The best restaurant we’ve had in our trip in Aruba. Top level service. The attention to detail was amazing and every server was warm and welcoming. Food was fantastic. While lomo saltado was the best, the lamb shank, pork chop and the branzino were equally delicious. The scallop was really good too. Definitely would come back in the future. Best make a reservation.
Absolutely fantastic spot right on the water. Service was friendly and every dish we had was well executed and delicious. The French Toast dessert was a Top 5 all time desserts that my wife and I had. Went for a celebratory dinner and was not disappointed at all.
The BEST meal we had in Aruba. We enjoyed the Lomo Soltado and the Flank Steak. Both were jaw dropping delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly. Our drinks were fantastic too. Our server, Abbie, was accommodating and excellent. We enjoyed chatting with her. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Aruba… but make sure you make a reservation in advance because it books up quickly!
Let me start by saying I am excited for anyone who might read this review and choose to visit Lima Bistro for the first time- it’s that good. We came to Aruba for a week long stay and just finished our second meal here, and both were 10/10 in every way. Every dish we had was better than the last- ceviche of the week, crab salad, cauliflower al pastor, I had the pork chop one night and short rib the second- my friends had the lomo saltado both nights- first they split then second time around got one each because it was so delicious. Drinks as well- had the Jasmine tonight. Had desserts both nights but the crème caramel was an absolute knock out. On top of that service was sensational- so warm and welcoming, while also delivering a fine dining (yet approachable) environment. Our server this evening, Nefta, pointed us in all the right directions and was so kind/funny. I cannot recommend enough! *we also tried their sister restaurant, Azar, and found it to be just as delicious!
Phenomenal experience. We had reservations around the time of their opening so there was no wait for us. We ordered Ceviche, Scallops, and the Lomo Saltado along with Caramel Creme for desert. The food was great, environment was nice, music played but was not loud. The server went above and beyond in her service and we felt entirely welcomed. She even overheard that we came to aruba for our babymoon and they even blessed us with a surprise pastry. In just the quality of the food alone I recommend this place highly, everything else was an added bonus of an experience. Highly recommend.
The best restaurant ever. I loved the seafood and the flavor profile of everything is incredible. On my beli app, this is my #1 spot. I loved our dessert, the crudo, seafood, and the best branzino ever. Exceptionally well done
This was our first time in Aruba for our honeymoon, we came to Lima due to raving reviews and we were not disappointed. This has been the best restaurant me and my husband have ever been to. We’re from Miami where flavors are an all time high and Lima took our breath away! I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a upscale dinner, especially for a special occasion, it’ll be a day you won’t ever forget, I know we won’t! They even gave us a complimentary dessert for celebrating our honeymoon. Karen was our waiter and she was very kind, attentive and helpful with giving us tips on where to go to next.
From the greeting to the invoice. 5star plus! I didn't verify the other reviews for Lima Bistro as whoever didn't give this place a 5 star is mistaken. No matter the issue it's still a 5. Abby served us and she was great. Sally the manager also came to see if everything was ok. Every plate is well thought out, the flavors marry themselves perfectly. The pictures are perfect and yes they taste that good! I took 2 minutes to compliment the chef. A must try if you are on the island!
Had a birthday dinner here while on vacation in Aruba and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff was warm and gracious. I was a solo diner, but everyone was so great that I felt like I was having a birthday dinner with old friends. I was also able to sit at the bar and watch the the skilled cooks in action and that was a real treat. By the way, everyone that works at Lima is beautiful! From the handsome cooks to the adorable bartenders to the lovely waitresses and waitors to the model-esq manager. Shout out to Ximena, Aron, Sally, and Franz for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this spot and if you're in Aruba, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Lima Bistro for a fantastic dining experience. Chef's kiss!
The reviews for this restaurant do not lie. This place is amazing. Even the butter serves with the bread before appetizers was finger licking good. Abbie our waitress was super helpful in helping us make up on our minds on what to order. Scallops were served on sea shells with some pickled sweet potato which was amazing. The lomo saltado was delicious. The rib by itself tasted a bit salty but together with side it is served with it was perfect.
