Excellent place to pick up Mexican or burgers! Stopped by, enroute to watching a taping of America's got Talent. Loved the Dodgers theme w the big screen. They have the yellow chili peppers. Service w a big smile and are accommodating! Thank you!!
OMG..!! Found this little place on Google maps after a meeting up in Pasadena & BOY am I glad..!! NOT fast food..!! Big old school homemade cheeseburgers & fat old-fashioned French fries. Friendly service, bottomless drinks & unlimited free parking next door... What's not to like..?? Need a quick lunch in Pasadena..?? Give this place a try...
Absolutely the best breakfast burritos in Southern California. Their entire menu is full of great food at great prices, and the employees are wonderful. They'll make your food how you want it and they'll make you feel at home while you eat. Stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and you won't be disappointed.
Great price, great food, great meat for the tacos and burgers. Genuinely worth trying.
The food here is amazing! The staff is great, funny and quick. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. And they have Orange Bang! 🥰
My very first time here in LA. I was walking by and saw this place & I do not regret it. The food was AMAZING!! The service was great, & the adorable helper was so professional. I recommend everyone to come here if they haven’t by now & come check them out! Thanks guys for the great service. I will be back
I have fond memories of the old/original "Rick's" burger/burritos spot on El Molino and Walnut St. Stepping into Bobby's gave me that same nostalgic feeling. The food is still good!! They've added bacon to the menu. Everyone knows that "Everything tastes better with bacon!" Our burgers were just as we ordered and the fries....salt to fry ratio was perfect. It was also good to see our local "celebs" (Johnny Long) dining when we walked in... just like back in the day! This spot is definitely a hidden gem in Pasadena. Don't sleep on Bobby's....it's amazing spot with sports playing on the TV, you can't go wrong! Can't wait to go back! Oh and Bobby...I am glad that you survived the Covid pandemic.
This place is so bomb…. Beef and bean burrito with extra cheese and extra burrito sauce… So good!!! Also, one of the very few places that you could still get an orange bang at. Don’t bother with chunky Taco Bell or Dell taco down the street… Definitely go here and support a local small business!!!
Bobby's is top tier! This place has been here for ages, I recently found it, and have loved it ever since. It is good food for the price with nice staff. Get the French burger if you can, you won't be disappointed. It is a burger on sourdough, it is so good. Love this place and it has been added to my top favorite places to eat in Pasadena.
They make a really good burger. Had the Ortega Green Chile burger served with grilled onions and some good heat on those Ortega Green Chiles with American cheese on grilled sourdough bread. They served some really good beer battered onions. A great burger joint.
What a deal! 2 chicken tacos 2.75 and the fried zucchini was bomb!
Nice little burger joint with Mexican food and other sandwiches. Staff was friendly. My cheeseburger was really good. The onion rings were awesome!
Typical burger joint. Great service. Good food. Love the fries and tacos. Breakfast burritos is yummy too 06/2023 It's been a few years since I've been back. Place is still the same. I still love the tacos and fries. Remember to say you want the tacos hot
I've tried many a delicious breakfast burrito in my day and I have to say the ones at Bobby's Place are among the best I've ever eaten. Consistently tasty with a perfect potatoe/egg/cheese/meat/sauce ratio. Always served with a smile, I definitely recommend them!
I can't believe I found it! I ate a spuderito and a cheese burger, they tasted exactly how I remember 13 years ago. I cant believe I ate both either 😳🫢😁I'm so glad i found them😋. Thak you!
I honestly haven't tried the burgers, but I can say that the Mexican food is delicious. Not sure why you'd go to TB or Del Taco and pay $2 for a taco, when for a quarter more you get fresh ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and slice of tomato. And free fresh salsa if you're so inclined (vs. a hot sauce packet). Plus, the meat is not greasy at all, so unlike TB the shell stays extra crispy. Highly recommended.
The best chicken strip I ever eaten hands down, and they have a breakfast taco you will fight over. And everything is made fresh, they don't even have a freezer in the spot. I highly recommend if you're in Pasadena you stop in for some great food
I moved back here recently and realized Rick's burrito was no longer on Walnut Blvd. Found out Wednesday that it moved and is now called Bobby's burgers. I went Thursday!! Found a new favorite, Jalapeño fries. Everything was as I remembered, very tasty and great portions.
Bobby Place Rocks! Just like the good ol dayz when our dad used to take us to RICKS 🌮 TACOS back then. They do offer more on there menu. There tacos are the same along with burritos YUMMMM I ordered there onion rings talk about crunch 😋 Thank again Bobby and Team! Karen Isip aka Kiki
Love this place! The spuderito with beef is amazing; I have been eaten their taco bowl for lunch two days in a row. It is so, so good. It is served in a giant fried tortilla, a layer of beans, iceberg lettuce, ground beef and tomato tossed in a green cilantro dressing. It's then topped off with some shredded cheese and I buy a container of ranch on the side. The owner Bobby and everyone there are super friendly as well. Give it a try!
Bobby's Place is great 👍. Their burgers are tasty and I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
If you're looking for a delicious Breakfast sandwich look no further than Bobby’s Place. Conveniently located on Lake Avenue between Ralphs and the 76 Gas station I picked up a breakfast sandwich to go! I ordered my sandwich with ham, eggs, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo and it was better than any sandwich I could have made at home! (you may have to pay just a little bit extra for the bacon 🥓 but it's worth it! trust me 😉) Bobby and the team were friendly and the space was inviting and cozy and reminded me of how restaurants used to be as a kid growing up in Pasadena. There is a beautiful panoramic wallpaper of all the Pasadena historic landmarks which makes for good selfies 🤳 . Going to come back and get a cheeseburger for lunch sometime! 🍔👌🏽🌹
Came here after I saw a coworker eating a crunchy taco. Glad I came, I had a crunchy taco and French cheeseburger (sourdough bread instead of a bun) they were both delicious. I will be coming back often!
I was so heartbroken 💔 when Rick's Drive-in on walnut closed up. I spent many years eating there at all hours of the day and night during my high school years and my 20s. it was hands down my favorite spot for crunchy ground beef tacos... fast forward to present, I was SO EXCITED TO LEARN that 2 original employees from Rick's took over the business (NOW CALLED BOBBY'S PLACE) and have resurrected what many of us locals loved for years. yes the food still tastes amazing like before and they continue the legacy... YOU MUST GO HERE! I have driven all the way from north Hollywood just to grab some tacos only and then have headed back home. I love this spot. and you will too
Where else can you get 'BREAKFAST TACOS? They are totally bomb. You need to go to Bobby's and try them. Kind of small, so get four, only $6 out the door. Trust me, they are so good! And friendly service, reasonable prices, and easy parking (at Ralph's parking lot, 100' away).
Just as I remember it. Had the classic 3 tacos and order of fries like the good ol days. Even better than I remember. Great work keeping Ricks alive guys! Can't wait to come back and try all the new items! We need another one an hour east!

