Volveremos
Wonderful, super-professional staff, attentive to every detail. With more than 10 starters and 10 main courses, we have an incredible variety of dishes, all superbly prepared. At a super-competitive price. Since I discovered this restaurant, I've noticed such a difference compared to many other well-known restaurants that I think it's by far the best. The food was so delicious that I forgot to picture the stewed veal and the Portuguese cod on another impressive occasion.
We went as a family, a large group, and the experience was very good. The atmosphere was relaxed, although it was a bit warm. We opted for the set menu, which had a good variety. I chose octopus as a starter and grilled meat as a main course, both very tasty and beautifully presented. For dessert, I had baked cheese, which was a great choice. The waiter's service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and very professional. A highly recommended place for a good meal in a pleasant setting.
The people are incredibly friendly. The food is homemade, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor and quality. They offer a complete daily menu at a very affordable price. For dinner, they have toasts and off-menu specials that are also very well prepared. A highly recommended place for both lunch and dinner.
Good service and good food
He comido de menú a 12.50 € plato bastante grande arroz 3 delicias y bonito de segundo. La tarta de queso riquisima Servicio muy rápido y profesional. Me ha gustado buena relación calidad / precio
The place has a wide variety of dishes to choose from on the menu, the price of the menu is very reasonable. The quality of the food has gone down in the last year, they are skimping more and more on the octopus.
Good set menu with several choices for starters and main courses, bread, a drink, dessert, and coffee included for €13.50. Obviously, for the price, you're not going to get top-quality food, but it's not bad either. We had baby octopus with pork cracklings, breaded chicken cutlet, and baked cod. For me, the desserts were the worst part. The staff is very attentive, and the service is very fast.
ok
I came to this place based on excellent reviews, and the service was superb; however, the food left much to be desired. We were expecting the usual high standards: the scallops were delicious, the octopus was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor and presentation. The potatoes didn't taste fresh. The biggest disappointment was what we expected to be the star dish: the Portuguese-style cod. It even looked bad. To top it all off, the dessert was incredibly basic. It's a shame not to have enjoyed what I'd been told about this place.
The desserts are by far the worst. The place is filled with the stench of overheated vegetable oils. A VERY bad experience with the tasteless meats, fried in very poor quality and probably rancid oil. The only things that escaped the spotlight were the octopus (overcooked for my taste) and the ears.
We have eaten and dined at this place for 3 years in a row that I go to the area a lot, but this time will be the last!!! I asked for a menu, they gave me fish soup, I ask for lemon 🍋 I like to put it in fish soup!!! They make excuses, there is no lemon, it is dry and they bring me a lemon slice of those that are put in the drink. And late there weren't many people when we arrived, then the second course arrived, I ordered trout, it was cut in 2 pieces, they never serve it like that, they start eating it, it smells literally rotten!! I was sick, do I call the waiter? He told him that this is not condition, he smells it, he almost goes back 😳 He takes the plate away and tells me that they must have overcooked it in the kitchen, etc. He brings me another fish, the second time everything is raw and with remains of viscera, of course I was disgusted!!! And I tell him it is raw, I don't want it anymore!!! And they don't offer me anything, not even an apology, I mean, I was left hungry because they didn't give me another alternative, what do I know!! Any other second course??? The bill comes out and they charge us for the full menu without giving me the second course, not even an apology or a coffee.
The carbonara spaghettis were aweful😨
Well, honestly, the experience was unforgettable. Unforgettable in the sense that we ate like we'd never eaten before. It was awful. Not just bad, but terrible. We ordered clams marinara as a starter, and the marinara sauce... well, I don't know where it came from, but they must have been caught three weeks ago. It had been reheated at least four or five times. It didn't even have any sauce. We then wanted a beef steak. They didn't even cook the beef; they went to get it, but with how long it took to bring it and how bad it was, it wasn't even a steak. Honestly, I don't even know how I paid. They didn't charge me for the clams because they wouldn't have been charged anyway. Awful, awful, awful, the worst of the worst. The worst I've ever seen. A bunch of crooks who barely escaped a complaint to the health department.
We used to go there many times, mainly because of the excellent Portuguese-style cod. Today we decided to return, as we'd always left happy. But this time we were very disappointed. The baby squid had the cartilage still inside, and the cod was nothing like it used to be—it was boiled, half-raw, watery, and cold inside. Either they changed the chef or the recipe. The same goes for the desserts. To top it all off, they sent us a bill with €30 extra. We won't be going back... It's a shame, considering how good the food used to be and how bad it is now.
I am deaf and I called using a video sign language interpreter, but they hung up on me several times. Knowing I called through an interpreter and they hung up on me is discriminatory towards people with disabilities. I went to great lengths to find an interpreter so I could call them and they could help me understand and communicate properly, but they hung up on me when they found out I was deaf. Deaf! Shameful! I do not recommend them to anyone!
The experience itself was awful. We arrived and were told to sit wherever we could, rather rudely. After waiting 45 minutes without even a drink, the first course arrived: a salad with burrata and fish hairs, and five cold, overripe prawns. As for the second course, the pork ribs were raw—there were only four pieces—and the "sole"—I don't even know what kind of fish it was, but it certainly wasn't sole.
Since the change of ownership, it's been AWFUL. We hadn't been there in a while, and as soon as we sat down, things seemed off... the dining rooms were empty when they used to be always full, the menu had items crossed out and prices changed, and the staff was different... We were very disappointed with the food. Seeing how things were going, we decided to play it safe: two breaded veal cutlets, a steak, and a pizza. The breaded veal cutlets (which are hard to mess up) were excessively oily, the breading was terrible—the flour and egg weren't mixed properly—and they had a strange aftertaste, like they'd been fried in fish oil. The potatoes with the steak and one of the cutlets looked rather pale and undercooked, while others were more orange and mushy, as if they'd also been fried in fish oil or very old oil. The only thing worth mentioning was the grilled steak. The pizza was small, with a cheap, mass-produced crust, and the toppings were very oily. When asked if the owners had changed, they dodged the question. The waiter was incredibly polite and courteous, don't get me wrong. It's a shame that they're the ones who ultimately have to deal with these situations.
