most for the experience. The whole place was super cute - we had a great time and recommend!
Helia was our server, she was absolutely amazing! Her professionalism and the way she made the atmosphere energetic especially for a birthday was phenomenal. It was such a good experience.
Enjoyed an early dinner here last Saturday. We did not have a reservation, but were seated at a first floor table within minutes. Alex was a great server, with great energy! We ordered the Macaroni & Cheese pops for the table. My husband ordered the Grilled Ham & Four Cheese sandwich. It came with an order of fries and bowl of marinara. I had the Firecracker Shrimp stir fry. Both were delicious! Arrived hot & fresh to our table. There was a photographer walking around taking photos. For $25, you could have your picture taken and receive it in a Sugar Factory keepsake frame. Overall, we had a good first experience. Will likely return.
I came here for my daughter’s birthday, I made a reservation prior and we got in real quick. My server Sydney was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive to not only myself but my 5 year old daughter as well. Being playful with her, yet still recommending the best options on the menus. I would definitely come back just to have her as my server again. Thank you Sydney!
The food was amazing and I can say also affordable per person. Allyson was an amazing waitress!! Showed much attention to our needs and accommodated us amazingly. If you come to the sugar factory on 42 ask for Allyson she will give you 10/10 service.
The place was lively and beautiful. I was very happy with the service, and the drinks were excellent. It’s a very popular spot with lots of people, but it was still a pleasant experience thanks to the great service I don’t remember the young man’s name exactly, but I believe it was Alonfoso. He was very quick and attentive he cleaned our table and served us exceptionally well. He was fast, friendly, and paid close attention to us at all times. The only thing I didn’t like was the elevator. There are no buttons on the outside, and it takes a while for someone to come and activate it. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Our waiter, Warren, did an amazing job making sure that our needs were met ! He was very attentive and make sure that we got everything that we wanted for the night. The staff was also very sweet and made sure that my party was good as well! 10/10 service !
Had a great time dining at Sugar Factory NYC! The chicken stir-fry was delicious, and the truffle fries were tasty too. The upbeat music and lively atmosphere made it a fun spot to enjoy a meal and have a little fun. The service wasn’t bad either—overall, a solid experience. The famous $44 goblet drinks were a highlight—they bubble and smoke thanks to dry ice, creating a fun, fog-like effect purely for presentation (it doesn’t affect the taste). The drinks come in delicious flavors, and they also offer non-alcoholic versions. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for good food with a playful vibe!
Samuel at Sugar Factory provides an exceptional dining experience that exceeds expectations. From the moment you walk in, his warm and welcoming demeanor makes you feel at home. His extensive knowledge of the menu, along with insightful recommendations, enhances the dining experience tremendously. Samuel’s attentiveness ensures that every need is met without being intrusive, making the meal both relaxing and enjoyable. The vibrant atmosphere of Sugar Factory combined with his excellent service creates a perfect backdrop for any occasion. If you're looking for a memorable meal, I highly recommend visiting Samuel at Sugar Factory!
The chicken wings weren't fresh, the fried mac and cheese needed more flavor, the soda was flat, and the spaghetti needed a little more sauce. Everything else was okay. The experience was a 4 out of 5. The customer service from the staff was excellent. Steven, Sydney, and especially Jaime provided my family with consistency. It was my baby cousin's birthday and they treated my cousin and granddaughter like princesses. Thank you Sugar Factory. Your employees receive a 10!
I went to eat at Sugar Factory with my family and the experience was incredible. We passed by there almost by chance, since we are visiting and we are not from here, but honestly we loved everything! The food was super delicious, everything came out as we expected (or better!). The atmosphere is very pleasant and perfect to come with family or friends. I especially want to highlight the service: our waitress Paula was wonderful. She had a super nice vibe, she was very kind, attentive and also super funny, which made the experience even better. It really shows when someone enjoys their work and transmits it to customers. I recommend Sugar Factory 100%, and if it's your turn to take care of Paula, you will really appreciate it. I would definitely come back again.
Amy was my server she was amazing. 10/10 service. Amy also checked up on my table multiple times and made sure everything was okay. She was very accommodating and fast. I would definitely come here again, the staff is amazing as well. Very beautiful ambiance and amazing service all around!
Celebrated my daughter’s 15th birthday here and it was such a great time! Our waiter Dean was very attentive, kind and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout. Our meal was great and they even took the time to sing happy birthday to my daughter. Great experience!
Steven gave exceptional service! He was friendly, attentive, helpful, funny, and classy. I'd love to have him any day as my server. The food and experience was one of a kind. He even made sure they played my daughter's favorite song as they wished her Happy Birthday! We will be back again.
My family and I came here last night and it was nothing but an amazing experience. The lady who greeted us when we walked in was nothing but nice and helpful. The staff was patient and kind. The food was absolutely divine and tasty. My little sister had an amazing birthday dinner here and I personally recommend it to anyone who wants a fun and fulfilling experience/meal in NYC.
Ainel was an amazing waitress our food came at a decent time. Service was phenomenal and I’ll definitely will be coming back. My kids had a great time. my Son said it was the best birthday ever Especially when they sing happy birthday to him
The food and vibe was great. I went out with my girlfriends for brunch and had such a great time. Our server Daniel was the best! He always checked up on us asking if everything was okay. I would 10/10 come back again.
