The beef, bean and cheese burrito is a must every time I visit. I literally light up like a little kid when I take that first bite. Another thing that keeps us coming back is the customer service we always revive from Daya. She is always so warm, welcoming and genuinely makes us feel like she’s excited to see us. People like her really keep businesses open.

Love this place. I used to live in Pasadena and this was the place to go. Now I live in ontario and I sneak away there every time I am around the area. I'm simple, chorizo burrito or a bean and cheese and I am good. The hot sauce is so tasty and the service is always welcoming. I knew the owner and some of the staff. I recommend this place for a great burrito. All there food is delicious.

I was walking around and kind of just randomly stumbled upon this place and decided I'd give it a shot, as I love trying new Mexican places. I'm so glad I did because this is my new favorite place! The location is super small, but still has a few tables inside and a couple outside, which seemed clean when I visited. Definitely had a hole-in-the-wall vibe, which I love, personally. Employees were masked, which I also appreciated. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and had such a welcoming demeanor. I told her it was my first time trying the place and she informed me they were known for their beans and their shredded beef, so, of course, I had to try both. The menu is just big enough, and offers a nice selection of things at very reasonable prices. They also have pre-made burritos that you can buy to-go, which I thought was a very cool idea and a nice plus! I ordered the bean and cheese burrito, a hard-shell shredded beef taco, and some chips and salsa on the side. The shredded beef was really good {I can't wait to go back and try it in a burrito), but the bean and cheese burrito was the real standout here. DELICIOUS. I absolutely love a good burrito and am always on the hunt for the right experience and I think the search has ended. Absolutely give this place a shot, if you haven't yet! They also deliver through Doordash, so keep that in mind.

Did I just die and go to burrito heaven? Maybe. I had the Ross Perot Burrito and a crunchy beef taco. Both were very good. The taco wasn't huge but it was tasty. Service was fast and friendly. I had my order to go, but there were some people seated outside. This is not a large place so seating is limited. I will be back.

Burrito Express has been my favorite burrito stop for my entire life. A Pasadena must-visit! Chilaquiles are my number one breakfast choice; can’t recommend enough. So much food for a great price, and amazing service.

Muy magnifico! We went with the classic bean and cheese burrito, and split a Mandarin Jarrito. Everything was delicious. Their hot sauce has a nice smokiness to it, too! The outdoor patio area is very pleasant, shaded and cool. Four car parking lot, but plenty of street parking close by (2-3 minute walk.)

This was my go to burrito place. I've lived here since 2017 and it took me a couple years to find Burrito Express. I would go there once a week for the Ross Perot - what an amazing burrito. All was great until I saw my doctor. High blood pressure! You see, I'd go on 15-20 mile hikes on the weekend (up in the mountains all over southern CA). I thought I could eat anything I wanted, because I was burning it all off. My doctor told me otherwise. So it's been a little over a year of no pork, lard, minimal vegetable oils and deep fried foods. Well ... I've had a little here and there, but I had to cut out almost all the Mexican food. In the past year, I think I've only had three Ross Perot's and I'm super sad! Everywhere I've lived in So Cal, I've had my go to burrito joint. By the way, the staff here is phenomenal! Great people, friendly, caring and they make a great burrito. I'll be by for my quarterly burrito soon. I just wish I could go back to eating one every week! I highly recommend Burrito Express. They're the best in the area! 10/2025 update. I'm still on my low blood pressure diet, so I can't come here as often as I like. I do come by and grab a bite once in a while. Lately, we've been eating their smash burger taco! Oh my goodness - what a great find! I highly recommend trying this fabulous new taco! I still dream of a Ross Perot burrito, but I've limited it to only one every few months. But I have had a few more of their smash burger tacos. And my better half also loves them, so I try my best to bring one home - it's a bit of a drive, so sometimes it just disappears on the way! Keep up the great work!

It’s the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back—not just for the food, but for the people. That said, the food is absolutely worth the visit on its own. Everything is super fresh, portions are generous, and the flavors hit every time. We especially love the Breakfast Burrito and the Chile Verde Burrito—both packed with flavor and always satisfying. And the Torta? Easily the best in town. If you're in Pasadena and want great food served by wonderful people in a laid-back, friendly spot, Burrito Express should be at the top of your list.

I ordered my food through DoorDash so I cant comment on atmosphere. My food however was sooo DELICIOUS! I’d never been there before but will be ordering again soon!

I've also had the chorizo, egg, bean, and cheese burrito. They are both excellent, although better cheese distribution would be nice (had a couple bites in each burrito that were all cheese). After a bad experience awhile ago, I decided to give Burrito Express another chance...BIG mistake. Ordered an asada Burrito only to bite down on a very large bone, hurt my tooth and cut the inside of my mouth. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The chorizo breakfast burrito- undercooked and the cheese tasted rancid. I had the worst stomach ache all day at work. Atmosphere- very cramped small hole in the wall establishment. I couldn't recommend this place.. never spending my money here 0/10
