A friend and I get the lunch special from here frequently. The portions are so large that we share them (Me a 6' 2" 260 lb man, and my friend a 5' 6" thin woman) both get plenty to eat from just one lunch special order. The sides seem to vary with the lunch special you choose. Mainstays seem to be kimchi, pickled tofu, broccoli and bean sprouts with sesame oil (so tasty!) a few pieces of tempura, and a LOT of white rice. We've tried several of the specials. The marinated beef is delicious and has a slight sweetness to it. The spicy pork (dwe ji bul go ki) is our favorite. It's pretty spicy - not too spicy for me, but one of our other friends tried it and almost cried because it was too spicy for her. We've tried the short rib soup, the cabbage soup, and the tofu soup. All are good, but not in the same league as the spicy pork. And you get sooo much food! Can't recommend this place enough! If you like spicy, you owe it to yourself to try the spicy pork.
Dol sot ei bim bop was amazing. This is the most authentic Korean food I've had of all Korean restaurants I've been to in Texas & California. Everybody may want to go here to eat ASAP, as the owners are retiring in the end of January.
Ordered here just today. The food was amazing, very good, authentic. Thank you for staying open! I'm definitely coming back.
Delicious food! Big portions, authentic Korean flavors and a great casual ambiance. Truly a hidden gem in the heart of Pacheco.
Everything was great. Service fast, food hot and delicious. You will be very happy to have a chance to eat here, trust me.
Delicious food. New owners but still same great stuff. This is our favorite Korean place in the east bay.
One of the best in the area. Owners take pride in the quality of food served. 100% fabulous. A family favorite for our friends and family.
No one. Very cheap. Seniors should have priority especially the disable like me and my wife . You should issue your own disable placard that we can show to the checker on this pandemic time. Thank you.
The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Food tastes authentic. It's one of our family's favorite restaurants.
I almost dinged them on the atmosphere… but decided it was part of the allure and charm. For unpretentious experience, great food, and service (the kind that by your third visit they remember you and your order), this is the place for you.
This place is just amazing. Every dish I've tried is good. I usually stick to the hot tofu soup but the ribs were good! The staff is always awesome! I dropped a whole bowl of rice once and they didn't even look angry, they are the nicest and most welcoming people!
I would give this restaurant six stars if I could. We ordered the marinated rib-eye and the marinated chicken under the lunch special. It was fabulous! Generous portions with lots of sides. The service was excellent too. Can't wait to go back.
Great service, price and food. Thin sliced pork belly... wow. Only 1 person doing the orders and customer service. Decent amount of seats and parking is shared with others in this area.
As a Korean-American from LA, I can say that this spot met my expectations of authentic Korean food. And the owner Grace is the sweetest person ever!
Moa has a nice, homey atmosphere. The hostess is very kind and attentive, and the side dishes are all delicious. I think the lunch menu is very reasonably priced. Would definitely come again!
Really good food with very generous portions. Complimentary soup and mini savory pancake starts your meal. Wider than norm array of pickled dishes that accompnies Korean meals . Service was fast too! What more could you ask for....??!!
This is the only Korean restaurant I've found outside of San Francisco that has goonmandu, one of my favorite things to eat. Also, they have some of the best daegee bulgogi around. Excellent service. Never had an issue here.
Celebrating our parents' 61st anniversary at MOA restaurant. Our Pa loves K food! Food is delicious Service extra ordinary Pleasant and courteous staff Thank you for a wonderful meal.
One of my favorite korean places not just because of the food but the staff is very friendly every time i go there. They make me want to go back, and we love their food!
for $9 at lunch, you get a bunch of food. Service is fast and clean. and the food is flavorful. I always get the lunch special, which has soup and fried shrimp and veggies. It really is a great deal.
Amazing find! Had a quick lunch here the price was very reasonable (lunch special menu). The small dishes (complimentary appetisers) tasted very authentic and goes well with the rice. Would recommend anyone to come try authentic Korean food at good price!
