Opiniones de The Sea Grill New York
Excellent! Crab cake as an appetizer, bone-in Ribeye with truffle mashed potatoes as a main dish and homemade pecan pie as a dessert. My wife had grilled calamari and branzino with asparagus. Everything was really delicious. Just go and try, you won't regret it. It is expensive, but it's worth it.
This place was excellent for our anniversary. We had their restaurant week prefix menu. For appetizers we had Spanish octopus and burrata. Entrée it was the squid ink spaghetti and sirloin steak it's so soft and delicious, the steak sauce omg to die for its so so good. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and cheesecake. We bought a bottle of their Pinot Noir and we got a complimentary Moscato which was very sweet Thank you all , definitely coming back.
Everything was excellent. They had some of the best oysters Rockefeller I've ever had. The sashimi special was very good. All in all a good experience
The all bartenders are amazing and extremely knowledgeable !! Their wine list is extensive and drinks are great. They are participating in restaurant week for the first time ever I believe. The Bronzino is delicious and the clam pasta ♥️❤️ The main dining room has a fireplace setting which will be great for the winter/intimate dinners. They serve the full menu at their high tops so it’s no big deal if you didn’t book ( although I recommend booking in advance ).
I've been here many times over the years, and it hits every time. Every server is so friendly. Never had a single disappointing meal.
I have been here twice and each visit has been memorable in its own way. Ben at the bar is charming and charismatic. He made me feel like he was an old friend to chat with while we waited for my date. After Ben approved my date, he set us up with all the best dishes and drinks. Wonderful conversation commence and we were on cloud nine. My second visit I ditched the date and brought my mother and brother. Ben again turned it on and took care of my family from top to bottom. We had amazing food, wine, martinis and desserts coming out of our ears!!! He is a master of his craft and I will always come back to see Ben at the bar. See you soon!!!
I came here for NYC restaurant week and what a find! I'm weary of restaurants near big tourist areas - this one's close to Grand Central - but this was great! The quality and quantity was perfect even during restaurant week. I started with the burrata which was deliciously light, airy and refreshing. The accompanied crushed tomato and pureed basil sauce added the needed flavor to a light cheese. The NY strip was a perfectly cooked medium rare. The tiramisu dessert was a nice and subtle ending to a nice dinner. Definitely will come back!
Delicious!!! Thanks for restaurant week, we had not known this restaurant. I had grilled squid for start. It had smoky aroma and was very tender, not chewy at all. I had to use bread to finish the sauce that tasted of paprika in olive oil. The main dish was roast Mediterranean branzino, very tender. I wish the fish skin would be crispy… I couldn't believe also had dessert with coffee/tea included. The tiramisu was delicious. The main dish that my husband had was squid inked pasta w/lobster. It had fair mount of tender lobster. The cheese cake was good too, as was his coffee… It was worth the money!!!
Recently ordered delivery and I remembered why I love this place so much. All of the food is fantastic! This time I got the salmon and truffle potatoes. They gave me breadsticks as requested. The food was so fresh. Dining inside at the bar is even better. One of the best experiences in the city! It’s def a neighborhood favorite and worth the prices.
The food was delicious and the service was great. We had the lobster bisque, squid ink pasta with lobster, and the surf and turf. Jaime was our waiter and he was extremely friendly and helpful. He was able to give suggestions based on what we asked, and even split our meal into different plates when we mentioned we were sharing meals. He also was able to recommend some spots to visit since we are from out of town. Hope to be back soon!
Amazing food and service. First I want to say thank you to Manoel C. for the excellent service. He was attentive, provided the best suggestions that were spot on. He made the dinner experience special for my wife and myself. Then there was the food. The flavors were well balanced and delicate. The portions were perfect and when we were done eating we were satisfied and left feeling like we had an amazing meal and were were special guests at The Sea Fire Grill. Highly recommend the restaurant and will visit the next time we are in NYC.
Wow the service here was impeccable. We had an early dinner here on our recent anniversary trip to NYC from Texas. My husband ordered the ribeye and I ordered the salmon, we shared a side of herb fries. The steak came out perfectly cooked and still sizzling on the plate. Our waiter served my husband a few pieces and drizzled over the hot fat 🤤. The salmon was beautifully cooked. The skin was so crispy and crunchy while the inside was legit the perfect ‘medium’. It came with a side of black rice which was cooked to perfection as well. I’ve had black rice in the past and it was a little too undercooked. This black rice was so moist and tender with great flavor. The sneaky star of the table were the herb fries. Idk how they do it but they were so crispy but not in a way we’ve had before. The crunch on the outside was so thin and the inside so fluffy. The flavor was spot on. So much so we ordered another round of fries before leaving lol! The atmosphere here is cozy and low lit. The candles on each table and around the main dining area provide a nice, almost intimate, setting. Great spot for a fine dining meal.
