When Tuk Tuk in Berkley closed last year, I thought I had lost a favorite stop forever. Today is a day for celebration because not only did I find the same quality I was used to, but I also found some new entrées. The staff, atmosphere, food, and location are top tier. I will return for more of this incredible experience.
Cute, bright spot for a quick and flavorful dinner. This place came highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint. The food was great and came out quickly — it was perfect, as we were getting close to our showtime at the Berkeley Playhouse. I had the praram plate, a delicious peanut-curry-chicken dish (and the closest thing I’ve found to Massaman curry here in the Bay!). Would highly recommend. The cocktails were bright and fruity, really tasty!
Delectable. Pad Thai. Absolutely perfect. It's been a long time since I've had good Thai food. The avocado fresh rolls with peanut sauce was perfect. I could eat it all day long. The soup I added a photo off didn't have a lot of meat and was super salty but the kebobs and their sauce was tender and juicy. The staff was super super nice and attentive. Had a really great time here and would love to come again and sit on that little patio to enjoy. Definitely come here. Don't skip out because parking is tricky. It's worth it.
Tom Yum Omelette Rice is a must try, unique and well seasoned. Pork skewers are tiny though. Service is just so-so but ambience is nice.
ATMOSPHERE: Looked to have a cozy interior, but we opted to sit outside. There are only three tables outside in a small space, but it's somewhat enclosed from the sidewalk so it still feels a bit more intimate. Located at the edge of rockridge, it's a relatively easy walk from the Rockridge BART. FOOD: Tom Yum Cocktail (very good): I took a sip of this and it was pretty good. It had quite a kick, and I like how much spice it had. The person who ordered the drink liked it, though said it was a bit on the sour side. I do not drink alcohol much, so I don't know how this compares to other cocktails so am leaving this unrated. Though I enjoyed it. Fried avocado and oyster mushroom (5 out of 5): If you're a fan of fried foods like pakora, tempura, etc, GET THIS! Actually, who isn't a fan of fried food? The avocado was soft and creamy on the inside but the fried batter was crispy and gave everything a crunch. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was also really really good. Pad Khee Mao (5 out of 5): This is my litmus test for thai restaurants, and they do it very very well here. Tom yum omelette (4 out of 5): Ordered this because I wanted to try something new that I haven't gotten anywhere else. It was indeed really good, with tom yum flavors in an omelette over rice. But my only complaint is that there just wasn't enough tom yum sauce, which was the whole point of the dish. Had to really scrape all the sauce from the dish to get enough to balance out the amount of rice and omelette. But the flavors were great.
Delicious food and great service. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, pumpkin curry and pad see ew. We were given large portions so nice for leftovers! The service was excellent very friendly and checking in on us periodically. We came before the dinner rush and loved having the space and staff attention.
Such great flavors! The noodles are fresh and delicious. The service was so kind and had helpful recommendations, like the ripe mango they had for a well balanced mango and sticky rice a delightful tango of salty and sweet!
First time here and we enjoyed rice noodles and curry dishes. One of the best Thai foods I have had around here. We will come back again. Thank you Yimm😊

One of the best Thai restaurants in the Bay Area! My group got the fried oyster mushroom and avocado, chicken green curry, pumpkin chicken curry, and basil chicken. All of them were super fresh and extremely flavourful. The curries all had just the right spice level and were nice and creamy. The portions were also very good for the price. The service was a little slow likely because we went a little close to the end of the lunch service, but was otherwise quite friendly and courteous. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is well kept. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking this place out.
Small group, all dishes were good to great. Special nod to the avocado curry, sounds weird but it really works. Special nod to the warm and excellent service. Pretty loud and echoey.

