Pricey and small portions but food was good. I ordered the papaya salad, chicken red curry, chicken satay and chicken and shrimp pad thai. Pad thai, salad and curry, delicious, perfect heat. Ordered Thai hot and they actually made it that way and it was great. The chicken satay had a bit much of ginger but I ate it all. Walked in and waited about 15 minutes for everything. The host was also kind.
Had the steamed dumpling appetizer and the Amazing Land, medium heat. Love that you can specify the heat level. Food and service are always amazing.
The initial chicken and rice soup (free) had a broth so delicious I want to baptized in it. Clear with strong flavor, bits of crispy garlic and scallion. The satay was satay, but the chunky peanut sauce was excellent. Wife got the pad thai which was saucy and flavorful and al around better than the restaurants in Orlando, Winter Springs and Lake Mary (you know who you are). I got the garlic and black pepper frog legs and I loved them. Super juicy and tender, fantastic flavor. Next time it's the crispy duck. It was worth the 40 minute drive from Sanford.
Soong Thai restaurant was a delightful find! The food was fantastic, w/authentic flavors that really stood out. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients, & the spices were just right. The atmosphere was small & cozy, making it a perfect spot for an intimate meal or a relaxed day date. The service was friendly & attentive, adding to the overall great experience. The only downside I could find was that the portions were on the smaller side, especially if you have a hearty appetite like me. We ended up ordering 3 entrees for the 2 of us to feel satisfied. Despite this, the quality of the food and the charming ambiance made it worth every bite. We’ll definitely be back!
Always lovely eating here. The food is freshly made and always delicious. The service is also great and it’s an intimate dining room not too big. They seem to always have a lot of people coming in for to-go orders which show how good the food is. I can always recommend this place to any friend especially for their Soong Thai fried rice and shrimp and chicken pad Thai. I’ve also had their red curry chicken in the past. There’s plenty of parking in the free parking lot in front.

My favorite Thai food in the area. Was hoping to find a great authentic Thai food and ran into Soong Thai. Drunken Noodles, Red Curry, Pad Thai. Small business, service could be a little slow when the restaurant is full. Our second time here they sat 3 tables at once and we waited ~10 minutes before anyone came by to greet our table. But other than that, food was great and I would come back.
probably one of the best thai places in Orlando. small hole in the wall thai place. we got the drunken noodles and the pad thai. we also got the thai tea. the food is gas and the spice levels are perfect. if the spice is not spicy enough, you can ask for a spice tray and add spice in yourself.
Our favorite Tai food place in the area. The duck pang is amazing and our go to. The yum salad compliment s the meal and keeps you busy while you wait for your duck.
An instant favorite for Thai food in the area. The restaurant has a welcoming interior and friendly service. The menu offers a wonderful selection of options including seafood options and and assortment of delicious duck options. Our table ordered the Soong Thai sampler for three which I would highly recommend for parties of 3-4 as a way to sample the appetizer menu. For my main I went with the Duck seafood Panang which was the perfect option if your torn between a duck or seafood option. The curry was masterfully seasoned and ever bit as hot as you would expect for Thai hot. The hotness levels here don't hold back so no need to order spicier then what you want which I often have to do at other local Thai restaurants. Portion size is also very generous. I very much look forward to returning and experiencing more of the menu.
Soong Thai is an insanely good restaurant that you NEED to visit ASAP - we have been to a ton of different Thai restaurants all over the place and even lived in Thailand for 2 1/2 months in 2022, and Soong Thai is one of the only restaurants we’ve been to in America that has food as good as the best we ate in Thailand. The vast majority of Thai restaurants here are NOT EVEN CLOSE to as good as food in Thailand, but here actually does a fantastic job. Highly authentic, very unique dishes on the menu you won’t find anywhere else, and unbeatable prices with big portion sizes! We’ve gotten their Panang and Massaman curries before and they are top-notch; some of the best we’ve ever had, and the Green Curry Grilled Grouper & Seafood special dish is to die for - you should try one of these types of curries (doesn’t have to have seafood, you can do chicken or beef as an option which is still fantastic) on your first visit and you will be immediately hooked. For this level of quality and price, you won’t find any other Thai restaurant this good in all of Greater Orlando. This is now a staple for us and we will be coming back many more times!!

Stopped in yesterday with my mom for lunch, and was very happy with the service and the food! It’s a cute little place, with beautiful Thai decor, and super friendly staff. They were super accommodating and able to take out any of the ingredients that we didn’t want, in our case: bell peppers, but said that they were happy to customize and remove anything that we wished. I ordered the green curry with chicken, and my mom had panang curry with shrimp. Wow! What amazing dishes. They were exceptionally well prepared, fragrant, delicious and a great portion size for the price! It reminded me of the curries I had while in Thailand and the flavors were clearly authentic. We would definitely stop here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for Thai flavors in Orlando!
We recently dined here for lunch. The flavor of the food, spice level and service were all very good. The overall atmosphere could use some improvement (boxes stacked in hallway, worn paper signage and dimly lit). This isn’t somewhere we’d go out of our way to visit, but it is good if you are in the area.
Fantastic Tom Yum soup! It's the real deal. The curries such as green and massaman are also exceptional! A favorite place to eat at. Wonderful and very friendly staff.
A few of our friends told us about Soong Thai, so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it seems like a nice family owned business. We started with a small salad, and the peanut dressing was tasty. I asked the server if the crab meat soup for $4 was a small cup or a bowl, figuring we would share a bowl. She said it was a small cup, so we ordered 2. It ended up being a large bowl, too much for 2 people, so different interpretation I guess you might say. The soup was rather bland and no sign of any crab meat, so neither one of us cared for it. The red curry was delicious, authentic Thai seasoning, and I chose shrimp. My wife’s dinner was a seafood dish with vegetables. They were very accommodating about changing the vegetables choices, but she said the brown sauce was fair. Overall some good and bad things, but I will go back and try some other dishes
Quality ingredients. Very sweet server and good service. Be aware they close 245p-4pm as the workers all take their break and eat their meal together like a family. This place has gotten alot of recognition for good food and the quality of the food, and also their food presentation is always very nice which is like a special touch. It is a small restaurant so if you have large group you probably need to reserve a table. I usually go after lunch or early dinner so it is not crowded but during prime times they can be close to full.
Tried Soong Thai for the first time tonight. While the food flavor was very good. The quantity is a joke. A $16 large container of pad thai came with 4 medium sized shrimp. And the $15 hot basil pepper with chicken: This container is not a full quart in size, and is also only filled 1/2 way. It’s a pity because the food tastes very good as well as the thai iced tea which is excellent, but the entrees are just poorly sized/priced unfortunately.
Rude waitress and greeter. Small portions. Ordered the house fried rice there was one shrimp two pieces of beef and I believe the rest was chicken and again it was a very small portion
Been going here for many years. I avoid sitting in because they have become so rude. Clearly overworked and miserable but today was my last day. I ordered a Thai tea and was charged over $9. I have ordered before so commented on what a big increase that was. The woman who claimed her name was "Mam" said "dont buy then, you dont know about Asian restaurant. Go elsewhere ". WHAT???? 😂😂 Great way to lose a customer "Mam". Mam was clearly having a bad day but no one asked for all of that lady. Calm down!!