Went there for a business dinner with my big client from Japan. We were 2 Asian ladies, and stuff obviously didn't think we'd order a bottle of wine 😅, so we received regular menu + wine list by glass. But wine sommelier was helpful after we called him. Appetizers (Octopus and burrata) were both delicious, main (pasta and steak) were well done. The presentation was beautiful, too. I'd definitely come back for other occasions.
Every time I eat here, I have the same positive experience. The service level exceeds industry standards. Fresh food daily. The staff remembers your name. Their plates provide just enough food. Incredible cooking, efficient attention, and noticeably friendly personnel!
This is my go to for business dinners. Close the Grand Central. Menu is amazing. Lots of great seafood options. I also love having a drink and oysters at the bar. Bartenders are great and they have a happy hour special on oysters. Yum! Be sure and introduce yourself to Timmy in photo or Ben! Incredible bartenders!
Let’s get to the punchline, quick! This place is FANTASTIC! “Ben”, the bartender may be the world’s greatest. It’s been a few years, but I walk in and he shouts hello to my name - that’s amazing. Food: Awesome - Wedge, traditional w big checks of bacon, shrimp cocktail - ginormous delicious shrimp (ok, could use some fresh horseradish). Swordfish - OMG good!!! The “broccoli-cauliflower” - how can it be so simple and good - like ridiculous. Finally cheesecake - NYC for sure and not too sweet. It’s the real deal!!! Can I get an AMEN!!!
What you'll tell friends about is how well they treated you. The food was cooked to proper doneness. Super friendly, helpful, descriptive. The interior creates a mood. The setting was unique, the meals were tasty and my experience was enjoyable.
Fabulous dinner - we are foodies and this was one of the best meals we have ever had. The Artic Char was simply amazing. Husband had the bone-in ribeye and son had the swordfish. Every meal was perfect. Ended with cheesecake and the most delightful panna cotta. If I could give 10 stars I would!
Went to celebrate a birthday during restaurant week. Everything was delicious from the octopus salad, steak and mashed potatoes; good portions. It was busy so the service was slow but everyone was pleasant. I definitely will be returning
The food was fantastic!!! We got a group of 6 visiting the restaurant and all of us were so satisfied with the food here. I had lobster bisque as my appetizer and I looked it up immediately after my first slip of the soup just to check if the restaurant offer it for to go. I then had the bone in NY strip for entrée. It tasted really good and I like the grilling-flavor it contains. The size of the dishes was not small so I was almost full by the middle of the entrée. I packed half of the steak home and it still tasted good 2 days later. Really impressed by the quality of the food here. It’s a bit dark in the restaurant so the food may not look attractive in my photos but you won’t regret dining there!
We had such a great experience last night at Sea Fire Grill. The wine list was excellent, food outstanding and the service even better. Perfect dinner after a long day enjoying all that is beautiful at Christmas in NYC. Highly recommend.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Sat near the fireplace, which was cozy. Had the salmon and black rice, which were done to perfection. The wedge salad was also very good. We had to dress a bit warm with thicker clothing since we were going directly to a carriage ride on a 30-degree night after dinner, but we were made to feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Sea Fire Grill delivers authentic flavors. The inside of this place looks better than I expected. The serving size and cost balance well. All servers were incredibly nice, never letting our glasses empty and frequently checking on our needs. Sea Fire Grill stays among my preferred eating establishments.
This is an amazing restaurant. My mom and I went for Restaurant Week. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was wonderful. The bread and cracker basket comes with a dish that has three spreads to choose from, butter, olive oil and an anchovy spread. Mom had the Grilled Calamari and I had the Burrata, as appetizers. It was 😋. We both had the Branzino with Caper Sauce and some Microgreens. The fish was fresh and very tasty. For dessert mom had NY Cheesecake and I had a Raspberry Sorbet. Great ending to an amazing meal. The service is immaculate. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's pricey but well worth it. If you go during Restaurant Week, it's an amazing deal.
SERVICE AS IT’S BEST! The food here was VERY, VERY, GOOD! But THE SERVICE WAS GREAT! The professionalism and attentiveness of the entire waiting staff was incredible. This is fine dining at its best. The food was flavorful, as well as, plated gorgeously. The price is high and to be expected in a fine dining establishment. They start you with complimentary bread and sparkling water. We actually over ordered. Every “side” we had was shareable and if you don’t have a big appetite you can possibly share an entree too so don’t let the pricing intimidate you. We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing! This was probably the BEST SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED!
