Opiniones de Beer Baron Pleasanton
It was a perfect sunny afternoon in the Pleasanton downtown & happy that we decided to stop by for a chilled beer at Beer Baron. The service was top notch & prompt. There was a wide variety of summer cocktails & beer to choose from. The hostess was very cordial & friendly. We enjoyed every moment we spent there. The food, the beer & the atmosphere were just superb. The location was also very convenient, just off the main street for a quaint afternoon for an engrossed & hearty conversation with a dear friend. Highly recommended.
Jason was our waiter,he was very attentive & kind. I went with Family & enjoyed a Delicious lunch & Drink. We were very satisfied.💯💖🥰 I returned on April 23rd 2025 & Asurah was our charming & Professional Bartender. I gave her 5*****Stars for Personal attention & Customer Service💯 with a Smile 🥰 Thanks Sincerely Sara💖
Really love this place. Came in from Dallas for business and a friend suggested to go here. Incredibly nice people and roughly 600 whiskeys……and the prices were great! It was Wednesday which is their day for 50% off whiskeys and tequilas at $15 or less for a 1 oz pour. Very knowledgeable whiskey people and you can try a lot of great whiskeys for a minimal amount of money. The prices were good before the 50% off. Food was good too. Nothing overly fancy but certainly tasty. Come hungry as the portions will fill you up and then some. Definitely coming back next time I am back in town. Thanks for the whiskey suggestions Clint! The Heaven Hill Grain to Glass and your private barrel from Old Forester were great choices.
Work get together got us all to Beer Baron. Parking wasn’t too bad find as the parking lot right behind can serve the purpose ( enforced 3 Hour parking from 9AM to 6PM). Checked in and got seated at the table by the window. We were a group of 3 when we got in and folks kept dropping in and we ended up being 7 in the group. This review would not be about the alcohol ( as I don’t consume it) rather is about the food and the ambience. The place was a bit slow when we got in though in no time it picked up pace. To begin with folks ordered alcohol and I happened to get a ginger ale. We started on the food side with an order of the Chipotle BBQ wings. Followed that up with an order of Nachos and another order of the wings though these would be half and half of chipotle bbq and buffalo Siracha sauce. I didn’t try the wings though I was told they were a 10 on 10 as far as taste and quality was concerned. The place kept getting busy and as well we started hearing someone by the corner strumming a guitar and singing country music which definitely added to the ambience. Been there for a while we ordered another set of Nachos times 2 and along with it a couple of vegan fries. The Nachos were a definite hit and they would be the first ones to be wiped clean from the table and we did end up ordering another one of those. The vegan fries were fresh and tasty as well. Did devour those as a group and I think we ended up repeating a couple of those as well. All in all great vibes great food and definitely should be in your list to sit and eat/drink there in case you happen to be around. Good times guaranteed!!
This place lived up to my expectations! The service is personalized, sophisticated yet noon pretentious; of you know your beer, bourbons and whiskeys, they can talk to all of it. But if you are new to it, they are nice and will spend time to explain their recommendations. The food was awesome and although some description of the restaurant mentioned Small plates, to my Canadian eye, those were perfectly sized plates. The fried cheese curds as an appetizer was a favorite in our group. This place is busy, so I would suggest you plan accordingly.
An elevated brew/whiskey pub right in the middle of downtown Pleasenton. The service was great and the food was pretty good as well. Considering how expensive it is to dine out today, it seemed like a fair value for the quality of food and their portion size you recieve. However, the one exception that we found was the devil eggs appetizer. Two eggs cut in half with somewhat intresting different toppings for $12.00, which doesn't seem like much of a value for what you get. We didn't find them all that special, so we will not order them again in the future.
