Opiniones de Thai Son New York
Vietnamese restaurant with many kind of vn foods. I like spring roll and special triangle spring roll. Com phan (Vietnamese rice with kind of food with soup, stir vegetables, caramel fish, grilled pork chops…) very delicious and fresh. Broken rice served with grilled porkchop delicious too. Highly recommend to come here to try authentic taste of Vietnamese foods. Valuables food with nice price. Staff kindly and quickly served. Nhà hàng Việt nam ngon ở china town new york.
Thai Son Vietnamese is a rare gem in NYC and one of those places that instantly feels right the moment you walk in. The pho is exceptional—deep, clean, patiently simmered broth with real soul behind it. You can taste the care and tradition in every bowl. The spring rolls are fresh, balanced, and perfectly textured, making them an ideal companion to the soups. Add in the drink specials, and it becomes a place you can comfortably linger or refuel quickly, depending on your mood. The decor carries a beautiful traditional essence—warm tones, classic Vietnamese touches, and paintings that quietly tell a story without trying too hard. It feels authentic, grounded, and welcoming, not manufactured. What truly sets Thai Son apart is the service: fast, attentive, and genuinely professional. The staff move with purpose and kindness, making the entire experience smooth and effortless—even during busy hours. In a city overflowing with options, Thai Son stands out for doing things the right way. Honest food, strong flavors, great energy, and consistency. A Chinatown staple and a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Thai Son in New York City is a hidden gem serving incredible Vietnamese food. The grilled chicken is juicy and perfectly charred, the grilled pork chop is tender and flavorful with a sweet-savory glaze, and the Vietnamese spring rolls are fresh, crisp, and delicious. Great flavors, friendly service, and excellent value — a must-try spot in the city.
I absolutely LOVE Thai Son. They have some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever eaten, and I could not recommend it more. I come here every year for my birthday because of how delicious it is. My favorite dish is the number 47, noodles with spring rolls. The food also comes out within 10 minutes of ordering.
Delicious Vietnamese on the edge of Chinatown. Many people were eating pho. I'll have that next time. The spring rolls were fresh. Egg roll and pork vermicelli was incredible. The little fried eggs rolls mixed up with noodles is out of this world if you've never tried it!! We really enjoyed kicking off our day at Thai Son
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants every time I come to the city, I make sure to stop by! I always order the beef cubes with a side of egg rolls, and it’s consistently delicious. I recently brought a couple of my good friends here, and they loved it too. Definitely a 10/10 experience!
My family's favorite Vietnamese spot, and I completely agree with them. Additionally, it's in a great location. The pho is delicious, and the spring roll is totally crispy. I was surprised by the generous portion of soup served in a large bowl lol, but overall experience and the service were good.
Super quick service, yummy food, good portions! Fried chicken thigh was crunchy and moist. Grilled pork in the vermicelli was charred nicely and flavorful. I would come back!

Hands down the best Vietnamese Pho place to go to if you are in Chinatown Manhattan! It's the same owners of Nam Son at Grand St! Their Pho is consistent and tasty! No frills atmosphere.

Really enjoyed it here. Their Bun Cha Hanoi is the best I've found, both for taste and price. It's about half the price of other places I like in the city and tastes even better!