I brought my son for his Birthday here. I had blue cheese burger with fries and pretty in pink cocktail. My son had Big cheesy burger with fries and strawberry cheesecake milkshake. It was too good. I enjoyed this place so much. The staffs were wonderful. The atmosphere was fun, happy and lively. I can’t wait to go back.
We had the absolute BEST experience celebrating my son Pierce Riley’s birthday at the Sugar Factory in Times Square, and it was all because of our incredible server, Amy! From the moment we sat down, Amy made us feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated. She brought such positive energy to our table and made my son feel like a true VIP on his special day. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind — constantly checking in on us, making sure everything was perfect, and keeping the birthday vibes high. The presentation, the drinks, the food — everything was fun and exciting, but Amy truly elevated the entire experience. She didn’t just serve us, she helped create a memory we will never forget. Seeing my son smile and feel so celebrated meant everything to me. If you’re going to Sugar Factory in Times Square, ask for Amy. She is a star and made our celebration unforgettable! Thank you, Amy, for making Pierce’s birthday so magical! 🎉✨
Great place, delicious food, amazing atmosphere, super friendly and professional stuff! Thank you Sugar Factory for making my daughter’s birthday even more unforgettable! Separate huge thank you to our server Brian who was responsive to every request, accommodating all our needs and requests. Unforgettable experience at incredible place!
We celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday at the Sugar Factory and could not have asked for a better experience! The holiday décor was absolutely stunning and made the whole place feel magical. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant, and perfect for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, and everything came out just right. A special shout-out to our waitress, Talia, who was incredibly accommodating, patient, and attentive throughout our visit. She truly helped make the day extra special. Thank you, Sugar Factory, for an unforgettable birthday celebration we’ll definitely be back! 🎉🍭✨
I had an absolutely amazing experience at the Sugar Factory America in Times Square! From the moment we sat down, our server Cynthia made the entire experience unforgettable. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and full of positive energy. Cynthia went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from helping us choose delicious drinks and desserts to checking in at just the right moments. Her service truly elevated the whole visit. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, the treats were over-the-top and delicious, and Cynthia’s hospitality made it even better. If you’re visiting the Sugar Factory in Times Square, I highly recommend asking for Cynthia. She will make your experience just as sweet as the desserts! 🍭
Steven was awesome! He was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience really fun. He gave great recommendations, checked in at the right times, and made sure everything came out perfectly. The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. They even have a gluten free bun which I was very excited about. Overall such a great experience, and Steven’s service definitely made it even better. Thanks for everything
This place is touristy, obviously seeing that it’s on Times Square but it’s a fun place to bring people seeing the city for the first time who want to experience that area. I’ve taken 2 kids there now for birthdays with very happy kids as a result! Killer desserts and a cool atmosphere (especially upstairs) make this place. The cocktails look amazing but I have not tried them.
Our server Sydney was AMAZING and deserves a raise! My flight was delayed and she and the nice manager lady made my birthday so special. I wasn’t able to get dressed and rushed here right off of my flight and they made my experience awesome 👏🏾 kudos to you ladies and Sydney please keep being the awesome person that you are! You literally made my night 🩷 Thanks for the dessert
Ainel was such an awesome server ! She was very attentive and took great care of the birthday girl! Thank you sugar factory for the sweetest service 🍦
First time here and everything was delicious. Our server Paula was so attentive and she was able to answer any questions we had. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. The fries were delicious and let’s not talk about my espresso martini. I would definitely come again when I come to visit the city. I highly recommend recommend the Sugar Factory.
Sugar factory was an experience! Food was great. Smash burger, spaghetti, fish n chips, and chicken and waffles were all good. This place also has huge sugary drinks that can be alcoholic and non. Waiter was attentive and had a great memory. And the atmosphere was lively as they were decorating for the holidays. They also have pictures on the walls of all the celebrities that have stopped by. Prices werent the cheapest but I do believe the value was there...portions were large. Stop in and enjoy the experience
From the moment we were seated, Ainel made our entire experience unforgettable. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Every recommendation she made was spot on — from the drinks to the desserts. You could tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in making her guests happy. Even with how busy the restaurant was, she never made us feel rushed or overlooked. She checked in at the perfect times, kept our table spotless, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her positive energy and professionalism really stood out — she turned what was already a fun night into an exceptional one. If you ever visit the Sugar Factory, ask for Ainel — she’s the reason we’ll be coming back again soon!
Sugar Factory in Times Square is pure magic for anyone with a sweet tooth or just looking for a fun, unforgettable treat. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by a colorful, candy-filled wonderland that instantly puts you in a great mood. The staff is upbeat and welcoming, and the entire space has a lively, exciting vibe that’s perfect for both kids and adults. I tried one of their signature non-alcoholic drinks, and it was amazing—sweet, over-the-top, and served in their famous large goblet with all the eye-catching presentation you’d expect. The strawberry ice cream was equally fantastic: creamy, full of fresh strawberry flavor, and beautifully served. The attached candy shop is also a blast to explore, with a huge variety of sweets and fun gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re visiting New York or a local looking for a special dessert spot, Sugar Factory Times Square is a must. Great treats, friendly service, and a bright, energetic atmosphere make it an experience you’ll want to share with friends and family again and again.