Bobby’s is amazing. The food is fantastic, and the service was quick and friendly! The cheeseburger, fries and onion rings are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
Bobbys place is a wonderful place to be. The employees make the environment so friendly they treat each and every individual customer like family. So much so that customers are remembered by name. You can also tell that their food is made with so much love. They take pride in what they do and take pride in serving the community. Theres no other place to be when you look for quality, community, and family. So I recommend coming and sharing the love and becoming apart of the Bobbys place family.
Omg, I LOVE Bobby's Place🤩!!! I stop there every time I'm in Pasadena. All of the food is Great! I wish they had one in the IE (@ Bobby) it would do great here 100% Facts!! Don't Sleep 😴 Go Eat 😋!! Kay 😉😘
This place has a very special place in my heart! We've been going there for years. Originally it was Rick's and down the street on Walnut. My mom would take us there when we went to the orthodontist while in Jr/Sr High School. Bobby's has that same great taste and that same great people who work there! I love this place and I would eat it everyday if I could!
Bobby was the man. First time being there, and Bobby happened to be manning the cashier spot. Walked me through the menu and order. Top notch customer service and atmosphere. Burger and fries was great. Breakfast tacos are the item I want to try.
Iconic Pasadena location. I’ve been coming here since it was Rick’s back in the mid 2000s. Same friendly staff and food is always great.
Best hard shell beef tacos in Pasadena. Great hot sauce. We also love the Ortega burger, taco salad and chicken burritos.
Great food! Fried jalapeño chips and zucchini fries are fire 🔥top it with real guud ol fashioned ranch 😋
They are a little bit pricey in my opinion but the food is really good, at least everything I've tried. They don't offer a half order of fries and the full order of fries is a lot and for those of us worried about money that's not a good thing.

Good food. Been coming for years and getting too expensive now.
This is a small mom n pop spot with delicious food. We tried the French cheeseburger and the combination burrito. The burrito was beyond delicious and did not disappoint. The menu if full of different options. Definitely making a couple trips back here to Bobby's Place.
I totally did not know this was Rick's on Walnut from back in the day. I been here before but had no idea. Today I went back for that combo burrito and LTH and it was as good as the olden days. I had no idea! I remember the lines at lunch used to wrap around and just be absolutely packed back in the day. Anyways, the burrito is exactly how it used to be. I never ate anything else so the first time I was here I ordered something different and it didn't click.

While they did leave out an item they were quick to remedy it. The food was tasty and the shake was delicious. The place is super clean and comfortable and the two staff who were there were super friendly. First time there and we’ll likely go back.

