Typically I get the ... idk what's it called but sushimi (chef choice) and the rice is always steller and the fish is perfect. The rice is steller and one of few places with Ramune. I dont think I've ever had a bad meal. Considering how seldom it is to find good sushi in general I feel lucky to have an exceptional sushi restaurant three blocks away from home.

Been going here for years. Food is always delicious and fresh tasting. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to give great service.

Great sushi and friendly staff make this a wonderful place to eat. Their fish is of the highest quality, and comes at a generous price. I recommend the Greensleeves roll.

I love Tokyo Express! I ordered the Maki Combo Set: B and a side of fried rice. From the A+B+C, I chose the salmon roll and dragon roll. I have had other lunch specials and dishes which were also very delicious. Theres plenty for anyone! The boba teas are also very good, and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere of this cute, tiny restaurant is not overwhelming; it's very comfortable and sets a perfect vibe. I highly recommend it. I’ve recently had the Special Lobster Roll, Sushi Deluxe, and hot pot with udon noodles which were all very delicious I recently ordered the Tempura udon hot pot! Very delicious

Their location is very close to Vassar College, so we dined with kids at this restaurant every time we visit the school. And they named sushi rolls with very interesting names. But it’s hard for me to tell what kind of fishes or ingredients by just looking at the pictures( Vassar roll?). Make sure you ask them to clarify.

I've also been happy with their COVID protocols throughout the pandemic -- they were one of the few places we felt really comfortable getting takeout from at the heights of the pandemic because of the contactless pickup window.

This place is the best ! It’s more fresher to me compared to sushi village I always get the spicy tuna roll and extra extra mayo lol ! I just wish they’ll give more of the wasabi and ginger on the side 😅 also their salads are sooo good with the ginger dressing! Worth the money !

The salmon roll had 6 pieces, and in other restaurants two pieces could equal the size of each of these pieces. The boba tea was delicious and reasonably priced. Our server seemed overwhelmed with assembling to go orders, but immediately brought the check when I flagged her down.

Teriyaki is good - For chicken it is 2 large thin cutlets lightly breaded and fried. For the steak and shrimp - 5 jumbo shrimp lightly breaded and fried and a large thin strip steak. They come with sauteed onions and a couple pieces of carrot and broccoli I liked the miso soup. It has a lot of seaweed and tofu in it. Curry was good, but not what I was expecting.  It is like the yellow/turmeric curry flavors for Singapore Mai fun rather than a thicker brown gravy curry. Daily green vegetables, sauteed rounded out the meal well. 123 express meal is a bento box. The spicy salad was good - I think is just a avocado salad but with a slightly spicy dressing. For the chicken teriyaki it is one cutlet. For the gyoza I got five gyoza. Or you can get five Shumai. Seaweed salad was a good quantity too (Back in 2021, not sure if still the case) Very contactless if you do pickup - full barrier and there is a small slot in the window to pass money/receipt.

Sushi was great as always, but with a boat for two we were given one soup and one salad. In our past visits , two of each were served with a boat for two. I can understand either / or, but not one of each. Anyway, seems to be a cutback from our previous experience. .

We’ve been going there for years. Unfortunately as they grow, they get sloppy. After we ate dinner there some nights ago, we were still at the table when we both started feeling nauseous. We weren’t sick for months before we arrived at the restaurant. By the time we got home, my husband who ate most of my dinner, was throwing up violently. I felt the same but instead it was “another end” things going quickly out. Diarrrehia , for over 5 days. Husband was sicker for days with the same and a very high fever. The only place we ate that day was here. Nor were we ill beforehand. I’m disappointed, to say the least. It was very special to us. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Mozt bizarre ordering experience, almost as if they had never taken a to-go order. After fifteen minutes of spelling out my order and address, "oh ba way, we only accept cash"... forrrrrrrget it.

The worst service I ever seen... especially the lady serving on the window.. very rude.. waiting time is to long.. if they told you few mnts that means 20 mnts... there English s so bad..

The tip had already been added to the bill, I was not informed of this, but luckily I went over it. When I gave them my card and didn't add a tip to the receipt (since it was already included), I was treated nastily by the waitress as if I hadn't tipped. Clearly a rip off. There are sushi places that are just as good and more affordable in the area.

It is so scammy and I do not recommend going here. There are many better sushi options in Poughkeepsie, I recommend going to Ginza Sushi or Tomo.
