The food here is amazing. You can clearly tell its fresh and full of actual meat and not fluff or fillers. I had the sesame chicken and you can clearly taste the meat and not filler like some other local restaurants around Old Bethpage. My wife enjoys the food as well. She eats the beef and broccoli and loves the taste of the food. Even the soups are pretty solid which, and I don't know how, some people mess up???? Overall China Dragon is definitely a go to place even with the Pandemic hitting.
Food is one of the best in the area! I ordered some for dinner and food came out quick and hot.
China Dragon in Plainview: 10/10, no bathroom emergency required! I’ve had Chinese food that sent me sprinting to the throne faster than Usain Bolt. Not here. Everything was fresh, crispy, perfectly sauced, and—most importantly—stayed where it belonged (in my stomach, happily).
Excellent Chinese food! Very fast delivery service. Highly recommended.
I had an amazing experience here! Every single dish was absolutely delicious, I loved everything from the chicken to the noodles to the soup. The flavors were incredible, and the food was cooked to perfection. On top of that, the service was outstanding! The staff was so kind and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

I eat Chinese food once a year or so, and am from out of town, figured New York Chinese food will be better than NC. I was craving all the yummy appetizers. Food is in fact delicious, but OMG! The grease. I feel like everything was deep fried, even the scallion pancake was oozing oil, even after blotting the pieces with paper towels I feel like I was just eating fried dough with a side of oil. The shrimp toast was so saturated in oil that the flavor was almost completely swallowed by the oil, and honestly was even oiler than the pancake. Egg roll is much better, like it was precooked and then reheated when ordered, which was fine since it was less oily that way. The best thing was the dumplings, which were perfect. I feel like I just drank a glass of hot grease…. Maybe I will make better choices next time.
We’ve been part of this neighborhood for many years, and China Dragon has been one of our familiar go-to spots since the very beginning. When we first moved here, we tried several of their dishes – chicken with broccoli, sesame chicken, and a few others – all prepared fresh and full of flavor. Over the years, my absolute favorites have become their chicken corn soup and vegetable soup. Both are consistently delicious, with just the right balance of seasoning and generous portions. Whether it’s for a cozy night in or just when we’re craving something warm and comforting, these soups hit the spot every time. The service is always straightforward and friendly, and the food is ready quickly. It’s the kind of neighborhood Chinese takeout place you can count on for consistency and satisfying meals.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years. We’ve ordered food this year a few times and the taste has become bland. Just got chicken cashew nut today to give it a shot and it was tasteless. Very surprised. I wonder if the chef changed.
For 10+ years I’ve been ordering take-out from here, it has always been my favorite. I primarily order Hunan chicken. My experience used to be excellent, I’d say 4.5+ stars. The food used to be very hot, good spice, great umami flavor from the brown sauce and fresh crisp veggies. The rice was very soft and complemented the dish. Now, it is extremely average. The taste is very one note, monochromatic. The quality has declined while the prices have increased (understandable with inflation). I even have given it 3-4 more attempts but same result. I am seeking a different restaurant now. The staff I wouldn’t say are outwardly rude but they’re not happy to see or speak with you regarding your business. They yell and talk quickly on the phone and throw the food at you when you pick it up. Always have to ask for chopsticks. They also charge me $1-2 to add a sprinkle of peanuts into my dish. Not sure if they changed owners, food vendors and/or chefs but this place isn’t good now. In a middle-upper class town full of successful people who like Chinese food I’m sure they’ll be replaced soon. Step it up China Dragon, I hope you read this!

I've lived not even a quarter mile from here for the last 27 years. The food is good. That's not the problem. I've seen everyone that worked there over the years. And I'm just getting tired of service. Lady, I know you speak English. Seen you there for the last 25 years. You are not doing me a favor by serving me. I'm the customer and I'm paying. You can at least smile and say thank you. But you dont speak English, do you? You have a new female person there that I havent seen before as of 5/18/2023. Another unfriendly person. You all pretend that I and all customers are a burden. I see you all laughing and talking your language among each other. So you can be friendly among your own. But to your customers, you treat with disdain. Well, after 27 years of patronage, best wishes to you all. I will never be back.
I can only say that the food is great here. Other than that the people who work there are so rude. I was eating with a friend and they started to make so much noise. I could barely here her. You're better off doing take out then dine there.
I don’t know what happened to this place. A change in owners or chef? I’ve been ordering from this place for years & it used to be good. Tasty food loaded with fresh vegetables. This time I was sorely disappointed. The orange shrimp had zero orange flavor except for the handful of orange peel in it. Shrimp did not taste fresh. Broccoli was so over cooked it was like chewing rubber & there were only 6 pieces. Shrimp toast had shrimp tails in it & tasted like perfume, like someone touched it that had perfume or cologne on their hands. I hate when I spend my hard earned money on a special dinner for myself & it’s terrible. I will not return.
I've been going for 10 yrs and used to be very consistent for what we like. Today I got shrimp egg Foo young and it was so completely different and not for the better..little baby shrimp, falling apart pancake not egg dense and larger onions that were not soft. I will try a couple more of our favorites..hate to give up on them..we will see..new chef? New owners?

Food wasn't good.... it's average at best. Defiantly have had better in the area. On a Tuesday night at 8:30, it took them an hour to deliver a simple order. Won't be ordering again. Plainview, NY
I HAD TO GET A REFUND! I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice. My wings were old and refried. I never had chicken wings served to me within 5 minutes. I had old cooked veggies mixed with fresh veggies in my friend rice but half the peas were raw and the rest wrinkles and shriveled up. This restaurant should no be open for Business. I regret not reading the reviews sooner.
Absolutely disgusting. The young woman in the front (buck teeth) was sneezing all over the place. Didn’t bother to cover her nasty mouth. On top of that I saw her handling a big metal bowl of uncooked chicken after picking her nose and sneezing a few more times. I mean. Wow!
Too expensive and is not a real good food.
The food was all salt. Dry sweet n sour chicken, hard like a rock. The eggfoo young was unedible. $40 down the drain. So disappointed time and time again.
THERE WAS A FINGER NAIL ON MY FOOD!!! as an like someone cut his nails on the kitchen. SUPER SUPER GROSS 🤢 The women was very rude and said she didn't care about costumers or what costumers say about her... I guess she hasn't realize that with out costumers she wouldn't have a job.
I phoned in an order. When completed, I asked the price. It was about $42. When I arrived, she said from behind the counter $42.. I asked her for 15 duck sauce packets. The look on her face was priceless. Shocked, she began calculating a way to offset that request. She repeated, 15? I said yes, 15. When I went to pay, the price magically increased to $46. She was adamant when stating that she never said $42. Prices everywhere are out of control, but don’t rip me off over a few packs of sauce. Are you serious⁉️ Successful way to lose my business.
I was clear about my order, I could have been told that what I ordered only comes with white rice, instead they delivered what I didn't ask for. The food was substandard, rice smelled stale. They could have apologized, instead they said "the order only comes with white rice"! I ordered Chicken with cashew nuts, spicy, with pork fried rice...Instead I got chicken with stale cashew nuts, not spicy, and white rice. I gave 1 star, clearly didn't deserve it. But to be nice, I guess.
