Opiniones de Saigon Block Richardson
Always a favorite! Been coming to this place since it opened and the food is as delicious as I remembered. We got the large catfish which was enough for 4 people who don't eat too much lol. Definitely recommend ordering extra appetizers or more catfish if you want to stuff yourselves. I did try their flan for the first time---which was so yummy! It's not overly sweet. The texture is also firmer. And absolutely love that they put ice on top. Kept the flan nice and cold. Service was fast and efficient for a busy Saturday night.
If you’re looking for the best crispy fried fish in Dallas, Saigon Block is the place to go! The fish is perfectly fried—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with amazing flavors that make it stand out. It’s a must-try! Another highlight is the Thai Spicy Soup, which is hands down the best I’ve had. The broth is rich, flavorful, and has the perfect level of heat to warm you up. Every spoonful is packed with fresh ingredients and authentic spices that make it incredibly satisfying. Beyond the food, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy yet lively, making it a great spot for gatherings or a casual meal. If you’re craving delicious Vietnamese dishes with bold flavors, Saigon Block will not disappoint! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Highly recommend!
So good! We got the 7 entree deal for the 8 of us along with the hot pot. We all were super stuffed. Every dish came out savory and full of flavor. If we ever come around this area, we would definitely come again. Come try this place out. O! And the customer service was really good as well. The brought out the food in a fast and efficient manner.
We typically go here to get the baked fish, whether dine-in or for takeout (most recently for takeout). Service is always great and accommodating. The only thing I've had here, multiple times, is the baked whole catfish to share with family. I like all the herbs that it's cooked with, the crispiness of the skin, and the tenderness and freshness of the meat. All of the sides to make the wraps are always super fresh too, with vibrant and fragrant greens. It's definitely something we'll continue to order when in the Metroplex.
We came here after mass on New Year Eve and the place was packed. There was a long line, but we got lucky and booked a reservation. They managed to accommodate all 25+ of us along the entire length of the restaurant. The restaurant looked nicer than the average Vietnamese restaurant with high ceilings and well-coordinated colors. The store was full of Vietnamese so it rung authentic. I ordered one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes: Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. This vermicelli bowl topped with charcoal broiled pork and egg roll is a tester dish for me since I have had it at so many restaurants. The vermicelli met my expectations. The pork was cooked nicely, but didn't have as much char/grilled flavor as I have had at other restaurants. The egg roll was decent and comparable to the others. I enjoyed my meal and will order this again here. The family ordered 3 sets of Ca Nuong Da Gion (Dut Lo) aka Baked Whole Fish. The fish had plenty of meat and was not overcooked. They came with sides and rice paper. The family ate all 3 sets of fish so they were happy with them. They also ordered Ba La Lot which is Vietnamese sausage wrapped with betel leaves. They wrap it with wetted rice paper along with pickled veggies and vermicelli noodles. I had one and it tasted good to me though I don't have a history with it to compare. The sausage had the typical meaty bounce one expects from sausage meat. The only difference I noticed was that it was on the fatty side with juices oozing out. It was flavorful, but not my preference. Despite the chaotic busy night, the store did not pressure us to leave and left us to enjoy our meals. The servers were busy and did their best to help us when needed though like any typical Asian restaurant, they don't check on you so wave to get attention if you need help.
Food and service are good. I’ve been here plenty of times and it’s always on point and consistent. This is a usual dine in place for me and my best friend . My family loves it here too. Good prices for good food
Tried Saigon Block and the food was solid overall! I ordered the Bún Thịt Nướng and Phở Đặc Biệt, and both dishes came out fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion. The grilled pork on the bún was nicely seasoned with a good char, and the pho broth had a rich, comforting flavor with plenty of meat. The drinks were just okay, the cà phê sữa đá was decent but not as strong or bold as I expected, and the Thai tea was pretty mid. Not bad, just not memorable. Service was quick, the restaurant was clean, and the food definitely hit the spot. I’d come back for the dishes, especially the bun and pho!
09-21-2025 We drove 45 min to dine here. Our friends and relatives shared that baked catfish is something worth to write home about. Ordered: -Ca Nuong (medium) $68- crunchy delicious! -Saigon 3 Vi $34- the variety of meat were all yummy. We enjoyed our wraps. -Pho Ga $14.25- my sister loved her soup! Good service. They gave us plenty of vermicelli and extra veggies with no additional charge. If I were to be in Dallas again, I will definitely be back here for more of their delicious food!
We had a reservation but still had to wait almost 45 minutes for our table. Service was slow and had to flag down staffs several times. However, staffs were very nice and friendly. It seemed like they were extremely busy that day and did not have a good system. I came for their famous Baked catfish dish -Ca Nuong Da Gion and 7 courses of Beef. I was very satisfied with our main dishes. We did order some desserts like caramel flan and Che Ba Mau, but I wasn’t impressed. The place was spacious suitable for big party/family gathering. Overall, I would come back for the baked catfish, with hope the service will be better.
Food was very good. The sauce for the rice can be stronger. They forgot my brother's food and they didn't have char broiled shrimp. Would recommend eating here though. Edit possible bugs infestation? I had a gnat smashed onto my rice paper. Need other reviewers to confirm. This would be extremely unfortunate because the food is good.
Pho was very clean and flavorful. Came out extremely hot, which I like. The seafood noodle soup was earthy and delicious. Place was busy for dinner, but didn't appreciate that the waiter was rushing us to order. I'm aware they close at 10pm, but we arrived at 9pm. Will give it another try at an earlier time.
We always make a reservations when we go here but they always seem to have not written it down or has forgot. Very unorganized. The baked catfish are hit or miss, sometimes it's fresh and sometimes you can tell that it's old. Servers could be more helpful and not as forgetful. We love the fish sauce here though. One of the few okay baked fish places so unfortunately we do come back.
The catfish was stale. Nice and crispy on the outside, bland on the inside, but parts of it were very stale and left a gross aftertaste that I couldn’t shake off for at least 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant. The soft shell crab and shrimp paste on sugarcane sticks were both good. (The server also asked for my restrictions - I said no peanuts, he suggested the catfish, which… ended up having peanuts)
