Opiniones de Bar 212 Queens
The staff was really nice, it wasn’t that busy but I was here at 9 in the morning. I had espresso Martini which was their most popular drink and really enjoyed it. I also ordered avocado toast with bacon, it looked different from what I expected avocado toast to be but still tasted good regardless. It was a bit disappointing that they didn’t have fruit or wheat toast to add to my avocado toast though

Over priced drinks and terrible service. I had to wave down the bar tender to help their customers.Only one bartender was holding customers credit cards which no airport restaurant does. Terrible for out of state travelers to forget their cards. Really bad business practice! Miranda was not helpful and most were annoyed with here service. As a frequent business traveler, I will not be coming to this restaurant again.

More the fool, me, for expecting anything exceptional from an airport establishment. One order of wings took over 20 minutes to arrive. Advertised as Chipotle BBQ wings, they were plain, unseasoned, with sauce on the side and watered down ranch. Beer was fine. Prices are NOT good for what you get, even considering needless airport markup.

The long wait was ridiculously horrible. I had the worst Belgian waffle I've ever had. It was like bread crumbs soaked in oil. I asked for turkey bacon and got pork bacon. When I scanned and paid with the QR code I didnt get any food until I chased someone down to ask about the wait and they placed my order at that time. I took 2 bites and left the entire plate. It was disgusting. Just collapsed in the fork. I waited 30 minutes for food I couldn't even eat and I agree, the staff could care less about the wait or their neglectful service.
If I could give less starts I would. Server blatantly ignored me and then when I asked for a Togo bag he said they didn’t have any which I thought was weird. Then I asked the other server and he said yes we do and called over the previous rude server and then he said “I told you already we didn’t have any” if you hate ur job just quit. How can a restaurant not have Togo bags. Lazy and rude. This was the Man. If you are looking to relax and have some nice service DO NOT choose this place!!!!!
5 beers cost $100 that’s highway robbery. Even for an airport. Idk why people put up with it. There are no prices on the menus either. Whole thing is a scam. Barman was cool but these prices are next level stealing.
I do it to myself. You really should read reviews before you sit down and order. This place needs to shut down and give the space to a restaurant owner that would truly appreciate the business and do the right thing. The Cuban bread was as hard as a rock and maybe if that, 2 ounces of Au Jous dip. The chips were soggy. I had to seat myself, and I was waited on AFTER people who came in after me. The cultural bias of some people just blows my mind. Don’t waste your money.
Here’s the “Nashville hot chicken” $30 for this and a soda - and have to BEG for a refil on a Pepsi.
Age discrimination: didn't serve me after seeing my id and was very rude to us. "He looks drunk" didn't have 1 drink. The server (long black hair) was going to serve my friend but not me. Avoid this place and find another bar close to your gate!
Roberto was very rude which leads me to believe the service here is subpar -- I stopped in for a drink, and after a short conversation in which he demanded $3.00 for ice in my drink, I decided to spend my money at a different airport bar. ps. Irwin Coffee down the way doesn't charge for ice and has way friendlier staff!

