What a hard-working, friendly group of people! This morning there were probably about 10 people working, a long drive-thru line and lots of people waiting inside. I don't think any one of them could have been working any faster, and were friendly to each other and the customers while doing it. It's a tough time to be in customer service and they rocked it :)

It was such a great place! Me and my father were on the road and we decided to stop by. I got a pumpkin spice latte (I believe, I can’t remember) And all I remember is that it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Our Cub wanted to try the Pink Drink. The beverage was amazing, however they didn't have the berries that are supposed to go in it. I was unamused that I needed to Uber through the drive thru because the lobby was closed.

I love Starbucks top quality I've always have a excellent experience every time I visit. Lemon loaf so good it melts in your mouth pumpkin cheesecake muffin warm up is so delicious 😋 medicine ball very powerful herbs especially good for when not feeling well...Majority of their cappuccinos are on point but my favorite which is seasonal is the strawberry funnel cake delicious!!!

Absolutely love this place! They know me so well and I know them as well, well at least the evening shift! Laura is my favorite. And her other co worker. He has dreads and they always treat me so well and always know who I am and what I want before I even say anything. Customer service is fantastic and so is the food and drinks!!! ♡

The best Starbucks crew I’ve had the pleasure of buying coffee from, personable, kind, fast and caring. I’ve been getting my overly caffeinated morning coffee here for over a year, and they greet me with a “hi Josh!!” the second I walk through the door. I’m not encouraging them to do this with everyone because I’m sure it would become quite difficult and labor intensive, but they even put jokes on my coffee cups most mornings. Today’s joke. (An original!) “What do you call a seahorse without glasses? Horse” Thank you Taylor and the whole crew at the Mount Hope Starbucks for always helping me start my day right. ❤️

Hi it’s your friendly neighborhood nurse here! Unlike many of my coworkers, I’m not someone who regularly gets coffee every day but when I do want to splurge a little, my drink of choice is a grande Starbucks cold foam. This Starbucks in particular is conveniently the closest location to my home and school, and so it’s the one I go to the most in Rochester. Overall, the barista’s are friendly and I’ve never had a problem with my order. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is the wait time in the drive thru or in-person; I sometimes find myself waiting 10+ minutes to get my order. To be fair, I’ve noticed wait times are slower here in general compared to other cities in the country. I’ve also been to other Starbucks in Rochester and this one on Mount Hope is better than the others. Anyway, if you need your caffeine fix, it’s easy to recommend this place, just be prepared to wait. Also Starbucks if you are listening, if you can sell a cup of just the cold foam and nothing else, that’d be great!

My daughter and I had just gotten off an overnight train ride to visit New York and we stopped at this Starbucks before we went sightseeing. The line moved really quick and the barista was very pleasant but this Starbucks has one of the goofiest parking lot layouts I've ever seen. If I lived in the area, I would avoid this location for that reason and find one with an easier parking lot and drive thru area.

Generally I have had good experiences at this Starbucks. I go there usually 4-5 times/week. The parking lot can be a little treacherous because they are busy all the time. Service is usually pretty fast. All of the employees are very pleasant (Jim is great) and my orders are almost always correct. However today is the third time in about 3 weeks that my venti iced Americano was only half a venti - literally cup half full. All three times I have been on my way to work using the drive-thrugh, and so I haven't had time to send it back. The short drink is too strong and it's bitter. Once or even twice I was willing to let go but this is becoming a pattern that will force me to change my drive to work to go to a different Starbucks.

The workers are always very lovely, both in the drive thru and in person. Starbucks as a whole has some supply chain issues that make certain stock low, and this location in particular is quite busy given proximity to Strong & River Campus so be prepared for a backup food order. Consistently great refreshers here. Sometimes this location is randomly closed and I have no idea why, but overall one of my favorite locations.

Pretty standard Starbucks experience. Person who took the drive through order spoke very clearly, window operator was decently friendly. Food tasted great and was a nice temperature. Line was pretty long for some reason, but could've just been the time of day.

