Great IHOP location. I think its the only one left in the Rochester area. It was busy when i went but managed to get a booth with an incredible waitress. Very attentive and super informative. Even though its a big chain the food was actually decent. The hustle of an old school diner is definitely present. I would be returning hopefully soon. Matthew Out ✌️

My family and I went to IHOP for a late breakfast/ early lunch. We got there at 11:30 and was seated immediately. Our server was very kind and attentive. She even brought the baby a snack because she was fussy while waiting for the food. The food came out hot and delicious. We loved our service ❤️

The food was really good. The service could have been a bit better. We had 3 people order coffee and the waitress didn't bring a carafe and didn't bring more creamer although we asked for more. There were only 2 other tables with customers so it wasn't as if she was too busy. I'd return again, she wasn't horrible and I don't expect superior service at IHOP, but the one thing I LOVE about IHOP is their coffee and the carafe since the cups are so small.

Our last visit wasn't great but we know every one has an off day. Today we were seated shortly after arriving. Our waitress TONIA was wonderful. She greeted us with a smile, made eye contact & helped with our questions about the menu. She checked on us a few times but was neither hovering over us or missing in action at any given time. I enjoyed the food, with everything tasting great. My husband didn't care for his as much but he never said why. We will go back again. Your greeter, waitstaff & cooks have improved greatly!

Our waitress wasn't as attentive as I like however, it was busy. She still did a good job. The glasses have water spots which seems unclean to me so they could fix that, and the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom was broke and the toilet paper was stored on the floor. That's just gross to me. Aside from that all the staff seems friendly. There was a cheerful upbeat atmosphere from the staff. The onions rings were the best I've ever had and the cheeseburger was very tasty! Would definitely return!

The inside resembles a dying business, but the customer service was pretty good, the server Rochelle was very friendly and the food was good, you can just kind of tell that business is not good at this time as it was super empty. The manager looks like he smashes beer cans on his forehead for his friends as entertainment, his shirt didn't fit, his pants didn't fit, so you must acquit or make him manager. 😂

I give it a 3-star only because of the second server I requested, the first one names Franklyn really grinded my gears when he was upset when I asked for cleaner silverware and when I requested a new server I was so happy to meet Judeae who kept a smile on her face and made sure I had everything I needed. Even offered me plastic ware instead! She’s the only reason why I would ever go back to this place! I appreciate her hearing my concern and making sure me and my husband had the best experience despite The other rude server we had at first. I honestly believe she should be promoted and now I come in just to see her.

Let us start with the service. Patience is crucial when dining here. It is not uncommon to wait over 20 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes for your order to be taken. After that, expect a 30 to 40-minute wait for your food to arrive. When your food finally does arrive, the eggs are often cold or lukewarm. It appears that they are consistently understaffed. I understand that these things can happen occasionally, but it seems to be a recurring issue. The waitresses seem to be doing their best, but they are only human, and it would be unfair to place all the blame on them. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of managerial presence. I believe that when such situations arise, regardless of one's position, it is important to take action and assist in resolving the issue. I have experienced this situation several times while dining at this establishment. Waiting over an hour for breakfast is excessive in my opinion. Additionally, the portion size of the eggs seems to be decreasing while the price remains the same.

I have only dined in at IHOP but never had it delivered. I was feeling unwell so I ordered delivery for myself and family. I paid extra for some sides and they weren’t in the bag. Then I ordered the NY style cheesecake pancakes. I just received plain pancakes with strawberries on the side. What I ordered was on the receipt. The last time I went to this location was in person and the service was really slow and it wasn’t a busy time and not the best quality. I try to give a place the benefit of the doubt but definitely won’t be spending money again at this location.

When I first arrived to Irondequoit and tried this IHOP I instantly fell in love with the eggs! It's so good other than my own that I make at home. Now your food has always been perfect I even raved about it on social media but here lately it is slowly tumbling. I'm from the main part so sorry about your luck if you can't handle tough love criticism. I want you guys to succeed and I believe this place can but the manager needs to hire more people and I went on a weekend one time to eat over there and one guy was WAY too cocky and there are two or three girls who were talking and being lazy. They acted like they were on the show clueless from the 90s. I know you guys get busy and the customers don't expect it to be perfect ALL the time but this last time you guys forgot my eggs so I wasted money and were your regulars. We won't stop ordering food from you guys and we respect you but please get this fix or it'll cost the company and potentially your job.