We recently hosted an Ortus Club executive roundtable luncheon at Seafire Grill in New York City, and it was an exceptional experience! The venue offered a refined yet inviting ambiance, setting the stage for insightful discussions and valuable networking. The service was top-notch—attentive, professional, and seamless. And, of course, the food was the true highlight. From the perfectly prepared seafood to the beautifully presented dishes, every bite was a delight.
Highly recommend, probably my favorite restaurant in the midtown. Came for restaurant week and everything was perfect, the service, all the dishes, the fireplace, coziness, room temperature… no complaints. For appetizers we ordered the soft octopus and burrata (never had such a creamy burrata). Main we got ny strip and branzino with some cream spinach and mashed truffle potato, both were perfect with both mains I couldn’t get enough of everything. Dessert topped off everything with tiramisu and cheesecake. I’m definitely coming back!
Beautiful restaurant and food. The service is some of the best we received at any restaurant in the city. We were in for restaurant week and the menu was fantastic. The grilled octopus was my personal favorite though the squid ink pasta + filet were both done to absolute perfection. They even included a Happy Birthday placard and candles for my wife on her special day. 10/10 can't wait to go back!
Really good seafood and one of the best sorbets I have ever had at a sweet lunch deal for $45 prix fixe 3 course meal. Ample seating (reservations recommended not necessary), good selection of non-seafood as well, nice ambience. Our favorites were the branzino with caper sauce (paired wonderfully), the mango sorbet (tasted like fresh mangoes) and the salmon with wild rice and mustard sauce (perfectly done salmon).
I just went there for restaurant week and wow. Food choices were great, and the service was even better. The atmosphere is modern but is still warm and cozy. Staff is so polite and friendly and on point. I'm definitely going to return to this restaurant even though I'm not a fan of going to Manhattan.
The restaurant week menu offered great options. We ordered the Spanish Octopus for our appetizers. NY Strip steaks with mashed potatoes & creamed spinach for the entrees. Tiramisu & NY Cheesecake for desserts. The steaks were served sizzling & cooked perfectly (medium rare). Their wine list by the bottle & glass is extensive. Service was great despite looking fully booked. We were not disappointed by anything. Can't wait to go back.
One of the best meals I have had, our server Enis was great. Very high quality fine dinning. I wish we lived closer, we would be here weekly. A must try restaurant when in NYC.
Let me just say this is by far the best place we have ever been. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there on Saturday March 11th, 2023. It's really a hidden gem on the east side of midtown Manhattan. The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. Our waiter Dennis, was just fabulous and amazing in his service, recommendations and professionalism. He was truly the best. My wife order the Lobster Salad for an appetizer she said it was delicious with sparkling seltzer water. I ordered the beet salad with a Virginia daiquiri which was amazing. For the main course, my wife ordered the Surf & Turf which looked and tasted really good. I ordered the Tomahawk Steak well done with cream of spinach and Fingerlings Potatoes which I will say the food was on a scale of 1 - 10 a 1,000. For dessert my wife had the Pecan Pie with vanilla ice cream and I have the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The price is well worth it and we will be going back very soon. Again thank you to our waiter Dennis for the excellent service and the owner for making our 25th wedding anniversary dinner special.
Amazing restaurant!! The quality is unmatched. Whether you order on Uber eats or dine in, it is BY FAR THE BEST IN NYC! They even accommodate allergy requests via uber eats. Magnificent TEN STARS!!
This is an amazing restaurant. Service here is awesome and their food is amazing. We enjoyed a full 2 course meal with drinks. Mashed potatoes with asparagus as sides were delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection and our fish dishes of halibut, snapper, and swordfish were all on point along with their sides. Excellent evening.
I've eaten there a few times and the food was constantly good. I was there this time for the happy hour. They served east coast blue point oysters, which were better quality than I expected. The glass of champagne was nice, too. The service is good. They greeted me very warmly upon me sitting down at the bar, which made me felt welcomed.
**pictures do not reflect how beautiful the food was plated or the true ambiance.** I dined here alone for my birthday! My server was just so lovely and attentive and he even sang me a super sweet birthday song. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I ordered 4 oysters, 2 shrimp, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 cocktail, and 1 side. My bill was just over $200 so for the ambiance, the quality, and portions I was very satisfied! If I'm in nyc again I wouldn't hesitate to come back!!
