This club was the most fun out of all the ones I attended last night. I was bar hopping with 12 girlfriends. I was the only guy and the only sober one. I volunteered to stay keep an eye on all of them while the ladies got drinks and just wanted to have fun and dance. It was fun

I came here on a Sunday on there were amazing bands performing. The vibe was great and very chill. Everyone was enjoying the live music. I will definitely come here for their next event.

I've been coming here for a number of years to dance and relax. My brain never stops thinking and it takes stimulating environments for me to feel relaxed. There are a lot of variation of people here depending on the night of the week. Drinks are reasonably priced, events are here often. The staff is amazing! Great place to check out

As far as downtown Riverside goes, this place is probably one of the best downtown bars. They have a list of weekly events, specifically karaoke on Tuesday. The bartenders are always pleasant, and it is quite clean. Never had an issue with the musty dirty tap taste from here. One of my go-tos.

Great bar . Came on tue night for karaoke. LGBTQIA+ friendly

Pretty cool place with a nice environment. People were generally pretty nice and so was the staff. I guess my only complaint is that there should be a little bit more attention on keeping the tables clean and sanitize them a little more often. Other than that I love this place.

Pixels is good stuff. I especially enjoy Mustache Mondays there. Gets a little too packed to hear yourself think on the weekends but it's cool if you're into that kind of scene. Always different bands/DJs playing, karaoke night, arcade Wednesdays. Truly a cool downtown spot.

Mustache Mondays... Enough said. Grow a damn mustache, have an enjoyable start to your week. Half off all drinks. Also, as a vegan, I appreciate all of the delicious, fantastically priced vegan food options. I don't want to throw shade; however, Pixels serves an impossible burger for $6... another place in the Food Lab, around the corner, serves the impossible for $11. You do the math.

NO COVER CHARGE. Get in. Dance. Act a fool. Have fun! The DJ has been the same each time I went so I have become familiar with his style, he plays a lot of good modern songs (mostly rap) and throws in a lot of retro songs too which is always fun. The beer selection is decent, not too pricey, and the place itself albeit kinda small has a very comfortable atmosphere.

LUNCH CROWD: For anyone thinking about coming here during lunch. I say do it ONLY if time is of no issue. Came in with co-worker during our lunch break. Absolutely no one else here but us and it took the kitchen 45 minutes to bring us out appetizer food. I will say though that the food is good just takes forever to be given to you HAPPY HOUR CROWD: I'd say this is the best time to come in. The beer selection is great, price is good, and not too crowded. In other words the service-to-crowd-to-price ratio is in perfect balance. NIGHT/LATE NIGHT CROWD: Definitely popular with the young and college crowd. Definitely packed, loud, and fun. Depending on the night the crowd can be hit or miss.

Small bar with a decent atmosphere. Prices for drinks are fair and the crowd is friendly. When we first arrived people were chatting and enjoying their drinks. Shortly afterwards a DJ started blasting the music and killed the quaint vibe. Seemed a bit out of place at the time for the crowd. Would go again on a DJ-less night though.

Kind of an entertaining mix of ages, colors, and styles. Maybe I would call it the nerds bar. Good feeling with old video games up on big screens all around the room. On a Wednesday night the DJ played great mix for people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. I would return.

Horrible service. The bartender complained that she was the only one working and didn't seem to be happy to be serving us, only checked on us once and that's when she finally realized she didn't bring my friend her drink. She was too busy having a great time with her friends at the bar. We had the tacos, they were good and not overpriced.

Bartender insulted one us within the first 5 minutes of being there and was rude. We ordered tacos and flat bread. It was cold when brought to our table. We asked if the sound could be turned on to hear the sports game we went there to watch and was told no that there was no sound on Thursdays only music. We left right after we ate our cold tacos. We won't be back again.

