Beautiful food and attentive service in a relaxed courtyard setting.
This place has consistently been excellent over the last 7 years I have been going. The pozole verde with hongos is the best the city!! I highly recommend it 🙏🏾

Fantastic food, we enjoyed the pozole, fresh salad with grapefruit, radishes and more! We also got a Birria taco for later! Excellent for the family with small and big sizes of salads and pozoles. We will be back. Service was great as well, dinner with two negro Morelos under 400 pesos, a real deal yummy.
My meal was delicious and healthy. I got a glass of the orange water and a corral burrito, which came with a beautiful and fresh side salad. The main dining room has big doors that open onto the street, so there’s a lot of natural light and people watching. This place only takes cash, as you’ll see from the various signs on the walls and on the menu.

Authentic small restaurant. Outdoor courtyard out the back. Cash only. We ordered the Menu del Día for MX$160. Vegetable sticks for a snack, then starter was a tasty tostada, main was fish (dorada) with escabeche and rice; pistachio gelatin dessert with cajeta. All tasty, served with friendly service. Washed down with a Corona MX$50.
We had the Burrito con Pollo and the Enchiladas con Mole, and they were absolutely delicious. The mole might even be the best we've tasted in Oaxaca! The restaurant might not have the most modern or aesthetically striking appearance from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. The quality of the food is outstanding, with authentic local flavors that truly impressed us. At around $10 per dish, it’s also very affordable. The waitresses were also very friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that you can only pay with cash, but there’s an ATM conveniently located right across the street, so this isn’t a problem. Overall, this restaurant should have a rating of at least 4.5/5. If you’re looking for authentic Oaxacan food with great service, this spot is a must-try!
We loved it here at Cabuche, we visited twice on our trip. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was cash only so did have to get cash out but we highly recommend doing so as you will be missing out on a great meal!
Lovely little restaurant. My second time here in 2024, last time I had the pozole and this time my wife and I shared the bartered shrimp tacos and black mole enmolada with plantain, and everything was 10/10. The agua tamarindo was also really good. The batter on the shrimp was light and tasty, not greasy. The black mole was decadent. The thinner tortillas here add an elevated feel to an authentic local experience.
Great restaurant! The shrimp taco was huge with 4 meaty shrimps for 70 pesos. The salads were tasty and fresh. Juice was good too for like 35 pesos. Clean bathroom and great service. Came to eat twice during our trip. Honestly better than many of the "fine dining" restaurants we've eaten at Oaxaca
This place is AMAZING and not crowded when we were there around 1pm on Tuesday. Incredible food, reasonable prices, speedy service. We had the pozole with chicken, avocado, crema and the “verde” broth which was nothing short of miraculous and the huarache with tasajo which was similarly mind blowing, including the hot sauce. Beautiful fresh papaya juice with lime. Don’t miss this place if you’re serious about food.
We really enjoyed the food at this spot. We weren't hungry enough to have a big meal but ordered a couple of the soups and a salad and found them all to be delicious and made with high quality, fresh ingredients. The restaurant was also peaceful and quiet which we appreciated.
Came by for lunch around 2pm on a Wednesday. There was a 30 minute wait for food but I was seated right away. I got the chapulines (grasshopper) quesadilla and lemonade. SO tasty. Kind of a vinegar flavor (salty and tangy) with the texture of ground beef. Must try! They also offered me some veggies to snack on while I waited. Lovely courtyard seating, too.
Perfect place for vegans and non vegans: My husband and I were craving Mole. So he ate his Enmolada with chicken and I ordered the vegan option. There was another variation with pumpkin. Super delicious Mole: dark, intense, little sweet and with a lot of taste! Absolutely recommend it. Great price/value (90 Pesos vegan, 100 Pesos with chicken). We also tried one of the many Pozoles (vegan) and it was the best we have tried in our 3 months in Mexico so far. In our point of view the place looked better than the pictures on Google. The waitress was very attentive.

Great food, service and atmosphere at a very good price. After eating at many highly rated restaurants, I was very happy with the quality and variety of food at Cabuche. The green pozole with pork was super flavorful, the birria quesadillas were delicious and the tajaso huaracha was my favorite. They have indoor and out door seating and the restaurant is clean. Definitely recommend this place.
Authentic flavors, attentive service, good portions, competitive prices. Different lunch specials during the week. The outdoor dining area is nice, garden-like with its pomegranate tree and numerous plants. Wifi is available. We returned a few days later for breakfast and wow! The chilaquiles with salsa are stupendous, lots of flavor but very mild. The huitlacoche omelet was very good too. Love the coffee too. Most breakfasts are a little under $10 USD including fruit or juice and coffee.
The food was fresh and tasty with a twist on local flavors. The Huaraches were good but not as distinctive as you can get with street vendors. The location is in a quieter chic part of the city and the space was pretty spacious. The grapefruit salad was the best thing we ate though. It was very refreshing and the most unique thing we ate in the city.
