Great spot up the road from Cerritos Beach. The quesadillas were incredible and they have great margaritas. Nice chill spot to hang out and listen to live music.

A must stop if you're in the Todos Santos, Cerritos, Pescadero area. Texan owned but Mexican ran. Large outdoor bar, with entertaining atmosphere. Band's, Sports, drinking game, like corne hole. Very near the Cerritos beach 🏖️ . Food and drinks reasonably priced and deliciously junkie, (perfect after a long day on the beach).

If you like chili get a bowl of their Texas Red chili. Some of the best I've eaten. A 10! The smash burger was excellent as well.

Shaka's is the center of the universe as far as I am concerned. I can't imagine anywhere that I would like to relax, eat a good meal, and meet great people at more than Shaka's. I hope my urn sits on a shelf above the bar someday and everyone toasts me "MARCOS" at Happy Hour!

I can't believe I flew all the way to the end of the Baja California peninsula to experience the best baked beans and buffalo wings in my life! Everything here was A+ including an incredible pulled pork. Even the Cobb salad was off the hook with perfectly crisp crumbled bacon.

Stopped in yesterday after side x siding. The food was amazing. The service was great. 4 of us had the fish and chips. A couple of people had burgers. Had a few tortilla soups. Best to show up hungry. Everything was excellent. Clean washrooms. And the cutest dog ever.

Such a Cool Place! There happened to be a Band Playing, when we popped in. Colorfully Dressed Customers were Dancing in the Sand, in front of the Stage! We actually got pics of the Sunset and Moon Rising out in the Courtyard, which is Super Cool, too!!

Solid spot in Cerritos beach that stays open later than other places, has plenty of sports ball on. The owner is from Texas I believe. The workers are all very nice and they have a good beer selection which can sometimes be challenging in other spots.

Great "American type" food! The owner has done a splendid job of decorating and providing the best food experience at Shaka's! We are here twice on our recent vacation. The atmosphere is fun, relaxing, and makes you feel at home. There is even a dish on the menu for dogs! Kid friendly, family friendly, and pup friendly! The food is excellent! We enjoyed both visits and will return when we return to Baja!

I love this place. Great food, great drinks, friendly staff and a terrific indoor/outdoor atmosphere. I love college football and Shaka’s is a college football Mecca. Next year I’m going to bring my school’s banner from the staff to hang there. Great place to watch games. At night it’s quite the party spot but very safe.

This eclectic, fun spot was our introduction to Cerritos Beach and when I say it did not disappoint, I mean before we even finished our meal we were making plans to return! There are both sunny and shady areas to sit, we chose the shady area and passed the coolest sunken bar on our way to a table next to a stage. There was no live music when we were there but apparently they have music often. The servers were very attentive, very knowledgeable and treated us like family from the moment we arrived. The food!!! Ahhh, the food! I had the Baja Fish taco, beer battered, on a corn tortilla and a California taco. I cannot say enough about the glorious experience eating this food was, I will remember it always, AMAZING!! The fish was yellow fish, a flaky white fish, lightly bettered and served in a fresh corn tortilla. The red cabbage salad and guacamole that is served with it were the perfect accompaniments to this symphony of flavors! I loved every bite! The Claiborne taco was flash fried avocado with the same red cabbage salad on a fresh corn tortilla and was very light and refreshing! Delicious! The margarita = perfection! The right balance of sweet and salty, just the right size and beautiful garnishes. Price was fair, as a family of 4 we ended up spending approximately $90 USD we all had our own full meal and 3 of the 4 had alcohol. If you find us back in Cerritos Beach, you’ll find us back at Shaka’s! 🤙

Great place in Cerritos to visit. The location is amazing. The layout of the restaurant is great from tables under the palapa or tables under the beautiful sky. Also has a space to lounge and play some outdoor games. Drinks and food are awesome. The staff is amazing and always take care of you like family. I love the love for dogs with a small menu for you pet. Walking distance to the beach and a few cute B&B’s too.

We has such a good time! The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the owner went around and visited every table to introduce themselves. The food was phenomenal, a mix of good ol tex-mex and authentic Mexican cuisine. The area is open to pups, and the menu even includes a healthy snack for your dogs. The live band was a local band from LaPaz, and did a wonderful job of covering 80s -90s rock classics in English and Spanish. Everything was clean and the food and drinks were reasonably priced. 5 people ate and had drinks for about $125 us dollars.

Ended up being one of our favorite local spots. We came here on a Thursday evening and caught the tail end of happy hour at 6 and we ended up staying til close at 12. The food was all delicious, I would recommend the chicken tortilla soup. What really got us was the incredibly friendly staff and owners. The group of owners and staff members and infectiously friendly and we ended up becoming great friends with them over our many hours here. Such a fun spot! They also do live music on the weekends and this is definitely the place to come for your lively local bar.