Firstly, we arrived there late at 12:20am, I didn’t even think they would sit us but they did and we were seated immediately and served almost immediately after. 10/10 experience, our server was Warren and made this late night trip worth it ! We got the Candy Shop drink which is amazing their Sugar Factory Sampler is sooo good. Again server Warren very attentive and made sure my boyfriend and I were satisfied during our meal and experience. The staff were lovely even though we came in later than expected. I will 100% be back and be sure to ask for Warren for quality service!
For a first time experience, the atmosphere was very calm and enjoyable. The food was very good but the drinks are to die for 🥰🔥. I loved the whole experience and it’s the best way to celebrate your anniversary with your loved one or even a birthday. They also have a photographer there who asks you if you wanna take pictures and the pricing is very reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend going here if you haven’t. also we had a very chocolate cookie milkshake and that was so good. We didn’t get a picture due to us just enjoying our time together and soaking up with memory but their milkshakes are so big and filling
With a name like sugar factory, I had to try it. And I’m glad we did. We went Friday night at 10 after we went to hadestown, which was amazing. It wasn’t too crowded. They have an elevator to get a wheelchair to the second floor. There is a fun atmosphere with lots of music and the servers are dancing and bringing out birthday treats with fireworks. It’s a lot of fun. I got the burger and thought it was really good. My daughter got the brick chicken and really liked it. We got a brownie shake and it was delicious. The servers and staff were all very friendly. We had a great time here.
Eliana was a great waitress, her friendly and enthusiastic demeanor was what I needed to make my son birthday amazing. It was a 10 out of 10
The decor in the place is very cute. The serving sizes are large. Milkshakes were done to perfection. I wanted it very thick and i got exactly what i asked for.
Cynthia was great ! Very attentive. This place is awesome! Drinks are very good. Old fashions are on point! The music is amazing!
We went for dinner before seeing a show and had the best experience! The atmosphere was extremely kid-friendly, and the food was delicious. The candy bar was a huge hit of course! From the moment w…
Great time, Great environment. The only thing sweeter than the candy was our host (Sara). If you are in NYC this place is a must visit.
We are in New York celebrating our daughter’s upcoming birthday and came to Sugar Factory for dinner. We highly recommend the restaurant. Alex was our server and she looked after us really well.
The Sugar Factory is definitely an experience! The atmosphere and décor are over-the-top fun — colorful, energetic, and perfect for photos. I ordered the Rainbow Sliders, which were as fun to look at as they were to eat. The food was good overall, though the service was a bit slow during our visit. It is on the pricier side, but you’re really paying for the vibe and the creative, Instagram-worthy drinks and dishes. Great place to go if you’re celebrating or just want something different!
Friend suggested this place, which is aesthetically pretty cool. I'm struggling with its ambition versus its reality: it's got really Neat ideas but I feel like it's also a very Times Square restaurant which may need more clarity on what it is. The details here seem murky. Many people come for the desserts- I think they excel at these. Definitely consider milkshakes. They're AMAZING. At the same time there are other things about this place which seemed concerning- a broken men's room with water on the floor; sticky floors overall, gross amounts of crumbs and food on the stairs in the back; what appeared like one very unhappy maitre d; insanely loud music at some points (when people ordered a $125 sundae, a song is chosen and played arguably too loudly); advertised, yet unavailable rubber duckie toys offered with a meal (kid was Bummed!), and a weird mishmash of foods, menus & selections, drinks, and dining areas. It's got a number of distinct really promising features, too, though! There's a bar up stairs and downstairs, there's gelatos, candies, dinner and desserts, and the dining area options could be great for small sizes day 4 or less, maybe dates. They also have fun menu ideas, which are pretty exciting like hot Cheeto burgers, chicken and waffles, and foot-long cheese sticks. But this place isn't a steak house. It's not where I would order lobster. I'm not sure I'd buy a flight of shots in a large rubber duckie either. All of that's on the menu, though. After seeing stalls ordered, I'm glad I didn't. It's weird. And then the other options like a $150 gold leaf burger, the $125 sundae with a song-choice, and other foods with upgrades are kitschy (but exciting I'm sure for some)! Ultimately, I think it's a 4 star establishment quickly aiming for a 3 if it continues to ignore a few basic issues: Menus are too confusing, large, and jarring in terms of options. The dinner food options especially seem erratic. The drink options also are gigantic and just take too much time to read what the options worth trying are... The restaurant feels LOST. Oh And they're running a TV show where they're checking at the end about how we felt about the experience etc And offered drinks to film us for their show and have a good time. Meh. Might be very cool for others. I think if there's a distinct thing you Should order, I'd say fries, burgers, pasta. The steaks looked... Suss. But like, if sweet cocktails are your thing or desserts, I think come for those! It got an A restaurant grade but I'll be honest, I was surprised after eating there and seeing all of the above. But if you want maximalist desserts, you could do worse than come here. Their shakes are actually insane and cool but I would recommend ordering a shake or cocktails and Maybe a burger. I think their desserts are their best feature but not for the faint-hearted. Expect to pay a lot.