They strive for perfection. Very good staff. Attentive and knowledgeable about the menu 2nd best crab cake I’ve ever had. All meat no fillers. Just seasoning. Very good presentation also. We both had the crab stuffed lobster. One broiled and one steamed. Both done to perfection. They are a bit stingy on the alcohol in the mix drinks but it wasn’t bad. The manager was very attentive. Then again so was the rest of the staff Definitely going back
Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday—they definitely made it special! Reservations are highly recommended and they accept many kinds of requests. I requested a certain table, certain way to present me with the check, what birthday dessert I wished to be brought out for her & all were granted. Our server Nick was outstanding (give him a raise)! He was very knowledgeable on the menu, extremely polite and attentive. We ordered the broiled 2LB lobster & Surf and Turf w/ truffle mash and Brussels sprouts... all were stupendous. For two to enjoy an average dinner and drinks here, expect to spend over $300+; you get what you pay for. We’re def coming back!
Food here is great. Hands down great. Wife and I come here for special occasions, a tad pricey but worth it. Even the spreads for the bread are great. The salmon ceviche is awesome. The swordfish steak is awesome. And the swordfish club sandwich is a great deal at 18. Fills you up and is super tasty.
Sea Fire is our absolute favorite Seafood restaurant in NYC! The dining space is very elegant, the service is impeccable, but what really separates it from other restaurants is the food! On this trip we had several appetizers including the octopus, tuna tartare, and scallops. For dinner I had the Dover Sole. Everything was simply devine! I simply can't recommend this place highly enough! If you get the chance, go!
I went to the Sea Fire Grill with a large group of friends to try their food from the restaurant week menu. As we arrived, we got promptly seated and presented with the wine list, regular dinner menu as well as the restaurant week menu. Their wine list is pretty extensive and there are plenty of wine in various price categories to choose from. Apparently, the restaurant week menu also lists special restaurant week wines so I suggest you check both lists before placing your wine orders. The food we ordered was delicious (I ate mine, but also sampled what my friends had). The octopus for the appetizer was very tender, and was just a joy to eat. For the main course I ordered branzino, and it was served whole but deboned (if I'm not mistaken, the bones were removed before the fish got cooked). This attention to details says a lot about the chef. Our server was very polite and attentive, and together with the great food it made that evening a very pleasant experience. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant as the food and service are top notch.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. Party of 7 for my birthday. Nick our server was EXCELLENT. He truly made our night so special. However, they use a team approach so you are never left needing or wanting anything. 5 star service. My son ordered the squid ink pasta with lobster. He never makes a fuss over food but he said it was the best lobster he ever had. High praise from him. I had the Dover Sole which was a bucket list item for me, deboned expertly at the table. The fish was so good and I didn’t have even one bone. My sister had the scallops. She said it was the best she had ever had and she know seafood as we grew up in Florida and she now lives in Hotlanta which is a food Mecca of its own. My husband and daughter had the Halibut with lemon cream gnocchi. They raved about it. My brother-in-law had the Salmon and loved it. We had one special request for no bones in the chicken dish. They actually deboned the chicken. Amazing!!!! Here is a tip… when ordering side dishes, please know they serve 2-3 people. We ordered 2 carrot plates, Brussels sprouts, lobster Mac-n-cheese, fingerling potatoes, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes with truffles. All were Very good but the standouts were the carrots and Brussels sprouts. I almost forgot, my sister also had a salad. I’m not Sure which salad she ordered but it must’ve been delicious because she ate the whole thing and it was huge. Lucky us she was so stuffed she couldn’t eat all of her scallops so we all got to taste some of them. She was right, they were excellent. Because our party was a bit on the large side we were in one of the side rooms. It was a very nice room and there were a couple of other large parties also. But it was never too loud for us to be able to hear each other as we were talking and having fun together which was very nice. New York City restaurants are often so loud it kind of puts a damper on the evening. The main part of the restaurant has a lot of ambience and is definitely set up for smaller tables so if I had any criticism at all I guess it would be that there wasn’t as much ambience in the side rooms but after that meal, who cares. As you can tell I can’t say enough good things about this place. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. It is expensive but the food is a 10, the location is a 10 and the service is a 10. It was worth every penny. Make a reservation today!
Got caught up in conversation so forgot to take pics of each individual dish separately - had the broccoli rabe, crab cake, octopus, mushrooms, pasta dish with crab meat and everything was cooked, plated, served and tasted to perfection. Elegant atmosphere and top notch service completed the beautiful experience.
