Opiniones de Valhalla Pavia
Everything was good. With the all-you-can-play option, you can play any board game for €2 per person. We played an escape room with cards. Ultimately, since these are games that you can buy and use for nothing because you already know the puzzles, it's worth playing them here and spending that money on a sandwich rather than buying those games. We also had fun with other board games. One small thing to keep in mind: after a certain point, it gets a bit noisy because there are so many of you and everyone talks while playing.
A nerdy medieval atmosphere, with references to Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones everywhere. Hundreds of board games available. Plus, amazing food and unique beers (some of which are served in a unique way). If I lived closer, I'd go more often, but it'll be a regular stop every time I'm in Pavia. The sandwich was phenomenal!
The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly
I went for dinner with my boyfriend and we were both very satisfied with the evening. The place was welcoming and spacious, not to mention the atmosphere, which was very charming and playful. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We had two "Odino" sandwiches, which were very good and made with quality ingredients. The beer, drunk from a cute Viking horn, was also very tasty. The most original thing about the place is that for a small fee (€2 per person), you can play over 100 board games, a fun and alternative way to spend an evening. I will definitely be back, highly recommended.
As a lover of video games, literature, and fantasy series, this place amazed me with its references, both in its aesthetic and its menu. Of course, I was also amazed by the excellent quality of the food: the meats are excellent; I ordered the Rancio dell'orda, or pork shank, which was hands down the best shank I've ever eaten. The beer and cider horns were also fantastic; I highly recommend trying the latter. We concluded the dinner with some excellent mead with biscotti and a game of various board games. The place's unique feature is that all customers can play the countless games they offer, making for a fantastic, alternative evening. Kudos also to the staff, who were kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
I've been wanting to eat here for a while, and I have to say, it's absolutely fantastic. We ordered the Drakkar (Sif) for two to share. The cheese pinsa was excellent, the light dough was well-made, perfectly cooked, and the flavor was superb. Then I had a vegetarian dish called Heimdall, a very light soy burger with a very flavorful taste, accompanied by a double IPA with added mango, very fragrant, and despite its 8.0% ABV, I have to say I didn't feel faint at all. My husband had a hamburger called Frey, with an intense flavor and well-blended with the other ingredients, accompanied by a German beer, Bonakeller, with a bitter and strong flavor. The staff were very friendly, and I also noticed the meticulous cleanliness of the preparation and service, and the place was welcoming. I highly recommend it, as the prices are more than reasonable for the meal you'll be eating. Last but not least, you can buy the natural beer horn (no Chinese ones), which will obviously be yours if you decide to buy it. Or, you can drink your beer in one of the many beer horns inside the establishment.
One of the best place near river to enjoy with friends.
You can roll 20 to make a custom hamburger and play boargames all night, what more is there to love?
Recommended! Good value, especially considering the variety of dishes. The menu includes several types of sandwiches, all of which are delicious (it's a shame Bragi is no longer available and Tyr has been changed). The pistachio black dragon is also very good. The waiters are always friendly and the atmosphere is very unique, especially suitable for group outings since you can play various board games.
Nice viking themed game, beer and burger bar. Burgers were really good. Selection craft beers was good, mostly on tap, but could have been better. They had a lot of cans from beers they used to sell, but didn't anymore. But anyway really nice place to visit in Pavia. A bit out of the commercial center but worth it!
X Very Vikinghi💯
Nice place
Decidedly slow service, both when ordering and at the table. A 40-minute wait (with the place half empty) for a burger and fries, which arrived cold. The venison burger isn't bad. The idea of combining food and board games is interesting, but the kitchen management seems disorganized, and the place feels cold—literally. It could be a nice place if it were better managed.
I've always gone for drinks and board games, and I've never had any problems. Yesterday, we went as a group to celebrate a friend's birthday, and for the first time, I had the chance to try their food: the place was practically empty, and we had an hour-long wait. The dishes were cold (especially the fries), and the drinks were consequently warm. The food didn't meet our expectations. When one of our friends asked for dessert, the waiter didn't even ask us if we wanted it. Not a good choice for dinner, but recommended for drinks and board games.
We shared some fried food as an appetizer and then I chose a hamburger with “Odino” chips. I found the bread very dry and disproportionate to the rest of the ingredients. The meat fell apart completely and the onion stewed in beer and the bacon did not arrive. The service was very disappointing.. I asked with a friend for a special beer in a bottle and a can arrived! I also waited 2 hours for the hamburger, probably because they forgot the order! Too bad because the place is very nice and you can play a lot of games. <Unfortunately I have to change the review after the response from the place> I repeat that I asked for a special beer in a BOTTLE and not on tap!! And I accepted the Special beer in a can without any problems and so did my friend! The ingredients of the hamburger did not arrive.. they were present but I did not smell them at all!! My order was written twice on the order (I saw that the waitress wrote it down properly on the order) and it was completely forgotten. Seeing that all the diners were eating and I wasn't, I was asked if everything had arrived... but obviously not! I was asked what I had ordered (third time). Obviously I didn't argue and accepted the staff's apologies, I understand that given that the place was full it's not easy. Last point, making customers look like idiots seems a bit excessive to me. I advise the owner to take better care of the food, given that from the response he gave me it is more important to attack those who criticize something!! I don't think I wrote anything offensive, but only the experience I had. Lastly, "I would like to suggest" that if you don't like impersonal and anonymous reviews... change your job. Maybe you could have invited me to try your place again... I would have given you a second chance... but given the response..!!
Here, the fries win... but against your teeth. You know when you rummage through the tray at Mc Donald's to find those two super-crunchy fries, hard as sticks, that you usually leave there because they're inedible? Here, you don't have to choose: they just serve you those. More of a chore than a pleasure. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't convince anyone in my group: I myself left my plate almost untouched, and the others didn't find them particularly good either. The only enjoyable moment was drinking the beer from the horn: original, it makes a scene, but it's not enough to save the evening. I want to clarify: I had called to add two more people, so the number of seats was known. The delay was due to parking difficulties, but that doesn't change my opinion of the food. This rating isn't meant to be disrespectful to the staff, but simply reflects an experience that wasn't satisfying for me and my group.