From appetizer, to the main dish and dessert everything was great! 10/10. We stayed for a week in Aruba and this was our favorite restaurant! I got the short ribs, my boyfriend got a fish entree, either the mahi mahi or grouper. Ceviche was to die for! Great ambience and service! Drinks were good as well. We tried the Paloma and we kept the drinks coming 😅Will definitely pin this place for when we come back to Aruba 🇦🇼 Make sure you put in your reservation.
We had a great dinner at Restaurant Lima. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, both with the service and the little extras. Some dishes had a bit too many ingredients, which made them feel a bit heavy, but everything was tasty and fresh. Drinks and water were refilled regularly without needing to ask. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
Reservations are needed. Karen was the best! Ceviche, local fish Mahi Mahi, and lamb shank are delicious! French toast desert is a must try!
This place has good oysters appetizers and their short ribs were good. The steak was good as desired but chewy to me. The staff were very quick with providing the services.
I had the Local fish, which was the mahi mahi and it was delicious! The fish, the ingredients, and the sauce was so tasteful. The waitress that we had was also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Dining at Lima Bistro in Aruba was nothing short of extraordinary—easily the best meal we had on the island, and honestly one of the best dining experiences of my life. Had we come here our first day we wouldn't have went anywhere else. Every dish was crafted with remarkable intelligence and care. The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality—fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. You could taste the thought that went into every element on the plate, from the way the flavors complemented each other to the precision in presentation. Nothing felt rushed or ordinary; it was as if every bite told a story of passion and dedication to food. The staff deserve just as much recognition. They were attentive without being intrusive, deeply knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly proud of what they were serving. Their recommendations were spot on, and the way they described each dish showed how much care and attention goes into the entire dining experience. It’s rare to find a place where ingredients, skill, and service come together so seamlessly. Lima Bistro is not just a meal—it’s an experience that stays with you. I would go back to Aruba just to eat here again.
A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! My favorite meal on the island!!! I am gluten and dairy free and not only were they able to easily accommodate me, but our server, Abbie, was able to guide me to what would be safest to order. She was very knowledgeable of allergens and of the dishes as prepared. I felt completely safe eating there and would 150% eat there again if I ever came back. As a starter, they gave me gluten free toast and a homemade artisan sourdough to my husband served with this amazing red wine butter. We had ceviche with 2 types of corn and plantain chips. Then my husband ordered the pork chop which looked more like a leg, and I got the lomo saltado which is the best I’ve ever had. We were too full for dessert but we got multiple drinks - pisco sour, el compadre, and the weekly special - and all were amazing, but I think I’ll dream of the el compadre. So so good and HIGHLY recommend, it’s a MUST if you’re on the island.
Lima Bistro is an amazing Peruvian Restaurant had given new meaning to the words. Our server Karen was amazing. She told us the specials on the menu. Can’t even get this in NYC restaurants. I don’t know if I can ever eat Peruvian food unless it’s made exactly the way they make it. They set the bar so high in service, deliciousness, and hospitality, its Michelin level!! I will be coming back.
One of the best meals we had in Aruba. The food was incredible. Service was excellent and we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. 10/10
If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. The service? Out of this world. The atmosphere and dinning is elegant and well worth it. There is a good reason this place is recommend on social media websites and it lives up to its name and beyond. Must try ! Try reserving for dinners to ensure a better experience
Lima Bistro is an excellent establishment with great food and ambiance. The menu items were great and the drinks were well made. The passionfruit sour drink was particularly tasty. Anticuchos and octopus were great. Crudo was good too. This was one of the top restaurants that we had visited Aruba during our visit. The service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. They do get busy, therefore I’d recommend making reservations if possible. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing food - great service - clean space - love this place and would definitely come back in a heart beat. Thank you to our amazing waiter Abbie she recommended our dishes and we had no complaints. 10/10
One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Lima Bistro absolutely blew us away from start to finish. Every dish was outstanding — the Crudo was impossibly fresh and bright, the Lomo Saltado was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, and the Mahi Mahi was tender and beautifully seasoned. The sauces that accompanied both the Lomo Saltado and Mahi Mahi were absolutely incredible — rich, balanced, and layered with flavor that tied everything together perfectly. To top it all off, we had the best French toast we’ve ever tasted for dessert, paired with vanilla ice cream — pure heaven. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, and the service was just as impressive as the food. While we might not make it back to Aruba anytime soon, going back for another dinner at Lima Bistro is easily the most tempting reason to return.