Favorite Thai place in the East Bay, hands down. We frequently do takeout & visit in-person. Highly recommend their pad Thai (the vegetarian option has lots of fresh veggies!) and any of their curry dishes.
Absolutely delicious! Probably the best Thai food I've ever had. I went with a group and had the opportunity to try about six different items from the menu, all of which were absolute bangers! The fried pumpkin and papaya salad were really good, and the spice fried rice had just the perfect amount of spice. I will definitely be coming back here again.
Yimm, more like, yumm! Ok this place was fun, I love Thai food but I always appreciate restaurants that have a menu that encompasses more than the “American traditional.” Yeah they have yellow curry and pad Thai and I am sure it’s bomb! I opted for something different and got the Mee Cook. Tasty! Reminded me bun ga nuong with a fish sauce and fresh veggies. The vermicelli noodles were amazing! Tasted homemade, really fresh. The flavor was slightly bland though and missing some spice for me. Also the portion was on the smaller side for the price. No leftovers :) maybe that’s a good thing though? My husband had the Lord’s Noodles which were also good but lacked some flavor in terms of balance. The pork belly with Chinese broccoli was good and brought a nice level of heat. I definitely recommend that! The crispy rolls were great, super fresh ingredients, I also recommend that dish. Lastly, some fun cocktails! The Tom kha was spicy but good, a surprising twist that worked for me and I was glad my entre was mild because it balanced it out. 🍹 This place would be a fun date spot, I think I’ll stick to my more classic Thai places but if ever I want something more special and higher quality, I’d pick Yimm.
The beef rice noddle is flavorful. The hot sauces are really good. Stays open a little later than other restaurants so it’s convenient if you eat late.
The place gets a bit crowded and if you don’t want to brave the windy outdoor seating ensure to factor the wait. The food is well seasoned, ambiance is good but slightly on the noisier side, the bar wasn’t operational when we were there. Spicier dishes were still moderately spicy, so you can enjoy the food without a sweat, service was fast and prices weren’t steep. As with any restaurants, ensure to double check with the waiter on potential allergens in items before ordering and have the kitchen be alerted on mitigating cross contamination.
Food was overall good. Came on a Tuesday evening and not crowded at all. They didn’t rush us at all and we spent 2 hours enjoying a nice beer and having Thai food :) Beer selection was limited but happy hour 4-6 for $4 and I got a pretty good IPA

Overall decent Thai food at Yimm. Both their flat noodle to pad kee mao/drunken noodle and the side thin noodle were well cooked to give the al dente chewy texture. Another highlight was the seasoning of the pad kee mao - tasteful and right-on-spot spicy. That being said, there's plenty of room left to be desired. Both the chicken and beef we ordered were well overcooked, dry, rubbery, and plain. While the Tom Yum soup was spicy and sour, it lacked the authentic flavor from lemongrass and other herbs. The acidity was also too pungent to be enjoyable. Also wish their staff can be more friendly than the minimum service.
Not bad, really appreciated how it was not as oily like many other Thai restaurants. Would say the curries are spicier than the usual Thai places here, which I liked. However, the portions (especially the soups) are on the smaller side for the price. Also I saw people recommended Lord’s noodles but it was honestly kind of average, the pork belly was dry and flavorless. But the avocado green curry is really good, spicy and creamy.
It's a newly added Thai restaurant to collection of college ave. Only indoor seating. Service and waiters are relatively responsive. There is full bar with kinda spicy drinks! I understand food flavor is tasty and subjective. Not so oily appreciated, however despite hot foods marked based on level of hotness, we group of four Thai-food lovers couldn't finish our meals due to very spicy 🌶️ hot taste. Sometimes so hot that no other taste could be felt! Not sure of the authenticity tbh to compare with other Thai foods or restaurants tried before. Anyways note that if you have some hesitancy on spicy foods. Try sticky rice and mango for sure to wash down all the spices 😉 Street Parking is doable.
Food is highly recommended, staff service are excellent, they're friendly and very attentive.....the only problem is the tables. ALL OF THE WOODEN TABLE inside and outside, they are all sticky. Feel it to experiences it to yourselft. Im not sure if its the wood varnish or just the way they cleaned it with certain. chemical.
Nice decor, four of us judged the food good but not special. Three vegan choices. Not as good as its sister restaurant Imm Street Food on University but this is upscale. The fried pumpkin is still excellent. I had the duck soup which has a lot of duck on the bottom so scoop down for that. Duck is all dark meat which went well with the dish's broth.

I had an allergic reaction, likely due to cross contamination with shrimp. The item was comped but naturally left a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise flavor was good. Place is on the noisier side. Outdoor seating didn't look very warm. They were likely short staffed the day we went so it was hard to get a hold of anybody. Likely not returning.
