Victory Diner is a highly-rated spot in Orange, CA, known for its delicious and authentic Mexican food, especially the chilaquiles and guava French toast. Customers consistently praise the friendly staff and generous portions. Some find the chilaquiles soggy or not spicy enough.
Tip: Try the chilaquiles or guava French toast, as they are highly recommended. Be aware that parking can be challenging when it's crowded.
My first visit to this taqueria on Main Street was a standout experience. This is not your average stop—the quality of the ingredients is genuinely high. I asked for recommendations and it was the Filet Mignon Burrito and El pastor tacos. it was all spectacular. The meat lived up to the hype: the filet mignon was incredibly tender, juicy, and very flavorful. It’s rare to find this kind of premium beef in a burrito, making it a very memorable and satisfying meal. I also tried the Al Pastor Tacos, and they were awesome. The pork was flavorful, and they were served on fresh, warm corn tortillas. The salsas were a highlight; I appreciated having access to the salsa bar, where I found both their hot salsa and mild salsa to be excellent. They were distinct, well-made, and perfectly complemented the food. A quick warning for anyone planning a visit: parking is minimal. The location is right next to CHOC Hospital in downtown Orange and only has a small area where you can pull in off the street for a parking space. It can be a little challenging, but trust me, the premium meats and exceptional flavors make the stop completely worth the effort
We have been coming here for over 10 years. One of the reasons we fell in love with the place is that as soon as you walk in you can smell some good cooking. Another reason was the chilaquiles. I have never had chilaquiles like the ones they serve here. This time we came in to not only enjoy one of the original dishes but also try some other menu items. But first let me just say when we originally found this location and ordered the chilaquiles they use to serve a over easy egg on top of the chilaquiles. Now it seems like its a hasel, when you order over easy egg they bring it as a side item. Well here are the new items we ordered. Rib Eye Taco Asada Taco Tripas Taco Lengua Taco Corn on the cob All very delicious! Coffee is still just as good a I remember it. The only other criticism is the service although good, not to friendly.
9.1/10 Nortena Omelette The short rib inside the omelette is cooked perfectly and the meat has tons of flavor. The saltiness of the short rib mixed with the green salsa on the inside complement each other really well. There wasn't too much meat to egg ratio It was pretty good and I found myself scraping the plate eating the last of whatever I could because of how good it tasted. This is a small place and not sure how long they can manage to stay here because I feel like it should be suoer crowded all the time I absolutely will be back to try more and this restaurant looks like all the food is awesome
My friend and I came here for breakfast. It did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was spot on, and we didn't wait to be seated. The chilaquilles were bursting with flavors. The tacos were ok. But the whole menu definately has something for everyone.
Quintessential great taco spot, nothing too special to speak on about the space because the food speaks for itself.
The food is amazing, love how they cook meat outside! Makes the street smell so bomb!
While the Chilaquiles were excellent, the Huevos Perdidos is the star. Get them and you will forever be changed.
This spot was one of our first date spots and we haven't been here in forever! So when hubby suggested that we visit here for their breakfast, I was super excited!! The Guava French Toast & the Chilaquiles will always be our favorite dishes here and it was just as delish as when we last visited! Because we were the 1st patrons there, our dishes came out super quick! We love the small, charming restaurant. We came pretty early on a weekday morning, so we got our choice seating. Be mindful that if you come on a weekend, it does get pretty packed! There are a handful of tables with chairs set up out front, with the main dining inside the restaurant. Can't wait to visit again! WHAT WE ORDERED: - Hot Abuelita Chocolate - Chilaquiles Divorciados - Guava French Toast
Swung by this place early in the morning and was surprised to see it so empty! The servers and hosts were very friendly with music going. We were treated with a very warm welcome, despite the cold and windy day! Ordered a berry hibiscus tea, red chilaquiles, and a carne asada torta. Everything was incredibly tasty and the food was served just as quickly. We would definitely plan on coming back to this OG Anepalco location!

We love this restaurant! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. We’ve never had a bad meal here. The chilaquiles are fire! But today we tried the burrito and chorizo tacos. Daaang! Can’t go wrong with anything you order here.
Visited for breakfast. The guava French toast was sweet, tangy, and light (delicious!). Service was great as well! I'd come back to try their lunch dishes!
It's amazing and a must have in orange county. Either location it doesn't matter. Just show up!!!
Unassuming hole in the wall type place but great food. I did the chilaquiles and added carnitas. A little pricey for the add on but huge serving and they did not skimp on the carnitas. I left stuffed. Friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.
This small little eatery near Choc hospital was a nice change of pace from those chain food Mexican places like Chipotle or Super Mex, The flavors here were more authentic and their dishes are very unique. Staff were kind, patient, and very pleasant. It was well worth the visit.
I was about to get my usual choice of burrito because the choices didnt sound too appetizing but as burritos are everywhere, i wanted to try something new from their place, therefore I tried the red chilaquiles( a little spicy). very unique presentation and very flavorful . definitely getting them again
The food and service was excellent. I've been in the l.a./ so cal area for 65 years so I know how authentic food should taste. I could definitely see them move into a larger place with more tables. The staff was very friendly and prices were reasonable for the quality and amount you get.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Anapelco’s on Main Street in Santa Ana is the greatest little restaurant. The food is always fresh, full of flavor, and truly one of a kind. The Norteñas omelette and coffee latte were amazing, and the salad is out of this world with a secret recipe I wish they would share. Every dish is crafted with care, and the service is always warm and attentive. This is one of those local gems that deserves all the support.