The hostess at the front was top notch her name however she was from the Philippines). She greeted me and my finance and made us feel welcomed to the restaurant. We then was served by our waitress (I had forgotten her name as well) and was again notch. The best food on the island. So much flavour and the food presentation brought each dish to life. I would honestly come back everyday if I could and looking to have a 2nd booking on the weekend. Thank you for the amazing food and service!
Food and drinks were great, definitely a great place for a romantic dinner. A little pricey, but the service and atmosphere matched the expectation.
We had such a memorable dinner at Lima Bistro. The appetizers (ceviche, crudo, and scallops) were fresh and flavorful, the lomo saltado was excellent, and their French toast dessert is truly a must-try. Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. Our server, Yulitza, went above and beyond to make my fiancé’s birthday celebration feel so special with her warmth and attention to detail. Highly recommend Lima Bistro for anyone visiting Aruba!
Fantastic!! Highly recommend. Higher end restaurant with great service. Food was amazing! Started off with complimentary sour dough with their house made spreads which were a hit! We went to straight to mains after which we ordered the lobster sous vide and lamb shank. Both were excellent. Dessert we did their caramel flan which we cleaned the plate! Minimal wait time between plates! The best place we ate at while in Aruba!
A friend and I had a great dinner at Lima, a Peruvian-inspired restaurant in Aruba. Definitely worth a visit! The setting is a bit more on the fancy side, but still relaxed . We shared two starters: the beef anticucho and the red beet dish (with apple balsamic, chocolate, crunchy quinoa, and parmesan foam). That last one was surprisingly good, the flavor combo really worked! For the main, I had the short ribs, which came recommended. Definitely a good call – the meat was super tender and flavorful, and came with things like yuca purée, truffle, and tucupi (a yellow sauce made from cassava root, apparently). Big portion too. We ended with the passion fruit curd dessert, which we shared. Tasty, though quite sweet – maybe a bit too much if you're not into desserts, but still enjoyable. Service was friendly and they took my allergies seriously, which I always appreciate. Cocktails were a bit pricey, but all in all, a nice evening and I'd happily come back! :)
This was our second time at Lima from last year and it still held its own. Hands down a fav on the island. Abby, our server was incredible. From start to finish she took care of us. We had a vegetarian with us and Abby, just ask what she didn't like, and the chef came out with his creation and she loved it. The Peruvian ceviche is a must. We also had the pork chop that my friend gave it 2 thumbs up. I had the tuna steak, cooked to perfection. Oh, and the scallops, yesssss. Even a year later, the scallops were still yummy. Put Lima on your list. The chefs greeted us on the way out and thanked us for coming in. Oh, the hibiscus martini was super yummy. I think it was their special cocktail. You could eat the hibiscus too. Thanks again for the tea at Lima for making our night memorable. I suggest dining inside, it can be hot outside, but hey you're in Aruba. Shout out to Abby again...Abby, "hundyP"... Ron and Nickie.
This is definitely a great place. Service is fast and friendly. Drinks are a little pricey though well made mostly worth it. Ask for price of "special" drinks as my wife's was $22 and was good but made a little over priced. Everything dish we got was excellent. We did mostly appetizers which were all delicious and very flavorful. We had the scallops, the beef skews and the market ceviche. Desert was Carmel creme was good. Many main dishes I would love to try and may go back when more hungry. Even though this is near Cruise ship port it was very good.
