I had been wanting to try the chicken salad at Golden Chick and finally had the opportunity to do so. I went through the drive-thru at this Dallas location. The girl who took my order was very nice and even wanted to make sure I liked my raspberry lemonade before I drove off, as it was my first time trying that as well. The chicken salad sandwich was yummy. It is perfectly filled with pecans and dried cranberries, and I'm not sure what else because I was too busy devouring it to notice. It was on a fresh, sweet bun that tasted like a croissant. The raspberry lemonade was delicious as well. Now I'm wanting to go back to try other items on the menu. Unfortunately, I don't live near this particular location, so I'll have to go to another one. I definitely recommend this Golden Chick.

Went here twice during a work trip just because of how close it was to the hotel. First visit was quick and easy with a super polite drive thru worker. Tried the catfish and although thin still had great flavor. Second visit I tried the spicy tenders and they were great as well as the service once again. The rolls are absolutely incredible as well. Sides are just up to personal preference but the cole slaw was good. The drive thru workers are quick, concise, and polite. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.

The staff at this location is incredible. The young lady who works the drive-thru is amazing. Whenever I need a quick lunch or dinner, I swing by this location, and the consistency is insane. If only every fast-food place had this level of standards for service, quality, and friendliness. I've been here multiple times over the past year, and not once has my order been wrong or have I had a negative experience. 10/10 — the workers at this location deserve every level of praise for their dedication to the business.

We didn't catch the young ladies name and it's been a hot min since we've had golden chick but she was there tonight at the drive thru at about 9:20pm. She was pleasant to interact with and got our large order packed with care. Everything was hot and fresh. We were celebrating my brother's birthday. We were all very satisfied with tonight's feast 😊😊.

Golden Chick delivered a great experience! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and well organized, and the service was quick. If you’re from Texas Golden chick is a staple. Can’t go wrong with the tenders, fried okra or jalapeno poppers. Their rolls are always fresh. I’m a fan. Golden chick has to easily be my favorite fast food chain around.

Chicken strips and fries were delicious. Very good prices and generous portion sizes. The food was consistently good which is something I can’t say about most fast food chains. One of my favorites restaurants to order from when I am in the area and have late night cravings.

Great and easily accessible location on the southbound side of 75. The staff is friendly and helpful, and most importantly, fast. The facilities are impeccably clean. The food, menu, and prices are in keeping with the standards you expect from Golden Chick.

Hands down the best fast food fried catfish... when it's served fresh and hot. The cole slaw is good & the green beans are well seasoned. The yeast rolls are really good when fresh. And can't beat their sweet tea. I recommend this place if you're looking for something quick.

Verg delicious tenders and mashed potato. But drink, who puts full cup of ice... i had large drink but ice was filled up to the top. And hopfully next time, evenly sprinkle hot seasoning. It was not sprinkle all over. That makes taste not good. But mild tender is very delicious.

This is a very well run restaurant. You can tell because some of the employees I recognize and I don’t come here but 4 times a month to get a bag of ice & a lg Pepsi. I’ve tried their chicken tenders several times and they are ok, their FF r good and so is their mashed potatoes. Their side salad is not your typical side salad, I like the fact that they put cherry tomatoes on the salad. I would say an average meal is going to be at least $10.00 and they do offer free ice cream cones but you have to ask for the cones and I’ve never had enough nerve to ask for one yet. I wish they would set them out somewhere but maybe it cuts down on people getting ice cream? At times they are slow and fyi, during COVID, they tended to shut down earlier , most people don’t walk to this location but I did and it was closed at 8 pm when I got there. Grrrr😡

The food was very hot and fresh! I didn't really like the grilled tenders but the rest of the sampler value platter was excellent. Also, the staff was quite friendly. Love the soft serve machine too!!

they’re always incredibly quick w service, there is one woman who i believe could be a manager because she’s there 90% of the time and is always friendly at the window. my only gripe is the lobby closing an hour before close and the drive thru took forever to pick up a mobile order

I have dined at Golden Chick in various locations around the area. I had never dined at this one. They were very busy and apparently understaffed. The chicken was not as good as what I normally get. It tasted like it had been under the light for a long time it was very dry and tasteless. The lady behind the counter was somewhat overwhelmed I do believe she was new. I ordered a leg and a breast and I got a wing and a thigh. Had to redo my order. One thing that is really annoying is the ice cream machine. If it's not working and you're not going to fix it remove it. Don't have it sitting there out of order. That sends the wrong message to customers. What else is wrong in the back where we can't see?