Once again they got the order wrong. I ordered an iced matcha lemonade but they put it out hot. At least it was ready on time. I didn't have time to ask to get it fixed. It tastes aweful hot, I can't imagine anybody would want hot lemonade . I'll hold on to it til I gat home and pour it over ice. Maybe that will work. It is very frustrating to pay $5 for such aggravation. This is not the first time. All these places seem to focus on speed but bollix the items. I double checked that I ordered it iced.

The mount Hope location has to the be the worst Starbucks around. The staff is not very friendly especially the drive thru window staff. You ask a simple question and they either ignore it or give you the look of death. As for the coffee I usually get the same lattes and I can’t tell you how many times is either not the same or tastes burnt. I finally switched over to tea and for some reason they aren’t even mixing that right. And to top it all off they don’t even fill the entire cup to the top even when you say no foam. Your paying $6+ for a drink and you get the cup and it’s feels half full. I’ve since switched to other locations which have been a lot better.

It's Starbucks so the food and drink is generally the same no matter where you go. The staff does their best but this store is struggling. A lot of the employees who really cared have either transferred, been fired or quit. The baristas and shifts who remain are doing their best but the managers aren't giving them the support they need. For what a cup of Starbucks costs nowadays I'd say save your money and shop local. It'll cost the same, and the end product will probably taste way better too.

Drinks are inconsistent ordered 3 matcha lattes, 2 lavender and 1 strawberry and it’s 50% foam and they didn’t add enough of the lavender or strawberry powder to the foams so it just taste like regular foam. Here’s a picture of two of the three.

My first time and experiences at this location was horrible….when i walked in your business not one of your employees greeted me i was standing there for at least 3-4 minutes b4 another customer walked in and was noticed and was greeted i had to say something in order for them to acknowledge me….

Batista dropped a piece of Splenda wrapper in my cup. She put her whole hand inside the cup to retrieve it, then continued without replacing the cup. When I said something she replied that she just used her 2 fingers. No refund bc we had to leave right away and no offer to start the drink over. I called and they said they couldn't refund over the phone. $14 for a muffin bc I canceled the cappuccino. Gross

I visited this location around 4:45 pm on Thursday, March 27th. There was a couple placing an order and an employee kneeling near the counter doing inventory or some other task. I asked the employee kneeling for the code to the rest room. She did not bother to stand up when talking to me, which I felt was rude. She told me in a tone I considered to be rude, ”You need to make a purchase before we are allowed to provide you with the code for the rest room.” The woman working at the front register recognized me and asked me if I wanted my usual coffee. I confirmed this, and paid her with a $20 bill. There was an issue with the store’s cash drawer opening and closing correctly. The woman who was working at the register and another employee attempted to fix the drawer and requested the help of the woman who was rude to me. (Due to this I’m assuming that woman is a supervisor or a store manager.) The second employee gave me my change as they continued to try to resolve the issue with their cash drawer. The woman who was working the register gave me my coffee and attempted to give me my change. I explained that the other worker had already given it to me and thanked her. I continued on my way and after I arrived at the Starbucks I usually frequent, I explained what had happened and inquired as how to complain about the experience. I was given the corporate number, spoke to a customer service rep who proceeded to apologize for their employees behavior, but in the same breath validated the employee telling me that their rest rooms are only available to paying customers. Hence my posting this review. I mean, I must be a really horrid person that never patronized this store before. Ohh, wait, the girl at the register knew what I wanted to drink before I requested it. 🤔 Also, when the woman working the register attempted to give me change of $17 a second time I refused it. 😱 How dare a customer who was assumed to be and treated like someone who had no intention of purchasing anything refuse extra money back. (Yes, Starbucks you are getting slammed because your customer service rep I spoke to on the phone seemed to just be giving me lip service and I felt my complaint was not being taken seriously.)

This store is fine except for the staff member with the silver colored shoulder length hair. Every time I've been inside and dealt with her I'm given an attitude and condensed and treated with indifference. I won't go back inside because of her.