The service was excellent, and the food was great. I had the chilaquiles, which were flavorful, though they were on the soggy side. One unexpected highlight was the coffee, it was surprisingly good and tasted like something you’d find from a cafe. Parking isn’t great, and when it gets crowded, getting in and out can be a challenge.
This morning I was looking for a different place to eat and found this little place in Santa Ana. The reviews were a little mixed but I thought I would give it a chance. I was intrigued by the guava french toasts but was discouraged since it didn’t come with any sides. For $15.50 I wanted something a little more substantial. I went with the Chilaquiles Divorciados ($16). It was a mix of red sauce and green sauce - two fried eggs on too. Most of the tortillas are pretty soft so if you like a little mix of soft and crunchy you may have to make a request. Beautiful presentation. I also had a delicious mocha abuelita ($5). The menu is pretty small but the choices sound interesting. The place was empty when I arrived and was a little concerned since it was still morning. However, it started to get more customers as I enjoyed my meal. There is outdoor seating but it’s right where the cars park so it was not desirable for me. Indoors they have ample seating. The host/waiter was very nice and always checking on me. I would like to try the Orange location.
Had breakfast here. The chilaquiles divorciadas come with the red and green variety with eggs on top. I love spicy food and these were not spicy at all. But they had plenty of flavor. I personally preferred the red ones over the green. The presentation is very appealing. The service was friendly and attentive. Their hot chocolate is excellent using Abuelitas

It was a nice cozy spot to get dinner. They had a nice bar area as well. I got the Chile relleno and my girlfriend got the hangar steak. The Chile relleno portion was absolutely tiny and is not a full meal. It was OK but the salsa Verde was way too sour for my taste. The hangar steak on the other hand was much more of a meal and had a much better sauce. The mango cheesecake was the star of the show. I wouldn't go back but worth an experience.

This Is my second time here in just about 10 years. I actually don't even remember how the food was the first time around. The good bits: known for their chilaquiles. ( Not a big chilaquiles fan, but my nephew picked the spot). Chilaquiles aren't half bad. Throw some meat one there ( pollo or carne asada and artifact pretty good). Food comes in a modern upscale presentation with modern upscale pricing, but workout the modern upscale ambiance. The servers are attentive and pleasant and we were able to reserve tables for 15 people outside in the walkway on front of Anapelco's. The Not so good bits: parking is atrocious. Packed in a strip of buildings along a really busy road (main street) with about maybe diagonal 12 parking spots. I'd you miss the spots ( which some in our party did) then you drive to the back parking and walk around the building. One of the plates (Chile Relleno $13.5) was bland as can be, cheese wasn't melted all the way through and potatoes that came with the meal came super late. Now this is just my review, and again I'm not a big fan of chilaquiles. This isn't really a stroller friendly place due to the size of the restaurant itself. However, I'm sure those who love chilaquiles would love this place.
I was here a few years ago but had nothing to write home about. I came in about a month ago saw the outside sign changed and the inside walls were bare like a clean canvas. Figured I'd give it a second try. Had a few tacos and the pork rib plate. The tacos come with beans, cheese and salsa, was expecting onion & cilantro, should of read the fine print. I'm not fawned of cheese or beans and like to put my own salsa on my tacos, moved on to the pork rib plate that came with 8 potato cubes around the plate for decoration a side of beans and tortillas. Overall food was good. The tables and chairs do need replacing and the place needs sprucing up but if you don't mind drinking from tin cups instead of glasses like a small joint you find on the road to Hana this place has lots of potential. Menu is small but convenient, I am still not sure what their hours are (not posted) as I tried a third trip at 3:00 for a late lunch but the place was closed plus parking is somewhat difficult thus the 3 stars...I will ask next time I am there.

Took 30 minutes to get 3 vegetarian dishes (no meat cooking time). The response was that everything is made fresh. I agree that making food fresh is preferable but a restaurant should also prepare ingredients ahead of time so food can be made in a reasonable amount of time.
. Bad experience. The "chilaquiles" were made with Tostitos instead of tortilla chips or fried tortillas, which completely ruined the dish. The texture and flavor were nothing like real chilaquiles. For a traditional dish, I would expect authentic ingredients, not commercial snacks. I wouldn't recommend them. Terrible chilaquiles. They used Tostitos instead of tortilla chips or fried tortillas. That completely changes the flavor and texture. It's neither authentic nor acceptable for a traditional dish. I wouldn't order them again.
