Compared to the other cafes in the area, this was my best option. It closes late, or rather, it's the last one to close on the main street. I ordered a mocha, and it wasn't bad at all. The owner isn't Mexican, and although he seems somewhat serious, he was never rude. Perhaps that could be mistaken for a bad attitude if you expect him to serve you with a smile and chat, which isn't going to happen because it's clear he doesn't yet speak Spanish fluently. That doesn't detract from how nice and welcoming the place is, nor from his courtesy when serving your order. If I visit Real de Catorce again, this cafe will be my go-to spot.

Paramos porque teníamos 45 minutos antes de un tour, para tomar un café y tardaron como 30 minutos en antendernos (no había mucha gente), después de eso decidimos pedir para llevar y nos dijeron que tenía costo extra para al final decirnos que no tenían desechables, y no pudimos consumir nada ):

La comida está rica pero no tienen mucha variedad más bien es para bebidas, los meseros no atienden bien, les tienes que hablar para estar pidiendo y si no ellos adentro todo el tiempo, el lugar está pequeño

I visited this place recently, and it's a nice spot, but I feel like they're understaffed since most of the empty tables were dirty. I ordered a cappuccino to go, and the price was very high for what you get. When I received it, I mentioned that the size was very small, and they told me they were out of the large cups. Honestly, if they had told me the size, I wouldn't have bought it. The quality isn't good; the coffee is roasted and tastes burnt, so it wasn't a tasty coffee at all. I definitely wouldn't go back.

The coffee tasted mediocre, with too much milk which masked the flavor, and the coffee itself felt burnt more than usual. The quality/quantity/price ratio is poor; the price is significantly higher due to the type of milk, without any improvement in quality or quantity. The atmosphere wasn't very pleasant, the service left much to be desired. We called the girl who works there several times and asked about the menu, but she didn't answer. The coffee was disappointing for the price, the bathroom was dirty, there was no water, and the light was difficult to access.

The lunches are good (scrambled eggs with ham), and the coffee is good too. We just found it a little expensive for what they offer, and the service was a bit slow considering there was only one other couple there. I'd recommend it for just a coffee and bread.

The place is very pretty, so from the outside it looks like a great place to have a coffee. The downside is that the food wasn't the best. We ordered a molletes (a type of bread roll), and the beans were too salty to eat (we ordered a vegetarian omelet, and the beans on the side were also oversalted), and the coffee we received was burnt. We ordered a pie, and it turned out to be the best part of the evening. Although the staff was friendly and the place looked cozy, the poor food didn't enhance the experience.

Pésimo servicio ,el señor es muy grosero

So, I recently traveled in from out the country to SLP. I had seen on Google that this place looked delicious, and when walking by I decided to check it out. The roads are not the best and I twisted my ankle. Before going in, I sat down on their ledge for just a minute. The owner came out and said to please leave and not to sit on the ledge. I explained that I was about to go in and they mentioned either come in now or get up from the ledge. I apologized and I tried to explain but he said it didn’t look good to please exit out the sidewalk/ledge. I do look very young, and I think he probably thought I was just some random kid. Regardless, I was extremely disappointed with my interaction. It was very distasteful, and in a way judgy. Save your time.

I went in alone to request a bathroom for a 6-year-old boy, and the owner told me it was for customers only. Despite my comment that I would pay to use the restroom, he refused. I don't see the "Mexican charm" because a small child wouldn't be denied access to the bathroom.

Terrible service. When we got a table, it took them 20-30 minutes to take our order (even though they saw us coming in), and not to mention the moment we actually ordered. It easily took another 40 minutes to serve us, just until we insisted on whether our order was ready. As a side note, two groups of people left because their order wasn't taken, and another group canceled their order after seeing how long it was taking. Very inattentive, it seems like they're even doing you a favor.

It's a shame that the lady who serves treats diners so poorly. We tourists are the ones who make the money, and we don't deserve to be treated as if they're doing us a favor by serving us. That's why we come to a food place because we have the ability to pay. Even the tip should be helpful and attentive, and not demand it as if the service had been first-rate. What a sad fact. If you go to this place, don't even expect them to let you use the bathroom. The molletes only have a "pasta de frijoles" (a little overcooked beans). It's better to eat locally. The small places there have better service, better food, and at least if they don't have a bathroom, they're not as expensive as this place.

Terrible quality, service, and price. Three quesadillas for 90 pesos, and they were made with cheap, sour, and unappetizing tortillas from a bag. The tortas had barely any ham.