OK so I LOVED this breakfast restaurant when I was a kid. It was my favorite. But it went drastically downhill a few years ago. I'm talking waiting an hour plus for the order to be incorrect. Staffing shortage as well. Most likely the cause of the problems. I stopped going for years. I recently tried IHOP agein and had a little bit better experience. The food was correct and I didn't wait long. It was good like it used to be. Although my mother did not like her food. Quality might be inconsistent. I enjoyed my latest visit to IHOP but probably wouldn't give it a second try due to my mother's negative review. Torn on this place. I don't really recommend it but I don't discorge coming either.

Our server Haley B. took both food and drink order. Waited another 10 minutes before getting our drinks. Our server tended to a table that was sat about 10 minutes after us. Our waitress finally asked us about drink refills after all our glasses were empty and said our food would be right out. We waited another 23 minutes before receiving food. When the food arrived she threw it down on the edge of the table and walked away. We asked for boxes and she just walked away. We were missing food but had waited so long for what we originally ordered we decided it wasn’t worth it and we left with what we had. Initially we thought maybe it’s just busy and tough but we watched 2 other tables sit, order, and leave without their food before we even got checked on about refills. The food itself was fantastic however, the service was not great! The host seating people said more words to us than our server did in a 2 hour span.

We went to the Irondequoit, NY IHop recently for an early morning breakfast and will not go back. There was a significant size group teens hanging out in the restaurant not eating, but not leaving. The manager was very busy with phone/ online orders, so she didn't have time to check out what was going on with the young people. We stayed and ordered a meal of eggs, that was good enough and booked.

Our server was really sweet. The food was cold and had to be sent back for reheat, only good thing was the hasbrowns, they were 🔥🔥🔥🔥 atmosphere wise there was fruit flies flying everywhere.

Got there and waited 45 min to be seated even though there was open tables everywhere but I really wanted to try the food going be honest it was horrible I got the cheesecake pancakes the taste like strawberry pancakes didn't taste no cheese cake at all I got the combo meal got eggs over easy the eggs came to me over cooked no yolk just hard the toast was hard as a rock and to top all that off the pancakes was the smallest pancake I think I have ever seen I will never return here again

The food was okay at best, the atmosphere is rather cheap and unprofessional. They also tend to get your order wrong when it comes time to pay. The service is also slow.

Not sure if they are understaffed or everyone is just new, but the service is terrible at this location. While the staff was friendly they are also inattentive, forgetful, and don't seem to have a handle on basic service for a diner. Had to ask several times for silverware, which I then had to get up and retrieve myself. Bringing water to the table is standard, but never received any. Even just fill ups on coffee seemed a chore. Had to wait a while for service, which seemed to be true of most of the other tables as well. Staff congregates to talk instead of paying attention to their tables. The food was adequate, but everything just seemed so difficult it wasn't even worth it. Feel like they should close down for a few weeks and really train their staff, or get better management.

The food has been good in my experience and dining in has not been a problem for me in my few experiences coming here. As for curb side pick up that is a completely different experience. Was given time to come by, came by later and was still told to wait another 45 mins. I came back 50 mins later just to come in and not be acknowledged along with other people. They were so unorganized that our food was just sitting there, they simply didn’t bother to take a few seconds to call the names or ask us our names, we had to basically walk up and attempt to find our names ourselves. Apparently this is what they expect according to one of there employees.

It was a very appealing location for my friends and I this morning. We'd been looking forward to it all week, but the reality was frankly disappointing. It took almost a half hour for anyone to take our order. The staff seemed aloof and unapproachable. Our waitress had an airpod in and half the time it felt like she just wasn't listening. The food tastwd great, but the amount you get for the price just isnt worth it. I could spend the same amount at Dennys and get better service and have enough food for a to go tray. And to cap off this overall lackluster experience, the waitress messed up one of our checks, and took another fifteen time to assist us with paying our bill so we could get on with our day.