Store has a weird habit of forgetting my gravy for tenders every time I get mashed potatoes sides. Today they gave me no seasoning packets and barely put any on the chicken. Gave me someone else's chicken salad, strangled my rolls, didn't include the ranch I bought or my three cookies. Then tried to send me off without the drink. Usually they're good though. Too bad the online order passes the buck back to the restaurant who didn't answer the phone when I tried to call - as instructed on the receipt. Guess we'll see how it pans out.

I normally am pleased with my experience at golden chick, but this location both tones I've been recently I feel like I got robbed. Let me explain, upon looking at the food( quality and portion) I had to ask myself, self was this worth $20? The answer was NO. The tiniest little 3 pieces of chicken I've ever seen, literally. It wasn't the hot wings to clarify. Also both times I ordered extra rolls and paid for them. Got them neither time. In their favor, they have big red and the gravy, rolls and tenders were pretty up to par.

Food was good however we had to keep getting up to talk to the cashier about our order, she kept telling us to get grilled chicken and we didn't want that but overall food was good but probably won't be coming back to this store.

The staff were great and accommodating to my crazy requests but once the food came out ( fried cod and chicken) both came out soggy and absolutely no taste. If you want good service come here, if you want good food go somewhere else

Now the people who work the night shift are great. Orders are always accurate, cooked well, and they’re kind. The lunch crew needs a new training on customer service and listening skills.

I like their tenders and gravy and mashed potatoes (even tho they are dehydrated). I even got 4 tenders instead of 3. Probably because it was almost closing time. 8:15 pm is not a good time. Also, mid-afternoon not good for hot chicken. Go during high customer times to get freshest chicken. Tenders were not hot, and the funnel cake was dry. However, most any other time, good. Oh, and no plastic utensils in my sack. Luckily, I was taking it home. Also, the Pepsi seem really watered down. They were very polite and friendly.

Ordered the five peace catfish. Even though the order taker asked me twice whether I wanted it to go she still got it wrong when she delivered food. The catfish was oddly cool even though it just supposedly been cooked as I had to wait 7 minutes for it. No tartar sauce was put in the box. For what I got it was probably overpriced.

I ordered wicked wings combo via Uber eats. I messaged them and they can't give me a refund. I called the Golden Chick location twice and no one answered. I am missing mashed potatoes from my meal. All they gave me was gravy and dirty rice, and my receipt states everything on it. I waited 45 mins to have something missing from my meal.

Sorry but this location has made me mad. I ordered the jalapeno poppers and asked for them fresh to enjoy the melted cheese as you should. Not after I get to window and 45 secs later handing me my bag of poppers. Now if anybody close to being like me. You popped the bag open and threw one in ya mouth. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤬🔥🔥. Low and behold just like warm at best. Now after I just said at screen fresh you try to pull a fast one. Remake it I'll pull an wait ty. They were nice but the food was cold. And the two catfish dinner the fish were smaller than a dollar bill. And also cold . For almost twenty dollars for 4 chicken strips and 2 pieces of fish , 2 mashed potatoes I would go there again without a coupon .

Food is usually good but service needs a lot of work. I always check my bag because 50-75% of the time something is wrong. Today I ordered my usual 4-piece tender combo with gravy, mac n cheese, and a drink with no ice. First, I get handed my drink full of ice. Then my bag feels awfully light so I check and there is no gravy and no mac n cheese but instead french fries and 2 rolls instead of 1. Had to go inside to get my gravy and mac n cheese. Not only that, when I get home, I realize that they gave me wings instead of tenders. LITERALLY everything they gave me was wrong today. No other cars in the drive thru when I ordered, so I know they didn’t just mix up the bag with someone else’s order.

