Best food I've had in a long time in Ventura county. The lady cooking is incredible. Delicious soup is provided on order.

They offer a different cuisine that my wife happens to enjoy. I have gone back several times and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommend the lentil soup.

Food is always good at Popeyes, can't complain since there are no Church's in Oxnard :D Well... the only complaint would be the wait time, there is always a wait at the drive thru even though you place the order via app. It is so bad that they had to put cones to reroute the drive thru line. Forget about going there if there are any promo, the line spills out to the street. Next time I should probably opt for pickup from store than go through the drive thru. Update... There is also a wait picking up mobile order in store even though there is specifically a line for mobile pickup - doesn't matter as there's only 1 member attending behind cashier. Then there's 1001 question to pickup your mobile order, he asked for verification code, asked to see name on the order. The app doesn't show these anywhere. Instead I showed the confirmation email received - doesn't show my name either. I understand the extra step is to avoid theft, but what are the chances of someone guessing my name and order correctly unless it's actually me? Common sense lacking big time these days

Today we tried the new Hushpuppy Butterfly Shrimp & the Banana Cream Cake. We ordered on the app & it worked fine. The Hushpuppy Butterfly Shrimp were really good, hot, fresh & nicely battered. Definitely worth ordering. The Banana Cream Cake was moist, perfect dessert size & had good banana flavor. Drive-thu always has a line. Three tables available outside so you could bring your dog.

I normally love some Popeyes, and I've been craving the vaunted chicken sandwich. It was ok, but definitely not worth the hype. This was my first visit to the Oxnard location and was a pain in the backside to get in and out of the parking lot. The service was good. Overall, this was an underwhelming lunch.

Very disappointing. I love Popeyes but the drive thru line was extremely , and to make matters worst every costumer that's in line takes forever to order , like they didn't have enough time to decide what to order, but wait it gets worst.... As 35 minutes past and now am ready to order; as am done ordering they inform me that there all out of chicken so I have to wait AGAIN. P.S. The AI menu board stated that they were out of gravy and we specifically requested to not have gravy on the mashed potatoes. We had ordered a 12 piece family meal received gravy on the mashed potatoes. Then the order was supposed to come with 4 ranch cups. I asked if it would be possible to get 2 ranch and 2 buffalo sauce at the window which the attendant said they could do. We received no sauces with our order. There was 1 fork added for our family meal. I spent $50 for terrible service and missing items.

Folks, check your orders before leaving this location. Placed an App order on 12/21/25 drove from East-end Ventura to pick up, only to get home and find that half of my "Bundle" order was missing from the bag! I paid $29.91 for a chicken sandwich & 2 biscuits. Worse yet, busy during holidays, just tried to report through their App support, and since it's past 7 days (during 2 major Holidays), they won't accept even the report. Unbelievable!

This has to be the worst location. Service is horrible. Employees are rude. not once has my drive thru order been correct. Going inside isn't much better. It's sad that I have to drive to a location further from my house to get better service.

The drive through order system is ridiculous. AI that doesn't know what's on the menu. I orderd 3 Hot One specials that come with sauce. Sauce that you apparently need to ask for. I added bacon and cheese to a sandwich, that I didn't get. They didn't give me a receipt, so I was unable to drive the 20 minutes back to the store to have my order corrected. I also had to ask for my drinks.

Tonight I ordered 2 Can Dine, with white meat. I live in Ventura, but the drive seems worth it. But not to night, I get home with 3 pieces of chicken, one biscuit and one side. I called as soon as I discovered my order was short, I have actually called 8 times. No one is answering the phone. I also took a picture of my order. Unfortunately this is not the first time my order has been messed up. I have been a long time customer, like since you opened up. This is not only disappointing, but frustrating. Especially since my family is waiting to eat dinner. I would like you can give me the meal I ordered or reimburse me. You need to fix this issue or your business will suffer. I hope someone will respond to this message.

Most of the time the AI ordering system cannot hear me or understand me. Every other time this has happened I was able to just drive up to the window and order from a human. This time, the human in the window said I could not order from him, even though there was no one in line behind me when I first drove up to the window. He said I would have to drive around and order from the AI system, which I’d already unsuccessfully tried. He told me that I hadn’t talked to the AI ordering system, when I definitely had. He wouldn’t listen to me, so I had to come in to order. When I got inside I heard him lying to his manager or coworker about what had happened. Thankfully the manager was kind and helped me out, but the whole ordeal was so upsetting that I don’t plan to return to this location. It was far too unnecessarily stressful.

Been coming here for decades but the last time I was here was the final time. Went here after a 12 hour shift. Was drained, tired. Just wanted a simple meal to call it a night. Ordered the 2 can dine special. Get home, it’s only sides, no chicken. I’m so drained from work I just think, I’ll eat the sides drive there tomorrow and ask for the chicken with my receipt. Get there the next day around opening time. Explain what happened. Manager comes up to me after I explained to the register girl. Is immediately confrontational. Demanding, not asking, demanding to know why I didn’t call the restaurant as soon as I knew the chicken was not there. Tell him I was tired. Didn’t even consider that, I honestly thought a courteous appearance would be fine. No manager didn’t like that. Starts speaking very aggressively about how he can’t just hand out free chicken. I tell him I don’t want free chicken, I want the chicken I paid for and never got. He tells me how this 1 time he’ll give me a hand out, his exact words. But never again. I took the chicken and threw it in the trash on the way out. I have never been disrespected like that by a service worker. These people are always demanding higher hourly wages but my gosh, do they really deserve them when they act like this?

Went through the drive thru. The AI they use is terrible. Placed part of my order and then stated next. Went forward hoping to add the rest at the window. The associate at the window tells me they are out of the stuff I was able to place and that she doesn't have a menu for me to add something else. Wasted my time and I went to Dave's hot chicken instead. They're chicken tastes better.