My wife and I were seated within a few minutes of walking in. The dining room was maybe half full. The server took our order, which then took approx 30 minutes to be brought to our table. There were tables that were seated 10-15 minutes after us being served before us by other servers while we waited. Drinks were just placed on the table in front of a single person instead of in front of who ordered them. The plates were handed to us as the server refused to place them on the table. The server basically ignored us completely unless we explicitly called her over for every little thing from coffee to condiments when and if we saw her. She never asked us if we wanted to go containers for our standard orders or more of the all you can eat pancakes we had ordered (which we didnt get any beyond the initial orders, as the next time we saw her she just randomly brough us our check and walked away after placing it on the table). Appeared to have an "I don't care" entitled attitude in every interaction we had with her. Will never return.

Extremely slow and poor service from our server. She never greeted us nor introduced herself. "What drinks would you like?" was the initial question. She disappeared and came back. "Yall know what yall want yet?" was the second. When our food came 40 minutes later, our turkey bacon could have cooked for at least 20 of the 40 minutes we waited. We never received our refills we asked for. We waited for our check for quite some time and found our server on her phone. A busboy ended up clearing our table and letting our swrvwr know that we were ready for our check. In the process, staff began to argue. This place is beyond unacceptable with how things transpire. This was my first time here in almost 4 years. My meal was disrespectful. I ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was fried so hard like it was old. The waffles were burned. The worst experience on my trip to Rochester, very bad service, the waitress took our order and never passed it to the kitchen, and after a long wait, finally my plate arrived and not my husband's, so we proceeded to eat that plate together, they don't have the slightest idea of ​​meat terms (Sirloin) and also in the eggs I got a ball of something strange that was not edible. On June 29th, 2024 I ordered online at 7:13am. When my food arrived, the bag was complete sealed as sent from the restaurant. However, they never sent me my pancakes which I paid $7.50. I called the restaurant for claim it and the guy said will refund it. I noticed that this is not going to happen. I summited a complain online. Days later I called customer service, and she said to call back today Tuesday to give enough time to resolve the issue. I'm calling back and the system says they are closed and sent me to a voice mail. How can they steal money like that?! Worst service ever!

After being seated, it was about 10 minutes before a server came to take our order. After 45 minutes of still not getting our order, the server came over and said our order would be out soon, 10 more minutes passed and still no food. We just got up and left. The establishment was really dirty, feet sticking to the floor.

Another customer was clearly abusing her child and staff were catering to her. Waitress came after another 10 minutes and tried to confirm our orders with completely wrong order. Table next to us were given our order. We walked out and denied wanting to speak to a manager. We ended up at Atlantic Restaurant instead after Applebee's was over packed. Atlantic is a great restaurant.

We’ve eaten here before and it’s always sub-par but my son loves it and keeps asking to go back. Today, however, really takes the cake. We were quoted a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. 45 minutes later we still were not sat and the kitchen was “so backed up” that they told us it would be another 30-45 minutes to get food once we did sit. They continued to take takeout orders despite not being able to fill the ones they had waiting. Just absolutely ridiculous all around.

Went to this location excited for a delicious IHOP breakfast. It was Saturday morning but the place wasn't too crowded. After a short wait, we were able to place our order. After some time, we still didn't have drinks and never saw our waitress again. After a total of over 40 minutes of no interaction, drinks, or any sign of food, we noticed everyone else who had arrived after us had their drinks and had begun getting their food. Finally we decided to leave. This was one of the only times in my life I've walked out of a restaurant. It was a very unfortunate experience as IHOP is one of my favorite restaurants. We waited for as long as we could, but there was no way of knowing if food was ever going to arrive.

Server Christina deliverd the worst possible dining experience I've ever had the misfortune of going through said prolly 3 words the entire time to take orders never checked back for refills and had an attitude when we told her the food was cold and undercooked there was no one else in the restaurant and it was almost 3 hours before they closed. I haven’t been to this iHop since it opened. The place was dirty with sticky floors my water cup had floating parrticles didn’t drink it.. Our food was not cooked well and of very poor quality. When I asked our server to replace my meal or refund it the manager didn’t come to our table and denied a refund only replaced my shredded hash browns which where dehydrated cut into a flat rectangle very oily greasy not edible. We ended up leaving and taking the food which I discarded. I attempted to message corporate but no response. Unfortunately this location I do not recommend. Hopefully they get new management or clean it up and serve fresh cooked properly food.