We were so glad that we chose to return to the Seafire Grill! The seafood was fresh and beautifully prepared. Scallops appetizer and today's special, red snapper, were both excellent! The scallops may be the very best I have had anywhere. The sauce was a perfect complement. The service was as attentive as we desired. They know how to do seafood. The Sea Fire Grill is in my top five restaurants in the world. ‐----‐--‐-----‐---------------------------‐-------------‐-------- 2025 Update on another visit: if it was possible to improve on our impression of The Seafire Grill, they managed that tonight. This was our 3rd visit. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Every dish we had was well prepared and delicious. To start, they make a good Manhattan. Highly recommend the Mesclun Salad and grilled calamari appetizer. Today's special was a great preparation of Sea Bass with a red wine reduction. My wife enjoyed the halibut served with gnocchi and Fava beans. Side of creamed spinach. Topped off the meal with a pecan pie served with ice cream and some nice hot coffee. We were not disappointed with any part of the meal. The Seafire Grill will remain on our "must visit" list whenever we are in NYC.
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience my spouse & I had at your establishment recently. While we were immediately impressed by the pleasant atmosphere of your restaurant, the highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the outstanding service provided by one of your bartenders. This individual was incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that our dishes and drinks were perfectly prepared and served. His dedication truly elevated our dinner experience. We were very impressed and wanted to make sure his excellent service was recognized. We look forward to visiting you again.
I went here during restaurant week. They had a three course meal for $45. It wasn't crowded but it filled up slowly. They seated us right away. We ordered bib salad, octopus, calamari, squid ink pasta, salmon, branzino, steak, tiramisu, mango sherbet and cheesecake. Everything was cooked perfectly and they were nice size portions. You know it's good when four people eating a three course meal cleaned their plates. Not a grain of rice was left. Definitely going back.
Dining at Sea Fire Grill this past weekend was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, the staff attentive, and the ambiance was perfect for a cozy evening. Highly recommended! Jamie made our experience amazing. We'll be back and telling everyone!
During a second visit, the Sea Fire Grill, situated in a prime location, once again promises an exceptional dining experience. Before taking your seat, a visit to the bar is a must. Their drinks, especially the Avalon Invicta, are top-notch. Enjoying colossal shrimp with traditional cocktail sauce is a delightful treat at the bar. Timmy, the bartender, is the best—he makes you feel at home with his courteous demeanor and extensive knowledge of various drinks. Once seated, the main course options truly shine. The squid ink pasta featuring fresh Maine lobster stands out for its delightful flavors. Equally impressive is the salmon served with black rice, complemented by Brussels sprouts with sweet and spicy Marcona almonds. For dessert, the cheesecake with blueberries offers a perfect conclusion to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend the Sea Fire Grill. The elegant decor and impeccable service further elevate the dining experience. I'll definitely be returning for another delightful meal.
Ignoring the scaffolding outside, Sea Fire Grill is an excellent seafood restaurant with great service and delicious food. The Lunch Prix-Fixe menu at US$45 is excellent value for money for a fine dining restaurant in mid-town Manhattan. The restaurant is less than a 10-minute walk from Grand Central Station. We had the butternut squash soup and grilled calamari for starters, the roasted Mediterranean branzino, and squid ink spaghetti with fresh Maine lobster for our mains. Dessert was tiramisu and NY cheese cake. The food was amazing, and the NY cheesecake is some of the best we have eaten in Manhattan. There is also an extensive wine list. After lunch, Central Park is a mere 15 minutes walk away if you need to walk off the calories. Reservations are strongly recommended.
If you're looking for a fining dining restaurant that's in the heart of NYC, look no further. Food quality and presentation was spectacular while the ambiance and mood was warm and cozy. It also helped that our party was seated near the fireplace. Our server Jaime was very friendly and he did an amazing job to make sure everything was perfect!
Food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. My partner and I had a great time here and we will surely be back!
Sea Fire Grill on on E48 th St, near 3rd Ave. NYC. Clean and quiet contemporary American seafood restaurant with gas fireplace in the rear. We came on a Saturday night. Clients mostly couples and families.I had split pea soup, halibut, French fries & apple strudel. All quite nice. My wife had a glass of (French) Pinot Noir, mesclun salad, duck, Tiramisu. Duck was ok but just ok. The others pretty good. On this chilly March evening the fireplace added warmth to the atmosphere.
The food was AMAZING! The service was even MORE AMAZING! Jaime was our waiter, and while we didn't think anything about the place or the food could be made better, the experience of having Jaime serve us - his attention to detail and intention to ensure we were happy and satisfied with everything one expects to have when they dine-out - pushed our desire to give a 6 STAR review for service - but the most you can give is a 5 STAR review.................so we are forced to make note of his STELLAR service in the text portion of our review! We would recommend Sea Fire to anyone/everyone seeking to have an outstanding restaurant experience and also strongly suggest they request Jaime as their server! GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL of us who wined and dined here! We will be back again, and again, and again!