I expected this place to be livelier but I guess we went too early. It's very small but we were seated immediately. The decorations are nice but I kinda thought it would be a little fancier. It's pretty pricey for what you get. The burgers were delicious and made to your liking. The chocolate milkshake was delicious but small for $16. I chose the strawberry lemonade drink with the fancy smoke and it was just okay. I couldn't finish it because it was a bit sour for my taste. It was okay to visit once.
Just ate here. Positives, Generous portions. Fantastic atmosphere. Our server Abby was friendly and very attentive. Kids loved the giant stack of pancakes. Negatives, the menu prices in the restaurant are higher than the menu posted online. When I asked about the discrepancy I was told it’s a “ new menu”. There is a review in July saying the same thing. Shady. Also was charged $17 for a side of French fries. Menu said $10. They were able to correct but I don’t like eating at places I have to check up on.
The food wasn’t so bad, we had to burger and Thai pasta. The drinks could have been better. Didn’t have must taste. Amy, our server was amazing!! Had to tip her. Ask for her when you go! Now the front desk lady, Nicole, customer service is horrible and needs to be looked into. We went on a Monday, which was a holiday but it wasn’t crowded.
It's an experience. Menu full of interesting drinks, desserts, and entrees. Famous people have come here for the specialty drinks and Ice cream combinations. Food was relatively good. The chicken Parm for two was humongous but the chicken was over done. The Thai noodle dishes were good. The burgers are also good. Desserts to choose from are ample in size and great in taster and presentation. It was a bit loud where we were seated and there was someone there also with a crying baby. The waiter was great, his support staff mediocre. Prices are between $25-35 for most entrees.
We recently dined at the Sugar Factory Restaurant and was impressed by the extensive food selection. The Halloween theme added a fun and festive touch, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. However, I noticed that the menu felt a bit dated and could really benefit from a fresh printing. While most of the servers were enthusiastic, there were a few who came across as rude and detached—perhaps this was due to the gratuity already being included in the prices. The music featured a mix of modern tunes and classic hits, though it was a bit on the loud side. Overall, the aesthetic of the place was a solid 10 out of 10, making it a unique dining experience!
Came here for a holiday midday brunch. Ordered burgers, omelettes, waffles, and sliders. Everything hung was pretty decent. The service was good, but it was sooo cold on the downstairs level. Upstairs where the bathrooms are is much warmer. The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. So festive!! However, the establishment is definitely in need of a modern makeover. Renovate so yall can be restored to your former glory!
I went to Sugar Factory and the overall experience was good. The atmosphere is pleasant, the place is lively but comfortable, and you can have a great time whether you're with friends or just relaxing. The food was good and the drinks were satisfying. I want to highlight the service provided by our waiter, Samuel. He was very friendly, respectful, and attentive throughout our visit. He was attentive to our table without being intrusive, explained things well, and maintained a professional yet relaxed attitude, which made everything flow smoothly. In short, a positive experience. Good atmosphere, good service, and a place I would definitely return to, especially if I get Samuel as my waiter again.
My husband and I had a reservation for 7:30PM on a Friday night. I chose this place because of the TikToks I’ve seen of the restaurant, and when browsing their menu online it looked like a cool place. When we got there the place was PACKED, like literally the waiting area everyone was squished like a can of sardines. The hostess you could tell was trying to keep everyone happy, kudos to her because I know she was under a lot of stress. We were seated around 7:55PM, but only because we picked sitting at the bar vs a table. While we were waiting quite a few of the families with kids were getting annoyed because of the wait, which I definitely get but I feel like there needs to be a better waiting process. Anywho, as for the food, they have a good variety of different items, I personally didn’t order food I was focused on getting a shake. I had the Blue mermaid shake (something like that) and aside from all the fanciness it was just a vanilla shake that was decorated and priced at $26. I also ordered the blue Hawaiian margarita ($20) , which was strong. S/O to the bartender Tommy, he was awesome and very friendly. He was on his A-game, and just watching him constantly get drink orders out was impressive. My husband had the mango margarita which was tasty. Atmosphere was vibrant, music was catchy, and the workers were working their butts off. I do think it’s a little over-hyped but worth the try if you have patience to wait.
food was phenomenal, service was kinda slow for a slow day but that's alright. the reason why i knocked a star off is because the women's restroom doors DO NOT SHUT OR LOCK!!! you have to hold it closed with your hands. my boyfriend used the men's and he didn't have that problem. really weird.
Place is good, service is friendly, moderately priced, but the milkshakes are incredibly overpriced. $25 for a milkshake is insane, in my opinion. If you’re charging for the donuts and cookies and stuff give an option to take those off for a price difference because I can get 3-4 shakes for that price. Food is not bad, just wish they gave your bacon with the waffle without up-charging on it. Overall nice spot just touristy like the stardust diner, so a little more expensive.

Food was delicious! Service was a bit a slow but that is to be expected and ambiance was spectacular! Kids were mesmerized! Wish they did have smaller portions for kids!

