Went there for the first time couple of days ago. Great service!! Got seated immediately and the waiter saw how me and my friends were muslim and told us by herself if she wants us to tell the chefs about no pork. They had respect for our religion and made great conversations with us as well. Amazing staff and food definitely recommend!

Beautiful restaurant with very friendly staff. I started with the French Onion Soup that would have been great except for there was too much bread in it. One piece would have been sufficient. The beet salad was very nice and a ‘meal size ‘ portion.

Overcoming Hurdles

I always wanted to try this place for brunch, but was on this side of town after work running errands. Since it was raining there was not a crowd and I sat at the bar. Shout out to Cameron, she was the absolute best! I ordered apps on the happy hour menu and it was still pouring so I decided to try the duck confit. It was just okay and she noticed I was in the mood of not bad. You know what that means it wasn’t good, but it wasn’t bad. Nonetheless, she supported my palette as I didn’t want to complain and I switched from duck to lamb. Those chops didn’t have a chance, they literally disappeared and all can you believe I made room for dessert? I tried the soufflé for the first time and ended up totally satisfied. Oh and I tried a couple of drinks too. Off with her head was my favorite - if you like a lavender foam drink (it’s like a cold brew, the boozy version, with lavender foam). If you don’t try it anyway :-) Thanks Cameron for giving me a rainbow 🌈 on a raining day!

My wife and I had date night and this was the perfect restaurant! Our waiter Fudge (no kidding) was the best. He greeted us with ice water and took our drink order. We both had martinis that were just perfect. We started with the octopus and steak tartare. Each was item was delightful. Then we shared the Mussels and frites which was delicious and plenty to share. We finished our wonderful meal with the chocolate soufflé which was to die for !

Great seafood, very fresh. They don’t have mackerel or mahi mahi. Bread was good and so were our appetizers. Live music on Sunday afternoon good entertainment.

Wow! Fantastic! Beautiful decor. We went for Valentine’s Day. Food was amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He suggested a wine that paired well with our food. Perfect date night spot. We will definitely be going back.

I’ll start with the positives: the atmosphere and vibes were top tier. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was both polite and attentive. It made for a perfect spot for my quarterly lunch with girlfriends. The live entertainment was an unexpected highlight. The gentleman performing was genuinely impressive, and his operatic number was phenomenal. It really elevated the whole experience. The cocktails were also amazing, the French 77 did not disappoint. The food, however, missed the mark for me. I ordered the Toulouse burger, and it was underwhelming. It lacked flavor, was cold when it arrived to the able, and just didn’t stand out. My friend had the chopped salad with salmon and loved it, so maybe I just picked the wrong dish. On a sweeter note, the Basque cheesecake was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back, but I’ll skip the burger next time.

Stopped by for after dinner dessert and cocktails. The restaurant was not very busy being closer to end of day so got a table without issue. Friendly and attentive staff. The creme brulee was very good and delicate as expected and drinks were good as well. Will be back for dinner.

All the vibes. The server was attentive and great! My French Toast was the best I’ve had since my mother. The Chanel drink was not good unfortunately, I did not taste alcohol at all. This place was gorgeous and girly and I like the fact they served brunch until 3pm. Piano bar and Entertainer was fabulous!