This place was amazing!. No B/S, No Gimmicks just Fresh, Top Quality Product cooked to perfection. We ate at the bar because we didn’t have reservations Benny our Bartender was outstanding. We had the Tomahawk Steak and Bronzino both just perfect.
We had an absolutely excellent experience at The Seafire Grill. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. For appetizers, we ordered the hamachi sashimi, tuna tartare, octopus, and grilled shrimp — every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The ambience was very nice, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. There was no wait time, and the service was truly top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. For our main courses, we had the filet mignon and the ribeye, both cooked to absolute perfection. We also ordered the truffle fries and lobster mac and cheese, which were both excellent and complemented the steaks perfectly. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and great atmosphere! My friend and I had the NYC Restaurant week deal and it did not disappoint. Service was great and everyone had a smile on their face. Special shout out to our server, Enis!
I was looking for a good seafood place and found this on Google Maps. We got there a little early, but after getting into some good conversation, I looked up and the place was packed! It was a full power lunch scene, with celebrations and deals getting done over meals. I asked the manager, Alex, if it was always like this and he confirmed. I will be going back in the next few weeks for another great experience. Food and service were A+! I would definitely recommend this place!
We held our annual holiday dinner at this amazing establishment Our server Jaime was absolutely amazing and made our experience go from a 10 to a 1000. His service, sense of humor and all around attitude was 2nd only to his kind the way he treated us all like family. His kind demeanor was everything that was needed for our special evening. 4 Million and you're coming on vacation with us, so get ready. :) The steaks were all amazing, melted like butter. The apps and sides were fantastic. Jaime's wine suggestion was top notch and the deserts were amazingly delicious. We were all very happy with our evening and will define back.
We went here for my birthday dinner last night, and everything was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the salmon, and my boyfriend had the steak. For sides, we chose the lobster mac and cheese and the creamed spinach, both were incredible. We started with oysters as an appetizer, and every dish was a solid 10 out of 10. They surprised us with a slice of cheesecake for dessert, and it was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had and I’m not even a big cheesecake person. The waitstaff and team were all super friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
What an absolutely wonderful experience! The view was amazing and the food divine. We had the giant prawn appetizer special, which should be offered everyday (it was that good). And while we did not have steak (and thoroughly enjoyed what we had), the sizzle heard throughout the restaurant was like music to the ears. And shout out to Enis, our server, who was extremely attentive. We will return!
Sea Fire Grill offered an extraordinary seafood dining experience that left a lasting impression. We began our meal with a rich and creamy lobster bisque, which was perfectly seasoned and had a smooth texture that was incredibly satisfying. Following this, we indulged in succulent grilled prawns that were marinated to perfection, resulting in a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The creamed spinach that accompanied our dishes was velvety smooth and complemented the other flavors beautifully. For the main course, we chose the tomahawk steak, which was cooked to our exact specifications, resulting in a tender and juicy piece of meat that was a true culinary delight. To top off our meal, we savored the crab-stuffed lobster, a dish that was both visually appealing and bursting with the fresh, sweet taste of crab meat. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Sea Fire Grill was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive, always ensuring that our glasses were refilled and that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Their kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and valued as guests. The restaurant itself provided the perfect setting for a weeknight dinner, offering a balance between a cozy and casual atmosphere and a formal dining experience. The beautiful instrumental music playing softly in the background, combined with the dim lighting, created an ambiance that was both intimate and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a memorable evening.
This was a ladies lunch for us to catch up as we hadn't seen each other in awhile. It was our first time going to Sea Fire Grill. I was impressed by the decor. The noise level was perfect. We could hear each other speak and didn't have to struggle. The staff is professional and so nice. We all did the Prix Fixe menu and the options all sounded delicious, making it hard to decide. I had the mesclun salad, the Scottish Salmon and tiramisu. As you will see by my photos, the portions are perfect. The salad was delicious, I love the watermelon radish and asparagus. The salmon was cooked to perfection and I loved the black rice. Our waiter highly recommended the tiramisu and he was so right, it was the best I have had. I will be going back to try other items on the menu. I highly recommend Sea Fire Grill
If you’re searching for an unforgettable seafood and steakhouse experience in Midtown East, look no further than Sea Fire Grill. From the moment you step inside, the warm, cozy ambiance welcomes you in, with a roaring fireplace that sets the perfect tone for an elegant yet inviting meal. The menu is a masterclass in indulgence, where every dish impresses. The tuna tartare was a standout—so fresh, so perfectly balanced, that I could eat it every day and never tire of it. The scallops were divine, cooked to perfection with a delicate sear, while the ribeye steak was an absolute showstopper—juicy, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let’s not forget the balsamic Brussels sprouts, possibly the best I’ve ever had. Pair all of this with exquisite drinks, and you have a meal that leaves a lasting impression. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly attentive, their recommendations were flawless, and we were treated like royalty from start to finish. Sea Fire Grill is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-tier seafood and steak in a refined yet comfortable setting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to an extraordinary meal, this restaurant delivers on every level. Highly recommended!