Nice spot for a breakfast sweet treat! Conveniently located in Times Square, it makes it an easy and ideal location to the start the day from on a NYC adventure day!
If you order hot and cold food at the same time, do not expect it to come out together! Had mine and then the rest of family waited another 20 mins . Still changed me 30 dollars service charge. Foo…
The atmosphere was decent. Our waitress, Cynthia, was great! The drinks could’ve used fresh juice instead of syrup. My original plate was cold. However, she handled it well and was able to resolve it. Overall, we had a good time.
"We visited the Sugar Factory in Times Square and had a sweet experience! The restaurant was a great spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a vast array of desserts and sweet treats. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the service was good. However, we did notice that the menu lacked lactose-free options, which was a bit of a drawback for my wife and son. They couldn't enjoy the ice cream options, which was a shame. Despite this, the food was tasty, and the portions were generous. If you're looking for a sweet spot in Times Square and don't have any dietary restrictions, the Sugar Factory is worth checking out. Just be aware of the limited options for those with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies."
The service is good and the whole experience has a visual "wow" factor, which is great for Instagram. But in reality all of the food we ordered was very bland tasting, the music is so loud you can't hear the person next to you, and the tables are so close that you feel like you're at a cafeteria table with 15 other people you don't know.
Went in for breakfast on a Monday morning. The good: the chicken and waffles was very good. The chicken made it. The not so good: staff was indifferent at best. The Cinnamon apple crumble pancakes had very little apples, no cinnamon, and no crumble. When asked about it the waiter said it was in between the pancakes and walked away. It wasn't and that was the last we saw him until we got the check.
The atmosphere is obviously great! The food was awful. The tomato bisque soup was more like a stew snd could be eaten with a fork. The princess sliders were not pink like the photos just a pink tint and no duck. The Alfredo was one of the worst I have ever tasted-think frozen section at a grocery store. The pretzel was good but the cheese sauce was cold. We would not go back. Service was super slow but ok. The bartender was absolutely amazing and friendly and really the only reason I gave three stars there.
We have been to sugar factory in Atlantic City and this time we decided to try this location in New York City for this Holiday season, and this place is decorated nice perfect for Christmas season, it's not as big as the AC one this place is 2 story dining area and the space is not big, we got seated right away as we have advance reservations, the food is ok and the service is quick seems like they are in a hurry the person that brought my sons milkshake drop the mug turn around and left right away without noticing the cake on top of the milkshake fell on the table, the server forgot to give my husband his coke order, thanks God we got Groupon as we save a lot on this pricey place. The place needed some remodeling their bathroom is outdated and needed some maintenance, the service is ok but we feel rushed, it's hard to move around as the table is too closed to each other, if you have younger kids with stroller forget about dining on this place, my kids enjoyed their milkshakes and meal and I did enjoyed taking pictures on the decorations. We probably coming back to check this place out another season and perhaps change my pout or review
I surprised my family and made reservations for a late lunch, early dinner. My family was tired of walking around but our reservation wasn't ready for another 45min. I figured I would try to see if we could be seated earlier. The young lady checked our reservation time and said she could seat us early and do one better, sit us upstairs. I was so glad because I heard upstairs was a whole vibe. We sat and got a chance to review the menu. Ordered our fancy drinks that we shared (because our kids NEVER finish anything!). We then decided to order a few appetizers to share. We ordered Sample Platter, Fries and the Rainbow Sliders. The food wasn't bad. The Sliders came with a super cute light-up rubber duck! The fries were good and I enjoyed them as well as the Mac & Cheese Balls and the buffalo wings. Our waiter also was nice enough to give us an extra rubber duck since we have 2 children. All in all, I enjoyed our time, food and the atmosphere. Since I am older, I like to eat out at odd times with the hope that the restaurant wouldn't be busy. It all worked out! My only gripe is the 20% gratuity no matter what size party... other than that, good to go! I wish we had a smaller meal so we could indulge in a dessert as I heard from other reviews that their desserts were delish! Oh well, maybe next time we will try it in another city!

If extortion was a restaurant it would be this. I went here for my 1 year anniversary and I felt the food was definitely not worth the price. We got lucky by getting a table without a reservation (thank God) but when I got the pretty in pink drink it does not taste good for being one of the favorite ones on the menu. The Classic watermelon Pina colada big cup drink was good but it was mostly ice than there was actual drink. The waffle breakfast sandwich was also good too. The problem is this is a very small place for how hyped up it is. Also the problem was when I got the bill. Me and my boyfriend added the prices of everything on the bill and expected it to be around 115 dollars when said and done. When we got the bill it said 148 dollars. Beware that they make you pay 20 percent of your bill at the end of checkout as part of the gratitude. I find it shocking they have the nerve to ask for a additional tip at the end of receipt when around a extra 30 dollars I wasn't aware about magically pops up on my receipt. I also barely saw my waiter making it even more crazy. This the third time I went back here and felt the price wasn't worth it. Ima learn and just never come back here.
