Lovely place. The food was amazing and plentiful, the staff and owner were wonderful and made us feel at home. The menu was simple in that of each of the courses available, there were two options. Not options were fantastic, I of course had to have the filet in the red wine reduction sauce. Desert, also fantastic, all paired wit a delicious wine.

One of the best restaurants around! Their ever changing menu has some of the freshest fruits and veggies around. This evening I got an Antipasto plate which was an unreal mix of fruit, cheeses and meats. Maim course was a pork chop placed on a bed of chive mashed potatoes. Dessert was cheesecake topped with a berry compote. Everything was exquisite and tasted delicious. Could not recommend this place enough!

I had a fantastic dinner at this place. The food was prepared in a way that made me feel like I had my own personal chef. There were many flavors to discover, each offering a delightful experience for the taste buds. Everyone greeted me with a smile, making it feel as if we were old friends catching up after a long time apart. My date and I were thoroughly impressed by the ambiance and the lively neighborhood outside. I’ll definitely return to enjoy more of this delicious food!

It’s been some time since we visited À Côté and so we decided to come for Oktoberfest and the German wine tasting. It was so so good. And the staff was lovely! We will be back soon for some mussels. Thanks for the great fries and the great wine and the great service.

Sigh ok I won’t gatekeep this place anymore but this is actually my favorite restaurant and I’ve tried a lot. It the perfect atmosphere of fancy/refined but cozy warm (the back patio when the weather is nice is so 🥰) I’ve come here so many special occasions, dates, celebrations or just bc I wanted dessert lol. U MUST order the mussels when u come and ask for a spoon or extra bread for the most life changing broth the mussels sit in. Every dessert here I’ve had has also always been a banger.

We had a lovely meal at Acote in their garden area! Service was fantastic and all the food tasted delicious. We got the strawberry baby kale salads, pommes frites and the halibut. Also tried the phony Negroni and loved it.

Fantastic selection of food and always good service! Lovely spot in Rockridge which is great for a casual dinner or a nice date night. Lovely covered patio in the back! Cocktails are delicious - they always have good bartenders. Menu changes seasonally although there are some staples like the moules fries. Parking wasn't too bad on the street (we dined in the middle of the week) but the weekend can be harder so be prepared to take extra time looking for parking or walking a couple of blocks. Close to BART. Highly recommend the Georgian khachapuri and stone fruit salad!!!

Service was good and kind. I had lamb meatballs, mussels, carbonara. Lamb meatballs were best lol mussels were just regular tasty but fries came with mussels were better than main menu. We asked more baguette for left over mussels sauce. Server Refilled a lot of baguette. Carbonara tastes like instant ramen:0 Don't order that. I would recommend lamb meatballs and fries.

Very nice meal out. Waiter was quite friendly and helpful with suggestions and portions (he kept us from ordering too much). Greek flatbread was yum. Antipasto plus the 2 cheese apps were a hit. Wife ordered the "Ace of Spades" drink...she approved.

I love this restaurant! A neighborhood restaurant in Rockridge, Oakland with great food and lots of atmosphere. Their mussel dish is a speciality, but everything on the menu is good. They also have a good selection of wines and a highly competent staff to recommend the right one for you. It is close to the Rockridge station, so it easy to get here from elsewhere in Oakland and San Francisco.

You cannot go wrong with À Côté! Staff is great, food/drinks are amazing. They have seasonal menus as well so you always get a new amazing experience.

Uncommon One

The food, vibe and service were exceptional. We had the pomme frites, skirt steak and Italian sausage flatbread. We washed it all down with mezcal cocktails. For dessert we had huckleberry and pear tart and cheesecake. Everything was sooo good! I can’t wait to go back.

Excellent food. Chill ambiance. Service here was exceptional as well. Highly recommend checking this place out. We had the Arugula Salad which was excellent and the Hangar Steak with Cauliflower and spinach. Very tasty on all ends. They also have an excellent whiskey selection and wine selection. Very friendly neighborhood institution. Staff and atmosphere are very welcoming- even to young families with kids. Food is good if not exceptional. Go for the homely vibes.

A Cote is a beautiful, happy, and delicious. The service was great and we felt like a server was there as soon as we needed them. We had a 3 course vegetarian meal and we liked everything, the Tagine was amazing. It had an intimate and elegant feel.

The food was delicious and the choices eclectic. While the dishes pay homage to European origins, it is not exclusively a French restaurant as it's name might imply. Presentation was basic. Kudos to service by Kevin at the bar.

Sat at the bar and the gentleman who assisted me wasn’t very warm or friendly. The food, however, was delicious as always. The Spanish wine flight that I had was tasty and the ambience was wonderful. The price point is definitely a bit out of touch as well. $72 for two appetizers and one wine flight seems bit pricey. It was good though, so I won’t complain too much on that end. Service was rushed and I almost felt slightly ignored aside from when the gentleman asked me if I wanted more food or drinks. They never checked in to see how I was enjoying the food or the wine. I wasn’t there for too long, but it felt like I was being rushed. It’s too bad because I’ve had some great experiences here in the past. Let’s hope that this is a one time deal and not the new normal.

The service and ambiance were both excellent, attentive staff and a lovely setting. However, I found the food underwhelming. From the pork belly appetizer to the melon salad, French fries, mussels and pork chop, none of the dishes really stood out. Pretty disappointing
