Opiniones de Knish Knosh Rego Park
Real deal , quality old school knish , not fried and made with real potatoes With a thin layer of dough. Just amazingly delicious
I try to go here when ever I am in the area. It is has been here for a long time. They have variety of knishes. I bought 6 and ate in the car. Just as I remebered.
This is the real deal OG shop. My good friend Ronne introduced it to me and she had been enjoying them for a lifetime by then.
Good knishes better tasting knishes you need to update your prices because it's not what I paid when I came there I was overcharged with what pictures you took and posted
The broccoli knish will change your life if you let it. I want the very sweet woman working there to be my grandma.
Love the matzah ball soup here. The people are very nice and I usually try one or two other things each time I come.
Very friendly staff and Matzo ball soup absolutely delicious!
Great knishes served to the public for over 3 decades, this is the place for knish in NYS!
A trip to Queens isn't complete without a stop at Kinish knosh. Can't get a good kinish anything like theirs in Pa! Yummy Yum Yum!!!
They have the best of everything! Next time I will order ahead of time, parking is horrible. Now with the Holidays they are real busy as I said the best of everything!!!! Will be back soon😊
Fantastic pastrami sandwich, kreplach, and split pea soup. What a find/gem. And around since the 50s, so they must be consistent.
Knish Nosh should be a landmark, Chef Anna hooked us up with cheese perrogies after our meal. This place is great and people should have a special place in their heart for small businesses like these.
One of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in ages, great chopped liver, and of course a delicious knish. Can't wait to come back for more.
Great Knishes from Queens, Forest Hills and Restaurants in Rego Park!! Me being from Maui Hawaii, I appreciate great food at a reasonable price...what can I say..I Love New York City!! My second home
I really love the knishes here. Always freshly made. The size of the knishes are good. The staff has been there for a long time.
the food and service is excellent. Been a customer for 30 years and always return. Anna the chef is the best ,courteous, respectful and helpfull Highly recommend this establishment. The food is beyond 5 stars,
This place is a neighborhood legend. Come visit, order one of everything, return as soon as you can. The people who run this place are very sweet and I'm always happy to eat the wonderful food that they make.
A Gem. The best in NYC.
Been going to the Forest Hills store since I was a kid in the 60's. Really nice guys with great quality knishes - best in the world!! Keep up the good work............
stopped off here on my way home to manhattan- bought knishes and stuffed cabbage to take home. this is a takeout shop- made on premises- I havent had the knishes yet but the stuffed cabbage was pretty good
I needed a cold cure soup and oh-myyy the “chicken vegetable” soup I got here was exactly what I needed. It totally tastes home-made with natural flavors and loads of vegetables and chicken. 🙏🏼
Wow...wow..that matzoh chicken soup...absolutely was soooo delicious ...old fashion like mama use to make...delicious.. Old fashion chicken soup absolutely gave the exit to my cold..ty ty..will be back for more!!!!
The food is delicious!! Great variety, reasonable prices. Old world cooking, the way it should be. To top it all, friendly service.
THE BEST! A cute Mom and Pop atmosphere! Knishes were to die for!
The best conditions. We also love the matzo ball soup which we buy by the gallon (no kidding, 4 quarts)
Delicious homemade Kosher food. The knishes are legendary. EAT!
Haven't been here since I was 13 but soo glad they are still there. Brought back good memories and very happy to see them thriving after all these years.
Been going here for at least 60 years. They were located before in a few other spots on queens blvd. The food is always great . My grandparents lived in the area. We travel from Brooklyn on occasion to feast on the knishes. 5 stars...
I grew up in Forest Hills a few blocks from the original location. There is no doubt their knishs are the best. I moved to Pennsylvania in 1984 but when I visit relatives in the New York City area I try to swing by and pick up some to take home. They are that good.
This is a classic old-school NY Jewish deli with all the Ashkenazi comfort food we know and love. We ordered pastrami sandwiches, a potato knish, latkes (fresh from the fryer, according to the person working there), and of course Dr. Brown's sodas. The sandwiches were simple but delicious, with warmed, thinly sliced pastrami and brown mustard on seeded rye. Each sandwich came with a half-sour pickle, which was the perfect accompaniment. The knish was huge and dense and tasted amazing (I regretted sharing it with my husband because I wanted to eat the whole thing myself!). The latkes were decent, but a bit too much of the binder/batter and not enough potato shreds. The menu is extensive, and I wished I lived closer so that I could come here more often to try everything. The workers that we met were very hospitable. There are usually tables outside to sit at, but since it was December they were inside (not really set up for indoor diners, but we were allowed to sit at the tables anyway); in any case, this is really more of a takeout spot. In terms of their kosher status, there is no hechsher that I noticed, but I believe kosher meats are used, and dairy products are not served.