Waited 1 hour for an our 8:15pm reservation for a server who didn’t know the menu and was overwhelmed. Ordered the foot long mozzarella stick that they were out of that night. Ordered the pink cloud hot cocoa that Was basically strawberry milk with whipped cream & mini marshmallows. Not what the description said with marshmallow fluff and pink pearls. It was supposed to be white chocolate cocoa that was pink. The server took that off our ticket. Ordered the sampler platter & it was a 2.25 out of 5. Reminded me of Perkins restaurant. We also ordered rainbow sliders which were rare. Server didn’t ask how we wanted them cooked. Ordered cookie skillet and it took forever even though we asked her to put it in when she brought our main entree. We were there for a total of 2.5 hours. Lower your expectations if this is on your travel plans. The smoking drinks are fun, but I would save them for a very special occasion at $40 each. Desserts are fine there too; However, don’t expect them to look like the picture or be as described. We went there 3 years ago when we were in NYC and it was a completely different experience which is why we wanted to go back. Very disappointed in the overall experience. They need a manager that actually goes and checks in on the tables because their servers aren’t cutting it alone. Especially, on a Saturday night. Best part was the music playlist!
Such a fun restaurant with delicious food and good drinks. But the service is horrific. We went in at 4 PM so they weren’t busy and we had 3 different people serving us but none of them came around more than once. I would have had another drink and we were planning to have one of their insane shakes but since the waiter never came back we just got the check and left. We sat right by the cash register and it was social hour for the employees. They all kept standing there chatting but not helping their guests. Worst part was when we got the bill there was a mandatory 20% gratuity. No wonder the service was horrible!
We were really excited to try Sugar Factory NYC because the atmosphere is definitely fun and the place looks cool, but our experience was disappointing. We had a reservation and the restaurant wasn’t even full, yet it took about 45 minutes before anyone took our drink order. One person in our group never even got to order a drink because our server didn’t come back. The food was honestly awful. The burger came out cold, the chicken fingers were stale and we ordered the sliders plain with nothing on them, but they still came fully loaded. The receipt even showed they weren’t supposed to include those items, and the kids wouldn’t eat them. We also weren’t given the special holiday menu and didn’t even know it existed until we saw the table next to us with it. Overall, it was a $300 bill and the food and service didn’t match the price at all. The concept is cool, but we won’t be back. A

The food was good and portion sizes ample. However, I DO NOT recommend this place. There’s the little things like funny smell on arrival, music so loud you could barely chat and tables so close together you’re eating with everyone else there - but that’s just me, you might like that particular smell and you might like sitting with strangers. The big issue was the service. 20% mandatory tip - the service was awful. Food just chucked down in front of us (wrong meals to wrong people without caring who ordered what), our side dish was forgotten and then we were forgotten. No one checked on us, no one offered us their famous desserts… and the place was dead. Staff hanging out chatting - we were clearly an inconvenience. Such a shame being our last night in New York. All previous restaurants, tip was obviously expected but not mandatory and you could tell - staff genuinely made so much effort and deserved the 20-25% tip we gave. This place knows it’s mandatory and so don’t bother. Awful experience.
I was highly disappointed with the presentation of the drinks and quality of the food. I went to celebrate my son’s birthday and a $47 drink came out in a dirty big fish bowl that had the logo smeared off. I thought the quality of everything will look how it was online. Also they gave us this whole Halloween themed menu and nothing was available to purchase. Sugar factory please purchase new cups for presentation for $60 drinks. I will attach a picture of what I mean. $300 spent and wish I went somewhere else.
Personally DO NOT recommend. My partner and I went there for something hot to drink and food or dessert. Once we got there, it was something odd about this place. Christmas decorations are very lovely and very Christmassy, but the atmosphere there is not right, the weird vibes are putting you off. We got the table. The waitress came, took drinks order and as soon as brought the drinks we ordered the cakes and an ice-cream. When I wanted to take a sip of my coffee I realised that it’s nearly cold. We could not see anyone form the stuff, we waited 10min, no one came. My partner went to the till and said that we want to pay for the coffee. The waitress came and was supprised that we wanted to go. I said to her that the coffee was nearly cold, and when you order coffee and cakes it’s obvious that they go in pair together. The waitress said “sorry”, and walked away. They did not care at all. The worst what annoyed me the most, was that they were rushing to put a service charge on this service. In the menu also says in red that “it is a mandatory to pay 20% service charge”. Excuse me? First provide the service before you demand something like that. It is a gesture not a law for you to put this on a menu in a red colour. I asked for the service charged to be removed. They did but put some tax on it. I really could not be bothered anyway. I hope the $1.8 dollar made them feel better and boosted their ego. Ps: I cannot rate food, we were not privileged enough to try anything. But I do not recommend coffee.
Came for the famous drinks and atmosphere. Was very disappointed. We made a reservation and still had to wait. The seating felt like it was on top of each other. Felt overwhelming. The fish bowl goblets look terrible. There’s no consistency with the drinks. I ordered a Hawaiian for the duck & it didnt come with a duck. The menus are so badly worn you can’t even really read what you’re ordering. I’ve been to sugar factory in Miami and Atlantic City I had high expectations for NYC and I was thoroughly disappointed. (Also the waiters need to pour the full drink. She poured 3/4 of the drink and took the rest with her) maybe because the gratuity is automatic the effort was lacking. Will not be returning.