I spent 27 minutes on line at the drive through this morning. There were 4 cars in front of me when I decided to chance it. When I finally reached the window after 23 minutes I still ended up waiting 4 more minutes on my (simple) order. And then, when I received my Iced Americano it had roughly 7 small ice cubes that promptly melted, leaving a tepid drink. Your business model caters to random app users rather than actual paying customers who are present in your store. Numerous drinks waiting on people who are not there and crowds of actual people waiting on drinks that have been pushed into the end of the line. I won't be back. Now your corporate feedback form says there is no store at the relevant address: 1394 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620 ... and it will not allow me to enter correct date/time .... nice!

Every Friday morning it’s an older man with bad customer service. I asked to use my rewards and the man yelled you only have 178 points and I ask if I can use it on a bakery item he ignored and proceed . Need a different drive thru person in early mornings.

Went in at 12:20 PM and by 12:50 PM still had not received all of our drinks. The girl was very rude and said that mobile orders come before ours and even made one drink and stopped and did not make the others. if this store can’t handle a lot of customers then they need to get new management and hire more staff. Fire Nahid ASAP! End up having to get a refund and go down the street to Dunkin’ Donuts!

Due to corporate decisions (that I heard were made without bargaining, ew) the hours changed AGAIN with has completely boned the nurses, doctors and first responders that would frequent this place at night. If it was due to safety issues, a high profiting corporation like Starbucks could surely hirer extra night staff, or a security guard to help make the place more secure? Additionally lack of consistent staffing make it obvious that those who are there, are overwhelmed and miserable. Whoever the manager is here needs to go back to business school and think about what they are doing. That being said, the staff is always nice and courteous and does their best with what scraps they are given, but I cannot recommend this Starbucks due to how they treat their employees and how they have to regard for the customer base they serve.

I didn't want to give my favorite store a negative review, but recently I couldn't stand it anymore. This store has been weird since the renovation. It always closes in the afternoon and only takes drive through, but both the Starbucks app and Google Maps show that you can buy in store. It took me 20 minutes to walk here in the heat, but all the doors were closed. There were only clerks in the store. Hey, that's ridiculous! Since you don't need customers who can enter the store, can you not renovate the store?

I came here today 11/07/21 around 1:15pm and went through the drive through. The girl who took my order was very nice. When I got to the window there was a young man window and he did not open his mouth to speak not one time! I He just stuck the card reader out I paid and said thank you and nothing not one word from him! Very rude and just not a good look and he needs to fix that attitude and energy!

I told them I am allergic to milk so please make sure it’s oat milk. This not the first time. Waste $6.05 had to through it away. I was late for work so couldn’t even go back to complain. I went through the drive thru this morning and ordered a drink and a bagel. I paid with cash and pulled off without my bagel. I noticed about an hour later when I started to wonder why I was feeling so hungry. I called the store to let them know I didn't get my bagel and the lady that answered told me that I pulled off with my latte without paying for it. I told her she was incorrect. I handed the lady at the drive thru a $10 bill and the lady ask me if I wanted my change. I told them to look at the security camera because I paid. She just said ok. Didn't offer to allow me to get my bagel or report it to the store manager. I was robbed and lied on by an employee and no measures were taken to correct it for me. I hate to assume but to me this was clearly a case of an employee stealing from thier employer. They didn’t count on me calling to report my missing that bagel I paid for.

Very unfriendly staff. I’m a student and went there over the weekend to sit and work on my laptop while enjoying my coffee. I ordered two cups of coffee, and after about an hour I politely asked for a cup of water. The staff responded rudely, saying I should have asked for water at the same time as my order, even though I had been in the store the entire time and had not left. This experience was disappointing and unwelcoming.

