There are no bathrooms, they are latrines. The shower is outdoors, and they force you to buy your own food for some services, and then they don't give them to you, they charge you separately. I didn't like it.

We went for the day and had great service. Peter spoke great English, a good sense of humor, and very friendly. We had fish sautéed with fries and a salad. Really Really good but then around 3 we ordered garlic shrimp. No so bueno. Rice was cold the fries I think came off someone's left overs and the shrimp were soft, weird texture and not be-vained.

Al llegar a la playa nos empezo a abordar el Sr. Roberto muy agradable mostrandonos su menú y lo servicios que ofrecía, la renta de sombrilla y camastros era de $1000°° por el día, también estaba la opción que te daban camastros y sombrilla todo el día "gratis" en la compra de un platillo por persona; a lo que nosotros elegimos esta segunda opción. Nosotros llevábamos hilera con bebidas y botanas, a lo que no hubo ningún problema ya que desde el inicio preguntamos si podíamos consumir cosas externas a su negocio y el Sr. dijo que no habia problema. Pasado una hora que llegamos Sr. Roberto comenzó a ser muy insistente en ibamos a ordenar del menú y a que hora queríamos comer (Según el para que no estuviéramos esperando, por que luego se les juntaba la gente, ni tenía gente 🙄 aquí sospechamos que habíamos elegido el lugar equivocado pero pues decidimos darle el voto de confianza). Todo iba muy bien hasta la hora de la comida, nos llaman para decirnos que ya esta lista nuestra mesa, la comida estaba buena, las porciones regulares, pedimos bebidas entre ellas una jarra de agua de sabor que por cierto sólo tenían de jamaica nos habían dicho que era de 2l y en realidad nos dieron una de 1½. Al momento de terminar los alimentos preguntamos por la cuenta si debíamos pagarla en ese momento o al retirarnos, a lo que nos dijo que como quisiéramos que no tenían problema. Optamos por pagar en ese momento, nos llevaron una nota toda pedorra desglosando lo que ordenamos e incluyendo su "propina opcional" (así decía), de propina nos cobraron más del 10% (que sería el mínimo) de lo consumido a lo que cuestionamos al Sr. Roberto en ese momento el cambio su actitud y se puso en un plan muy pesado y haciendo caras, para no entrar más en conflicto pagamos, pero a partir de ese momento el trato fue muy grosero y había un ambiente hostil. NO RECOMIENDO NADA "EL TORTUGO" Por culpa de este tipo lugares tan abusivos, uno ya no quiere consumir lo local 😔

• Comida: porciones regulares, costos elevados. • Servicio: al principio amable y accesible después se olvidan de la cordialidad cuando pides la cuenta. En mi caso 👀 ~Al llegar a la playa el Sr. Roberto se acercó y muy amable y nos ofreció 2 camastros y 1 sombrilla por $1000.00, al ser varias personas nos ofreció 4 camastros, la sombrilla y 3 sillas de plástico sin consto SIEMPRE Y CUANDO NUESTRO CONSUMO FUERA DE UN PLATILLO POR PERSONA (los platillos van de $280.00 a $800.00). ~ Después de un rato de estadía, se nos comenzó a presionar con el consumo de alimentos porque según el Sr. tenían mucha gente y ya comenzaban a apartar horarios para comer (cosa que no era cierto pues tenían muchos camastros disponibles). ~ A la hora de comer se nos llamó para ir a las mesas, aunque en un principio se nos comentó que nos podían acercar las cosas hasta donde estaban los camastros... ~ Al terminar de comer pregúntamos si teníamos que pagar en ese momento o hasta que nos fuéramos del lugar y el Sr. Roberto dijo que como quisiéramos. Así que decidimos pagar en el momento y pedimos una nota (para ver el desglose de los costos) y fue ahí cuando el Sr. se molestó y cambió su actitud, tardó en llevar la nota y cuando la revisamos NOS ESTABAN COBRANDO LA PROPINA! (al rededor del 20%) Si tienen oportunidad de estar en esta zona, eviten ir al establecimiento "El Tortugo". ~ A mi parecer lo único bueno es que tienen un poco de conciencia ambiental y que el baño es ecológico (arena y cal) ~ ✌🏻 ● NOTA: Si quieren comer rico y nada caro aunque fuera de la playa les recomiendo ir con la Sra. Rosita. Su comedor se encuentra a unos 15 minutos caminando de Playa Manzanillo y según Google Maps está ubicado en: 143 Calle 2a. Pte. La gente ahí es muy amable 🤍 Te dejan usar la regadera y además nos regalron muchos mangos

Solo se salva la comida que esta aceptable, en lo demás la persona que nos atendió (Roberto) es muy grosera, y al pedir la cuenta te cobra la propina a fuerza *(la mete en la cuenta como un alimento más) si pueden eviten ese lugar.

A very bad experience overall. Poor facilities, expensive food and drinks, and small portions, and the taste wasn't anything special either. However, in my case, the worst part was the service. Initially, they told you they had Wi-Fi and you could pay by bank transfer. So (a mistake on my part) I trusted them. When it came time to pay, it turned out that "the Wi-Fi wasn't working" and there was no signal from the phone companies there either (I hadn't noticed because I spent the hours there enjoying the beach). I approached them to ask about an option to make the payment, to which they rudely replied that it was my problem and that's why they had given me that information from the start (which wasn't the case). Fortunately, my bill was exactly what I had in cash (and I even included the tip they wrote on the bill), risking finding a more accommodating taxi to get back to my accommodation. As a tip, if you are in a similar situation, go up the stairs to go outside and see if there is a cell phone signal, so someone can go to that point (not too far) to make the transfer and return to give you the proof of payment.

Terrible place, their bathrooms are latrines and they don't have showers, and their service is poor, they are very despotic and rude, and the food tastes bad. I highly recommend the Los Buzos restaurant. The service is very good there and everything is excellent.

Please don't fall for these places. I hadn't bothered to check maps and see the bad reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The food is extremely expensive and the portions are very small. They treat you as if they're doing you a favor; they didn't have half of what was shown on the menu. They force you to eat one dish for the use of the lounge chairs, first telling you to pull up a chair and say you can eat there, and then forcing you to go to the tables for your dish. They don't respect the seating; if they don't see you, they'll sell it as if it's free. The bathrooms are not to be mentioned. Be careful what they sell you when you get in at the beach entrance. In general, all the businesses have bad reviews. Lucky me, I wasn't intimidated and scammed like some other locals. It's better to bring your own umbrella or go to Playa Carrizalillo.

They try to control your spending, and not in a very pleasant way. The food is bad, the portions are small, and it's expensive compared to what you get. This is the same at every place on the beach. You're better off waiting a bit and going to Comedor Reyna; you can't go wrong there.

The worst experience. Dirty, abusive, and rude. They tried to take advantage of us when it was time to settle the bill. They ended up threatening my family, telling them to be careful because they weren't from the area. A gem! Any other option in the area is infinitely superior. Don't waste your time or put your family at risk.

We were there during our visit to Puerto Escondido. They tricked us into thinking we were tourists. Very sad and disappointing. We don't recommend it, and if you do go, we recommend you go with four eyes open so you don't get scammed! Very bad!