Restaurant was clean and staff attentive and friendly however did not expect the roasted chicken to be oozing and sitting in a pool of grease. I think they dropped the roasted chicken into hot oil to warm it up. The fruit salad was straight from the elementary school cafeteria industrial size can. Needless to say the food quality was very poor. I would have been served less grease if I had ordered the fried tenders. Only gets two stars due to the staff. Food gets zero stars.

I only go to this location because it’s convenient but they are really stingy with their food. My boyfriend and I ordered a 4 piece tender w/ fries and only got one sauce for each of us. If we weren’t starving I would’ve waited to go to the location on hwy 78 in Wylie. The are VERY GENEROUS with their food and always get my order right!

Ordered a 25 piece chicken tender family meal. They forgot my rolls and gravy. Also, the macaroni and cheese was just mush and tasted old. The fries taste like they’ve been fried in old oil. Tenders and okra were fine, a little bland but ok.

Corporate needs to pay this location a visit. A simple substitution of one item was a big problem for the cashier. She didn’t really know what she was doing, clearly. Manager who came to help was pretty stand offish as well all because I asked a question about a Togo order. Every time I come here there’s a problem with the order or the staff is rude or both. I don't recommend. The chicken was great, as always BUT the catfish was like jerky. It's basically all batter with the smallest possible layer of fish. All I could taste was some spice that resembled a catfish flavoring.

I spent over $10 for 80% of my order to be unsatisfactory. The best thing of my order was the chicken salad sandwich. I lost a third of it tho because I had to push some of the chicken salad over and tear off the extra bread... The worst of my order was the burnt rolls. I’ve had better food at other locations...

Good location, good food-Breakfast- just wish they would cook it 2 more minutes, but the music is too loud. The speakers are above the customer at the register which makes it harder to give your order or hear what the employee says- especially while wearing a mask. I did not know I was eating at Joe's Crab Shack.. UPDATE- Went back for breakfast, typical drive thru(fast) service. Did not cook my hash browns enough- more like hash whites. Just greasy and uncooked for the most part except for about 5 of them, had to throw them away. Update- I've been to this location several times. First, they did not cook my food long enough, then they finally cooked it longer after a few visits. Once I went by at 630am and there was only 1 employee in the store- could not open until the cook arrived. A few days later, one of the employees told me they were going to stop serving breakfast due to lack of customers. On the last morning I attempted to get breakfast at 630am, nobody was there and lights were off even though all the breakfast signs are still on the windows and menu. So I had to find a new restaurant to get breakfast which was more dependable and opened on time. I have not been back to this location in about 2 weeks.

I asked for my food to be fresh. It was old. Then they gonna give me a small bombers when I was charged for a large. Got more bombers and them was old too. Ima just take my L and not come back here. Food too expensive for y’all to be playing with people food. Fries was cold too and sent them back. The chicken was warm and not fresh. Jalapeño poppers and fries take 2 mins to cook they should not be sitting under no warmer letting cheese get hard and crusty.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. Let me start off by saying how unprofessional these women are. I went in today about 30 min ago and waited inside for a good 15 min before anyone even acknowledged me. My husband has to start whistling and then someone from the back said they heard us out loud not to mention they were speaking in Spanish and little did they know we are Hispanic. They started laughing and pretending to push buttons on the screen and yet not one person in there wanted to take our order. But they were continuously talking among each other in Spanish yet we didn’t say anything but if they were going to attend us and yet they gave us a smirk n continued speaking in Spanish so we decided to walk out and we still heard them laughing as we left. Whoever was in charge is beyond me why they have ppl like that working but I’ll be sure to tell everyone to not go to this location. 0 stars for everything! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL FEEL DISRESPECTED!

LADY AT THE DRIVE THRU WAS EXTREMELY RUDE THEY FORGOT TO ADD A COMBO & SAUCES & SHE MADE US EMPTY OUR SHOPPING BAGS when it was clearly just jeans from the mall she did not believe us and it was her birthday just left 5 minutes ago and camt even trust the food when she was clearly not happy today and gave me a bad feeling about her she is definitely not someone you put your trust in with food and this is coming from a RGM from a fast food here in Dallas.

