The chill & grill is a simple no frills ice cream and burger stand. Not much food on the menu but that's not what this place is about The ice cream is the show stopper. They have portions that will blow you away. I'm no wimp when it comes to eating but I have never needed more than a small when I eat here,and I usually get larges anywhere else. If you want to say "wow that's a small" then check this place out, it should be their slogan.

Huge portions at a great price! Get the smallest size ice cream if you plan on eating dinner. The kiddie is a dinner sized portion. This was my kid’s favorite part of our vacation.

When here on a hot summer afternoon and the entire time we were there the line was out the door. That says something positive. The food was worth the wait and we got a junk plate which was loaded and the meat was very good as where the Macaroni beans and fries, although by the end of the fries got soggy. The ice cream portions are incredible. Highly recommend for Summer Afternoon out.

You don't come here because it's the best ice cream ever, although it's very good. You come here for the experience of having someone hand you a cone with two pints of ice cream scooped on it and call it a small...and the experience of trying to eat that without a spoon. Good luck!

The food is great as well as the ice cream. They give huge portions that are more than what you pay for. It is very crowded in the summer and hard to find a seat, but absolutely worth it. I recommend their Junk Plate, which is a classic Rochester dish; it's surprisingly delicious and very filling!

This is definitely a destination spot!! Prices are absolutely fabulous and the portions are beyond measure! The food is great and the servers are always friendly. Parking can get tight but there is additional parking across the street. They have everything from frozen ice cream pies to giant ice cream cookies ( that serve 6-8), burgers, chicken, sausage, etc. And the Godzilla of ice cream cones! When your done checking out all the favors and options for ice cream... Take a moment to check the giant map on the wall! If your from out of town, ask for a star and you can star your town or country.

Enormous servings of ice cream for a great price with excellent service. Be careful in ordering, because a "kiddie" cone is 3 large scoops, a small is 4 large scoops, and we never order anything larger! Great way to end a summer evening. We have also biked the Erie canal to Palmyra and stopped by at Chill and Grill for a cone to "fuel" our return trip.

The size of the ice cream cones is off the charts. I ordered a "half kiddie" size which was 2 huge scoops. I couldnt finish it. We also ordered french fries. All 5 of us ate from that portion. Great value for the $$.

This establishment is amazing...! We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant from friendly service to the delicious food items from both “the grill” and “the chill”. The freezer containing the treats in the lobby should NOT be overlooked. Both the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup pie and the huge ice cream chocolate chip cookie were scrumptious...! If you are in the area, it is a definite recommend...!

As a Palmyra native, Chill and Grill has been a staple of the my life and the community. From little league games to school band concerts, everyone knows the place to go to celebrate is Chill and Grill. I try to come by for ice cream at least once a month in the summer (though in all honesty, I would love to drop by more frequently but oh man the calories would be killer); the service is always super friendly and as quick as they can be in the like ed space they have. Selection is carried enough that you can get something different if you're feeling it or default to your standard faire if not. Who would have thought my roommates asking random people on the street where they got their ice cream would lead to such a wonderful place. Parking is difficult though - but don't let that deter you. Just park across the street - crossing the road is worth it.

I always love going to the Chill & Grill their ice cream is always very fresh with lots of good flavor! Prices are great as well as their sizes!

Chill and Grill has one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Also possibly the best fries. 100% would eat there again. Word of advice though, the burgers are all 1/2 pound, so you may want to consider splitting one. I split one with my mom and we enjoyed it very much. My dad ate one on his own, and while he loved it he also ended up skipping dinner because of how full he was. Also, in addition to the burgers and fries, they also have fantastic ice cream. I opted for the soft serve, and it was awesome. Another heads up though, the small ice cream was probably about 7 inches tall. It was enormous. One more note: there is no indoor seating - you order inside and then eat at the tables outside.

