Brian or Bryan one of the managers is an absolute angel on earth. Had complications with app that ended up messing our order up and over charging us to the point our card locked. So to make sure our kids ate and enjoyed our vacation. He took care of the remainder of our order and made sure we were taken care of. Above and beyond. Very nice and was discreet to make sure we were not embarrassed. Employees like these make companies great! He could have gone another way with it but decided to be kind. Which in this world we live in is hard to find.
I have a regular Sonic in San Antonio that I visit daily for my Route 44 Diet Coke I went on a beach trip and of course found Sonic on the island...went every morning. It was a little bit more expensive even through the app but the lady there that greeted me every day was an absolute peach and friendly as can be. No complaints whatsoever! She also gave me a tip on what mile marker to go to so I could avoid a lot of the seaweed. Going back to the island next week and I will be there every morning again.

Playground is the nicest in port an and gated so that’s a win in my book. The seagulls will attack you for food if you so much as leave the table for a second. Keep the food in the bags and don’t let your kids take it to the playground. We learned that real quick. 🤣 it’s got a big shade but it doesn’t do much unless the sun is right above you. Other than the birds and shade, it’s a great spot to let the kids get their zoomies out that won’t end them getting sand in every crevice.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place wasn’t too crowded over the holiday weekend, which was a nice break from the hustle and bustle elsewhere. The concept is fun and has potential, but it did seem like they were a bit short-staffed, so service took a little while after we pressed the button to order. The team was doing their best, though, and we appreciated their effort. Our food unfortunately wasn’t as fresh as we’d hoped, the fries and burger patties were on the dry side, and the sodas didn’t have much flavor, possibly due to the syrup ratio being a bit off. With a little fine-tuning, this spot could be a great option, hopefully just an off day during a busy weekend!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Pulled up at 10pm on a Friday night — only one other car there. Took over 5 minutes just to get an answer at the stall. Ordered a #13… they were out of jalapeños. Switched it up and ordered Ched ‘R’ Peppers… they were out of ranch. Considering they’re one of the few places still serving food after 10 on the island, you’d think they’d keep the basics stocked. Service also not good. Disappointing experience.
This sonic was very disappointing. I ordered a chicken tender kids meal and the tenders were overcooked (borderline burnt) and they did not put the wacky pack toy for my child. The employee that took the order was not very friendly. I also ordered a shake that was not blended properly and asked them if they could remake it and they left out the toppings. The carhop was nice though. Again very disappointed.
I know island time is one thing, but sheesh... 40 minutes for 3 drinks during a slow hour. A staff of two of the slowest runners in my life and who knows how many more slower line cooks in the shop. Sorry sonic... get some new staff. Online orders were the cause of the 40 minute wait? "Sorry we've been getting slammed with online orders"? What? Not a good model for this type of location. Good luck y'all.
i’ve been here multiple times and every single time the service is terrible. the other week i decided to give them another shot, it took them 15 minutes to answer in the stall and took 40 minutes to get us our food, and it wasn’t even all of our stuff. i came here today and everything on the app was unavailable for some reason so once again i pressed the button. nothing. and i waited 15 minutes once agian. so if u like happiness dont waste your time here.
We've been sitting here for 1/2 an hour for 3 drinks, and when we stopped a server she looked like she couldn't be bothered in any capacity. She just shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know, I don't do that" The other sever also looked liked she could care less. As someone who's worked in service industry this is unacceptable. Mega disappointed.
Came on 7/20/25 around 5:30 and waited for about 25 min while red button was pushed for a response but no answer, so I decided to go thru drive thru instead since there was nobody in drive thru but also didnt get a response so I drove to window and saw employees looking at me but just looked away. I definitely won’t be back. My family loves sonic but this location won’t be getting our business. If we were not able to be served it’s one thing but not being acknowledged is another and that’s not ok. This world definitely needs more kindness.
Twice now, I have been to this sonic only to have to leave without getting service. The first time it took them forever to answer the call button, finally did, I ordered 2 chocolate shakes and then they never showed up with our food. We were there for 45 minutes. This time, pull up Waited approximately 15 minutes, they never answered the call button. The parking lot is always overcrowded, but I think it’s because nobody’s getting service.
The person taking the order couldn't keep it straight. Chicken strips so tough they could with stand a punch from a heavy weight boxer and not even be harmed. The popcorn chicken I think was twice fried . It all tasted of old grease . That includes the fries. Come on Sonic do better. I work hard for my money and would like to enjoy what I spend it on. In my opinion 22 dollars down the drain.
Bought a footlong chili dog. The price came out to $6.48. The server delivered the food and came back with $3.00 change. I went back to the server and he asked if I wanted the coins back. He said nothing personal but it was the policy of that store to keep the change. He returned the 52 cents. Should customers be OK with that?
I would like a refund too. This was SO bad. Had burgers that had obviously been cooked and sitting out for a VERY LONG TIME then cooked again when I ordered. Burgers were burned so bad they were crispy. These are not cheap burgers and I expected better.

Next time car hope came out in basketball short and slides on with no socks. I worked at sonic 7 years that NEVER should have been allowed to happen. And again today, I order a regular bacon egg and cheese burrito and it's the rolled into size of a golf ball then rolled into the foil, it looks like a damn ball not a burrito. I never leave reviews anywhere but something has to change with this store. It's terrible Ohh, and they never give you a receipt either so you cannot call the 1 800 number!
This sonic sucks. I do Uber and I always have to wait a long time to get the orders. Either they hire new people or shut this Sonic down. So unacceptable having to wait a long time to get food. Even just one item you have to wait at least an hour to get it. All it is just a bunch of kids working there, don’t even care about the customers, and probably just inside sitting on their phone when they should be doing their job