Hi :) First I would like to preface that I had no expectations going to this bar - I had been there before, however it was a drunken night and of course I’m going to have a good time. This time, the bartenders were sweet and the DJ was great (early 2000s - like 2016, exactly my vibe) but one of the bouncers were horrible. He had started in a bad mood, when I had asked to get 20s broken down into ones for the drag show next door, I hadn’t said anything about his mood. However, when my coworker/friend was with me, and drank her bottle of water (that she got from Menagerie) he told her that she couldn’t get in, which was fine, but after I told him, “I hope your night gets better”, that’s when things went down hill. He was very rude and antagonistic (admittedly, as was I After the fact), and was just horrible all around. I will never let someone else dictate my emotions, but I do hope he gets his personal life in order and that his attitude doesn’t ruin someone else’s night. Good luck to this club and that bouncer. I wish you the best. Pixels, you’re a great club from what I’ve experienced the only thing youre lacking is on those you choose to keep your club safe.

I'd put no stars if I could. My friend and I went and they didn't accept his ID and I didn't feel comfortable drinking if he wasn't. Soon enough an employee came up to us and told us we had to leave if we weren't buying anything. Waste of time, definitely won't recommend it to family and friends, I'll save their time.

Outdoor sign said Pixels opens at 4:00 p.m. I was little early and waited. At a little after 4:00 on a Friday afternoon maintenance man let me in, not the service staff. Staff member was working to get the place open. She wasn’t ready to serve customers. She was abrupt when speaking to me. I’m the only one in the place. (I’ve since been told that the staff typically DOES NOT arrive before opening time to get set up. Her name is not Kat.) No smile. No friendliness. Based on the owner’s reply to some of the negative reviews, I’m certain the poor customer service starts at the top. I know, I know Mr or Ms Pixels owner, I’m a one star, too. That puts me in the company of honest people. I’m good with that.

Twice I’v picked up friends from here and they had bad experiences. One friend has been a regular here for a few years. Recently it was her birthday but her I.D expired the same day, yet they still wouldn’t let her in even though they new her! My friend is 40 years old keep in mind. Also last night another friend went with a group. She went outside to call me to come pick her up, but bouncers wouldn’t let her back in to get her friends, even though she told them what she was doing before she went out. After hearing those stories you can rest assured I won’t be spending my money at this place. When I go out I want to enjoy my time and not be worried about things like this happening.

Was excited for this place and it was a let down Can only order drinks with food which is okay fine but I ordered chips and guacamole and it came with less than a handful of chips and small 2oz plastic condiment shot cup of guacamole like what is that? A joke? I didn’t come with like big expectations I was just hoping for a chill place and that was just sad. Like me and my sister looked at it as it came and were just completely shocked like cmon I get it times are tough but don’t be cheap. That was just sad. Out of our entire night this was the part that sucked. Never again don’t add it to apart of any spontaneous nights out with your friends family or anyone. The bouncer had literally said, “you’re walking a little gay” to someone in our group trying to enter. They then claimed this person was drunk as the reason they were going to deny them entry after this comment. This person was sober and one of the designated drivers for the group. Quite sad of this bigotry when they are literally next door to an lqbtq club. Do they just watch who comes and goes next door at the lqbtq bar and then deny entry? I’ll attach his photo.