One of the highlights of our trip! The waiter spoke good English and was upfront about portion sizes for prices. I really wanted nachos by this point in our trip and he let me know that the portion was kind of small. I ordered them anyway and they were something like gourmet nachos with individual toppings on about 12 larger chips. We got the guac and chips which came in a large stone container. The coconut shrimp was excellent! The drinks were cheap and good. They played American football so we could watch the playoffs! We'll definitely go again!

Great service, amazing drinks, and friendly people everywhere. This is one of your BCS local bars. Food is ok, the fries are best around, fresh, local, and hand cut. Great salsa. They don't try to do what they shouldn't, so that's a good thing.

Me gustó el lugar sin embargo tengan mucho cuidado, a mi me golpearon el carro estacionado y por lo que estuve indagando es muy común que los golpeen y huyan, no hay cámaras al frente por lo que no hay forma de averiguar más, estacionen atrás sus carros si no hay lugar no se arriesguen

Very friendly staff and the huge palapa design is fabulous. They are Covid conscious and take temperature at the door and tables are well spaced. The alcohol menu was extensive with many choices, but not so much for the food. We both got the burger with hand cut fries but it didn't live up to what other reviews said. It was dry and not that tasty, which was disappointing. Maybe we got the chef on an off day. We've had other burgers in Pescadero and Todos Santos that were juicy and absolutely delicious. Also the prices for the quality of the food are on the high side. US$10 more than what we'd pay for a similar order in Pescadero. Haven't been to Shaka's yet for the live music but have heard it's great. Well behaved leashed dogs ok. They also got our 3 fur kids a water bowl. Fyi, they have their own dogs there that wander anout and like to say hi to all the guests. They're very friendly with lots of tail wags! Please leave a Like if you found this helpful.

Great atmosphere and set up. Food is just ok and a bit overpriced. But a nice little escape.

Guess we didn't visit on a good day. The cheese burger was a bit dry and overcooked, fries a little soft and oily. Super friendly English speaking staff and awesome atmosphere. Dogs on site are not leashed or managed. A bit annoying when you bring your own leashed pets as they come around and bark and want to play. We will visit again but for drinks only and we'll leave our pets home.

Un lugar chido, buen ambiente, gran servicio del personal. Bebidas bien heladas pero lo que ahora si les falló pero gacho fueron los nachos uno normalmente piensa en un plato lleno de totopos con quesos, salsa de bandera, frijoles y jalapeños. Los pedimos y llegaron 10 totopos con un pedazo de carne y unas cuantas verduritas. Las hamburguesas se ven buenas pero no he tenido el gusto de probar

La comida bastante regular, la comida tardo mas de una hora en llegar, deberian avisarte antes de pedirte la orden para que puedas decidir si esperas o no

Un lugar para gringos... Solo la hamburguesa vale la pena y un poco de buen wifi. Muchas más opciones cerca que son mejores. El lugar es visitado por los mismos gringos que vivien en el área recomendaría no ir a molestarlos a su taberna.

This place was super busy, which gave us (false) hope that it was good. The waitress warned us that the kitchen was busy, but two hours later we finally asked for our food to go as our son really needed to get home and lay down. The fried pickles (not pictured) were cold and the fryer oil tasted terrible. After our five minute drive back to our house, we opened the to go boxes to find the most mediocre, pedestrian food- simultaneously burned/overcooked and also somehow cold and soggy. 10/10 would recommend this place to someone I really dislike. Short of that, probably will never think of this place again. The place was cute though, and the location was excellent. So much potential.

Don't eat or drink here if cigarette smoke is bothersome to you or your group. We stopped in to watch a football game and it was pretty crowded so we took one of the few tables within view of a television. Ordered drinks and food and we were really enjoying the atmosphere...until. Until, the table of four upwind of us decided to start chain smoking...and they weren't even smoking as much as just letting them smolder. I didn't want to make a scene but asked our waitress why smoking was allowed in Shaka's when it isn't allowed by law in the rest of Mexico. She didn't have an answer but I think she asked them to minimize the smoke. They didn't. So, we choked down our food and drinks and left before the first quarter even ended. It all ended up for the good. We found a sports bar in Todos Santos with a really cool waiter and it wasn't that busy - it was almost like having our own private bar with bartender. Ducks won and it turned out okay although we all agreed we reeked of cigarette smoke even after several hours.

I’ve given Shaka’s multiple chances — this was my 3rd or 4th time — hoping for consistency. But this visit was a letdown. Food: Fish strips and fish and shrim tacos were bland — zero flavor, tasted lke shrimp was boild. Fries arrived soggy and limp. For a wood-fired cantina, that’s a miss. Service: Less than attentive. Kind of demanding server but slow to serve Would I go back? No. Date of visit: October 2025 Tip: Skip the fries. Skip it all together
