Great place to eat, you definitely get your money's worth. Staff is professional and kind. There is a little wait for food but that's because they cook it fresh and you can taste the love. Top of the charts for me 😁.

We flew into Syracuse, we’re really hungry, and decided to go to Just One Bite. Perfect name for this place! Everything my party of three had was delicious! The eggs Benedict, two different types that we ordered, had an abundant amount of hollandaise sauce. Lori, our server, was very attentive to us and gave us great advice in reference to our order. I wish we could go back before going home.

The food is excellent and you'll never find server's like these 2 amazing women! So kind and attentive! Prices are great and you'll feel as if you shld've paid more for what you get! 2 suggestions are their house made lasagna and their Friday haddock fish fry.. Mmmm

Just One Bite is the best place to have breakfast in the Syracuse, NY area, hands down! We have been coming here as a family for many years. The service, food, atmosphere, prices, etc., have been consistently excellent every time. I just heard they are adding a new restaurant in Lyncourt when we were there today. That's great to hear! It's right by us! Check them out!

Amazing service and food! This is not your average diner...the food was fresh and the portions were huge. My mom and I were both full halfway through the meal, but we both said that we couldn't stop eating because the food was so good! Get some home fries... they're amazing!

The Chef is of excellence. I've only been there recently last time I had a Hamburg with mushroom cheese and onion's with Swiss cheese with fries. Tonight is Thursday and it's Sauerbraten night. The truth is you have to order in advance you see it's a lot of work to make and if you don't show up or you forgot about telling them you want to cancel, the chef is at a loss. Well tonight myself and 2 others ordered the Sauerbraten and it was all of that and more DELICIOUS.

Food is freshly made and served very nicely. Portions large, staff very friendly, food delicious. Due to fact that everything is made fresh it may take a bit longer to receive your order but it is worth the wait !

My dad and I met some friends there. The food is great in taste and the size portions you get. The pancakes are so big you'll more likely than not take some home. It's a place to try for sure

Wonderful little diner with plenty of parking behind the building. Friendly and courteous staff. During my visit there was only one server and the diner was pretty full. She did an amazing job, didn't lose her cool and kept everyone's coffee hot and brought food out in a timely manner. Definitely worth a visit. Menu has plenty of delicious options. I was there for breakfast and ordered a ham and cheese omelette, which was delicious.

This is our favorite place to go for breakfast!! We love the woman who decorates her ponytail. And there is a very sweet blonde that works there too, who we often get as well. We are ALWAYS greeted with beautiful smiles and great food, great atmosphere! Took my sister and brother in law here for their first time last weekend. They loved it!! 10/10 100% recommend!

While this was my first time going here, most of my family eats there with regularity, generally every Sunday morning. The restaurant is cozy, and while this description can also refer to a restaurant being small and cramped, here it's intended to reflect its unusual layout, with two dining areas separated by a small stairway. Their menu could be described as "breakfast comfort food," with portions that most customers should find most satisfying. Whether it is because my family eats there weekly or that the waitstaff have worked in the industry for years, we were treated as if we too were family, like we might imagine our grandmother would during a holiday visit. So, in conclusion, whether you're a couple seeking a welcoming breakfast after church, or a small group seeking good food, attentive waitstaff, and a setting absent of pretense, you should give Just One Bite the opportunity to join their family.

We stopped in @ 9 AM on a Sunday. The establishment was busy, but no wait. They had multiple Specials. We got our coffee and water very quick. It took a little longer to place our order. It was worth the wait when the food came out. The homefries were awesome. I had a great omelette too. The wait staff made sure no one's coffee cup was empty. A great experience overall. We will be back. I would like to check out more of their menu options as well.

Great food, great prices, and great people! This Diner is a family owned business and they are the best at what they do. First, the food is really great! The servers take your orders and the food always comes out piping hot! The service is great and what makes this place a gem! When you enter you are always greeted with a warm smile and made to feel right at home. The food is akin to comfort food your grandmother would make! I try to make it here at LEAST two times per month! If you are ever in they Syracuse area, this is the place to eat!

We went on a Sunday close to closing, so there weren't many people there. The place was nice, and the food was great! Nice portion sizes, and nothing was lacking in flavor. For living very close to this place, it took us far to long to finally go, and now that we have, we will definitely be going back! There is so much on the menu that I want to try!