Lima Bistro is a true gem. The atmosphere and the food a top quality but the service is what truly sets this restaurant apart. From the moment we arrived Jean made us feel right at home attending to our every request. Once we were seated both Tommy and Anushka answered all our questions about the menu and gave us some recommendentations. My wife suffers from life threatening allergies to peanuts, tree nuts and. Tommy and Anuska helped us make food selections that would be safe for my wife and double and triple checked with the chefs to ensure the selected dishes were safe. For those with food allergies, you know how challening dining out can be. The team at Lima Bistro takes allergies very seriously and provided us with a wonderful dining experience. The food was the best we had during out time in Aruba. The scallop and octopus appetizers were delicious, perfectly cooked and a wonderful start to our meal. My wife had the lobster rissoto and I had the skirt steak. Incredible flavors, beautiful presentation, and perfectly cooked and executed. The chefs and Lima Bistro are true artists and are at the top of their craft in terms of imagination and execution. We cant wait to make our next visit to Lima Bistro. I highly recommend that you visit early in your vacation to Aruba so you can come to Lima Bistro a couple of times. Mashi danki to Jean, Tommy, Anushka and the chefs at Lima Bistro for a perfect culinary experience!!!!
Lima NEVER disappoints. From Cauliflower steak and lamb shanks to flank steak, everything was awesome. And don't forget about the desserts! The staff makes us feel special and like family every time we visit. Lima is my favorite restaurant on the island.
i love this place!!!!!! service is superrrrr goood !!!! everyone was so nice and food was bomb. just straight gas everything we got. for apps we had the ceviche of the day (red snapper), weekly creation (croquetas with short rib), and huancaina. BOMB BOMB AND BOMB!!! soooo good !!! for meals, my bf had the weekly creation (duck leg 2 mofongo) and i had the lomo. sooooo good!!!!!! yall, pls come here it is so good and im from chicago so im used to good food😭😭 this would’ve been like $300 in chicago. and then for dessert it was my birthday and they have a special dessert (bread pudding) that’s only for birthdays which was so sweet!!!! and we had the french toast which was so soft and flaky literally yum.
We came here for dinner in Jan 2025. It's right on the water with some nice views. We sat outside. The food was delicious. We ordered the scallops, with crunchy onions and a sweet sauce. The cauliflower was good. We ordered the short rib which was melt in your mouth with great sauce. We also had the pork chop which was a large portion. Also great.
The food was absolutely delicious! I am from Peru and all of the flavors were just amazing! The market ceviche touched my heart and made me feel like at home. Hoping to be back soon!
Unexpected high-end Peruvian cuisine. The octopus appetizer was perhaps the best octopus I've ever eaten. The scallops and ceviche were excellent. . For dessert the Nutella cheesecake was excellent topped off with ice cream I definitely will return
My boyfriend and I visited Lima mid way through our trip and had such a lovely experience we made a second reservation for the Saturday at the restaurant! The service, food, and atmosphere was all amazing. Our first trip we had some of the specials starting with the short rib croquettes, and for the mains pan fried grouper with pico de gallo and pea puree, and a lomo saltado, and finished with the French toast dessert. It was all so incredible - the flavours were so good and everything was cooked to perfection. On our second visit we got the tuna tartar appetiser from their specials with a purple corn sauce, the lobster suvide and the duck. Again everything was fantastic. This is definitely a place to visit and will definitely be recommending to our friends who visit Aruba!
Truly one of the best meals we have ever had had! Not just on vacation, ever! We started with the Octopus and Ceviche apps, which were both fantastic. The Ceviche was unreal, a little spicy though. My wife had the lobster dish, which had such an unbelievable flavor to it, and the sauce was out of this world. I had the pork chop, and I must say it was one of the best cooked and seasoned piece of meat I have ever had. I would eat it over and over again. Just a top notch meal, and the prices are not outrageous.
This was the best meal I had in Aruba and is even one of the best dinners I have had in years (and I live in a foodie city and travel a lot). We sat outside and it was comfortable (tables a good distance apart, comfortable seats, nice lighting). The service was wonderful-everything paced well and attentive staff. The wine selection is varied. The food was presently so beautifully and tasted better. The portions are generous: Appetizers could be shared (although it’s very hard to share such good food because you want it all for yourself). The ceviche was delicious; highly recommend the market ceviche. I had the fish for dinner and it was cooked perfectly and tasted very fresh. It’s def a pricier restaurant, but such a treat and amazing value!