This is the second Golden Chick I have visited in the last 30 minutes. They don’t pay attention to your order. I ordered 6 spicy tenders combo with a large FRESH okra and large sweet tea and was handed 6 spicy tenders with an old regular size okra instead of a large and a regular size sweet tea instead of a large. Also asked for 4 packs of lotta zing seasoning and got none. Staff needs better training and needs more attention to detail.

Ordered the wings. What they call wings is laughable. I had 2 normal size and the rest were the size of nuggets and those were mostly bread. They also forgot my cookie. Been to other Golden Chick locations and they have normal sized wings. Drove out of my way to gey to this location based on my experiences at other Golden Chick locations and Passed so many other chicken places. Will never return.

Everytime I visit this place the chicken is COLD...I work in the area and it never fails me...I LOVE GOLDEN CHIC but something needs to be done....I try to give them chances but I get fooled! Closed 15 minutes early. Food is always good but every time I come here they get the order wrong and if I do not check before hand, I have to drive back. UPDATE: Came back to give it a chance and 15 minutes before close they said they only had 1 sandwich and were out of tenders? Given my previous experience I suspect they just stopped cooking them and if they are seriously out then I apologize for my assumption. If they did run out, why is inventory an issue at this store but not at the other locations? I am probably just not going to return to this location again, its just gone downhill so much. Love the food when I cam actually get it.

Wow so there is a new chick… and she is very rude. She purposely makes you wait at least 5 mins even if the restaurant is empty and theres no one in drive thru, then she has this obvious smirk when she takes your order. I live close to this location but I would rather go anywhere else.

We ordered through the app and showed up a little early, so we were prepared to wait, but not 10 minutes past the time it was supposed to be done. We watched 5 patrons go up and order and receive their food. Then, when we got home, we had no gravy for the strips or sauce for the shrimp. So with my aching back, I went back there. They gave me the gravy and sauce, and when I mentioned the inconvenience as well as now cold food, the guy spread his arms said sorry and just turned and walked away. I'm seriously disappointed. And I did fill out a comment card on their website the same time I posted this.

Ayo this place is straight TRASH. The service is wack, something is ALWAYS MISSING from my order, they’re shiesty af w their sauces and have horrible drive thru service. I went to this place during my lunch, both drive thru lanes were open but only one side was getting attended. I let the first car slide but naw they straight up ignored me and my huge car. The food is always cold and old anyway, yall can keep those damn chicken tenders and chunky gravy. Had I known this was gonna happen I would’ve gone to Tom Thumb for a hot meal instead. Hadn't had golden in awhile, so I stopped by this place for the first time around lunch time to try out some chicken tenders and catfish. Used the drive thru, and they were pretty slow. Though the food seemed like it was cooked to order, the catfish had a rubbery and chewy texture and almost tasted like it had been microwaved. The chicken tenders were unfortunately pretty below average also, pretty bland and overpriced imo for the what i got/to what i paid ratio and it's pretty bad when Jack in the Box chicken tenders are better tasting than yours. Thumbs way down, up your game guys! Won't be back.

If I could give this place no stars I WOULD. I got the two fish combo and it was not what I wanted. They gave me two very small pieces of fish that wasn’t even a full meal. I got ALL the way home and saw how disappointing this meal was. I called and the manager (I think his name was Chris, short African American man with hair) there said to come back. I came back after telling him I wanted a refund. When I pulled up to the window he said “oh you must’ve not lived that far away.” It was so rude. Where I live shouldn’t be anyone’s business but to fix the problem. I told him I had to take it home to my MAN and that wasn’t enough food. He was so rude and so was the cook. He said he couldn’t give me a refund and told me the pictures aren’t supposed to match the food. I didn’t even get his name but I just lost my baby and wanted to eat a meal for the first time today and he made me feel horrible. I’m sharing my experience with everyone to NOT go there.