I would like to start off by saying that I have been to this IHOP location before and didn’t have any issues. Today was different. I had my bonus sons with me for lunch. The waitress came and took our order. Shortly after she took our order, we heard her and the kitchen staff and possibly the manager arguing. They were screaming and swearing at each other. The dining room was half full of people, including several children. When she brought our drinks back, she only brought two waters instead of three. One of the boys ordered a milkshake, but she said she had to go make it still and she had to go get the ice cream for it and all the other ingredients. I’m not sure why the weight staff is responsible for that. I would think that the kitchen staff would be. When our food arrived, part of my order was missing. I ordered a side of hashbrowns with my breakfast burrito. The waitress handed me pancakes instead. I told her that I didn’t order them and she said they came with my breakfast, but they were not mine. (I discovered later when I got the bill that they actually belonged to the breakfast that one of the boys ordered.) I asked her if she could bring me a side of hashbrowns and she said they would be right up. She never brought them. She also never returned with more coffee, which I did ask for, but I have never had to ask for a coffee refill there before. When she brought the check, the hashbrowns were still on there. I asked her if she could take them off the bill because I never got them. I also asked her if she could bring one more carry out box. She was clearly annoyed by my request and snatched the bill off the table and walked away. I heard her talking to her manager about The hashbrowns and he told her just to take them off the bill. When she returned with the readjusted check, she slammed it and the carryout container on the table. She walked away and came back with a paper bag. She opened it quite aggressively, and dropped it on the floor next to one of the boys. The fact that I spent $80 for food that was subpar, not so great service, and a terrible atmosphere does not sit right with me. As I said, I’ve been to this location before and have not had any issues. Every other time I’ve been there, the staff has been friendly and accommodating, and the food has been very, very good. I’m extremely disappointed by today’s visit and honestly may never come back again after that. Food issues aside, there was absolutely no reason why any of those staff member should’ve been screaming and swearing at each other in front of a dining room, half full of people, including children. It was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. I understand the frustrations of working in food service because I did it for many years, but there is a time in a place for that type of behavior.

Horrible place. Drove 2 hours with family to come here for breakfast. Haven't been to an ihop in 10 years. Food was cold, staff unfriendly, manager was rude, very filthy, not one good thing I can mention. Never again..

I understand it was Christmas Eve but no it took 15 minutes for us to be seated. And then guess the cook was taking his sweet time and certain people got upset and then the waitress was talking smack and yeah then me and my girlfriend walked out didn't order anything. Also it was dirty and smelly wow visiting Rochester NY for the holidays and the I Hope gone downhill very sad.

I'm still waiting on my food but I ordered delivery through the website and when it wasn't updating (nearly an hour later) to anyone picking it up I called to check on it (the website shows DD doing the delivery but only gives you the store as a help option). Instead of having any conversation or being any help, whoever was on the phone passed me to someone who spoke over me telling me to deal with it because they don't personally deliver never letting me actually ask a question or state my concern, then hung up on me. Coincidentally the website updated during the call that someone was heading to pick it up, but I've no idea how fresh my food will be at this point. Terrible customer service. I deal with customers all day and would never.

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the place was a disaster. The hostess took forever to seat us even though there were plenty of empty tables. When we finally sat down, the table was sticky, the silverware was dirty, and it took way too long just to get someone to take our order. Then came the food if you can even call it that. The pancakes were dry and rubbery, the eggs were overcooked and tasted like cardboard, and the bacon was a sad, greasy mess. I asked for my hash browns to be crispy, and they came out barely cooked, just a pile of soggy potatoes. On top of that, my coffee tasted burnt and old, like it had been sitting for hours. To make things even worse, the service was atrocious. The server was rude, barely checked on us, and acted like we were a burden. I had to ask multiple times for basic things like syrup and napkins. And the worst part? The bill didn’t reflect the terrible quality still overpriced for what we got. This place is an absolute joke. Filthy, slow, and overpriced. Save yourself the frustration and eat literally anywhere else. I will NEVER be coming back.

Me and my fiance dined in rats were running all over the place at 3:00 am! Barely was able to go into the rest room because rats constantly running back and fourth. I spoke with one of the employees about what was going on and he stated well this is “RAT CHESTER” I’m never eating there again I’m so turned off that place is infested ‼️ feel sick to my stomach ‼️ Food was rushed and very little portions I would not be returning to this location never again.

