We had an amazing birthday dinner. The food was out of this world. We ordered lobster risotto, lamb rack, and foie gras. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was lovely restaurant was beautiful. Saved it for future visits to Playa del Carmen. 10/10 would recommend.

Just Me

We felt a bit rushed, the maitre d said we were late for our reservation and pushed us to order quickly. We thought we were early. It is a small restaurant and expensive so confirm your time so you don't feel rushed through a expensive meal. Despite the miscommunication, our meal was excellent. The food and flavors are unlike anything else I have had around Playa. French cuisine here is top notch, everything we had was fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend it. Call the restaurant directly to make reservations, the booking sites like open table are not accurate and have no availability. Outside seating was very pleasant and you can watch the kitchen preparing food through the window. It's not the most luxurious location, but the food is definitely worth going.

Wow Oh lala!! What a dinner we had last night! We were a table of 5 with a service dog and sat at the terrace, the weather was perfect just a little chilly but beautiful. From the moment we walked in they greeted us very kindly. We ordered several starters (maybe one too many) all of them came beautifully presented and really good, a cheese board with a tomato marmalade, a fig salad, a duck tacos, buratta salad all good! Then we ordered the main course, they have as a night special a lobster risotto that our friends order to share that was huge and good that they take the left overs home. Hubby order the octopus, my daughter the fillet mignon on wine sauce and I ordered a fungi trifoliate wow, wow all so delicious 😋 🤤 When dessert time came we were so full so we just ordered an apple tart and 2 tiramisu to share, also excellent! We highly recommend Oh lala for a special occasion, not cheap but you will impress you guests, the food, the presentation, the ambiance but most all the service is incredibly good, I regret not to remember the names of our waiters but I thanks them, they were nice even with Penelope the dog 🐕!

Came here with my partner for my birthday dinner. In summary, the food and service were fantastic. Alex served us tonight and he was so kind, and I greatly enjoyed our brief conversations about Playa, Mexican culture, and food in general. We ordered the scallop appetizer, salad, filet mignon with red wine sauce, beef tenderloin, and the Thai curry. My favorite dish was the scallops - perfectly cooked, excellent flavors, and beautiful presentation. The filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and also had an amazing char. Everything was delicious and Alex welcomed us so warmly, and I’m very happy that my partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday. I would love to come back and 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in Playa del Carmen!

As good as everyone says it is. Came for first seating on Friday at 7pm. I booked on OpenTable but apparently the reservation didn't show up on their tablet, but showed them my WhatsApp confirmation and no further issues. Food was great, salad, scallops, steak & foie, as well as octopus were delicious. Foie was cooked perfectly (aka semi-raw in the center. My only comments would be the sear on the scallops could have been better, and a little less vinegar dressing for the salad. But all in all still a 9/10 meal. All the staff were friendly and helpful, by far one of my best meals in the month we've been here. Prices were reasonable for what it was, and also the ambiance of the place was great (some of the photos you see on Google are from their old place, the spot is quaint and quite modern inside with a nice outdoor patio). Liked that it was sort of hidden away. Will definitely come back next time I'm in PDC.

Thank God for George because I didn’t like the food at Playa del Carmen until I started to eat at his restaurants!!! I had the garlic prawns and then the rack of lamb and both were phenomenal. The wine is great too. Amazing flavors! One of the best meals ever!! Even the complimentary bread with the herbed goat cheese was yummy!!

Best meal I had in Mexico for the past 10 days! Amazing service, presentation, and flavors. Every dish is delicious! Definitely a Michelin-level restaurant. Price would be 800-1200 pesos per person. Highly recommended.

We had a great meal at Oh lala! and had exceptional service all evening from our server Luis. Every course was excellent in both presentation and taste, with the only exception being that my lobster was slightly overcooked. And it was great value for money!

This was simply our best restaurant visit while in Playa Del Carmen. Quaint little restaurant situated in what appears to be an old house. The dishes were spectacular from a wide range of cuisine. The wine list was affordable and well selected. The service was delightful and we would definitely go back next time around!

The food is very beautifully presented, cocktails are great. The staff are very nice and friendly. Some dishes were outstanding and were worth the price, while flavors on some other dishes did not match well and seemed out of place. We had to be careful with mussel shells as some of them were broken.