The difference between a mandatory tip and a voluntary tip is staggering. I don't mean in the amount you tip, that's usually the same c.20%. The problem with the Sugar Factory is that the 20% gratuity is mandatory. This means that nobody needs to try and earn it. Before I get into the details of what that means, one more point about the structure of the tip: only 17% of that 20% mandatory tip goes to the staff. The other 3% goes on the restaurant's expenses??! What?! This is insane, and actually insulting. If they really want a 'tip' for their expenses, maybe they can try and turn the temperature down to save that money off of their heating bill. It was baking hot in there. But the reason that the mandatory tip was such an issue tonight was because the staff simply didn't care about us. The waiters didn't check who's meal was for who, and just started placing meals down in front of whoever they felt like. We had to then swap plates around and do half of their job for them. Yet I HAVE to pay them extra for that? We finished our meals, and were left waiting for around 25 mins with no one approaching the table and asking if we were done, if we were ok, or if we wanted anything else. Nothing. Instead, it took us getting up and putting our coats on, ready to leave, before someone finally turned up with our bill. They were quick enough then though! But again, no question about how everything had been, or apology for leaving us waiting. And I'm FORCED to pay them extra for that? I understand that tipping is expected in this country, and I have no problem with tipping when the service has been worth that tip. I would never have left a single cent as a tip for the experience we received tonight. If you expect a tip, then I expect exemplary service. If your tips are MANDATORY, then I DEMAND exemplary service.
Besides the sweet waitress there was nothing great about this place. The table under was sticky when I went to move it. Cheap utensils and dinnerware. Bathroom ledge is used at storage and bathroom mirror is trash killing the aesthetics, tables are outdated, touched back of chair next to me and it was sticky. Burger was overcooked and the ginger ale tasted like citrus, pasta was meh. Host needs to smile. This place needs a deep clean. Napkins on the floor next to me. Should have went to pizza shop. Overpriced probably due to past celebrities. Could keep going but I think I’ve said enough.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced! Seen our server twice. Once to order our drinks and once to order food. Waited 30 mins on our drinks.. food came out fast..but my daughter ordered the Christmas sliders which were supposed to be green and red. However, they were black instead of green. We waited another 30 mins after we finished eating just to pay .. and had to flag someone down to even take our payment. 20% auto gratuity is included so it makes sense why they could care less. The server overlooked our table several times and we were even STANDING WITH OUR COATS ON.. clearly ready to go. Didn’t even get a thank you or anything when i received my card back. There was no light in the women’s restroom so I’m trying to use my flashlight on my phone to find the changing table to change my toddler... turns out they don’t even have a changing table. They offered me a “family restroom” but there was no changing table in there either. Had to lay my coat on the floor and lay my toddler down just to change him. Then an employee is banging on the door & come to find out it’s an employee bathroom. How are you going to have high chairs for kids and claim to be “kid friendly” with no changing table??!!! Just overall disappointing. The best part was the Christmas decorations.. but definitely not worth the $150 I paid for HORRIBLE service. Would not recommend.
This is my third different sugar factory and by far the worst. Food, drinks, and milkshakes were horrible. We didn't finish anything we ordered. The candy store was very small. The best thing we had was the candy on the milkshake. I would not recommend this location at all. We also order chicken tenders that we did not take a picture of but we're cold and nasty.
Place had an extreme downgrade. Server was okay and really honest to let us know that the previous manager left, which is why it’s not as controlled. And you can tell, it’s by far from calm. At least this time the bathroom wasn’t bad. Bathroom had a better upgrade than the food and replacing manager. Who ever is mainly in charge needs to get themselves together because it’s not living up to EXPECTATIONS of THE Sugar Factory franchise. Looking forward to reach the CEO via LinkedIn.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Sugar Factory - Times Square. We had an 11:00 PM reservation, and the restaurant was not busy at all, which made what followed even more frustrating. From the moment we walked in, the service was poor. The hostess was unwelcoming, and the issues continued with the wait staff throughout the night. About 60 percent of our meals were brought out incorrectly. One meal did not arrive until long after the rest of the table had already finished eating. There was no sense of urgency or ownership in correcting the mistakes. Halfway through the meal, the music was suddenly blasted at an extremely high volume for no apparent reason. Multiple people at our table had to ask for it to be lowered just so we could have a conversation. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of accountability. I would never ask for anything to be discounted, but given the number of errors and the overall experience, I would have expected someone to at least acknowledge it and offer something proactively. There are too many dining options in New York City to justify an experience like this. I would not return.
I believe that the sugar factory is a great chain restaurant but this establishment has made me beyond disappointed. We made a reservation for 7:30, as a large party we showed up early to make sure that we wouldn’t lose our table. With this in mind we showed up @7 we did not get our table till 8. As other reviews stated there wasn’t a waiting room or enough room for us to wait I constantly felt in their way. When we got sat we all received waters but the glasses were dirty, still sugar filled, or had a weird red substance floating inside the water. As pictured below. The waiter was extremely nice and I had asked if he could replace the waters and once again they glasses came back the same. I do not blame our waiter at all but I am just disappointed. Not to be a negative person but the atmosphere was good as long as you enjoy music loud enough to be heard from space. The food wasn’t worth the price especially when it came out cold and wrong. The whole point of the sugar factory is a sweet delight for parties and celebrations. The only thing I’d be celebrating is getting out of this crowded place.