Coming for breakfast, got in at 1140. Haven’t got food till 1240. Left without food, they still have audacity to charge me for two coffee that taste like water. Will never come here again

My pancakes had no glaze for them it’s pose to be a cinnamon roll but with only chocolate sauce I ordered online the worst experience ever never again I spent $60 on food today very disappointed 😔 my $4 cup of chocolate milk was half way filled I had to go inside and complain about it jus to get home and notice nothing to my cinnamon pancakes was in the bag !!!!

Server said exactly 3 words the entire time, food was stone cold, gravy looked and tasted like it cane out of the sink, waitress served us then returned an hour later with the check not a single check in or refill for over an hour. Waited 30 minutes for the check on top of it. And through it all we were the only table sat. I don't usually write bad reviews but dude.....

The energy was frantic, with no clear sense of organization or professionalism from the staff. This lack of basic hospitality was a glaring red flag from the start. Unfortunately, this disorganization continued once my meal arrived. The food was warm, but barely, and the presentation was a mess. It was evident that poor handling had taken place, and the meal was nearly inedible. As someone with years of experience in the service industry, I was appalled by the lack of care in the food preparation. While I sat waiting for someone to address the issue, I saw no effort from the management to step in or offer an explanation. After twenty minutes of silence, I had to request a manager from my server, who remained patient and kind despite the growing chaos around her. When the manager finally arrived, I was met with a female supervisor whose appearance immediately struck me as unprofessional. She wore a mask that appeared worn and dirty, making me question how someone in a leadership position could appear so unkempt around food. Instead of taking responsibility for the situation, the manager offered weak excuses about why my experience was subpar—ranging from poor service to bad food quality—without offering any tangible solutions. This only further underscored the lack of accountability and professionalism at the establishment. Having worked in the service industry for years, I can say that what I witnessed at this IHOP was more than just a series of unfortunate events. It was a clear breakdown in leadership and a reflection of systemic mismanagement. The dysfunction of the restaurant was not an isolated incident, but a pattern that I’ve noticed in many other reviews. It’s evident that this location is struggling with both internal communication and staff cohesion, which only worsens the dining experience for guests. Despite all of these issues, there was one shining light in the experience: my server, Juju. She was an absolute delight, a breath of fresh air in an otherwise chaotic environment. Despite being overwhelmed by the lack of support from management, Juju remained attentive, resilient, and positive. I could feel the stress she was under, but she carried herself with professionalism and grace. Without her, I likely would have left, but her genuine care for my experience allowed me to stay and enjoy my time—despite the disarray around me. Juju was a true representation of what great service should be, and I want to give her all the credit she deserves. She went above and beyond, ensuring I felt heard and valued despite the challenging circumstances. Her ability to smile, joke, and provide excellent service reminded me why I prefer dining-in over takeout—because we’re looking for an experience. If IHOP wants to salvage any reputation at this location, they need to take a hard look at the management and staff, and prioritize the kind of leadership that Juju exemplified. Thank you, Juju, for being a light in a dark, dreary, and poorly managed restaurant.

Very very bad everything but the pancakes. Poor quality, very bad tasting, hashbrows were disgusting and rock hard couldnt even bite it. Had very little quality eggs that tast and felt like rubber. The toast was hard as a rock. I didnt even eat any of this! Ordered online, went in about 15 to 20 mins for pickuptime and waited for over 10 mins in the lobby for service and my food, drove home is 2 minutes everything was ice cold and disgusting like its been sitting for hours. Never again!

Over 30 min to have my food delivered to my table and it was wrong. 3x to get my food right (it was a simple over medium egg that kept coming uncooked basically), so I ordered overcooked and it finally showed up as over medium and after over 1.5 hours there, the food was not great. Medíocre at best. 100% sure that I won't be coming back.

