So glad we found this place in Oceanside. I always find it strange when a place has a printed menu with prices, and then lists a permanent discount on those prices to make it seem like you’re getting a deal, when in actuality they should just have the menu printed with the actual prices and not inflated prices that then get discounted. Besides that very small technicality, we had a great time. The food was fresh and delicious—just they way you want sushi to be:) The udon soup and chicken katsu were also very good. The katsu was enough to share or take leftovers home for lunch the next day. The place got a little busy at 7pm, but the food came out pretty quick.

This place has good food and the inside is nice. I ordered an avocado salad many times from here and I notice that the pieces of lettuce are huge! I don’t think they cut the lettuce whatsoever. I felt like a slob eating it because the lettuce was so big I couldn’t fit it into my mouth. Also a few times the avocado has been rotten in my rolls and salads. Also there is two waitresses I believe. They are friendly but when it’s busy there is only two of them so you are kept waiting for a while. As you are talking to them they rush away mid sentence because there are so many people they have to get to!

The food prices have changed to menu price. For the past years it was 50%off all fish and 30%off all kitchen prepared food. That has been eliminated.

Honestly a bit done w the service here I love the food and tip well but its so annoying walk In at 2:50 alone asking for a quick bite the first thing I get told is they are closed @ 3:00 Honestly I get that but like A) why not make me feel welcome B) why not just let me have a quick bite I was alone and people were in dining room Its annoying— I didnt even respond just walked right out. I leave a 25% tip everytime I am there to, sometimes I tip the bill as a nice gesture.

I went here for the first time in several years. The sushi is disgusting, I wouldn’t feed it to my cat. Fake wasabi, cheap soy sauce, could only imagine what grade of fish they are getting. Safe to say I’ll never go again.

Been coming here growing up for years. Not what it used to be. Server never even came over and asked how our food was (or if everything came out as ordered), meanwhile my tuna was tasteless.. which I told the server about, and she didn’t care and or offer anything else. Safe to say my money was wasted, and I will not be returning.

RACIST!!!!!!!! As I entered the place, the staff assumed that I was a delivery guy just because I have a DARK SKIN! On top of that, they did not even apologize for their mistake! I checked the A la carte menu and I wanted to get one to know the flavour, they staright up refused to serve an individual piece even thought it is on the menu. I was treated in a very bad manner. No professionalism whatsover. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

I’ve been coming here for a long time. I ordered to pick up my order as usual. I spend at least $50 each time. After I paid for my food, the tall skinny male manager behind the register told me, for the next time I can’t get extra sauce on my sushi. What! I’ve been ordering this for years! His reason: It’s insulting to the chef. I said well, this is how I enjoy it. He continued to state how his chef takes pride in making sushi and how this is the way he makes sushi in Japan. I reminded him, we aren’t in Japan. We are in AMERICA!! Meanwhile I paid with American money. Basically telling me how I have to eat sushi the way they prepare it and forget how we the customers who pay the chef want it served! I’m disgusted and will never return!!! Keep treating your loyal customers the way they do in Japan then! Pathetic!

So I’m sitting here in the restaurant right now. I live in Miami and I’m here on vacation and I decided to come back here because we love the food. It’s 8:33 PM and the man behind the sushi bar who makes our sushi decided to clip his nails at the sushi bar. I got up and I asked the manager or somebody who works here if he can ask the person to stop clipping his nails behind the sushi bar where they make food. My wife and I are never coming here again as we are disgusted. It’s a real shame and whoever I asked, he just asked the person to go in the back and he never came back to me, so unfortunately, this will be our last time and maybe the board of health will be called. Not too sure yet.