Pixels completely ruined why Friday night. If you are planning on having a nice night out, absolutely do not go to Pixels. It is currently 2:47am and instead of enjoying time with my significant other, I am writing this review. My girlfriend and I arrived at pixels around 10 pm, and we spent the rest of the night there, enjoying ourselves and dancing. A little after 1am I decided to close my tab. I had had 3 whiskey sodas (4 if you count the one I spilled and the bartender agreed to give me a replacement free of charge...) and 1 beer, My girlfriend had three Screwdrivers. When I went to pick up the tab they tried to charge me double my tab. After I attempted to ask them why they doubled my tab all three bartenders came up and accused me of buying drinks for people I don't know, I told them I would gladly dispute the charge with my credit card, but they then refused to give me my divers license even after I told them that they could keep my credit card and I would pursue the matter civilly. They kept telling me to "call the cops then" and so I asked for the number for the non emergency line from a security guard, and I called the police. They agreed it was reasonable to at least give my license back, but the bartender still refused. At this point the police officer said it was a civil matter and even made an agreement with me that I would be able to drive back to the bar to dispute the charge due to the bar staff refusing to give me my identification back by police order tomorrow, since the bartender would not comply. (at this point I am rather sure the bar staff overstepped their bounds by refusing a lawful order by a police officer.) I own an automotive dealership and attend dealer only auctions almost daily, and so by them keeping my identification, they are restricting me from being able to do my business as a dealer, and are actively impeding on my ability to feed my family. I would like to ask the owner of Pixels, business owner to business owner, is this an appropriate way to treat your customers? If I had had as many drinks as the staff accused me of (before flipping their story to buying other people who they could not even identify drinks, after seeing I was coherent enough to obviously not have had over 8 alcoholic beverages) bar staff apparently has free rein to make up your tab to whatever they want. I am planning on speaking to the operations manager tomorrow to see how they were able to allow such egregious and unacceptable service as well as training their bar staff to ignore lawful orders from police officers. Edit: I spoke with the "Business owner" (I cannot verify the authenticity of her claims) the next day. They also tried to keep my ID and tell me it was illegal for me not to pay them the amount they decided I owed. She told me it was illegal that I did not sign and it was the same as leaving without paying. I pointed out to her that they charged my card, I had checked my account and seen it, so I had paid plain and simple, I just did not agree to the fraudulent charges made so I did not sign, which is completely my right. After a long conversation in which I explained to them that if they have all the proof necessary, they can provide that to my bank and my bank will be able to sort it out. I was finally able to obtain my credentials back after that. She also tried to use the fact that if I paid her the full amount in cash she would take the charge off of my card, since it was a business card, until I had to explain to her I am the owner of the business and so there is really no incentive for me to try to hide the charge. While we were finishing up some regulars or employees came in who were visibly drunk came in and got drinks (this was 2pm on a Sunday) One of them just started angrily shouting at his phone until the manager I was speaking to had to tell him by name to quiet down.

It's a small dive bar at night.. free to get in and affordable decent price drinks but Becareful with the bartenders here they tamper with your bill witch is fraud. it's small does get packed but not enough women here younger crowd mostly dudes not recommend for single guys ok chill music.

This is the worst bar in the planet. BROCK the "bartender" is the worst employee and bartender in this facility. I ordered a drink and I did not like how it came out. I asked for a new drink and he told security to kick me out. This is unprofessional and the worst place to go to in DTR. Don't ever come here. Worst experience. -0 rating if I could. Do not waste your time here. Drinks are terrible. Music is out of date. Food is disgusting.

Okay this sounds crazy but me and a friend came here, we had one drink that I’ve had at other places except it didn’t smell or taste like it should have. It tasted bitter and had this cleaning smell. I never had any trust issues with bartenders but fast forward and 72 hours later I’m still having abdominal pains, and feel nauseous. That night and the next morning I had irregular heartbeats, fever and was throwing up all day. Tip of advice don’t come here and order drinks, I think this bar is targeting minorities and people with disabilities, read all the reviews and beware.

Wouldn't let me in with my international ID at Aurea Vista and apparently they have the same management personnel here because the lady at the front told me they wouldn't let me in here either. You don't need to look too close to notice I'm way over 21 lol so don't tell me it's rules. I honestly think it's racism at it's finest because if it was rules, they would be in place everywhere and this is the only place that has ever done this and not let me in. So it's clear to me that they're not checking for your age here, they're checking for your race. It's very sad to see this nowadays! I felt completely shamed. Will never be back here and if you're supporting their racist ways then so be it. Personal choices.

I think about 2 or 3 security guards rushed in to confront me about it, which caught me really off guard cause it was odd. I asked for clarification, but I was only told ‘it’s the rules’ and asked to leave without further explanation. The restroom line for the women's is extremely long and they're always having some type of toilet issue. Got my jacket stolen there once by people who looked fairly young. You would think I would learn my lesson and not go back after the second time but there I was a third time SMH.

Then later when I went to buy a drink again the same bartender walked around the bar to ask the other person behind me what they wanted. I then told her I was first she said she would not help me because I was “rude” I quote. But solely because I did not tip her. So I told the security what happened, she saw me talk to him and she walked up to talk with him aswell. When they finished I told him she’s mad because I didn’t tip her, then they asked me to leave. When I asked their names to report them to upper staff/management they said don’t worry about it.