My fiancée and I were in the area and were looking for a great restaurant in NYC. Decided to call to make sure we could get last minute reservations for the two of us. The staff was very friendly and we were lucky enough to be able to get a table despite it being restaurant week (we had no idea!). The atmosphere was elite, and the food was exquisite! Our server Dennis made great recommendations and he (along with the entire wait staff) went above and beyond to make sure our experience was phenomenal! The food was so good that I’m already looking forward to coming back the next time we are in the NYC area. FYI there is no valet parking but there is a garage directly across the street from the restaurant for easy and safe parking!

Bar service is amazing. Dinner for 5, with drinks, caviar, and seafood started well. Server totally bailed once bigger tables arrived. Service ended up awful.
White table cloth, white glove service. Perhaps slower during lunch, busboys kept coming by asking if we were done. Granted we were chatting more than eating. Amazing dishes. Quick lunch. Only had soup and salad. The lobster salad (not pictured) was sumptuous and refreshing. The beet salad had depth - layers of freshness. The mushroom soup was perfect - intense mushroom flavor balance off with a dash of cream.

Service was amazing. Very clean. Staff works hard to ensure customer service. Food was very good. Will definitely come back.
Good for a business lunch. Our pre fixe meal was served quickly and was good. Decor is nice if a little austere. Lunch atmosphere was moderately quiet. Overall a good experience.

Waited 4 days to review. Short version - there are lots of better options in the area. Long version - went on a Monday night. Not busy at all. Seated promptly. Greeted promptly. Got the surf and turf. Ordered "rare or medium rare, up to you" as I always do. Steak came well done. It happens. No major issue here. Even at fine dining. It happens. Here where it gets bad. Establishment didn't seem to care. I can count on one hand how many times I've even questioned food in my life. And I'm not young. I've maybe sent a steak back twice in my life that I can recall. Possibly just this one time, if I were betting on my life, I'd say this one time. I was offered a "glass of wine" for the trouble. It was Monday. Not drinking. Didn't order drinks so I'm not sure why that was an offer. But this is why they get 3 stars not 2. That was at least an effort. Sorta. The corrected steak took at least 25 minutes to come to the table. And it was just ok. Nothing special. Very gritty for the price. And I'm not afraid of a high tag for quality meat. It gets worse. I was ignored after the corrected steak came. I had to physically get up and ask for my check. Yes. I still tipped 35% for no reason. I will NEVER request a comp or something to be removed from my bill. That's just not me. But i definitely didn't get any adjustment to my tab (which is fine, i did get what I ordered and expect to pay for what I requested). Overall just every disappointing experience. Not even mad at the burnt steak. It happens. But the service was bad at best. There are 1,000s of options for a $200 per person dinner in nyc. This won't be one I'll visit again. And I honestly HATE to leave even ok reviews. More of a just don't go there again kind of guy. But this wasn't a good experience.
I want to say I enjoyed but there were some major concerns… My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and the ambiance was definitely a vibe. The atmosphere of customers was very eclectic and motley which I truly enjoyed and it made me feel at home. However, the staff’s hospitality may not always reflect the understanding of the diverse cultures and the customers they serve. Next, the food was good! Not overly seasoned, & seemed fresh. I feel as though the pasta was a little salty, but the drinks were amazing! We sat near the bar in a small corner, which was intimate for us. When we sat there were no concerns, however, upon leaving I noticed a LARGE ROACH in the corner. I was appalled! The environment is dim but it was not there before we sat, which is scary to think it could have dropped behind me while eating… or worse! I notified the managerial staff and he said it was a “water bug” from “construction”, sad to say there was no construction happening nor was this a water bug.. All this to say, it was a good experience but I am definitely on the fence about going back! Take a look for yourself, & you decide if it was a water bug or cockroach. (keep in mind, water bugs antennas are short & stout)
My husband and I decided to try Sea Fire Grill based on a recommendation from a friend. We made a reservation for 5 PM via OpenTable before heading to a Broadway show at 7 PM. When we arrived, there were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't too busy. The hostess seated us at a table directly in front of the fireplace, which was perfect until they started seating other parties uncomfortably close to us. This was odd, considering there were plenty of other available tables. The proximity of the two parties made our dining experience less enjoyable due to the loud conversations surrounding us. Despite our efforts to tune them out, it was challenging. Initially, the service was good, but it declined as the night went on, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. We started with a special appetizer: a large grilled prawn. While it was good, it lacked flavor and seasoning. For cocktails, we ordered an Old Fashioned and an Espresso Martini, both of which were pretty good. For our entrees, we decided to split the surf and turf, along with Brussels sprouts and lobster mac and cheese as sides. We requested our steak to be cooked medium; however, some parts were medium while others were medium-well. The seafood that accompanied the steak was flavorless, tasting as though it had only been blanched in water. On a positive note, the sides were quite tasty, with the Brussels sprouts being our favorite. Overall, our experience was a bit lackluster.
