The food is pretty good, but sometimes if it's busy, the line to order grilled food can be quite long. However, the ocean view is incredible. The food quality is quite good, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We would definitely return.
Josue Verdugo Gonzalez at Rancho Grande Restaurant has becoming a family friend for us at this point as we have been here 3 times annually and it’s always a treat to have him assist us. He is always so happy, creative and fun. We adore him as he is part of the atmosphere of this magical place. Never change and we look forward in our future visits, laughs and exceptional service.
Chef Luis Miguel Perez and Raul Salão were both great. They accommodated my wife who has a gluten allergy everyday we had lunch there. Thank you to both of them.

Great lunch spot! Edwin Garcia and Jorge Pech made our experience. We never had an empty glass and they even customized our own drinks! I will be coming here each day for lunch until I leave. Love these guys and the atmosphere!

We had a reservation tonight at Rancho Grande at Maya Beach, a steakhouse open in the evenings. It's only open in the evenings when the resort is full. It's a very good steakhouse, plus it has an ocean view if you eat early. Upon arrival, you're served toast with guacamole, then you choose an appetizer (salad or soup), your main course, and dessert. You choose your cut of meat (steak selection). There's the New York strip steak, the T-bone, the rib-eye, and two other options. It's served with baked potatoes, vegetables, gravy, and a roll. IT WAS DELICIOUS. THE STEAK IS VERY GOOD, very tender. We received excellent service from Ramon. I recommend this restaurant for dinner. Here's a picture of our dishes!

Miserable staff, have to beg to get cutlery and drinks. If you seat someone at a table with no cutlery you get them cutlery, no?
Terrible service for a family group of 10. With a Premium level not worth paying for, customer service training and friendliness, as well as more personalized attention, are urgently needed. Both the restaurant and the bar area are honestly far from the level of service offered by other hotel chains we have memberships with, such as Fiesta Americana, let alone Xcaret. The people who serve guests are doing no favors for their guests and members; their goal is to make them feel at home and enjoy a pleasant rest.
Caribbean heat, 35 degrees Celsius, sweating, you can't go in wet, or shirtless (you're literally one step away from the pool). The buffet opens at 10:30 am and the ice cream machine mysteriously opens at 1 pm, it makes absolutely no sense. And to top it all off, you can't even get a single serving of fries.