The lady at the counter is soo adorable and really appreciates her customers and loves small talk. Tons of great food all made in house. They take pride in those wonderful knishes! My parents have been going here since they were kids!
This is a really good jewish deli. The knishes are really tasty/ the sweet potato ones are really good too. Will go back. The food is very fresh. If you like pastrami sandwiches you'll like this place.
This place is a gem of Forest Hills, Queens! The food is always fresh and delicious! best place for a European prepared food in the neighborhood. Grab and Go ! Brisket Pierogi, chicken noodle soup and chocolate chip cookies are my favorite among all the rest of fantastic dishes...and the best thing ...The lovely Lady who cooks and sells allll that food that is sweet, friendly and charming! Don't forget to show her your appreciation!
knish nosh has been in forest hills forever. they have always been in the area but changed locations a few times. one thing that hasn't changed is their recipe. By far, hands down, the best knish in the world. Yes I said the world! It's true. I absolutely love their meat knishes. When i go their I always take a hot one to eat then and then take a dozen cold knishes boxed to freeze at home and I reheat that goodness for meals and share with family who also loves them. this place is a forest hills gem!
A legacy...Knish Nosh has made the best knishes and comfort Jewish food in Queens for decades...an absolute must try is their potato knish. Get it hot. The best thing is they are also vegan! It is definitely worth the trip from Manhattan.
The knishes are ginormous! The matzoh ball soup is delicious and tastes home made. It's the 3rd best I've ever had. Mom's and grandma's were #'s 1 and 2. A little more salt wouldn't hurt.
Haven't been back to this awesome spot since moving to PA 17 years ago, but I know I always loved it and had to go back. Finally made my way over there yesterday and it brought back fond memories of my "bubbie". I've missed her matzo ball soup for 30 years and this one tasted just like it. The potato knish was absolutely delish! Although I can get commercially packaged chopped liver in PA it's nothing like their homemade chopped liver. I can't stop eating it. I may have to take another two and a half hour ride back just for soup and liver. I know I'll be having some strong cravings once it's all gone. Thanks for the great memories, and I look forward to coming back again soon.
There is no better knishes hotdogs anywhere in the neighborhood been going to this place my entire life. It's fantastic. His entire menu is amazing. And he does the delivery by himself And his little Chevy HHR...... It is definitely worth trying
Excellent food if you want a taste of eastern European and true jewish cuisine. Very simple but scrumptious every nook and cranny in that store! Delicious treats and Anna is just a sweetheart!
Really delicious corned beef on rye. The spinach knish was really filling (but also tasty). They have a small amount of outdoor seating, but it's not really covered in the rain.
I have been going to Knish Nosh for over 50 years! All of the food is outstanding delicious and fresh! The baked knishes soup sandwiches are all fresh and outstanding!!
I’ve been visiting Knish Nosh at the old location since I was a kid when visiting relatives in the area. The quality of the knishes has always been consistently good since then.
This place is the gold standard for knishes. Forget Yonah Shimmels. Go here now. Oh, and I gave 3 stars for their atmosphere, but if you're going to a knish place for the atmosphere, you need to reevaluate your priorities in life.
The best knishes around. Love their corned beef sandwiches with kosher pickles that should be sold as a side (one is not enough). A must visit.
Still my absolute fave place for fresh , home made style knishes. The kasha knish is a family treat for my gang. Would like to find a local retailer in Nassau County that sells them.
This is the perfect Knish!! The spinach is worth walking there!! I’m so happy that this business has been around for so long and hope it’s around for another 50 years!! We had their party knishes and it was a huge hit!!
pretty tasty Jewish food, and a very nice gentleman behind the counter
Really delicious soups and foods. My kids can’t get enough of their chicken noodle soup. Big fan of the potato knish too. Very nice and kind folks working there. If you’re looking for that real home cooked meal flavor then this is the spot. Recommended for sure. More of a take-out spot than sit-in.
This is a childhood favorite and I return every time I can having followed this establishment as it has changed locations over the years. Luckily the quality of the product remains high and delicious. Who needs atmosphere. Buy these yummy KNISHES and take them home by the dozens and saver them at your leisure. Share them if you must.
I have gotten food from here many times and everything is delicious ( maybe not the borscht, but to each his own). Today I had the chicken matzoh ball soup. Delicious homemade broth, not too salty, with loads of chicken, a few carrots, and delicious matzoh balls!
So delish I’ve been wanting a pastrami sandwich for ages! The woman at the counter was so nice and even threw in free apple danish for me. I only wish it was a little cheaper, for that price I feel like I usually get a bigger sandwich. Enjoyed the pickle too. I’ll still be back though!