This was our third time visiting. The atmosphere is great but the food is overpriced and bland. When we went years ago, the food was better. I do remember liking he atmosphere better than the food. This visit I had to send back the tuna; the bok choy was boring and flavorless. It was an easy dish to make well. Mgmt was great and highly professional about returning it, but my server seemed politely annoyed. The salmon was better but the black rice was a little hard. The lobster and prawn were okay but bland as well. I have had fresher seafood at other places in the city. The drinks are delicious. For the high prices, the food should be better. Maybe it used to be better flavors but I won’t be returning.
We went to have a nice enjoyable dinner at The Seafire grill . The name itself was already very inviting especially if you like a seafood. It was a Holliday evening and we expected to have a great time with the delicious food. We met a relaxing atmosphere, classic interior with white tablecloth, candles and nice tableware, welcoming space with the dimmed lights. The menu printing was hard to read but staff was very welcoming and gave us some guidelines. I highly appreciate that the music was not loud and we could have a pleasant conversation. The basket of warm bread with butter, olive oil and spread was served as complement from the beginning. The order included two appetisers: Jumbo Lamp crab cake and Spanish octopus. Spanish octopus was the star dish, very well seasoned and balanced with vegetables and the most tender and juicy meat. We enjoyed it very much. I cannot say l like a crab cake. It was very dense, hard with few sauces which were plain and didn’t complement the dish in any way. The pillow of sliced celery root under cake was dry and tough to chew. Not really enjoyable combination. For a main course we chose a classic: a piece of fish and a piece of beef, and it was a disappointment. The piece of beef that we got cannot be served as bone in ribeye for $90. It felt as several times defrosted meat with the texture of paper. Just look at the picture. The side you should order separately. And we did. Fries. No words. The other entree was fish of the day: fresh catches: filet of Striped bass served on sauced Brussels sprouts. Taste of cabbage was extensive sour, overwhelming with balsamic vinegar and the fish was dry, unflavoured and the it had a greyish color. I know my review sounds harsh. Maybe it was that restaurant’s bad day, not great products delivery, anything? But over $300 check for two with such quality is unacceptable. The restaurant was almost empty with just few tables occupied. I give 3 stars for just a such a nice place, great location, carrying personal and future positive perspectives.

Ordered halibut and it was very dry. Got salmon as replacement which was better but still dry. Even Calamari was dry. Waiter and service staff was very good.
Came here for my birthday dinner with high hopes despite some of the mixed reviews. Ordered the Oysters, Salad, NY strip, the lamb, the lobster mac and cheese and three drinks. The oyster and salad were the highlight of the meal to be honest. The lobster mac had everything but lobster, my steak despite asking for it to be cooked medium well was cooked rare then brought back to the kitchen put under the salamander and brought back still under cooked and charred black. I asked the waiter to just take it back and a manager did come back and offer to remake it but my friend had already finished eating. For a seafood/steakhouse brand group would expect a $76 dollar steak to be cooked correctly the first time. Not somewhere I see myself returning too.

The service and particularly the front checkin desk offered terrible service on my recent visit. They lied to my face several times as the availability of our table making us wait for over an hour …
If you like waiting 35 minutes for your table, then sure. If you like your waiter rushing you to give him your entire order, rather than drinks/appetizers/entree/dessert, by all means. If you like your plate snatch from the table without asking if you are done, or if you would like the remains boxed up, then this is the establishment for you. No off the menu or special item suggestions. Just a bunch of herded customers. I can’t believe this place is touted as NYC’s best seafood restaurant. Sad. 11/24/2022
