Food is great, service is great, Killer Film band was awesome!
Cool local spot with good pizzas and other menu items, solid beer list and a great cocktail program. Top Tip: Be sure to get here early if you are going before a Paramount show. Being the closest restaurant to the theater means it's very busy on show nights.
Love it here!! The service is great, the cocktail menu is expansive, and the food is incredible!! I highly recommend the roasted Brussels with goat cheese and hot honey. Also their music selection is 10/10. I don’t come often cause it’s quite pricey, but it’s one of my favorite places in Peekskill for sure.
Came here with my husband Tuesday night. Aaron and Chris (bam) were super friendly and informative of the wines, whiskeys, and pizza! I got the happy hour $5 wine which tasted like a $14 a glass wine and my husband got the IPA which was also very tasty can def tell their taps are clean. We got a Caesar salad to share and it was delicious. The build your own pizza was amazing you can tell they have a real brick oven to cook the pizza to perfection! The crust was crispy and doughy and the sauce was tangy and not too salty. It’s too bad we live on Long Island bc this would be our go to local spot. If I could give over 5 stars I would!
Amazing pizza always calamari and meatballs. Here at least once a week for snacks drinks and take out. Shout out to Mike April and Aaron for their service (patience) with me lol
Enjoyed another great nigh!. Yenni, as always, an amazingly friendly and attentive server. Great pizzas. And, an added bonus a great cover band. Gleason's has become our "third place" in Peekskill, where you can just chill and "be" in a cozy environment. Additional props for amazing booze-free drinks that make you NOT miss the booze.
Great bar…good food, good music, Aaron, April and Carmen have a really great bar and make everyone feel at home and welcome, a must visit
Had a great time seeing my friends perform here! Great service tasty food and very friendly staff. Cool stage and room with a nice vibe - I think the space has potential but the place has a lot of acoustic issues and is in dire need of sound treatment. Some thick curtains and a few panels would go a long way
My fiancé and I came to Gleason’s to celebrate his 21st birthday and because it was walking distance from home. We walked inside and a very friendly lady greeted us and took our cover for the band. What was very nice though was when my fiancé handed her his military ID, she gave him a discount for the cover. Very nice gesture for his service and made us feel very welcome. We chose seats at the bar and our bartenders were awesome. Very fast, friendly, and I always had a drink in my hand. The live music was a bit too loud and made conversation difficult. The drinks were good, generous on the alcohol. The wine was good as well. Overall, this is a very nice local place within walking distance, has good atmosphere, friendly staff, happy customers, respect for military, good drinks, and a great place my fiancé and I spent our Saturday night. We will certainly be back!
Great N/A mocktails!!! Had a N\A Negroni and it was so good I ordered two. Rarely happens I get a second drink but this one was so good I had to have a second. First time at the new location but had a great time at trivia ( every Wednesday, free to play, @7pm) Loved the sourdough pizza crust, specials were delicious and loved the option to build your own pizza, great for those with dietary restrictions. The pizzas are shareable but our group of 5 ordered 5 and there was nothing left over.
I stopped in for an early dinner. Had the fig salad, which was excellent, but was a special and not a regular item. 😩 So I also ordered the sausage and broccoli rabe pizza 🍕. I loved that! The restaurant is open and airy on the inside and there’s a stage for karaoke on Thursdays and other shows on other nights. Would def come back again!
Nice place to get an awesome pizza. Every pizza is crafted with a thoughtfully placed array of ingredients that comes together quite nicely. We had the Autumn Harvest pizza. The sweetness of the squash based sauce contrasted by the saltiness of the bacon really added a good amount of depth. They also have Trivia night on Wednesdays at 7pm
Solid spot for a meal! We moved to the city about 8 months ago now and haven't had a chance to come before, but are glad we did! A nice simple menu where you're bound to find something for everyone. We brought our 4 year old son and our waiter was kind and patient with him. We were sat close to the stage, which was great because we were watching the band set up for their set later and our son found it fascinating (a guy in the band even gave him a pick!). I ordered the Manhattan, which was very well made (I am a bit if a stickler when it comes to Manhattans). Our son got a cheese pizza, to which he gave a thumbs up (very high praise for a toddler). Was appreciative at the family friendly environment, and will definitely come again!!!
Three of us went there before a show at the Paramount which is right around the corner from Gleasons. When there is s show at the Paramount, it can get pretty crowded. Food was good. The bartenders definitely kept my interest with their fast pace and excellent serving skills while i was waiting at the bar.
My husband and I were underwhelmed by our Sunday mid-afternoon meal at Gleason’s in Peekskill. We hosted friends from out-of-town recently and chose Gleason’s for an early dinner based on favorable on-line reviews. Aside from the barmaid and a few patrons at the bar, we were the only diners during our 2 hour stay. The barmaid (doubling as waitress) was attentive when taking our orders and bringing our food/ beverages but her focus then shifted to serving the bar patrons delaying our coffee service for nearly 30 min. The atmosphere was typical pub-influenced but the background music made it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation. We were constantly bothered by flys circling around our heads and plates - the open door aeration and pest control practices need reevaluation. The appetizers (fried calamari and Margarita pizza) were overly seasoned with salt and calamari spongy once cool. Both my husband’s and friend’s Smokehouse Burgers + overly seasoned fries remained on their plates unfinished. By no means a typical occurrence for two burger connoisseurs. The pesto sauce garnishing the Margarita pizza and mixed in the bed of Risotto (Salmon special), was excessively pungent/ off-putting - (basil/cheese/oil ratio off balance) leaving a bitter aftertaste causing numerous curtain-calls throughout the night. The Penne à la Vodka lacked luster because of the few specks of prosciutto and mere tinge of sauce blushing the pasta. In summary, regrettably Gleason’s is not an eatery on our hit parade by any stretch of the imagination. Four very unhappy recent patrons. 🤨☹️😝🤢
We had a reservation and when we got there they unapologetically told us that they had double booked the night and we didn't have a table. There were two bar stools left all the way in an obscure corner past the bar and we sat there. We had to go up to the bar to order. We stood there for 20 minutes just to get an order in. People sitting at the bar told us they were waiting 25 minutes for a drink. When the food finally came it was mediocre at best. I would never go back.
Large party (9). One dish came out in a reasonable time and then we waited 40 minutes for some of the others (not all) after several complaints and excuses about ‘we only have 1 pizza oven’ (this place headlines its pizzas) and ‘a lot of people came in at once (the whole center area of tables was empty when we ordered). We have a person in our party with a significant disability and need to get to a show. We were offered to pay th check early so we could go and get to the show….but we hadn’t gotten all the orders yet! More than an hour after ordering …. With 15 minutes until the show at the paramount next store starts…AND WE ARE STILL MISSING AN ORDER! Yes the food is good but not worth this annoyance!!
Went out for a birthday dinner with my wife before a holiday show t the paramount theater we arrived at 6;30 quickly seated drink order taken then dinner order ! We did not get our dinner until 7;45 which the show next door was starting at 8 , something is not right here !they either need mor help in the kitchen or the wait staff needs to step up their game ! We read the reviews and gave them the benefit of the doubt we even ordered the pizza thinking it would be quicker but i guess that backfired ! Will not recommend this establishment !