Sugar factories are put in touristy areas on purpose. This has got to be the worst one I’ve been too. It was overcrowded and the amount of people waiting. They need a better system to have people wait instead of cramming everyone in to the area in front of the bar. Security also instead of being rude and telling you to move closer to people should maybe turn people away as it’s a fire hazard. We made reservations and still had to wait 25 minutes for a table. What’s the point of a reservation? Also seems like even if you make a reservation and they check you in you just get out on the bottom of their very long list. The tables are also very close together making it hard to get in and out of booth tables with others sitting next to you. Our server was nice but clearly very busy. He answered some questions but felt like we were bothering him at some points. Two of the managers came around and seemed friendly. We let them know I was still missing my drink and a couple things were forgotten. She said she’d look into it. Still took a little for these to come. The food was decent, typical of what you would find in a chain restaurant I feel. The one thing I didn’t care for was them not asking how we’d want our burgers cooked. They came out well done. Like I said earlier I know it’s close to time square and a touristy area but they can do better about the amount of people. I’ve been to several other sugar factories that are also in touristy areas but never experienced the mayhem like this one.
I’ve been to The Sugar Factory several times. I’ve visited the former NYC locations at the Meatpacking District and the location near W. 72nd Street. I’ve even visited Sugar Factories out of State. Can I just say this by far is one of THE WORST locations I’ve ever visited. I visited this location in late September 2025. When we arrived, we were greeted but the Hostess they were polite and put our cake in the fridge right away as we waited for the remainder of our party to arrive. Several members in our party needed to take the elevator in which staff was gracious enough to assist them. We were seated and waited for or waiter or any staff to come over and at least give us water. After about 20 minutes a staff member came over to inform us that our waiter just arrived and they should be with us shortly. Another 15 minutes passed I requested someone come over and at least serve us water and take our drink order. The person said they would be right back another 10-15 minutes passed by. I don’t blame our waiter Steven as he had just arrived for his shift. I’m disappointed in the staff that were there and even the manager should have been team players and stepped in until Steven was ready to attend to us. Many of the menu items that are posted online and not on the menu they have in the restaurant. Many of the items we ordered our waiter had to come back to tell us it was unavailable. This goes for both food and drinks. It probably took about another hour before we received our food. Being we were such a large party I also feel as though it was unfair for Steven to attend to us and the other patrons in our area. Many of our food was bland no type of flavor which was very disappointing. For such expensive dishes the food should have some type of flavor to it. My mother's salmon was overcooked and dry. Every Sugar Factory I’ve ever been to had candy section and memorabilia but nope not this one. It wasn’t even worth taking a picture of. The restaurant did take off the cake cutting fee and an additional amount from our bill because many of the items were unavailable. The ladies room is upstairs and the men’s room down in the basement. The ladies seemed like a restroom in a public location like a bus stop. The toilet tissue holders were hanging off the walls it was dirty, etc. The restaurant accepts cash and card. This location is accessible via public transportation. This was a horrible experience especially for my daughter’s birthday celebration. This location will never see me return I was very disappointed. I even felt embarrassed as I bragged about the restaurant to my family about the restaurant.
I wanted to like The Sugar Factory so much but after the experience I had it left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never return to this location again. For starters if you want to have a chill dinner to celebrate your birthday or any birthdays I suggest you steer clear of any sugar factory as this place is 9 times out 10 filled with kids running around. The music is extremely loud, the section my family and I were seated wasn’t clean and the reservation system is a joke. I reserved for a party of 9 at 8:15pm. 2 of my guests canceled, when I got there I let the hostess know, no problem. She told me that the place was running behind with their reservations when I asked her how long would it be to be seated she couldn’t tell me. I tried to remain patient as it is Times Square, well we ended up waiting for an entire HOUR. I was ready to throw in the towel and go somewhere else to eat, until I saw a party of 10 people get seated before mine. When I asked the hostess why this was she told me it was because that party arrived a couple of minutes earlier than me. What? So what’s the point of making reservations? They have more of a first come first serve system than an actual reservations system. Our servers name was Cynthia who was nice but she would disappear for 20-25 minutes so the ordering process was excruciatingly long and slow. For appetizers we got the foot long mozzarella stick which was enough to feed all 7 of us, and although the mozzarella stick was good the middle of it was raw/not melted. For entrees I got the sweet and sour chicken noodle Thai which was really good! Really light and favorable. For drinks I got the Diosa Mimosa designed by Natti Natasha which was also very good. For dessert we ordered the brownie sundae which was also good. My check came out to $437 with 20% of gratuity included. And if I can be honest … it wasn’t $400 well spent. I’m willing to give this business another chance just in a different location because the food and drink were really good. I just feel like the Times Square location is very poorly managed. Overall by the time it was to order dessert I was already over the whole experience and was ready to go home. My reservation was for 8:15pm and I made it home at 1:30am all of that due to wait time at the front and the delay in ordering. Never again.
