We really loved that place. Very hidden but what a nice gem. Nice vibes for a casual lunch or dinner. Other places seem serving lesser and lesser fish. This had a good portion and yummy. Very dog friendly staff and outdoor seating. Awesome views on the rural harbour. We will come back, for everyone on the road this is absolutely worth the 2 min detour from PCH.
We stopped here for lunch while we were out riding the Pacific coast hwy. It is tucked back in off of the road a little bit, but it was so worth the stop! There is a pizza place, coffee place and some other things downstairs. There is a pier right there and a small beach area that is very nice as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, it was very clean and nice inside. The service was great and the food was fantastic! I had the prawn tacos and a drink, and friends had the New England clam chowder and the fish tacos. Everyone liked their food and was very happy with it. Highly recommend!
I am not sure if I had the normal dining experience here, but I would come back with slightly different expectations. When we walked up the deck with the outdoor seating, a lot of younger people in their 20’s was pretty much taking up the space, not so much physically but they were loud and probably did so to get the space to themselves. It was very much the “ you can’t sit with us” vibe. Came inside and you could only order at the counter, rushed through that and found a seat with the dinner crowd. I had ordered a clam chowder and it came out within 2 minutes of sitting. Chowder was 6/10 for me, not a lot of flavors and a little on the runny side. The actual meals were fantastic, my partner and I both were happy with the taste of the food. I had the Rockfish dish, and everything was seasoned exceptionally. My partner had the fish Tacos- same fish I believe. I am unsure if they did free soda refills, but it would have been nice if someone checked on us during the meal. I’m not sure if they have a regular table service, but I would come again knowing a little more casual then first anticipated.
Onion rings and clam chowder recommended by the lovely folks at the KOA. Well worth heading over for both, the fish & chips, and the rockfish poboys. Everything super yummy, great staff, and beautiful views. I can only walk away feeling so grateful—awesome.
Very friendly staff. Fantastic views of the cove. I'm still dreaming of the rockfish mini sandos.
We stopped for the ceviche. Especially since it was made with rockfish. And served with housemade pita chips. It was refreshing and delicious! Our table was next to the windows- and the Views outside window were an added nice touch. We would return!
Wow!! We stopped here on our road trip craving some good seafood with an ocean view and were not disappointed! The fried calamari was awesome and the fish tacos were the absolute best Ive ever had! Really nice atmosphere and fantastic staff!
Here is my unbiased review. My neighbor recommended checking out this new place, and since I was alone I decided to get the food to go. I ordered Fish and chips, the staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere inside the place was very romantic and relaxing. The food looked so good that I could not wait and started to eat it right on their lovely deck. [The beautiful view of Point Arena Pier does not need to be advertised :) ]. The waitress was very sincerely trying to check if I had everything I needed and was trying to offer me water or so, which I did not need. It seems that the owners and employees truly care about their customers! Food was really good as well! I will definitely come back here with my friends, and think everyone should try this new place in town.
Pier Place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by Frankie, the owner, who is not only incredibly accommodating but also so personable. She took the time to recommend local spots and made us feel truly special and connected to the area. Amanda was just as incredible—so friendly and welcoming. We also want to wish Amanda's daughter, Savannah, all the best as she heads to Santa Cruz for her studies! The menu is awesome, the oysters were perfectly shucked and absolutely divine. We also ordered ceviche which was super fresh and fish & chips and as a Brit… fully approve. Everything came out quickly and tasted SO good. Even though they use sake-based liquors, their cocktails were top-notch. We ended up staying longer than we planned because we just enjoyed chatting and learning about the area from the wonderful staff. We will 100% be back, and it's all thanks to Frankie and Amanda. Oh, and a little secret: ask Frankie about her pet-friendly Airbnbs in the area- we can't wait to bring our doggie next time
We came here based on the recommendation from the inn we were staying at and am so glad we went here! Holy cow! The view is truly stunning! We happened to make it 45 min before the sunset and it was by far the best view and sunset we’d ever seen at a restaurant (and we live in San Diego)! The food was great too. We had the raw oysters, sliders, and beef sando. All was delicious and very fresh. Even the lemons for our waters were fresh and not brown from being cut days ago. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.
Food is amazing!!! I got the chicken sando. The flavor was great and well-made. I recommend getting the Mac daddy oysters because they tasted fresh and delicious. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The view was beautiful and adds to your experience. Definitely recommend to anyone that’s in the area. I will be coming back!!! One of my new favorite places to eat
Local caught seafood 😋. Calamari with lemon and peppers were yummy! The best fish tacos I've ever had!!! Amazing crab cakes from freshly caught Dungeness crab. Great views and service was warm and friendly. Just what Arena Cove needed! Simply the best, freshest restaurant on the Mendonoma Coast! You've got to check this Place out!