MOA Korean BBQ - A Hidden Gem! I was just passing by and debating between Pho Saigon and this place😋but I’m so glad I chose MOA Korean BBQ! It’s a tiny store, but don’t let the size fool you😉the food is absolutely the BOMB! Every bite was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. It was my first time here, and I’m very pleased with the quality and taste. If you’re in the area and craving Korean BBQ, this spot is highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Food is AMAZING! Service is Excellent, staff are kind and habe great recommendations. Tempura shrimp MELTS in your mouth and has amazing flavor. Spicy Pork has great flavor and is seasoned perfect! Highly recommend to anyone passing through or in the area!!!
Delightful lunch experience. Plenty outdoor seating. Menus are well posted and ordering from lunch special was easy. Service was great. Ordered the spicy chicken and broiled mackerel. Both flavorful and served with rice and plenty sides. The fried fish fillet was most wonderful.. gentle crispy outside and moist inside. Paired with Shoju. Lovely discovery and going to be back.
This Korean BBQ 🍖 was so yummy 😋 the Kimchi is Fresh the customer service was amazing. 🤩. My son &Lola (grandma) always come here to eat after school 🏫. My son loves the Bolgi Beef 🥩 with 🍚 rice. I got the Kings fish 🐠 #7 , the food 🥘 is excellent here.
Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. We ordered the bibimbap and Daeji bulgoki. Food came out quickly. Everything tasted delicious. Meat was tender and portions were just right. We will be back again for our Korean food cravings. A plus was seeing the BTS banner in the back 🙂 #BTSARMY 💜🫰🫶🏼
Came here last week for a super early dinner. My mother had never had Korean before and I've only been twice so we took a minute to order. I settled on dumplings for us to share and bibimbap with beef for me. My mom and son shared their meal. Everything tasted good, the dumplings were amazing and I'd go back just for that. The bibimbap reminded me of bún so I don't know if I was supposed to eat it like I did but I just added the rice in and ate it out of the bowl. It tasted good regardless and I was able to bring my leftovers home for my husband. For the 3 of us it ended up being $42 and some change so it was about what I expected to spend. There seemed to be only one person working up front taking order and bringing food to the table. Apart from bringing us water, food, and our check, she didn't check in at all. We were the only people there for a while but as we were finishing up it was getting busy. Cute little place.
Delicious kalbi and rib eye steak slices tofu kimchi soup tempura prawns are not tempura just to be aware they are breaded fried prawns.
I think this restaurant is pretty good on Korean style. They are so kind and taste is good. Seafood pancake is great. Price is reasonable, too.
Great food. Service is spot on. Go try it out.

Took a friend for her birthday lunch to Moa, which was separately recommended to me by another friend familiar with my love for kalbi and banchan. It definitely measured up. My friend said she never had Korean before except for KoCups - right?! Since I'd been wanting to try Moa for a while it seemed like the perfect opportunity. We went for a midweek lunch and we got the fried mandoo, a kalbi lunch and a dolsot bibimbap. There was one person there - greeting/seating/taking orders/serving/cashing out.. Front of House one-woman-show. She was great! Very friendly and efficient and pleasant. Everything came out hot, sizzling and so very fast! The kalbi was tender and delicious and my friend polished off the bibimbap plus some of my kalbi and we went through 2 rounds of banchan. Food was wonderful! The restaurant is small but well-situated and clean. Restroom also clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere is relaxed and we had a really comfortable and leisurely meal. Location is really easy to find and get to, plus lots of free parking in the lot.
First time here and came for lunch and had the tofu soup. Just the right size for lunch. The soup was yummy and hot and the banchan was delicious. I ordered the bulgogi for my brother to go. It wad nice and hot when we left the restaurant and my brother said he liked it. The service was prompt and quick. Can't complain. I would come back and eat here again.
I did not go to the restaurant in person I order food from DoorDash. I order Binbipbap chicken. they packed up the food very well along with side dishes especially Kimchi my favorite. This is my first time ordering food from Moa Korean BBQ. Food is very tasty along with side dishes. I will have to come in person one day to check out the restaurant. very well done Thank you and i will be sure to drop in one night. I wanted to come in person today but it was rainning and I had to get ready for zoom meeting. I was craving for Korean food tonight so that why I order binbipbap for dinner. Kam Sa Hamnida (Thank You)
Really enjoyed coming here on a Friday for lunch. Was seated right away and given water. Ordered the pork dumpling, spicy pork, and short ribs. Everything was great.