I was visiting family back home in North Syracuse and was so happy to find this gem of a restaurant. Laurie was our server the first time we went and she was wonderful! Our server the 2nd time was lovely as well but didn't catch her name. The food here is so affordable and DELICIOUS!!!! If you are considering trying this place JUST DO IT

This place was just delicious, I got the strawberry cheesecake waffles and a plate of hash browns, which was quite a solid portion of food, and absolutely amazing. Not overly sweet, the actual cheesecake part was a drizzle that honestly could have used a touch more in my opinion. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. My partner got the stuffed French toast I believe it was called which he said was great. The staff were polite, left us to our conversation but were attentive whenever we asked for something and food came out in a timely manner. Highly recommend

Food was very good - fresh and cooked perfectly. I had the steak burrito, which was packed with steak and potato. Wife had the waffle with eggs and bacon. We got there just before closing (check their hours, especially on weekdays) but the waitress was very pleasant and assured us it was no problem to serve us. The booth seats were a little worn but they are moving to a new location this week.

Awesome place with amazing staff. Wife and I stopped by for a quick meal to go. I got the Apple Cider pancakes and she got the grilled cheese with fries. The pancakes were like 12" I couldn't even finish one of them! Will be going back to try other menu items soon. Update: 8/3/22 Amazing food as usual. To go order took an hr so plan on that. Can't blame them though, amazing food and restaurant staff shortages. This time I got the Apple Fritter French Toast. It looked and tasted amazing. Please note that you should look at it fresh at pick-up. When I got home the breakfast toppings were half melted and didn't look as amazing (see photos).

It's good. I don't like sitting downstairs and being forced to watch TV. They lowered it but wouldn't turn it off. No one was watching. I'll never understand the TV policy of these places. Why does a customer who potentially wants to watch television take more precedence than a customer who definitely doesn't and is bothered by it. Regardless, I'll be back.

It is by far the best quality food around. Keep in mind that this takes time, so don't come for a quick bite, plan to stay and enjoy your meal. Service is excellent, very friendly. My only problem is the $4.00 upcharge for gluten free bread (which isn't listed on the menu) and that the menu said coffee was included in the specials but it didn't apply to my specific special. (I reread the fine print, and my "coffee included" initial impression was wrong). Breakfast for two was $38 (includes tip) which isn't too bad for a once a year event. Read the menu carefully, the sticker shock at the end kind of ruined our experience. I highly recommend this place, just be prepared if you are on a budget.

The food is good but they should lock the back entrance in Winter. There's no place to stand while waiting to be seated causing the door being left open for extended periods of time and you freeze if seated anywhere near that back door. Kind of a ridiculous setup to an otherwise good establishment.

Stopped in while traveling for breakfast. Met David while here; he was welcoming and we enjoyed his cooking very much. We had veggie omelet and Greek omelets with breakfast potatoes and were very pleased. Would definitely get again.

Extensive menu. Stumbled on this place trying to find a different place to eat. They were mobbed so had to patiently wait but breakfast for dinner is always worth it.

I went with some friends. I ordered bacon, grits, italian toast, and two fried eggs I told the waitress that I didn't want the egg fried hard but that I want it just a little runny. As soon as I sliced the egg yolk was running everywhere on the plate. The waitress put in a new order for me the same thing happened with the second set of eggs I just told her to forget about it. She did discount the eggs since I wasn't satisfied.

Decided to give Just One Bite another try after my last experience. Well they let us through the door this time 🙄. We ordered two breakfast specials that included the soda. My description didn't say it came with home fries but the waitress said it did. I asked if tater tots could be substituted, the waitress said yes. Imagine my surprise when the bill came and I was charged for each item in the special separately (the other special was billed at the advertised price). So I ended up paying more than double for the meal. Didn't stay to discuss because I had to get to work, but I will definitely ask a lot more questions next time. In case your wondering, I made up the difference in the tip.

Almost a 2 hour wait for our reserved table. The food took about an hour to come out and they brought the children's meals out last. They didn't offer anything to hold anyone over during our wait. The waitress was very sweet and brought the kids coloring pages and lollipops.

Food is ok now. Used to be great but now just kind of meh. Someone there spent 5 mins telling my wife why they were too busy to take orders over the phone including telling her the specific web address because the regular link for online ordering didn't work. Then waiting for her to get a pen and paper to write it down. Then explain how she'll get in trouble if she takes another phone order. I'm not mad at the lady she was just doing her job but it def took way longer explaining why she couldn't do it. We ordered online set a pick up time they were 10-15 mins behind. May have been an off day we'll maybe try them again next year and see if it's any better.