TL;DR - SLOW!!! Do not stop here for a quick bite if you have a flight to catch. Staff does not care. Waited quite awhile at the host station while at least 4 employees including someone who appeared to be a manager made eye contact and then went about their business. I finally asked a nearby customer who said they told her to seat herself. So I did. There is a QR code on the table that says “scan to order and pay”. I watched someone else order this way and the manager come out with the ticket to an employee who crumpled it and said “I told him not to order that way”. The manager pointed to me and said “make sure you tell her”. Having read other reviews (after it was too late) it appears the QR code has been “broken” for months if not years. Seems like something to fix when the whole point is to get people to their flights on time. Anyhoo… The other customer chose not to order through the staff citing his flight was boarding soon and he couldn’t wait any longer. My flight wasn’t boarding for an hour so I stuck it out cuz I was hungry and the only other restaurant in the area is Mexican - I’m from AZ, I’ve had my fill. The server did tell me not to use the QR code while giving me a menu. He came back a few minutes later to take my order. As of writing this review, I had been in the restaurant for almost 40 minutes, I have my drink but no food. The staff is in no hurry. This is NOT where you want to grab a bite if you have a flight to catch. Update: Food arrived around the 45 minute mark. I haven’t seen my server since and efforts to flag down an employee are being ignored. So I’ve been here over an hour, ate half of my dry, flavorless sandwich (would have asked for salt/condiments if given the chance). My flight starts boarding in 15 minutes and I may be forced to dine and dash cuz I’m not missing it.
CFA can make a better sandwich for a small fraction of the cost. Seemed like an elevated airport restaurant/ bar. Saw the picture of the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and decided I wanted it. The whole process of ordering was honestly kinda clunky. Service with the actual people was fine today. I was in a rush so I didn’t open my food container until I sat down on the plane. The meat looked like it was the size of a McChicken and had a similar breading texture on the it. There was a mere dribble of the hot chicken sauce on the top center of the chicken and over all paled in comparison to what must have been a generic chicken sandwich photo. It came with chips that were pretty good but $25 before the tip is robbery. Wish I had taken a photo of it.
Worst atmosphere. I waited over 20 min for a drink that was ordered and the bar wasn't full. The drink was pre-purchased. I asked for a refund because I needed the board. The bartender told me she couldn't do that and she could give me a to-go cup for the plane... this is illegal! Filed a complaint with the online company and no response or refund. Maybe I should just file my concern with the state liquor license board
I should have read the reviews. Payed 33 dollars for a tiny flatbread pizza that was nasty and literally made my stomach hurt and sprite that was watered down, which they charge $5.60 for by the way. I wish I would have read the reviews. This place should be closed down. Literally the biggest scam.
Was walking around the terminal looking for someplace that had a good fried chicken sandwich and sold beer. Saw a beautiful picture of a fried chicken sandwich on the wall behind the bar and immediately sat down to order. Got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and not only did it not look anything like the picture but it was probably the worst chicken sandwich I've had in my life. The included chips were even terrible also. Overfried and saltless. This is an airport so the terrible price is expected. Avoid unless you are just getting beer. That was fine.
Do not eat here. It looked like a nice place. My fiance and I wanted something a bit more than a sandwich from a side shop so we decided to try this place while waiting for our flight. We made the wrong decision. First, the scan to order tags apparently didn't work. Meaning they wouldn't put in your order but they would take your money. We weren't told this by the server until after we were getting prepared to order and the woman sitting beside us warned us that she made an order and they didn't have what she ordered at all - and still took her money. A lot of people eat at these places, so we assumed it was just a fluke, and put in our order with the waiter. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. What came out was LESS than the quality of something you would buy at a corner shop from the airport. We ordered a hot italian panini - what came out was inedible with one slice of meat and cheese. The bread wasn't toasted fully and yet it was hard as a rock. The cheese barely covered one half of the bread and was melted over one slice of pizza pepperoni. There were no condiments. The chips were burnt with no flavor. We tried to get the waiters attention. We could not. He was also ignoring others who were trying to order. My fiance waited by the bar, made eye contact with the server while holding our untouched plates and he walked away. We waited another 15 minutes before preparing to pack up our stuff. This is when he finally approached us and we told him the situation. He seemed angry and yelled "You pay for your drinks" as if we hadn't already tried and waited. We don't normally write bad reviews. We're honestly really relaxed when we go out to eat and there have been plenty of times that we've just sucked it up when we got a bad order. But we could not ignore it this time. We paid 10 dollars for two sodas and left. We would have spent almost 35 per person for food worse than a dollar hotdog at sheetz. All I have to say is: don't make the same mistake we did by trying this place. Go to NY Creperie and get way better service, smiles, and a much better sandwich for less than half the price.
It’s both telling and appalling that I rated the atmosphere of this airport bar as the best aspect of this establishment (two stars compared to the one star for both food and service). I sat down at a table, scanned the QR code as instructed, ordered two drinks, and paid. And then, I waited. Ten minutes. Twenty minutes. Thirty minutes. Only at this point, when I received a text that said if I didn’t close out my tab, a 20% gratuity would be automatically added, did I wave down the server. She was the only one staffed in the entire large seating area, which is a sign of poor management. She was very kind and apologized for the lack of service, and promptly returned with our drinks. However, I did not receive the Bloody Mary I had paid for; I received the standard one while I had paid extra for one with additional garnishes. I rarely, if ever, leave restaurant/bar reviews. However, I made an exception for this establishment as to warn others of the peril you are putting yourself in by being here. A $60 tab for 2 drinks (wine and a Bloody Mary) with tax and tip is appalling for both the quality of the food and service here. I understand this may seem to be a harsh review for a bar at LaGuardia airport, but I’d rather be sober at the OLD LaGuardia airport than experience another drink at Bar 212.
Food was really bad. I mean REALLY bad. I got the chili and I wish they would have just given me canned chili from the grocery store because their own version was SO bad. At least the can is ~2 cups of chili because the portion was also tiny. I ended up paying ~$40 for my “chili” and a glass draft beer. I don’t understand how some people are giving this place 5 stars. Avoid at all costs.
Asked if they had hot water so I can prepare baby formula, they said they don't have it. In the middle of the bar is the hot water machine. Are you kidding me? I didn't even ask it for free, id pay for it, but they decided to lie instead. With all the 1 star reviews, looks like neither the airport, nor management cares and it's pretty appalling.
Menu stated15.00 a glass wine. Was billed 24.00. Didn’t notice until I looked at receipt the next day. (June 2025) There is no way to contact the restaurant hence I tried my credit card company to challenge the overcharges to no avail. So I am warning others of their billing tactics! You’ll never see me there again.

My wife paid 13 dollars via their mobile menu for a drink, but never received it after waiting the best part of an hour and asking twice before we had to leave for our flight. We also asked for a refund via their feedback form and haven't heard anything days later.