Wow I love this place. The Banchan was plentiful and delicious. I had a lunch special which was prepared beautifully. Everything I had there absolutely hit the spot. I will drive an hour to come back to this place. The server was delightful and the restaurant is decorated in a cute Korean city style. Highly highly recommend!!!

Great korean food which I love. Prices are inflating. The atmosphere isn't great but it's my favorite Korean restaurant anyway.
Plain jane exterior belies the beauty of its cuisine. So, where do you eat after a doctor's appointment in Walnut Creek? You go out to Pleasant Hill to enjoy some Korean BBQ. Storefront says, "Go eat somewhere else" Food says, Yeah, you've come to the right place for Korean food". My wife orders Kalbi lunch and I have Bulgogi. Lots of side dishes that are traditional come out as an accompaniment to the main course like Kim chee, fish cake, daikon. The surprise side dish is chap jae, a clear noodle dish which is delicious. Main dish comes out and there is a superior amount of kalbi when comparing to other Korean restaurants. This place served eight pieces for a lunch combination which is at bare minimum two more pieces than other Korean restaurants. Bulgogi was juicy and tender and I shared the abundance of meat with my wife. That being done, there was a complete meal left over for our daughter to eat for her lunch 😋. All in all a very good experience with low prices and plenty of food. Cheers!
Ok Korean food spot w good lunch specials. Really liked the side dishes/banchan. Wouldn’t order the soup w beef and noodles again though as the broth had an odd flavor to it.
A good portion of food. The price is reasonable. People are friendly. They do check your vaccination proof if you want to dine in. It's a cozy spot. I went for lunch and no wait time.
All of the delicacies on our table were delicious. Excellent service. The ambiance was slightly lacking, – somewhat fast food in decor. The prices were a little higher than I expected. Overall, a very good meal.
As a Korean reviewing Korean restaurants, it is very important of how authentic the Korean food is and their tastes. The banchan was really good coming out with 9 different types. The meat section was also excellent, something you'll actually taste in Korea. However, it was the soups that felt a little bit odd, it was mostly because of what meat they used. For example, they used beef for kimchi jjigae where normally pork would be used and so on. But if they really used the right meat, I think it would actually feel Korean.
Food was overall good. The Spicy chicken wasn't really spicy and tasted like mole. The glass noodles were delicious. The Bimbimbap is very fresh, but odd that they weren't identical. Ordered 2 and they came with different items. They didn't provide any utensils.
Really nice, family owned, hard-working place that serves proper style Korean food. Dropped by on Monday (and yes, they do work on Monday unlike most of other places) and were pleasantly surprised by the speed of service, number of customers and quality of food. Affordable prices for a lunchtime were also a gig. Hot tea was served by the time we got seated, food started arriving 7 minutes after our order with the main course arriving in about 15 minutes of us being there. Great flavors of kimchi lid up our appetite for a deliciously spiced Soon tofu and Bulgoki, that we gladly shared. Replace might use some renovation, however, does serve the need very well. First time here, and hope not the last.
Good customer service although i didn't get my water refilled. Clean establishment. Had delicious Kal-bi for lunch.
Satisfied with the food! A little pricey for it’s location. Nice and friendly staff, clean place. We are not so hungry so me&bf just shared one order for $28! Happy😊

It was lunchtime on the 4th of July and all the other places I called were closed. This place happened to be open all day. Sure why not give it a try. It's a very small joint with very limited seating. Ordering take-out seems to be the way to go. The staff was really friendly. The food was good, but not the best. It wasn't bad, but just not very memorable. Was this review …?
This place was disappointing. Though the portion was large, the meat was not prepared well. The pieces of meat were small and in bits. Looked like I got the bottom of the barrel, which is entirely possible since I went in only 20 minutes before closing. In addition the meat had no charring on it like most Korean bbq I've had in the past. This was odd since I ordered broiled meat. Overall this was way overpriced and did not come through. I would not order there again.
Disappointed. Sliced ribeye was served lukewarm. The meat was not very fresh. Small dishes were mostly very sour. The table was greasy. The service was slow and the lady was too impatient to wait for us finishing our food. She eagerly put to-go containers and bill on our table when we were still working on our food. Overall not a pleasant experience.