People of color should not patronize this place. They surveille poc customers and harass us over the most ridiculous things. They especially fixate on the idea that only paying customers are allowed inside, and are quick to harass and kick out people that sit in without buying something, but only if you are a poc of course. White people sit in there for hours without buying anything and somehow are never noticed, but a poc customer can be in the same spot doing the same thing but are somehow always noticed and asked to leave. Even when you do buy something as a poc whoever the pathetic one is hiding in the back again always has reasons to send the young baristas over to harass you. They even change the bathroom code all the time to prevent previously paying customers from using it unless they buy something again. Also, don't bother trying to charge your devices here if it's important to you to have that option. It's obvious they put very low energy in those outlets so it always takes several hours longer than it should. They are truly exploitative people. It isn't worth spending a cent here especially as a poc. It follows a clear cultural bias in Rochester at large, where they hide behind their monuments to Frederick Douglass, while terrorizing their bipoc citizens while using race neutral language (they usually frame it as classist - "you have to pay/we're not open to the public"). Why support this kind of business? Also their only vegan options are basically just few drinks and small food options. There are many better places to go. To the management: this isn't the only place a review will be written.

Hate to leave a bad review but we will go out of our way to go to a different location. This is the third time this location has messed up our drinks. We ordered a double dirty chai and venti Matcha. There was no shots in our dirty chai (but we paid for it) and we didn't notice until later. I noticed right away the matcha was pure powder and they "fixed" it, but it tasted awful. Still powdery chunks of matcha and basically tasted like milk. I really go out of my way to leave positive reviews and avoid the negative. Everyone here is hard working and kind. But we've been burned at this location a few times now with the wrong drinks, which has never happened to us at other locations.

Every time I come to this location, my coffee order is wrong. It’s always missing something. I’ve been getting the same coffee order from the one on west Henrietta road for 5 years but the college town location is always off! This is the second time and free coffee doesn’t negate your mistakes. It’s simple make it right the first time.

People of color should not patronize this place. They surveille poc customers and harass us over the most ridiculous things. They especially fixate on the idea that only paying customers are allowed inside, and are quick to harass and kick out people that sit in without buying something, but only if you are a poc of course. White people sit in there for hours without buying anything and somehow are never noticed, but a poc customer can be in the same spot doing the same thing but are somehow always noticed and asked to leave. Even when you do buy something as a poc whoever the pathetic one is hiding in the back again always has reasons to send the young baristas over to harass you. They even change the bathroom code all the time to prevent previously paying customers from using it unless they buy something again. Also, don't bother trying to charge your devices here if it's important to you to have that option. It's obvious they put very low energy in those outlets so it always takes several hours longer than it should. They are truly exploitative people. It isn't worth spending a cent here especially as a poc. It follows a clear cultural bias in Rochester at large, where they hide behind their monuments to Frederick Douglass, while terrorizing their bipoc citizens while using race neutral language (they usually frame it as classist - "you have to pay/we're not open to the public"). Why support this kind of business? Also their only vegan options are basically just few drinks and small food options. There are many better places to go. To the management: this isn't the only place a review will be written.

Went to this location the other day absolutely terrible! i ordered a mocha cookie crumble and watched the girl make it and not rinse the blender from the drink prior, there was chunks from the other drink, i could taste it and she was very rude to me. i will not be coming back there and i checked her name tag taryn, Do better starbucks you just lost a loyal customer genuinely one of the worst experiences iv ever had at a starbucks

Hate to leave a bad review but we will go out of our way to go to a different location. This is the third time this location has messed up our drinks. We ordered a double dirty chai and venti Matcha. There was no shots in our dirty chai (but we paid for it) and we didn't notice until later. I noticed right away the matcha was pure powder and they "fixed" it, but it tasted awful. Still powdery chunks of matcha and basically tasted like milk. I really go out of my way to leave positive reviews and avoid the negative. Everyone here is hard working and kind. But we've been burned at this location a few times now with the wrong drinks, which has never happened to us at other locations.

These baristas don’t know how to make matcha. Just tastes like oat milk at this location, and if you ask them to fix it, they will charge you (unlike most locations).

Every time I come to this location, my coffee order is wrong. It’s always missing something. I’ve been getting the same coffee order from the one on west Henrietta road for 5 years but the college town location is always off! This is the second time and free coffee doesn’t negate your mistakes. It’s simple make it right the first time.

worker noticed she made me tho wrong drink and just handed it to me anyway. correct cold foam but no where near the right flavor of drink. waited too long to not have a good experience, 20 minute wait.