Owned and operated for 70 years it's a staple in the community and the food is loved by everyone
If I could give Knish Nosh more than five stars, I absolutely would. This place is it an institution, a tradition, and a reminder of everything great about real, handcrafted food. Every bite tastes like it was made with pride, patience, and generations of know-how. Haig is an absolute gem. The kind of person who not only remembers your order, but remembers your story. His warmth and hospitality make every visit feel like you’re stopping by a friend’s kitchen rather than a storefront. He goes above and beyond in a way you just don’t see anymore. On several occasions, he has literally shipped our favorite treats all the way to Florida just so we can share with our family.
A true jewish deli, like those that don’t exist anymore. Excellent food that you can tell is homemade. This place is a Queens institution and I hope it never goes away
I was craving a knight and a hot dog. This was the ultimate knish and hot dogs. Knish was so big, that I ate it, at 3 separate times.
Warm, homey Jewish/Eastern European food made fresh by your actual real-life grandma—or at least it feels that way. The eponymous knishes are perfect and gargantuan but everything is great.
My uncle had been craving a real NY pastrami sandwich and he was thrilled when we brought this up to him in the hospital. The smile on his face alone was worth five stars! Knishes were also delicious!
Food was delicious very authentic flavors. The owner is wonderful. The pastrami is the best I’ve had in many years, melts in your mouth. Get the Pastrami on rye and knish combo. We’ve tried almost the whole menu and have no complaints
This has been a neighborhood staple for 50 years give or take . . A landmark business that is enjoyed by all. Anna the chef and face of this business is both caring and generous. My father was in a wheelchair and was treated like a king by her and the owner. Enjoy it while you can!
A nice little mom and pop shop, classic feel at home atmosphere , a nice variety of soups and other simple healthy plates, if you love knishes your going to love this place*** - with plenty of different style of knishes to choose !!!!! Some Salads and others - this place has a nice selection of healthy foods , eat inside or outside during the season, price is fair and atmosphere and area - close to near by shops , staff and or owner are friendly, cheers and enjoy this spot.
I've been going to knish nosh for the past 32 years of my life. Since then a lot has changed, store location, owner and chef. But I must say that the knishes are the same quality and taste from since I was a child and they added a lot more food to the menu. Anna who is the chef and literally cooks everything is such an amazing human being, she makes the best chicken soup that definitely will save you a trip to the doctor. They added pastrami to the menu which I must say I'm pleasently surprised of being that it's juicy and delicious. I hope this is place never shuts down since , come on down and give them a try you won't be disappointed.
The pastrami at this place is truly spectacular, packed with flavor, and perfectly cooked. However, the portion size left me wanting a bit more for the price. The knish at this place is absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors and a satisfying texture. It's a must-try for anyone looking to experience authentic Jewish cuisine.
Honestly, the best pastrami sandwich ive ever had, and i know my way around a jewish deli. Sliced SO thinly. It's a bit like stepping back in time, in the best way possible. Dr. Browns sodas, soups, smoked kosher meats, catering platters, franks, eastern european jewish dishes... it's got a bit of everything and they do it right.
they said they sell kosher for passover food i get bread and they say its kosher for passover
Knishes are good. Service is way to slow. Not the cleanest tables to eat on. But good knishes. A little pricey.
The pastrami sandwich was good and satisfied my craving but the delis in manhattan are better.
This place is iconic in Forest Hills. The knishes are excellent. It can sometimes take a while to get in and out of there though.
OMG, I ate the dog in a blanket in my car within 2 minutes then I drove home and ate the matzoh ball soup and I was Happy. If you want food of the highest quality you got to go to Knish Knosh , you'll thank me later.
Some of the best tasting knishes I have tasted in queens.this is my wife's favorite knish spot ,we both love their potato knish.
Great pastrami sandwich, great knish, with a Dr. Brown's cream soda. Lunch doesnt get any better than that.
Brings back memories. A very mom and pop feel, wife and I ate in and got a knish (potato) and veggie soup. The soup was seasoned well and the knish was very hearty. Both were reasonably priced. No table service but the food was great and for what it was a great experience. Lost a star for lack of options that day the menu was not representative of what was available.
The knishes are immense! Very tasty too and reasonable. Also, 3rd best home made chicken soup with matzoh balls I've ever had. In all fairness my grandma made the best and my mom made the second best.
Knish Nosh has an excellent assortment of prepared foods and soups, but they are best known for their knishes. They have a wide variety of knishes. My favorites are the potato, kasha, sweet potato and pastrami. The cocktail knishes and cocktail frank's are great choices as well.
Good knishes. good service. Next time I try the potato kugel. I still have my old knish favorites on the brain. Potato knishes fine also skip the spinach and cabbage because they have little of each in them. if you like kasha I'm sure they 're excellent.