We came for the ice-cream. The servings were huge! It was a little wait to get to the front of the line, but we did come in the evening, and we may have met the evening rush. They have tables outdoor where you can sit and eat. I had the pistachios nut ice cream, It was pretty good. I could not finish it, though, it was a really huge serving even though we ordered the small cup. If we are ever in that area again, I might just order the kiddie ice-cream cone. The flavor I liked the least was the rainbow flavor cotton candy (I believe that is what it is called). My daughter loved it, but I felt it had too much sugar. My family enjoyed a nice family time at the Chill & Grill.

If you are in Palmyra, you need to stop at the Chill & Grill. The food is excellent. Large portions and very reasonable prices. The ice cream portions are almost ridiculously large. The seating is all outdoors. They have several tables that are covered and some that are not. There is no indoor seating. The vibe is old time drive in. Didn’t love the pizza rolls but that was a personal preference. Burgers were excellent. The onion rings are exactly what an onion ring should be. They offer both waffle and straight cut fries.

Their hamburgers with everything are the best I've ever had. They are so good, I'm spoiled and don't get hamburgers anywhere else. And that's a bummer because I don't live near there and don't get by often. Their ice cream cakes are amazing as well.

Amazing ice cream!! Although there are plenty of items on the grill menu, I usually just come here for the ice cream! If you are in Palmyra, you HAVE to stop here! Be warned! The sizes are extreme, a medium is about the size of my head! I usually stick with the kiddie or small size if I am not sharing with anyone. Most of the time there are people around and ordering since it's a pretty popular place. The staff have always been friendly and the service is speedy, but never sloppy.

Came here after site seeing. They do close for a few hrs. We came in early. They were nice enough to let us get some ice cream while we waited for them to open. The ice cream sandwiches were very yummy. They come in a package of 6 I believe, gave the 4 of us a backwards meal dessert first. Everyone loved there food. Very nice place. Owner was extremely nice and took great care of us.

When passing through Palmyra we decided to stop at the Chill & Grill and were pleased that we did! The seating is all outdoors, mostly covered by a pavilion. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and involved. The food is your typical burgers/fries/chicken tenders, but the portions are enormous! They also have a homemade quality to them which was nice. Our favorite was the ice cream, which also comes in huge sizes! It’s perfectly creamy and soft, and comes covered in sprinkles. The overall feel here is laid back / small town, with delicious and simple food. We’d go back 👍

Good food, big portions, amazing ice cream! My family loved our lunch here. The burgers and fries were fresh off the grill and so good. I hate super greasy burgers and these were not that kinda burger. We also loved the fries and ice cream! There is no indoor seating, just about 5-6 picnic tables outside under a covered awning. Moms beware - the kid cone is very large still! Consider a 1/2 kid cone but whatever you don’t let your kids convince you they need a small. 🤣🫣😜

"This is a small?!" is probably the most common phrase heard there. The portions are unbelievably large! I order a half-kiddie and that's 2 scoops. My son ordered a small and it was 4 scoops. Later, he went back and ordered a large...8 scoops!!! Yes, eight! (And he's so proud that he ate it all! LOL.) The food isn't healthy, for sure, but it's sure delicious. They even serve "garbage plates" (an upstate NY thing) and other fried/grilled food. Free parking, but limited. A wee bit pricey, but not too bad. There's also a seating area. Seriously, this tiny place is a local classic. Definitely worth trying, especially for the ice cream.

Chill & Grill is a local treasure! We love their ice cream (and how much you get for the money) but all their food is excellent. Particularly the burgers. 4 stars instead of 5 only because they don't have bathroom facilities.

It's not bad. The ice cream is excellent, serving Perry's, and service is about as good as it can be, given that the place is small and the lines are long. Here's the main thing. Watch your vehicle. There are so many children and people running around, my van left unknowingly with scrapes down one side and a cracked headlight lens. Not the restaurant's fault, but, be safe. Burgers are good, not great, probably because of the choice of rolls, but spicy cross cut fries are great!

Ordered a banana split with less ice cream, more toppings but they put so much ice cream in , there was hardly room for extra toppings. The boat was so overloaded at that point that the toppings were coming off the sides of the boat. Very friendly atmosphere.. quick service.