This place kept getting recommended for food options in the Pleasanton Area. And I see why. We went on a Saturday around 7 pm. No reservations need. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor seating. They cleaned a table and we were seated promptly. Mike was our server and he was great. He recommended a Torpedo (which is on the secret menu) for Honey and the #12 Secret Swami’s IPA for me. Both were great drinks. We ordered wings as an appetizer with the chipotle bbq sauce on the side instead of. The sauce was a little spicy so if you're not into spices try it on the side. Honey has the Burger, (Mike's recommendation) and I had the chicken sandwich. Both were good. We had better burgers, but this burger was good. The duck fat fries are amazing. They are light and crispy and have a good flavor to them. Would recommend. We were looking at their brunch menu and saw they had breakfast tacos, chicken and waffles, and bottomless mimosas so we came back with friends the next weekend for brunch. And Mike was our server again. Mimosas were on point, they ran out of guava but the orange and pineapple were good. In my opinion, dinner was better than brunch. I had a breakfast burrito and it could use a little more flavor. Honey and a friend had the chicken and waffles and they said the same. Our last friend had a burger and came to the same conclusion as honey did for dinner. But the mimosas are truly bottomless and we had 3-4 each and felt good after. Mike was a great server and made the experience that much better.
Overall, the place is visually appealing. The food is average and expensive, and the draft beer wasn’t very good. The service definitely wasn’t the best—not rude, just very slow. I think the issue is that one waiter assumes the other has already taken care of you. Their advantage is that they close later than the surrounding bars. I went on a Thursday, and there was a guy playing his guitar. The music was really good Because of him, I'll give it 4 stars, otherwise it would be a solid 3.
Very pleasant place to dine in the downtown. Also provides a small place for disc post 10 pm. But this also means they will stop serving the food by 10. It gets cold post 6 pm so not roadside dinner can be inconvenient especially if you have kids or elderly people. Limited space for dine inside this kitchen bar. Overall a good place to hang out with friends.
Stopped by Beer Baron in Pleasanton recently. The beverage program is definitely the highlight here—the drinks were absolutely amazing and hit the spot. However, the food experience was mixed. We didn't order a huge meal, but decided to try the chicken wings. Despite looking good, they were disappointing—dry and just not up to the mark flavor-wise. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but based on the wings, I might stick to just drinks next time.
Awesome place, decorated beautifully! The waitress and baristas were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Everyone in my party (12+) got burnt food unfortunately. We personally will not be returning. Spent easily 300$ for food we only ate since we had drinks on the way.
Beer Baron Bar and Kitchen offers a well-rounded experience with a strong focus on quality. The food menu features a variety of delicious options, from hearty burgers to creative small plates, all made with fresh ingredients. The service is attentive and friendly, ensuring guests feel welcome and well taken care of. The ambience is cozy yet vibrant, with a laid-back atmosphere perfect for both casual nights out and lively gatherings. A great spot for craft beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike! Pictures include; Smoked Salmon Benedict ($19) Chorizo Omelette w Papas Bravas ($13) Bottomless Mimosa ($16) - we got one pitcher of OJ and one pitcher of grapefruit
The burger was excellent. Well cooked at medium and very flavorful. The fried chicken sandwich, on the other hand may as well have been jerky. It was hard to chew and my daughter couldn't get it down. She spit it out. Fish tacos were decent as well. The fries and cheese curds were good and decent, respectively. I don't even know how the chicken sandwich could leave the kitchen tbh. Totally soured my experience because I really wanted to like the place.
Service was absolutely awful. Had to seat ourselves, get our own menu, and walk up to the bar to order. No one came to our table. Had to get up and get refills of water ourselves. The wait staff was huddled together talking or outside smoking. Food wasn't tasty except the french fries. Took 20 minutes to get the check and they over charged us. I will not be returning even though they had a good selection of Bourbon/Whiskey and decent cocktails. Thoroughly disappointed!
I was excited to try this place for the first time, but now I’ll never come back. The host turned us away even though there were plenty of open tables. He said he couldn’t seat us and told us to come back in two hours with no option to wait or check back sooner. I read that other people have been treated the same way, and now I understand why the reviews are so low. I get that there might have been a special event, but it’s still unacceptable to turn away paying customers without any effort to accommodate. In this economy, turning away business is crazy. I’ve never experienced anything like this at any restaurant before. You guys really need to do better.
This review is purely for the service. Went on a Friday and it's pretty busy but that's not an excuse or a justification for horrible service! Waited for 40 minutes for ONE SINGLE sandwich. How do you keep your customers happy when you can't staff your restaurant appropriately for a Friday night? I understand that it's busy but 40 minutes for a sandwich is truly unacceptable. Would you want to wait for 40 minutes for a sandwich yourself!?!?