Standard burger fare. Average food, simple decor. On the plus side, it's not expensive, and my order came out pretty fast. Definitely wasn't bad, but not more than 3 stars. Ample parking in the rear as well as on the street. Staff was friendly, and my order was correct.
I eat here often. Food is good. While waiting for my order today, a lady who didnt appear to be working, walks all up in the kitchen. She also had a baby in a stroller. To me,that's unsanitary. her hair was not covered. She was talking to the staff member who was making my tacos, breathing all over the food. Not ok. If you're not the cook,or work there, dont walk behind the counter where food is being prepared. Maybe she's an employee? Off duty? Doesnt matter. Ya don't just walk in the kitchen

The burger was salty, fries were ok no complains,
As far back as I can remember this used to be Rick’s Burgers on Walnut but they moved locations decades ago & then changed their name shortly thereafter. People in Pasadena/Altadena area loved this place in the 90s. Walked in for 1st time about 2/2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Hardly any customers there; it felt barren & had a weird vibe. The woman helping me with my order was quite rude & seemed bothered that I asked her what the cheeseburgers have inside & if they offered orders of 1/2 onion rings & 1/2 zucchini. Which they don’t, but there are many other burger joints that do. Even Burger King does now, so it’s not a foreign idea. She seemed bewildered & her response came with a sense of ‘that’s a stupid question’. Ok, maybe she’s having a bad day or she just doesn’t want to be there or bothered by my ‘odd’ questions, but I’m sure they’re paying her to work so she really should check her attitude when she clocks in or call in sick. I still gave her the benefit of the doubt. Food came out very quickly, almost too quickly for it to have been made to order. I asked her for chiles (the yellow peppers all burger joints have including In n Out). Again seemed like the weirdest freaking question a human at a burger joint has ever asked, asked again & she hesitatingly grabbed a few baggies with chiles. At this point I just wanted to get out of there. She didn’t offer condiments & I didn’t even bother checking my order. I paid $39 for 3 cheeseburgers, 1 order or fries & 1 order of onion rings. More than I expected to pay but everything is considerably more expensive these days. Burgers tasted good BUT they should dry the lettuce before putting it in the burger cause the buns were super soggy. So of course 1-2 bites in its a mess & falling apart. Fries were mediocre at best, but my son liked them after I added Lawry’s to them. The onion rings were breaded nicely & the outside looked golden & crispy but when you bite into them they are extremely bland & the significant amount of oil they were still soaking in made for a dominant flavor of fried oil be the most prominent. Not even salting them a little more helped. Unfortunately, this will be my 1st & last time trying this place. I’d suggest sticking to Lucky Boy, Fair Oaks Burger, or Hi-Life burger. I sure do wish Amy’s & Jim’s was still around, but the Jim’s before the Korean family sold it.
Rate this place 2.8 but Wow I had a few burgers in my life but Wow never had a salty burger. I came with my friend, was craving for some burgers ,was browsing in Google man for a try out a new burger place ,could of had in and out, Tom's, five guys, Tommy's burgers, the original tops or drive to cypress best burgers. But I decided to eat at Bobby's place because I read the review and saw good reviews. We came in from the back door, the place was empty, order a fresh double cheese burgers, a double cheese burger, 2 drinks and 2 order of fries for $45. When are food was ready I was excited to eat my burger and the amount of crispy fries they gave us, I was like wow ,once I took my first bite of my burger I was like hmmm.....🤔 let me wash it down with my drink and give it another bite. Again hmmmm.....🤔 why is it salty , maybe the pickles ? , nope ,maybe the sour dough bread, nope, the meat? Yes it. Everything I took a bite , I had to eat it with fries cuz it was salty and drink some of my drink , me and my friend both finish are burgers, got up and left ,once we were out of the place he told me that his burger was salty and I told him my burger as well. Drove him back home , had to drive back home 28mins away but had to ask for a bottle of water because the saltiness In my mouth ,lips was getting dry. Got home laid in bed, then started to feel tired and super sleepy , k.o for 5mins , wasn't feeling good ,feeling weak, k.o again , got up and got a Glass of 100% pure grape juice from Casa madeira it help me with saltiness In My mouth 5mins later was feeling better. My friend msg saying that it gave him the runs. Not coming back, the place looks nice ,all the baseball cards they have in the wall the jersey they have in the wall, the big flat screen TV they have as well , when they watch the Dodgers. It's your choice if you want to try this place out. But Not for me

Went with husband and the 2 workers stole my Michael Kors bag, that had my wallet with my Drivers License , ID, SS card Debit card, Credit cards. $500 cash. Theives is what they are. Won't give us owners phone number. I filed police report.
I have been living in Pasadena for 12 years and this the first time I have tried it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the bean and cheese burrito with extra cheese. When asked at the register “red or green salsa?” I said on the side please. Meaning I just wanted the beans and cheese in my burrito. When I bit into it somehow it had both red and green salsa inside. The beans were flavorless and cheese wasn’t even melted inside so needless to say NO cheese pull. The most disappointing part is that this burrito cost $12.50 with tax total and was worth $4 max. I do not recommend the bean and cheese burrito. I wish I would have gone to Tops on Walnut & Allen for an all day breakfast burrito that is twice the size and choice of chorizo, bacon or sausage for $11.13 total. I feel ripped off for what I got. I will not return to this establishment but wish them well and lots of success.

We heard it was Ricks from back in the day but it definitely wasn't we went in from the back door and the place had a weird smell they definitely need to hire some professional cleaners then there was a what appeared to be homeless guy there that walked through the kitchen where they were cooking to get the broom first and last time here wont be going back