Thanks Frankie, from your friends at Salmon Creek! The food was amazing, very grateful for the gluten free menu, we’ll be back soon!

old bar/restaurant by the pier with a great view. Grilled oysters & beers
Terrific, tasty (and big) grilled fish tacos. Go here for a taco and a beer and watch the waves. Counter order service, kind of a barn. and no liquor (the website says they have cocktails), but good beers on tap. Expect right and you'll be very pleased.
After a 5 hour drive to the hotel up the street, we weren’t wanting to drive more and decided to come to Pier Place! We got the fish and chips and veggie quesadillas! Beer on tap was very good and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back!
We’ve seen many iterations of restaurants in this location over the last 20+ years, and this is by far the best one! You order at the bar, and service is fast and excellent. Food accommodates a variety of diets. The fish or prawn tacos have delicious homemade corn tortillas. We went on a Friday night when there was fun live jazz - plenty of seating, and we could hear each other while also enjoying the music.
Omg I found it. Wow this place has down has best chesse sticks and claim chower on the westcoast highway 🛣 and the best view. Our 1000 mile journey on highway 1, was made the best trip because this place it made hours of driving worth it. It's simply the best experience plan to take a trip here! You won't regret it I promise. this place will forever hold your heart. I can feel the freeze ❤️🔥

Well located pub and restaurant upstairs at Point Arena Harbour. Good selection of food and beer. Excellent WiFi.. best we found in the area where there is generally no reception! An enjoyable late afternoon. Indoor and outdoor seating with great views.

Eh. Nothing was right but nothing was super wrong, just a blah experience when it came to the food and service. Had to search for someone to refill drinks. You pay before you sit and tip is asked for before being served. All food came out at once. Bizarre. Best part of the meal was French fries and oysters. Fried Fish- overcooked Fish tacos were just wrong, from Tortilla to toppings Calamari was good, but more other fried things than calamari

So... I wanted this place to be good but it just wasn't. We ordered the fish & chips. The portion size of the fish was bad. All bread and barley any fish. I had to peel off all the breading to even taste the fish. The breading was super dark and a weird batter. Like a corn dog batter but not. It was all bread and no fish really. Maybe the oil was old I'm not sure. It was hard and just not right. Super greasy too. The fries were good though. The cole slaw that came with the fish & chips was sour It could be they just used a lot of lemon in it which I'm not use to or it could have been sour. It definitely tasted funny to me. Just the whole concept of this place was off. It's a restaurant but not I guess. You have to go to the bar and order your food and drinks, then you pay and tip before you even see the food. It was very odd. The claim chowder comes in a Paper bowl. Which I have to say the clam chowder was ok not great but ok. I have had worse. We ate everything because we dont like to waste anything. The only good thing about this place was the drinks and the view. Just not a place I would eat at twice. I should have took pictures of the before but of course I forgot.

Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and things started off with smiles. Then came the dismal service and food delivery. They tell you the food comes out as it’s ready which is fine, but we didn’t realize that meant 10+ mins apart from the rest of the table with a child’s chicken tender taking more than 30mins to come to the table. I asked a server where my child’s order was and I was met with “sorry we are busy” while they meandered by taking a plate to another table. Then proceeded to walk by 3 or more times without ever giving me an update on my order. The food was basic at best and it was very clear the oil in the fryers in some time. We weren’t asking for the moon just not for each person to receive their food so far apart and making my 9yr old wait over 30mins for simple chicken tenders and fries. Will not be visiting this restaurant ever again.
