Great little corner neighborhood bar. Yes the bar is mostly for gay men, however they do not discriminate about women coming into the bar. Louis the bartender makes the greatest drinks, so friendly and funny. Definitely will be back again to see him

My favorite dive bar in Rochester. Dive bar could prob be read neighborhood bar. It's a gay male bar, so less likely to be hit on (unless you want to be and you are a gay male). They miss their drinks strongly and well. Great specials and on Mondays at 9, free pizza.

Maxwell welcomed and became the driving force behind firstly, being a great host! But also is a humanitarian, honest, open and welcoming. A great bar that care about the people who pass through.

Went here on Tuesday for my birthday. First gay bar I've been to! Just trying to connect more to my community and I met some amazing people and made some amazing friends!! It's an awesome atmosphere with great bartenders! Couldn't be better!!!

Met friends for a meeting. Music was a little loud, but not overwhelming. Would have liked a regular table off the dance floor. Weeknight, no dancers. Great welcoming bar.

Great Happy Hour special. Wonderful atmosphere and welcoming bar crowd. The outside area was beautiful on a quiet side street with blooming plants on it.

It's an iconic gay bar of Rochester. I was not wowed by it, but it is a nice place to meet friends and have a couple of drinks while playing pool.

I have to disagree with the previous post in that, the few times I've been at The Bachelor Forum, I found the bartenders to be welcoming, friendly and helpful. Widowed four years ago, I do not get out much so, when I do, it's sometimes uncomfortable. These guys make me feel welcome, more so than any other place I've visited in Rochester. And, to be honest, I've been all over this world and I've found the gay circles in upstate NY to be rather cliquish and unwelcoming to strangers, unless they are on the proverbial prowl. When I was there on a date, a couple years ago, I got all sorts of this kind of attention. Otherwise, when I am alone, I tend to be friendly and sociable but people seem to be leery of friendly strangers. I've even written to this group called "Rams," on two separate occasions, inquiring about their group and it's functions, but no one responds. Perhaps they have enough members. But The Bachelor Forum is a good place as friendly bartenders often break this "ice" I've experienced and I'm looking forward to popping up to Rochester and stopping in for another visit next month.

The prices were fair and the drinks were strong, but unless their new aesthetic is “unfinished construction site”, this place needs a lot of work on the atmosphere. It is literally an unfinished construction site with exposed drywall, joists, and wires. Bright LED construction lights are all that illuminate most of the space, which makes parts too bright and other parts just dark. The tables are plastic folding hi-tops which… just come on…. Really enjoyed this spot last time I was here a few years back, but if this is the current state, I’m less enthused to return.

Sort of okay. Was a great place when i discovered it 20 years ago. Now if you are into Will and Grace, that is what you get there now. Awful lot of Wills bringing Grace so no guys will bother them. Place Will can't you go without Grace, basically I miss the all gay feel it used to have, now it's like any other str8 bar!!

I usually feel more comfortable at LGBT bars, but this one always has disappointing service. The Bartenders (at least the ones I've met there) are always cranky and unpleasant. There's already unfair cliches about gay men being overly snarky, and this place just reinforces it, which makes me upset, since many go out of their way to give gay culture a better, more polite image. Forum does not, at least the weeknites i go there. There are better gay bars in rochester with much friendly customer service and with better, more welcoming atmosphere. Sorry. I wanted to like Forum. But service continuously fails in many ways

Too small. I did not like.

While in Rochester, I visited the Bachelor Forum on several occasions. Louis was very conversational and took care of me. Unfortunately, it turns out that my credit card was charged almost an additional $300 total from all my visits. An amount of over $300 is a felony. Louis closed my tab each time so I’m betting he had something to do with the aggressive overcharges. Fortunately, I’m not liable for the amounts. But never again. And if you’re thinking about your maiden visit to this bar, ask to see the itemized tab and pay with cash so that it doesn’t allow Louis to make any unauthorized adjustments to the amount.

Drinks are fine, space is odd, I'm not sure this bar knows what it's doing yet, and there's always off-leash dogs.

I was shunned immediately upon arrival. I knew going with my gay promiscuous boyfriend wouldn’t be a good idea. Inevitably I was refused service. It was St. Patrick’s Day.

Terrible. I went there after a tragic death. One of the bartenders accused me of "getting wasted and taking someone's jacket" from another patron whose telephone number I stored in my phone. I insisted I did not. He insisted I did. Again, I insisted that I did not. He said, "I saw it with my own eyes." So I contacted the patron and asked if I had his coat and he said, "No". And so I returned to the bar and asked told the General Manager and asked if he could speak to the bartender and have the Owner call me to explain just how and why a member of his staff could accuse someone without absolutely any evidence whatsoever. That requires some sort of explanation and perhaps an apology. I got no such a thing: No phone call. No explanation. Nothing. Let me also mention that I am also a person of color. This is why I will never spend my money here again and would not encourage any people of color to do so. That's blatantly and tacitly: racist.

Terrible service. You know when the bartender serves everyone around you and doesn't even ask if you want a drink? yeah, expect that at this place. I work hard to earn my money, and when I go out to an establishment and tell friends to go there for an event, I feel that I should be able to at least get served a drink, but apparently the bartenders have selective hearing, or just don't care about certain people. Never going there again, going to spend my dollars at a better establishment like Roar, where you can at least get a drink. Despite apologies from the establishment, when the bartender is busy talking to his friends all night and ignoring his job, yeah that speaks to me and it says this establishment doesn't care about its customer base, only their personal friends.

The new staff there is terrible. I bought two of their specials which is by one, get 2 drink cards or whatever. So I buy 2 of those specials which I think is 9.99, or something close to that. Me and my man had one drink from those two specials and our bill was 33.89. I didn’t buy 3, I bought 2. I said something to the manger, and they said that “they would remove it from my credit card.” They never did that after looking at my credit card bill. A week after later I went in for a bottle of Cider. They charged me 9 dollars for One bottle, I left five dollars on the counter and left. Will not be back, I’m Disgusted with your staff. They’re idiots.

No acknowledgment of any kind from Bartenders as we are all waiting over 10 minutes, finally last we all decided that moment we weren't going to order and left.
