NM Cafe

The Warm Grains was my favorite item at NM Cafe. Unfortunately, it disappeared from the menu during my last visit two weeks ago - I almost decided to leave but our sever Sanjeev came to greet us at that very moment, he immediately noticed my disappointment and showed me , in a very pleasant way, what he would suggest as a viable alternative. In addition, Sanjeev successfully managed to accommodate my special request and he paid attention to every details to ensure his customers have a wonderful experience. Thank you, Sanjeev!

The food was excellent. Salmon tacos, crab 🦀 pasta, and beet (add shrimp) salad were delicious 😋. Complimentary items (a nice surprise) of consommé and popovers with strawberry cream also a nice addition. Sanjeev was so kind and friendly - it made the lunch much fun.

We enjoyed a delightful family luncheon with delicious food. Laura, our gracious hostess, warmly welcomed us and seated us comfortably at a cozy corner table. Our server, Yareen, was both professional and courteous, offering excellent recommendations. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and the restaurant's calming ambiance made for a truly memorable day. Thank you to Alessandro and his entire team.

Atul is the best bartender and just all around great person. He always takes care of us when we go for a quick bite that turns into a whole event. Bummed to find out he moved to service, but he still made it a point to come and help us when he had time. Which was welcomed given the new bartender was anxious, still learning and gave an unsettling Vibe. Granted he was new but hopefully he relaxes a tad. All the servers including Rocky are super sweet and caring! Loved it here

This is one of our favorite for lunch. Excellent service wonderful staff. Menu has all our favorites! Great seafood salad with chunks of crabs on bed of crispy romaine and cucumbers etc. Their shrimps are grilled perfectly. Their desserts must try all of them!

My wife and I often stop by at the restaurant at Neiman Marcus. Food us good but today I just want to mention the pre-service. They bring you a delicious toasted Brioche and a chicken broth. Delicious and... if ask fore more broth, they may bring a whole pot AT NOCHARGE. Lovely.

This was actually a lot better than I expected. Promptly seated. The food was good. Waitstaff was attentive. Probably one of the better places to eat in the Stanford shopping center.

Like ALL better restaurants, they DON'T charge a surcharge when using a credit card. This is a fun 4-Star restaurant with terrific food. I've had the salmon, burgers, and salads. They're all great. Excellent service. The best public restrooms on the peninsula.

We've been here and the Rotunda in San Francisco a number of times. Today we sat at the bar for lunch and Atul the bartender was excellent. To start you're given consomme and delicious popovers with strawberry butter. The Holiday special crab pasta was really good. Unfortunately the bread on the tuna melt was slightly soggy. The highlight of our lunch was the person sitting alone at the bar, several seats away from us whom we noticed immediately. We didn't say anything to him until he got up to leave. It was former San Francisco 49er, Hall of Famer, and holder of many NFL records, Jerry Rice. He was so nice, he shook our hands a couple of times, talked to us for awhile and then asked us if we would like to have our picture taken with him which we did. I don't think that I should post the picture. He also walked around the Cafe and talked to customers and some had their pictures taken too. He's a great guy!

On the 3rd floor of NM in Stanford shopping mall, this was a quite cafe, even on a Saturday lunch time, surprisingly! Simple decor, comfortable, tables were a bit closer though. The seafood pasta was pretty good, with a couple large scallops and shrimps. The salmon was reasonable. But the crab sandwich was very so so and small, disappointing! Not good CP!

There is a standard cafe in every NM. Good quality food, more or less good service (restaurant is not main focus) I love their idea to bring compliment chicken broth and home made buns - it’s really tasty. Out of the menu salads and entrees are really good and somewhat healthy. Overall it’s a good place. I wish service would be a little bit faster and then it will be solid 5 stars.

The food, while more than decent, was almost secondary to the service. We were very fortunate to have Robert as our server and he made the experience memorable. The lunch started with consume and Yorkshire pudding with whipped strawberry butter. We ordered chicken Caesar salad and beet salad. Both were wonderful but the beet salad was better. Cappuccino was excellent. Robert was attentive and friendly, he positively contributed to the meal!

We'd finished shopping downstairs and went up to the 3rd floor for lunch today without a reservation at around 1:10pm. I would say the restaurant was not busy and plenty of tables were available. The receptionist was great and took us to a table immediately. We then set there for 15 minutes waiting for our waiter. He never came to our table to acknowledge or take our drink order. We flagged down another waitress who told me our table should be handled by the other waiter who heard the conversation standing behind us. Still, he didn't bother to come. We then spoke to the receptionist and told her that we didn't want to have lunch there and walked out. She was apologetic but it wasn't really her fault. The food seemed fine but on the expensive side judging by other tables that were properly served by their waiter or waitress. This is one restaurant that will never get my business.