Visited for breakfast on a Thursday. Nobody else in restaurant. Food took too long to receive and wasn't good. (Both had upset stomachsafterwards) This was our 4th time there in the new location. They just can't seem to get their act together. With so many other dining options in Syracuse and surrounding area, most likely going to pass on this one in the future.

Edit- Clearly based on the owners reply there's a lot going on with this. Obviously I would have no idea about an unusual bank deal that kept the diner from purchasing. I guess they're suggesting that the bank did little to no upkeep while they were renting and it was the banks responsibility. I also would have no idea about charitable contributions. This gives valuable context but the facts remain....There is a diner that had minimal upkeep, threw bulk trash behind their building, and let the building detorirate (maybe the banks fault). Now there will be no diner and an abandoned building in its place. This is obviously a negative for everyone in the neighborhood that supported the business. With this context some of things are likely not the fault of ownership and the situation just sucks. Sad to see a business leave. I've eaten here a couple of times. It was decent food at a decent price. I bought a house right down the street and have been very disappointed with this places upkeep. They have let the building just detorirate and littered the fence line of their property with garbage. They do not even mow the grass out front or keep up on basic maintenance. I've now learned that they're moving location instead of renovating and giving back to the community that has made them successful. Super disappointing that I will now live down the street from an abandoned building that was let fall into near disrepair.

They weren't lying when they said they don't take shortcuts. After about 40 minutes of waiting, I got my meal that was of alright quality, but the portions were quite small for the price.

Our party of 6 stopped in today for Brunch. The restaurant is nicely lit and clean. We sat and were given menus right away. I ordered the 222 because it comes with home fries, so did another member of our party. Others in our party ordered different items and ordered a side home fries. 5 minutes after taking our order the waitress came out and told us they just ran out of home fries and were substituting with hash browns. The hash browns were not crispy, in fact they were barely cooked. They also had onions in them which I wasn't offered as an option (I wouldn't have ordered onions in them). The wheat toast was dry, almost no butter. The bacon was good as were the scrambled eggs. Having enjoyed this restaurant when they were located in North Syracuse, I was very disappointed that I recommended this place for our groups Brunch. Some of our group enjoyed there meal, they got the small fretatta.

The food was just ok, nothing special about it, however my husband had home fries and the potatoes had a terribly funky taste to them. Couldn’t eat them. He said something to the waitress but she kinda just dismissed it. Aside from the food, no one likes/wants to go to the bathroom where the floor is so sticky you can feel it when you walk, and the ladies room could use sooo much improvement. It doesn’t take much to improve the looks of a bathroom, especially one in a restaurant. I’d think you’d want it to be more than that. They were much better when they were in N Syracuse.

A giant jumbo ham and cheese English muffin Sandwich...... Lots of eggs and lots of ham in this Sandwich however, English muffin was very lightly toasted Tony who ordered sausage in his sandwich said the same.... it should have been toasted more...it was a good Sandwich however... HashBrowns barely warm not crispy as ordered, disappointing we both left half of them on the plate...... Very good Service at our table...wait staff very friendly very courteous.....

We had breakfast here. They have a selection of omelettes, pancakes, sandwiches and other breakfast fare. Nothing too remarkable about this place. Staff was friendly... Looked like there were only two waitresses... So service was slow. Food came out promptly once we got to other. Ample parking in the back.

Since moving to the area, we have been here on a few different occasions as it's close to home and rated well. The first few times I found myself annoyed with the wait time however the food was decent and staff was friendly so no big deal. Over time I have noticed the average wait is 45 minutes for egg, bacon, and home fries. Keep in mind, the food is typical diner, not made to order aside from eggs. The service is less than timely as the food is normally borderline warm. Today was the last chance. We waited 5 minutes for a table even though 2 were open, waited almost an hour for eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast and order was wrong and damn near cold, waited another 5 minutes for the bill, and lastly every around was also complaining and the sever made it clear it was normal. I can understand this when thier is line or maybe people come in at once,or if they were short staffed, however this was not the case. In the time that you wait for food, you can drive to brewerton diner and eat the most delicious fresh food with a great experience. Never will I cheat on brewerton diner again. I really wanted to like just one bite but with terrible service and less than good food, not worth it.