Lima Bistro was one of our favorite meals from our trip. Our waitress expertly and passionately explained the menu & her favorites. Every dish was outrageously good, without trying too hard. Some restaurants add a bunch of elements to make a dish look fancy, but this isn't that. The food doesn't insist upon itself. It's just incredible.
This place is surprisingly popular with a lot of reservations and almost full at 6pm a few days in a roll. After having dinner here, we understand why. The food here is awesome with very modern Peru dishes. Especially recommend Hamachi.
Unreal, honestly hands down one of the best meals I've ever had start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere overlooking the water. The service was impeccable. From the bread to start to the meal to the breathtaking tuna app to the main courses 5 stars. The best meal we had on the island and maybe anywhere in the world. We will surely be back.
Amazing food and service. So good we ate here two nights in a row. Tristan, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Jean, one of the managers, was also terrific. She called us by name when we left and made sure everything was perfect. We had the cerviche, lomo soltado, scallops, fish of the day, the french toast dessert, and drinks. Aside from the scallops which were overpriced for the portion, everything else was delicious and cooked to perfection. Lima is worth the price if you want great quality food that is flavorful and unique in a lively and friendly atmosphere.
1st time visit to Aruba and found Lima through a recommendation from another visitor. We walked in about 7:30 and although no tables were available we took two seats at the small bar. That was a great decision as the show from both the bartender and the four chefs made the night so special. What a show, hats off to Mateo and team. We had the special ceviche as an appetizer. Perfect! My wife had a tuna that was huge, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. I had gnocchi with lobster. Again perfectly prepared and delicious. Special that we got to see each dish prepared right in front of us. Met a lovely couple seated next to us who had arrived just for dessert. They had eaten here the night before and came back for the dessert. When it was time for our dessert choice we were surprised to learn that couple prepaid for us to have the same dessert they came back for. French toast with lots of fruit. Again it was delicious. Five star experience and hope to get back soon.
The cocktails, food and service are top notch always. We have eaten here a dozen or so times and it’s our favorite in Aruba. My husband’s favorite drink is the smoked bourbon smash. I love the market ceviche.
My husband and I were visiting Aruba from Houston and this restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. Food was fantastic. We specifically recommend the scallops, mushrooms, ceviche (spicy though!), and lobster. And the pisco sours were a perfect pairing with everything! Parking was easy in the adjacent lot. Service was attentive and great at helping us narrow down what to order. Nefta and Anashka helped us and we loved them. Highly recommend Lima Bistro if you’re in town and looking for a nice dinner in town. You won’t be disappointed.
Wow! Really really loved our dinner experience here! The food was incredibly fresh, and each item carefully pulled together to complement one another. Our server was incredible, Shayenn!!! She went out of her way to make it a memorable birthday. We had a blast, wonderful service and incredible food. Definitely worth it!
The food was very good and well prepared, and the cocktails were absolutely fabulous. While the service was efficient, it felt somewhat impersonal. Several staff members were involved throughout the service, yet the interaction could have been warmer and more welcoming. A simple greeting or brief check-in would greatly enhance the overall dining experience, especially considering the quality of the food and beverages.”
My wife and I visited Lima Bistro during our honeymoon in January. The food was among the best we had in Aruba. The ceviche, fish entrees, and the dessert were absolutely phenomenal. The service was equally as impressive, with multiple staff checking in on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The restaurant itself is also equally as beautiful, positioned right by the waterfront with a cozy interior. The only reason why I would not give 5 stars is because the cocktails were sub-par. ~$16-20 USD for cocktails that were small and overall not very tasty was a bit of a disappointment; everything else however was TOP NOTCH.
We were disappointed with our dinner at Lima. While the location and atmosphere were great, the food and the service were not. Appetizers were hit or miss - crudo was excellent, ceviche was OK (though the fried calamari topper was terrible) and the tuna tartar was OK. Main courses were worse, with the tuna steak being overcooked and just not tasty and the Mahi Mahi was dry. Desserts were OK. Service was awful all night. Our server barely spoke English and was impossible to understand. She was also never to be found. Dishes also did not all come out at the same time and some came out 5+ min after all others. Drinks took forever. We were excited to try a new place, but will not return to Lima Bistro.
