The Shrimp and the Grilled Pescador Tacos Calaco especial were delicious! The ingredients in the Shrimp Taco were so fresh and tasty that it almost didn't need the Shrimp. Cheese Enchilada plate was delicious also and that melted cheese on top was a delightful treat. I will go back again...

We just ate here for the first time and OMG, the shrimp taco was delicious & hit the spot! They do not skimp on ingredients, one was absolutely perfect. The fresh pico de gallo & chips were yummy with a choice of hot sauces at the table. Everything tasted so fresh! While all the hot sauces were good, I really liked the spicy. No overpowering vinegar taste, heat & flavor! Yum!! My spouse had the shrimp burrito & I didn’t hear a peep out of him, too busy eating. They also have Mexican Coke, which is so much tastier than American. There is plenty of seating indoors & outside, the decor is gorgeous & the staff wonderful. We will definitely be returning!!

Very cute and well decorated Mexican place to eat Small 10 spot parking lot, but also street parking Large portions for burritos - DELICIOUS Variety of drinking options alcoholic and non Quick wait for food - we did come around 1pm Friendly staff, very willing to answer questions Small dessert specials Lots of decorations and lights, comforting atmosphere Guacamole and other condiments proved via squeeze bottle, never seen that before but it was fun! To go and take out options Easy to read menu Expensive, but average priced given the location and quality :) TV in the back for news etc Bathrooms provided

Crazy good food at Oakland’s Crazy Skeleton taqueria. Grilled pescado burrito did not disappoint, along with super thick homemade chips & salsa. Server said fish was mahi mahi - very good! Colorful & interesting skeleton-themed decor, too.

I normally do not post reviews but felt compelled to leave a review for La Calaca Loca. I am an older woman who considers herself a “foodie” I absolutely LOVE the food at this restaurant. EVERYTHING is delicious! The vegetarian tacos are so good, I think of them all the time. The grilled fish and shrimp tacos are addictive, the enchiladas are so delicious, as is their tortilla soup. My family who have always been surrounded by good food, love this place. This restaurant has great breakfasts and and a lot of other Mexican specialties on their menu. I would encourage everyone to just try it once to see if it becomes one of your favorites. The owner and the entire staff are all wonderful, please stop by and tell them Giovanna sent you.

The best surf and turf burrito ever. It’s not on the menu, but I have them put shrimp in a Carne Asada burrito loca especial. Amazing! Fun decor, friendly staff. My go to burrito spot.

They have the best shrimp and fish tacos. The staff there are amazing human beings, they are very kind and helpful...and the owner's generosity is impressive. Thank you for the pineapple water my good friend....🙏🏽

One of the best taquerias in Oakland. Their horchata is sooo good and I usually order a quesadilla there meat has so much flavor ! Man oh man there tortilla chips always taste so fresh. Lightly salted to perfection. Definitely should give them a try !

Fantastic experience here at La Calaca Loca Taqueria. I have a serious allergy to raw onions and Kevin was awesome, making my taco salad himself. The lettuce/onions/tomatoes is pre-mixed so he made my salad with these ingredients he chopped himself. I am so appreciative bc it's so difficult to find a great Mexican place that will happily accommodate me. A MUST stop!

To have a great burrito, you need perfectly grilled/fried tortillas. And the quality of ingredients is great. Had a fish taco with plenty of fish. Little dry though. Fun little place in a little Plaza.

I ordered two steak quesadillas with the veggies on the side.. but they gave me the veggies inside, and the meat on the side 🙄🙄 paid around $36 bucks for it.. honestly, it felt pretty expense just for two plain quesadillas 😒 and the veggies were just tomato and onion 🤨