Food is good especially their Knishes and dough wrapped hotdogs . On the down side, they refuse to open the knish and place mustard in them. They give you annoying packages of mustard that you struggle to open. They work for the consumer, and should supply this service. They are pricey but worth it. Parking is a challenge.
Been coming here since I was a kid. It’s a staple to me and a credit to the family because it’s been consistently good my whole life. When I’m feeling fat I get a hot meat knish if I’m feeling human I take them to warm up at home. My kids don’t get it so it’s my personal thing. Food is good service good. Can’t beat good Jewish comfort food.
For a great knish this place is beyond compare. Best to take out because the dine-in experience is bare bones. Another patron ordered one of their new pastrami sandwiches that looked out of this world!
I got kasha and varnishkas which were excellent and stuffed cabbage that was a little different than mine ( no raisins and turkey beef blend). I ordered three servings for three people and it fed six. Next time I'd order half. The food was ready even though we arrived early. I appreciated that.
First time visit. Got 2 hot potato knishes. They were huge! Tasty but seems expensive.
Really expensive for food that comes straight out of the fridge. Make sure to preheat your ovens before you get your food. Must be nice to cut the costs of having to keep things warm
Arrogant old woman does not Ask what you want on a sandwich. She ASSUMES what you want. She is a wonderful cook, but her customer service attitude has been HORRIBLE for decades.
Travelled a really long way to get here. (From CA). Owner was helpful and chatty. Pricing for everything is unfortunately higher than it should be. We ordered the following: Meat Knish: (Really good) 8 inch Frank: so OVER well done it was terrible. Point Blank horrible). Kugel burnt far too much on bottom in it's entirety. One corner completely scorched on top, hard as could be...good flavor but again way over cooked. Beef Pastry. A WAY overcooked super soggy Oily MESS. Inedible. Hard pass Just so disappointed. Was really hoping for a great experience. We drove over an hour out of the way to come here...the owner was nice. I could see back in the day this institution was probably great but at this point I don't think they realize how completely overcooked they serve things. It's overboard...I imagine in the morning before things sit too long and get overdone they're probably ok. We went at 11:30 and it was too late are imo. This is a fair assessment. FAIR and true and correct. I asked my other half.
Not Happy. Tried to get there tonight before they closed. Website said 7 pm. I got there exactly 6:30 while the women was locking the door. She told me to go away. Her boss should only know. Very unhappy. This is how you loose customers with workers like this.
The food has become tasteless and the customers who go there are mostly there to watch Fox News and hear the owner spewing his vile rhetoric. $7.50 for a single potato knish…just wait until the tariffs kick in
If I could give it less than a star I would. I ordered a small chicken noodle soup, a small matso ball soup and 2 knishes. $64 later the soup was ice cold like they just took it out of the fridge and the knishes tasted like they were old. I had to heat that up too. I used to love this place. I don’t know what happened
Drove 20 minutes to closed doors while it says open i tried calling no answer they have a regular landline and no message or hrs
Worst experience. Walked in and the woman looked like she didn't want to be there while yelling at someone on the phone and ignoring I was at the counter, not even offering a simple "give me a minute". When she finally did ask what I wanted I told her a knish with provolone. The woman went to the back, grabbed the item and tossed my knish which was in a bag on the counter in front of me. I asked if it was provolone and she yelled, stating she doesn't have that. I gave her my card for the item which was $4 and some change. She then threw the receipt and my card on that same counter with $6 in cash saying she overcharged me @ almost $12. I dont know how this business has 4.5 stars.
WORST CORNED BEEF SANDWICH EVER!!! Where is Ben's Best to show how an almost $20 sandwich is supposed to be? This sandwich needs to be immediately removed from the menu, it was tasteless like the meat was boiled with no seasoning whatsoever. I also got an order of potato pancakes that were just as bad and they did not give apple sauce nor offer any. The whole experience was disappointing and I will NEVER go back. Stick to the Knishes and do better Knish Nosh!
I gave it a one star review, but would have given even less if it was available.. It was my worst experience in a Deli. First of all, I walked in there were a few people in the back who Oh wow wow saw me, but wouldn’t come out to the front fot at least 5 to 10 minutes. The place was extremely uninviting with boxes all over the place. I ordered Pastrami. I also ordered other types of meats, but they were out of it. I also ordered coleslaw and bread. Not bothering to open the bag before I left I was shocked to see that the pastrami was super cold, tasteless, and the coleslaw was not fresh. I ordered several slices of rye bread, and I only received four, but it was a cheap type of bread. Certainly not the kind that you would want to use with a deli sandwich. The woman who served was rude and Unhelpful. The food was horrible. The experience was terrible and I will never go back again.
Horrible food. Horrible service. I wish I had read the bad reviews. Everything cold and old. Nothing fresh and cost a lot. I end up put it in the garbage because I didn’t want to be sick.
