Opiniones de Sun Hing Lung Co New York
Good stuff at a great price. You get your food pretty quickly too! I've always gone to the cart near Elizabeth Street, but that line moves SOOO slow. This place is a lot faster, and just as good. Got the fresh shrimp and roast pork rice rolls, and was pleased with both.
Known for made to order rice rolls with various ingredients and freshly made tofu. Great old school spot to get a cheap delicious snack in the area.
Ohmygod i am still dreaming about this place. The rice rolls are amazingly good, perfect texture, tasty, affordable price !! Everything is home made and made to order. You can see it right in front of you! I respect the hard work of everyone in that shop, truly amazing how hard they work to maintain this traditional, authentic and delicious dish. So satisfying to eat there !! Thank you so much.
For a hole-in-the-wall street side food joint this is quite good. Authentic cantonese rice rolls at prices you just can't beat. It's takeout only with no seating. So if you want to have your treat while it's still steaming hot, be prepared to stand and eat on the sidewalk. Most folks do that so you'll have plenty company while you eat. Everytime I'm in FiDi or SoHo I literally hike up/down here for the rice rolls!
Hole in the wall eatery. A buddy of mine knows the owner, Kenny. Got a chance to meet him and he’s a good guy. There’s actually 3 locations if you didn’t know. The rice rolls are only $2.50 and 1 will fill you up. The texture may not be for everyone (soft and mushy) but it’s no surprise the place always has a small line; it moves very fast though no worries. Make sure to try the delicious peanut sauce (yellow bottle).
It's a small shop in Chinatown that's well-known for its steamed rice rolls, priced at just $1.50. You place your order right at the window, and although it's a popular spot, the wait wasn't too long. There's no seating, but many people stand and enjoy their food right in front of the store. I recommend it if you're looking for a quick, tasty takeout bite. It was my first time trying streamed rice rolls and it was good, just add some of the condiments they have to it and you will love it.
I will admit I am new to rice rolls but something about this place - the freshness (they literally cook it in right in front of you), the perfect texture, the sauces (combination of the hoisin, soy, peanut? I think I got that right) is magic. Perfect breakfast for under $3 (would still be perfect for double or triple that)
We missed the M9 and decided to hustle over a block for rice rolls over at Sun Hing Lung Ho Fun Tofu - and we’re so glad we did. Only in Chinatown can you get so much good food for 4 people (we only have 3 but one is a teen!) for less than $20! We ordered the dried shrimp rice roll (yummy and has fresh green onion!!!), fresh shrimp rice roll, beef rice roll, pork rice roll, fresh tofu, and decided to try the jelly they had stacked on a table (it’s jello that comes with a sweet sauce to pour on top) and the grand total was less than $20! This isn’t Cheung Fun Noodles but the variety and kindness of the nice woman at the window made this just as great! Definitely a must go for rice rolls if you’re shopping at the grocery and hangry :)
Very authentic spot! I came around 10 AM—no line, and only waited about 3 minutes for the fresh veggie rice rolls. I wanted to try the fried tofu, but they were out, so the lady kindly offered me the sweet tofu instead—and it was so good! I totally see why this place is so popular with locals. I found it through TikTok and was not disappointed—super fresh, delicious, and only $5? Wow!!!
CASH ONLY. For the price, this is an excellent rice roll that is SUPER QUICK. No more waiting 40 minutes at any other location. The ladies working here will get your order in 3-5 minutes flat. I highly recommend the egg rice roll and add scallions. They also keep sauces outside that are all delicious: hoisin, peanut sauce, soy sauce, and sriracha. I personally just added all 4 and it was delicious. This is really great for the price and might now be my go to spot when I need this.
No-frills Cantonese steamed rice rolls at an unbeatable price. The food is simple yet so flavorful and comforting - be sure to add sauces like soy, peanut, and hoisin after getting your rice roll! This is primarily a takeout spot, but you can still enjoy your meal in the open space outside the restaurant.
I love Cheung Fun aka rice rolls! One of my absolute favourite dim sum dishes of all time. This unassuming, hole-in-the-wall (literally) store is serving up fresh rice rolls for a great price and I highly recommend you stop by when in Chinatown. What we got: - Roasted Pork Rice Rolls - Curry Fish Balls Rice Rolls Final thoughts: This spot has no seating as you order at a take-out window. Don't forget to pour on some sauces before enjoying your freshly made rice rolls. The rice rolls were made to order and perfectly bouncy. Our two orders came to a total of $6.75 (bring cash!). If you're looking for great cheap Chinatown eats, Sun Hing Lung should definitely be on your list.
The real Taste of China If you're in Chinatown, the small Chinese street food joint on Henry Street is a must-visit. With around 15 seats, it's as authentic as it gets. The place is like a little piece of China in New York, with way over 90% of the patrons of Chinese descent. The menu is straightforward, but the flavors are really great, and it won't break the bank. We tried the noodle soup with ribs and the pan-fried dumplings - both were delicious. The service is quick, and the food arrived promptly. In summary, it's a fantastic culinary journey into the heart of Chinatown, offering a taste of China that won't disappoint.
I had a craving for some rice rolls and a quick search in the area showed me that I had this spot booked for some reason. Not sure what that reason was or why there are such great reviews because these rice rolls were not good. I ordered a beef one and a curry fish ball one. The beef isn't like dim sum spots where there's a bunch of ground beef inside. Instead, it's just pieces of ground beef scattered throughout. It was so little that you could barely even taste it. The fish ball was basic. The sauce was soo watery and it was really messy. Overall, the texture of the rice rolls wasn't too good either. It was too sticky/mushy. I can also asked for an extra container but note, that they charge an extra 25 cents for this. The sriracha and hoisin sauce on the side are also watered down. This could quite possible be some of the worst rice rolls I have ever eaten.
Sun Hing Lung/Plain Steamed Rice Roll: The service was fast and friendly and the employee was very nice. But, unfortunately this spot is out to lunch (no pun intended). My gut was in a knot when I saw how deserted the line was because there wasn’t any. And it was confirmed when my order looked like discolored cabbage and tasted as bland as unseasoned rice; even the soy sauce didn’t help.