The wait time was too long and when I got my scrambled eggs they were not cooked long enough but this place is pretty good at the same time

Don’t get me wrong, the food was really good. But the waiter we got was very very rude. As soon as we walked in, not a word to us until I spoke, and just took us to a table. He pressured me into ordering something that I didn’t even get to think on. And didn’t speak to us the entire time we were there even though I was constantly thanking him for bringing the food. Yet, all the other people he was bringing in, he was complimenting and being incredibly nice to. I don’t understand the treatment we got for absolutely no reason. We were nothing but nice and thankful. When we got the check, he brought us a broken pen and I even tried to fix it. On our way out to the car he came out yelling, asking what happened to the pen. I think he was upset that he didn’t get a tip. I’m sorry, I usually don’t complain like this. And I hate not giving a tip when possible, but he just didn’t deserve it. Maybe he’s having a bad day, but that doesn’t excuse the way we were treated today. It’s a very nice place, kind of a weird location, but my trip overall was just ruined by this man. He was a young black man with long dreads. I hope he decides to never treat people like that again.

This place is a very nice place to get food. Beautiful breakfast. I went here recently and the waiter i had was absurdly disrespectful. He slammed our food on the table and completely disregarded when we accidentally spilled a drink, never gave napkins or anything, had to use my jacket. He gives us the check later says nothing just throws it at us and walks away. He come back to get it and literally snatched it from my hand. He comes back with a pen and the 2 receipts. The pen is broken in half for some reason and we give no tip obviously. When we leave he runs out of the establishment and yells "what happened to the pen!!?" I tell him that it was given like that and he walks back inside. He seemed to treat us differently to the other customers for whatever reason. He was nice to others but extremely rude to us. He was a young black male with long hair and dreads. I will not be coming back because of him.

Ok so my wife and I went there and they only had one table a big party they came over and said it would be a 45 minute to an hour wait but if we wanted food we could order Togo. They were not very pleasant about the the situation. Then they had a problem with the big group and said they were closing till they got everything dealt with and so they could get caught back up. So we waited in are car. We finally got in and got food. Why'll were waiting for are check we saw to big mice come from out of entrance the waitress station and and to the hostess station. We said something to the waitress or manager can't remember who it was. They weren't surprised and just were like ya we know and said it doesn't surprise her . Like really and threw the whole experience to get food they didn't care that we saw two mice . Very disappointed.

Didn't even get to eat food there. The place was short-staffed so there were plenty of tables empty for people to be seated at yet there was nobody available to seat us, I heard a gentleman mentioning they were backed up pretty bad to where they were still on their first ticket, it'd been probably 10 minutes after we waited, another couple came in and asked how long, they give them a guessed time as more people were coming in, the place is just too short staffed to be ready for a big group of people on a Sunday

I ordered T-bone steak dinner and it was well done when I ordered medium rare . Then ALYSSA started talking about us loudly when we sent it back . I ate the spinach so I told them I’ll pay for the spinach but they took the whole meal off . ALYSSA then commented how we were cheap black people and just didn’t want to pay . She’s racist and I will be posting this on TikTok too !

I am a generous reviewer and rarely give one star reviews. However, the food at this IHOP is atrocious. We ordered takeout and my French toast was completely raw on the inside (see the picture for reference). The pancakes were also strangely crispy and not soft or fluffy. A real shame because I typically like IHOP, but I will not be coming back to this location.

My family ventured to this IHOP, since we haven’t been in a while. We were immediately disappointed. To start, we were seated but didn’t receive service for at least 15 minutes. When someone finally made it to our table, she said “What is your drink order?” No hello, good morning, or anything else. When we got our drinks, the strawberry lemonade was syrup unmixed into the lemonade— and too much. The coffee cups came empty and it took another 10 minutes to actually get the coffee poured and food order in. The server was confused with the term “sunny-side up” eggs, even though all the menu photos show sunny side eggs. She insisted we wanted something different, which was quite rude. The food came after a very long wait, and the eggs were uncooked. One order of sunny eggs was perfect, the other was raw. There were also missing items. When we asked our server for a correction, she said “let me get your server.” We had no clue who was actually supposed to be taking care of us. By the time they got us corrected eggs, all the food was cold. Finally, we asked for the bill to leave. After looking at the bill, we noticed we were charged for toast we never even received. It was such a bad experience that we just paid on the app and left, since it would’ve probably taken twice as long to get wait for a server to come back around. I would like to clarify, it was not busy when we arrived at 10:30 but it did pick up about halfway through service. We left at noon. I couldn’t recommend this place LESS.