3.6 🌟 #24 spring rolls of 4 - $8.75 cash / $9.06 card #2 medium bowl w/ fixins - $14.95 cash / $15.47 card #9 grilled pork chop noodle soup - $14.50 cash / $15.01 card *NOTE - This place and Pasteur on the same block are the only ones open on a Monday The amount of food given was good. The broth came hot but it felt more oily. It was definitely a less clean tasting broth and more beefy in a oily-coat-your-throat way. I like that the #2 bowl has eye of round, brisket, tripe, tendon and beef balls. #3 has everything BUT beef balls. There was a good amount of noodles, but I prefer the cleaner tasting broth next door at Nha Trang. The spring rolls were good. They show both cash and card price here which was interesting. It made the menu chaotic to look at but it definitely was helpful to see price differences. Price wise, it is in the middle between the three viet spots on this block. I would come here again if Nha trang was closed for a quick viet meal.
Thai Son gets the job done. Perhaps it used to be better. I like that this spot is spacious and bright. The pho is alright, not the best, but, again, gets the job done. I recently ordered their BBQ Pork Banh Mi, which came out to ~$15.50! (A bit pricey for a banh mi, if you ask me.) However, I was so hungry that I devoured it - it was delicious! The bread was nice and crispy and pork was grilled nicely. The staff here is meh. I ordered my banh mi to go, sat on the side for over 10 min, and had to go up to the counter to ask for it. The banh mi had been sitting there, but I wasn't made aware that it was ready.. Anyway, I personally prefer Nha Trang One a bit more, right next door, for their pho, imo.
As far as restaurants go, this wasn't bad. On the pricier side as well, but not over the top. For starters, the chicken dish didn't have much flavor and also had that "chickeny not-fresh" taste to it, but luckily they had siracha, a chili sauce, and some sort of brown sauce on the table which really helped the dish out. The beef dish was really good, but still could have done with more spice as well so I added some of the brown sauce and a bit of siracha. After doing that, I thought the dish was perfect. I didn't try the soup dish for myself but I was told it was good. The service itself was fine, but it's worth noting that we specifically had to call someone after waiting roughly ~10 minutes for the bill. Not a big deal though because they seemed to be very busy. Also, I usually use a restroom at a restaurant to judge how clean the restaurant in general might be and happy to say that the restroom passed inspection. And for anyone reading this review and wondering, there are TWO single-person restrooms available for customers. So overall, not bad food or a bad restaurant, but personally wouldn't visit again because the food was pretty mediocre and there's no need to settle for mediocre food in NYC of all places.

We visited on a holiday and waited about 20 minutes for a table—a standard wait for a busy day, though it felt a bit longer with children in tow. The food was definitely the highlight of the meal: the grilled pork chop with rice, bun bo, and fried spring rolls were all delicious and well-prepared. The curry noodle soup with chicken drumsticks was another standout. However, our dining experience was hindered by the logistics of the space. Our party of five was squeezed into a very cramped table directly in the kitchen's path, requiring us to shift our chairs multiple times to stay out of the way of staff. While the restaurant has a spacious "old school" feel, some of the decor—like the synthetic plants—could use a refresh to help the atmosphere match the quality of the kitchen. Most concerning was the state of the restrooms; they were quite unkempt, with paper cluttering the floor and no paper towels available to dry hands. I would consider returning for the food, but I would likely request a different table and hope for improved attention to the facilities.
15$ for a bowl of pho with well-cooked beef. It’s not bad and good either. The broth is quite bland, not rich like Nha Trang One, the Vietnamese restaurant right next door. They both don’t serve fresh rice noodles. But the service is fast unlike Tèn Ten (super understaffed), like you go to the restroom and when you get out the food is already there. The portion is smaller than Nha Trang One. All in all, I’d go for the latter for Pho, of the same price and unauthenticity.
This Vietnamese restaurant has a pretty comprehensive menu with medium to high prices serving up pho with beef, pork or chicken. A variety of drinks and appetizers to tackle those taste buds. I use to visit this establishment in the past and the food and service was great but my visit today the waiter took over 10 minutes to take my order, the appetizers didn’t come our first like it usually does and the grilled chicken was greasy and not flavorful. This is a decent spot for a quick meal. Establishment gets three stars because the service wasn’t great and portions of my meal did not meet expectations.

it my first time ordering food here to go it nasty. I have order a pho the meat taste like it rotten and the packaging have meat blood all over it dose not look nice. When I check the menu it have a cash deal but when I pay with cash I did not end with a cash deal not even giving me utensils! Will never come back! after eating I feel sick and wanna vomit!
Lets start how the service was trash, took them 10 mins to notice us and place us on a table when clearly there are other tables open. Second the Food was Mid. Actually Bad the calamari taste like burnt oil and the pho taste expired. Overall Not Worth it. Doesn't taste authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