I ordered a family pack and didn't get zing seasoning, napkins, forks, etc. Absolutely nothing! They should automatically give you this stuff because it's part of your purchase. You shouldn't have to ask for it! Especially if you purchase a family pack. Not only that but the sides were in a drinking cup and the top was not even the right size. It spilled all over the bag! Never going back! It only took one bad experience. Also, what is the point of texting your complaint to the number on the receipt!? No one followed-up with me!

Easy order, completely messed up. Phones aren't answered. Ordered regular, got spicy. Ordered Ranch, got none. Ordered sodas, machine broke . Asked for sweet tea, got unsweet. i was charged twice on my bank statement because the cashier LUCIA could not figure out how to use a debit card that doesn't have a chip in it. its not rocket science. if it doesn't have a chip to insert, common sense would say "let me swipe the card on the POS machine instead of inserting it". she originally told me my card is not accepted, i told her "i eat her all the time". she went and got a manager. the manager figured it out after swiping my card 6 times. they realized i was listening to what they were saying and shut the window in my face. but guess what? note i have two golden chick charges on my bank statement because it took three smart people to figure out how to SWIPE a debit card. ill go to a different one because i shouldn't be sitting at a fast food window 10-15 mins for FAST FOOD. pics for proof of purchase.

Pretty disappointing. Not the nicest staff, iced tea was hot, cashier spent a nervously long time with my card when I paid, got all the way home to realize my order was missing an item. All that would have been forgiven if the store actually answered my phone call. The fact that my tenders were warm when I got back home for the second time is the reason this even gets that one star.

First time I’ve ever been here and I gotta be honest it was horrible. It’s just was not good. I’d rather go to canes chicken KFC/ Churches and get something that doesn’t taste like garbage at least it’s not old, old fry oil. This was really bad. And m mad I spent as much as I did. I seen that the lobby don’t open the long until 10am. 2 ladies saw me pull up, I waited outside for 30 minutes because I had to go to the restroom and I also waited passed the time to try and give them time because I also work in the food industry and a lady looks dead at me and proceeded to do her work. All I wanted to do was use the restroom and potentially get food but she put a sign on the door saying drive thru only. She could’ve just said that when they both seen me pull up and wait for 30 minutes if I wanted to use the drive thru I would’ve clearly went through it.

The Employees are nice but the quality has went down. The cup quality has went down. she handed me the cup and said hold from bottom because the top will pop off. My top shouldn’t pop off. Almost spilled this drink everywhere. Also there was a 15 min wait for Fresh Wings. The food should always be served fresh. The quality is definitely going down here and this particular establishment is being cheap with cups. I have never had to hold a cup with 2 hands. very annoying when your cup top keeps poppin off.

This place is a guilty pleasure for me. I have been eating here the last four years. Every single time I have order here, EVERY SINGLE TIME, there is something either missing from the order or is just plane wrong. Today did not fail. I ordered a sweet tea but was given a red drink. I made it home with my to go order only to discover there is no sauce. The fact that this has continued to happen of the course of years speaks volume on the management. Check and double check your order.

Visited this location today and I’m highly disappointed. Chicken was soggy. Also it took me 4-5 minutes to use the drink fountain because the manager decided to have a meeting right in front of it.. He was highly upset at the person and was stating it’s not my fault the economy is bad we charge for everything. He was being rude to the lady. Very unprofessional. That was not the place.

Horrible visit. The fish was cold again and the green beans were cold and looked like they had been sitting in dirty car oil!!

When I tried to get the cashier’s attention after waiting for a few minutes, she scolded me to “wait”… this location always has horrible customer service. The manager in charge did nothing to rectify the situation. I completed the online survey.

I paid $10 for a 2 piece cat fish meal but obviously they forgot the fish because I only received crunchy fish batter. This is the 3rd Golden Chick that I have been to recently and have received fish with nothing on the inside. No actual meat. This is HORRIBLE! Are you all splitting the fish fillets into 2 or what because this is only fish batter at this point. I’ve seen catfish nuggets meatier than this. I will not be patronizing another Golden Chick. I refuse to spend another $10 for this. Obviously something has changed with the portions of fish you all are using and it’s really sad. I’ll fry my fish at home! Just sad. Crunchy greasy fish batter with no actual fish!