Tonight's visit for my mother's 76yo birthday dinner promised to be wonderful. We love Toulouse on Knox; she chose Toulouse Plano. It is gorgeously decorated (if a bit cramped, especially for the bar stools less than 2 feet from the booths behind. Drinks took about 10 minutes per round. After a warm welcome to our table, our server and staff in training were attentive, and server was knowledgeable - but again, 10-15 minutes for the next round of drinks to be served. Then a longer wait to order appetizers - the charcuterie board was beautiful. The server asked if we wanted to order entrees then, or give us a bit with the app - we replied yes, just a few minutes. We were done with the board and had empty drinks for 15-20 minutes by the time our server returned for our entree order. Others ordered steaks, and I knew I wanted the Trout Almandine. The waiter advised that it was his least favorite fish dish (said that it is overwhelmed by meuniere / brown butter sauce - this makes sense later) and recommended the Branzino - so I ordered that instead. It was more costly than a filet but was promised to be incredible. I considered ordering the MP Dover Sole - glad I didn't. When we finally received our entrees, the filets/strips looked nice, were thin, mostly cooked as ordered, but were incredibly salty - I heard other tables comment on overly salted dishes. Bearnaise sauce was watery and didn't taste at all of fresh tarragon. My up-sold Branzino / sea bass (which I expected to be 1"+ thick) arrived as a thin, dry, overcooked filet, with only a lemon half to dress it, and a cold swish of a celeriac or parsnip puree. I quietly asked for a sauce and a hot puree. The server came back with the aforementioned brown butter and said the puree is meant to be served room temperature so it wouldn't break, so wouldn't bring any more. WHAT?! Gordon Ramsey would react with disgust. If my husband and I had been alone, I would have sent it back completely - but this dinner was about my mother so of course I smiled and said everything was wonderful. Toulouse gifted my mom with a sparkler-adorned dessert, and we paid the live pianist to sing her Happy Birthday - so she was happy. This was my mom's annual gift to her family - so I was unable to see what she was actually charged. This is why we don't go out to dinners at new (or established places) for overpriced & sub-par food, and disappointing service. Please, if you have other suggestions in Dallas, I am open to them! We have tried so many high-priced steakhouses for my mom's annual dinner.

Beautifully appointed chick restaurant. Brunch on Sunday with some nice delicious sounded options. My scrambled eggs were ok but too cold. The potato’s were mushy and I really didn’t enjoy the taste. Even though I voiced my dislike to the server , nothing was done about it. And for the price … I was quite disappointed. Now the bread was amazing There was some background music played on the piano, that was very nice

We go to Toulouse at Knox very often. So we decided to try on legacy west… honestly pretty disappointed. My husband ordered the lobster risotto and it was so bland. No flavor. I ordered the ravioli and again pretty bland. I’m not sure if we are ever coming back. But the atmosphere was nice they had a pianist sand very well.

It was my first time visiting this place. I really liked the environment and the decor — the space is nicely designed and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food was okay overall. However, my friends and I had several issues with the service. We ordered a latte, but the one my friend received looked very messy and dirty. The cup had coffee spilled down the side, and the latte art was unclear. We asked for it to be exchanged, but they brought us an Americano instead, so we had to ask again for the correct drink. There were also other service problems. They delivered the wrong food to our table, and the cocktail I ordered was spilled on the table when it was served. Because of these service issues, unfortunately I don’t think I will come back.

We went to Toulouse Café and Bar in Plano for Valentine’s dinner, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The first thing we noticed was how uncomfortable the seating was. The chairs were genuinely uncomfortable, which is something I have never experienced at a restaurant before. It made it hard to relax and enjoy the evening. The only highlight of the night was our server. They were very nice, friendly, and attentive, and truly the only positive part of our experience. As for the food, it was underwhelming. We ordered the lobster tacos, and they were literally bite sized. I understand this is French fine dining and portions may be smaller, but the issue was not the size. It was the lack of flavor. The food was simply tasteless and needed much more seasoning and depth. For a special occasion dinner, we expected so much more. Overall, I would not recommend.

My daughter and her boyfriend have been there several times. They are 18 & 20 and though they are beginning their fine dining experience together I feel so disappointed for them. I have been a fan of Toulouse’s multiple locations and have dined here more times than I can count. It was their one year anniversary and they were really looking forward to their reservation tonight amid freezing rain and sleet. The reservation was booked early and the hostess sat them at a plastic colored table and stated they chose the table which is absolutely not true. They requested the smoked salmon appetizer which apparently is no longer on the menu and in its place brought a single piece of grilled salmon. I called and spoke to the manager Antonio and thought he would stop by the table and speak with them but to my disappointment he didn’t. No sparklers or happy anniversary on the plate though it was written in reservation notes and the waitress asked them if it was a special occasion. So disappointed with the Toulouse’s…😕