The food and ice cream are terrific! The portion sizes are ridiculous, and so fun. I wish the staff was a little more friendly, I've been twice this week and both girls I talked with were really crabby to us. They were out of the ice cream flavor we came for, and would only allow us to try one sample to decide what other flavor we might like to get. We love to visit this place when we're in town, and hope the staff will cheer up a bit in the future. A smile goes a long way!

I like this place for the ice cream with caveats. The portions of a cone, or dish, for their soft-serve are huge. A "kiddie" size cone is what you would get for a medium at most other places, so judge accordingly. Their grill is just "meh," not bad, but nothing to write about. I do have to say their milkshake disappointed me. I ordered a chocolate shake, and it tasted watered-down. You could barely taste the chocolate ice cream. It would be helpful if they added syrup for extra flavor. If you like twist cones, though, this is a place to go.

I finally got to check this place out recently. The ice cream was good. Portion sizes were good for the price. The only thing I had a real problem with was the woman in front of me in line had a young boy with her and neither were wearing a mask, despite the sign on the door requiring a mask to go inside. I was surprised when they were called inside and served, so when it was my turn to be in there with her in a fairly confined space, I asked the girls why they served the women without the mask when clearly there was a sign on the door. The response was, "we don't really enforce that." So I won't be going back until this COVID thing is over, because when you're inside with someone else, you're barely at 6 feet and you have to walk past them and they past you increasing risk. Not worth it for ice cream.

For two people it cost us almost $30.00 for a burger and chicken strips which is way overpriced!! My husband says the burger was good but the chicken strips were nothing great. I think most people go here for the ice cream!

Too expensive. Flat out good but not worth the price. They are not making their own ice cream it's Perry's. The owner is being a greedy boomer like usual. Make your own ice cream, buy the machine and lower your prices or make a better quality product with better ingredients. Owner if you read this, you have a community responsibility to be at your business running it absorbing staff cost and lowering your prices. It's not cool to charge $17 for a mids garbage plate that isn't equally good as Nick Tahoe's or dog town. The sundaes are good, it's nice you can try everything or nothing with wreckless abandon. Place is clean but lacks any personality. Owner needs to consider all of it you are across the street from a failed grocery store, a place for sale, and and apartment complex... Tie yourself into the community and grow a personality

I have to preface with, I used to love this place but their prices have gotten insane. I got the junk plate which was 17 bucks, 2 hamburger patties, some mediocre macaroni salad, and what they call baked beans that I'm pretty sure are just very mediocre pork n beans straight out of the can and not even the good kind but the ones that are like 50 cents a kind... the kicker, this place used to give water cups but now they nickel and dime you, and dont even offer a free cup of tap water, and want you to pay 1.40 a bottle...not impressed today in the slightest. 3 stars is being nice.

The food here is great and fairly priced. The ice cream selection is also great. But as a business it is just stupid that they don't take credit cards. Every 2 bit, flea-ridden food truck uses square to accept plastic. These guys want Facebook likes, and touts their yelp reviews but won't take cards. They want the benefits of the Internet economy, but won't participate in the whole scene. Dumb dumb dumb.

Used to be great. Sadly that is a thing of the past. Soooo Overpriced. Less than average food. The service is lousy. The workers ( mostly teens) treat you with disdain . I will give kudos to the onion rings. Those are good. As for the famous ice cream? Soooo expensive. Yes you do get a lot but you pay for it so a deal is not really a deal. It bothers me more than anything in the world to have to give this a one star review. I have been coming here since I was a child. I'm 42 years old, and never once have I ever. I've been given an attitude or treated the way that my significant other. And I were treated, it took another patron point out how exceptionally rude Marley was being I ended up not even I'm getting my ice cream. And after several staff, members offered to give me food for free to keep me as a customer. My significant other and I got on my motorcycle and drove all the way back to Henrietta and purchased Abbott's ice cream. I'm hoping the owner of this establishment. Sees this. Review and hopefully Marley, we'll learn a valuable lesson as a business owner. I would have given her the rest of the summer off. She is the face of the company. When taking orders being extremely rude, it drives people away from your establishment, including other business owners