Ordered online arrived 15min after order was placed. Then had to wait an additional 35min to actually get my order. Definitely needs more staff!! On top of that my omelette was made incorrectly! This happened around 8am 9/7/24

I met a friend there last week to have lunch. It was my first time there. I chose it because I wanted to support a local business vs a chain but I was very disappointed. The restaurant was less than half full, but it took forever for someone to greet us and take our order. Then it took quite a while to actually get our food. We just had sandwiches and it took probably 45 minutes. The portions were small but the food was decent. No one checked back and I was without water for quite some time. A server who was not ours finally noticed and asked if I wanted more water and I said yes, please. It took her another 10 minutes to come back to the table with it. I gave it a shot trying to support a local business instead of a chain, but I will not go back.

Went here with several ladies for lunch. Upper dining room, near entrance, was empty, but a sign said "please wait to be seated". Later learned that dining room was "closed". No one came to seat us. Waitress was very good. Several ordered the soup and sandwich. My chicken salad sandwich came on inch-thick white bread. No other bread options were offered. I ate half the sandwich, but just ate the chicken salad off the second half as it was way too much bread in proportion to the filling. Chicken noodle soup was quite good except the "noodles" were in fact pasta shells. At 12:15 p.m., one of the employees proceeded to vacuum the carpet in our dining room, making conversation impossible. Restaurant wasn't due to close until 2 p.m. No desert was offered, and by 1:30 we felt rushed out when presented with our checks. All in all, not a great lunch place.

Their service is horribly slow. The worst I've ever been to. We sat down at a table and didn't get asked for drinks or given menus until 20 minutes later. We got asked about 15 minutes later what we wanted to eat. And then waited about 45 minutes to finally get the check. I had the money ready but needed change and had to wait another 20 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us again. It. Was. Not. Busy. The service is like this everytime I've been there. My friend likes the place. Correction... My friend likes the location and the food. But next time we're going to Stella's for as reason. You should too. I will mention that the food is good and affordable. But don't go there if you're already hungry!!

Though this restaurant had great reviews, my experience was not the same. My husband and I went to Just One Bite at 12:30 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant did not appear to be super busy and we sat immediately. It took about 10 minutes before our order was taken....not too bad. My husband ordered their breakfast sausage special and I ordered the cheeseburger sub with French Fries. We then waited for 30 minutes before we received our food. I would like to again mention that the restaurant was not busy. When our food came, the only thing my husband liked was his toast and my burger was not bad, though it was overcooked. My husband's eggs were undercooked, his sausage was not as described and was overcooked and his homefries were undercooked and he specifically asked for them to be crispy. My French fries, which were steak fries, were undercooked. With that being said, our waitress was pleasant but overall, we felt our visit was disappointing.

Waited quite a while for menus, drinks, and food. My husband and I both ordered hot turkey sandwiches with fries and gravy. We received overly toasted bread with packaged deli style lunch meat on top of it and covered with gravy. The fries and gravy were okay but the quality of the meat was terrible.

I called & ordered a haddock dinner to go.It was Christmas Eve last year, around 11:30 am.I had to wait 20 minutes,& when I arrived home,& opened up pizza box,It looked disgusting! Ugh!! I saw over fried onion rings & very greasy over fried piece of what was supposed to be haddock.Well,it hardly had any fish to it, mostly breading,& was definitely over fried I called & didn't receive any reimbursement.I spoke with Laurie.

Was very disappointed 😥 Met two of my friends there this morning as we all wanted to see the new place. We had wonderful experiences at the former location. First thing we noticef was there was no daily specials listed anywhere. Use to love the peach cobbler waffles. Not sure if they have a new cook or what happened today? It wasn't extremely busy, we waited well over an hour for our orders as we watched tables come in after us and get their food before us. When we finally was served our orders my omelet was over cooked on the outside and undercooked in the inside. My friends home fries were burnt and scrambled eggs were brown. They use to use fresh mushrooms, I'm pretty sure they used canned mushrooms in my omelet. Maybe they need to work out a few more kinks I don't know?? Maybe we'll give them another shot in a month or so??

Food was good but definitely not worth the wait. We sat for a good hour waiting for our drinks and for the server to take our order. The tv was loud and so my dad and I could barely talk to keep ourselves occupied. Then our food took another 30 mins. I felt bad for many people who were sitting there long before us still waiting for their check. This place was 100% under staffed. I felt bad for the single waitress running the whole place because she was very nice and polite.

I try not to write bad things...but this was the worst. They had good things on the board...but we were told they were lunch specials...asked where dinner ones were the waitress said there were none ???? Then she said they are never open on Friday nites...but you are??? Yes well we have fish sandwich with FF...I said ok...we both got that....it was a huge fish sandwich...fries were not done! I couldn't get passed the taste...it had been fried before...oil taste...we used it to eat in this place all the time..but not again....bill came the huge fish sandwich was more than fish dinner with no sides...I just came right out and asked...what happened to this place....food used to be great...

We are an interracial couple that came here for breakfast. After noticing several people who sat a half hour after us get served, we asked the waitress about our order. She ignored us and refused to serve us. After about an hour we simply paid for our coffee and left. The worst dining experience ever. It's been years since we've had yo deal with this sort of racist nonsense but it seems alive and well at Just One Bite.

We like to try local restaurants when we travel. This place had high rating so we tried it. What a mistake we are greeted and seated. Our drink order is taken and also give our food order and wait. Others come in after us and start to get their drinks. And the server comes back over and ask us what we would like to drink? We tell her she already took our drink order. She does get our drinks after that. But then the long long wait starts for our food. Then she just keep passing bye us not stopping. The other server comes over to see about a refill of coffee. At this time we are waiting for food about 40 plus minutes. The 5 tables that came after us are all eating now. We stop our server and ask about our food. And ask about our food. Letting her know that the other tables that came in after us l got their food. She told us they are short stuffed. And our should be out soon. And we wait again another 10 plus. And she bring out another tables food(yes they came in a good 30 plus mins after us). Then she comes out with our food. And quest what it's cold.. My food is suppose to be a hot skillet with eggs on top. The skillet itself is cold. She kind of looked surprise that I gave the food back because it was cold. She then took it back into the kitchen. And came back in like 10 mins saying they just finish it. (They put it in the microwave and the eggs the eggs were rubber and any of the cheese exposed is also rubbery. Only able to eat a small part of it. And it made me feel sick afterwards).

The wait time was ridiculous!! We have been coming to this diner for yrs and the new restaurant is beautiful but wr waited for 40 mins and then were told they ran out of an item for my meal. Then we continued to wait for food. Total wait time was an hour for eggs and pancakes....do better. Very disappointed 😞

This place fell off dramatically. They used to make good fresh toast now I barely finished my food. Last I was there They must got a different cook, but I wouldn’t come here again

Walked in, ordered drinks. Tried giving us a coffee we didn't order and then forgot a chocolate milk we did actually order. After waiting nearly 15 minutes, we walked out because no one seemed to think we came in to actually eat. Left the cash for the one soda we did get. Place wasn't even busy.

Gave you at least 6 times to improve since you left north Syracuse. Until you get a new cook will not be back..glad to see restrooms in better shape..but food quality terrible. Sausage used for gravy different as the gravy has not been the same either..wish you well in the future. . Girls on floor were always great

We stood in the doorway where it's says "wait to be seated" for 5 minutes while we were walked by at least 5 times by waitresses and not ONCE we're we asked if we needed/wanted to be seated. I truly don't understand the lack of customer service anymore. And they were most definitely NOT busy. Ended up turning around and walking out because it's honestly rude and disrespectful to treat customers in that manner. Editing to reply. This did happen this morning. We have never been there and were excited to finally try it but I dislike being ignored from the get go. I know for a fact we were seen, there was a table full of Sheriff's being attended too, and at least 3 employees saw us standing there. Not one person said "Hi" or "Be right with you". I just don't understand as it would have taken literally one second to just say "Hey I'm busy, but I'll be right with you"

Came for breakfast on Saturday morning around 10:45 and stood at the host stand for about 5 minutes before someone came over to us, we sat and had some girl get our drinks and say a server was going to be with us shortly 25 minutes later and still no sever came to get our order . Left a 5$ on the table and left definitely won’t be back especially after seeing reviews about mice. Better off going to Cracker Barrel

Just One Bite came highly recommended. So we decided to give it a try. We went in the front door, not knowing at the time there is a back door, there was a party of 10 or more in the bar area. We waited upstairs and there was a sign that said wait to be seated. We waited at least 5 minutes or more. Even made eye contact with the waitresses downstairs. We ended up leaving. We won’t go back. You should have better signs up as to where to go to get noticed.

Wait times are extremely long. I arrived around 11:30am and didn’t get my food until almost 1:30pm. It took a while for them to even take our order. Once it was in, the wait time was over an hour for the food. People who came in with us had already left. We were about to walk out when the food came. What really disappointed me is that you could tell the food was left out for some time and nothing was fresh. At that point it wasn’t worth it and we had to walk out.
