Zanata is an AMAZING little restaurant! The food is absolutely divine from their pizzas, to their dish and their specials. The staff is really friendly and in top of things. Excellent customer service and the place always packed. It was our first time, definitely going again! Our waitress Shelby was amazing, professional, available, and professional. Highly recommend this place. They really cook food Italian style!

We always love Zanata. I had a great time hanging with my friend. I wish they had a bigger bar so more people could sit there because I think it’s always fun to sit there. The service did slow down a bit, but I guess it’s hard to take care of everyone and then their work times where the bartenders were chatting, but overall, I loved it.

Food was amazing. Our waiter provided excellent service and was super friendly. Big portions with very reasonable price. Would definitely go back again. The "Z" Burger, Steak Salad and Mussels were delicious.

Stopped by lunch on a Monday afternoon and the place was pretty busy. Says a lot right there! Especially for a restaurant that is in downtown old Rockwall. The food was great. I loved my chicken Alfredo and got approved pepperoni and sausage pizza. The dishes flavors was nothing short of 5 stars.

Hadn’t been here in years and the food is still top-notch. I had the Pork Chop with a side of Lobster Risotto and Broccolini. My wife enjoyed a pizza. You can’t go wrong with this place. When we lived nearby, we’d always come early to beat the dinner crowd and find a place to park.

Wow, absolutely fantastic meal. From the Z house salad to the Sunday Roasted Chicken. The flavors are incredible! Large portions as well. So sharing is always an option. Can’t wait to come back.

We tried this place for a late lunch. When we arrived they were quite busy for a late afternoon. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server Christian came by and we order our drinks and an appetizer Crab Stuffed Avocado which came out quickly and was delicious. We ordered a Three Little Pigs Pizza which was made to perfection. We enjoyed the flavor and crust was cooked perfectly. We ate the whole Pizza. For dessert we ordered the Banana Foster. They make all their pastries in house. When it arrived it was put together so well and just looked picture perfect. This was not true New Orleans Banana Foster but was delicious just the same. Kevin the owner came by our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. If you do have an issue please let him know, he will make it right for you. We found the restaurant clean as well as the restrooms. You can watch your Pizza be made. The person preparing the Pizzas hand toss and stretches the dough. Lots of fun watching the cook very meticulously place the toppings and cooking each Pizza. We will be returning here again and again.

My daughter and husband surprised me for my birthday, 12/23. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This place was full on a Monday evening but I loved the ambiance. The food was seasoned to perfection. Loved our waiter. This will be my new place to dine.

What wonderful place! My wife and I have eaten here several times, over the last few years with friends or family, and each meal has been lovely. Most recently, Kevin, Jonathan and Madi hosted my group of 22 for our small business Christmas party, with much success. We all were treated so well, from the moment we arrived, throughout the meal, and until we walked out together to stroll downtown with the last few couples who shared in the splendid evening… I only heard great things from all my guests; some delicious offerings our group truly enjoyed included the large, savory meatball appetizer plate (many folks also mentioned how perfect the sauce tasted), Tuscan board, and Gorgonzola cheese board. During dinner, I saw ALL smiles as several of my guests savored a quite unique hand made pumpkin ravioli, generously portioned and well seasoned pork chops, angry shrimp n grits, among other well-made staples. The capstone for me personally was seeing my beautiful wife, enjoying a bite of tiramisu wearing an angelic smile, as she was able to relax and enjoy the warm conversation. The night seemed magical to her! Lighting and mood all seemed well considered, as I even noticed the lights dim at just the right moment. This truly is a gem, and worth returning for more relaxing memories. We feel right at home. Thank you Kevin, and all the crew at your Zanata!

We were invited to Dinner and were told they served delicious food. I have to say," I must agree!" Everything was so good. Their meatballs, their Paella, the Crab Dip, their RibEye Steak, the Salmon and more was on point. The place is nice and cozy and the service was Awesome. I can't wait to go back. My wife picked out this spot because the pictures of the food looked good. We had the tomato basil soup, ciabatta bread, 3 pigs in a blanket pizza, standard pizza, and the chocolate flour less cake. The soup was good it had lumps of tomatoes in it, so it was not pureed, along with some croutons. The standard pizza tasted doughy in the center and crisp along the circumference. It could be because it wasn't in the wood fire long enough. We would pass on the chocolate flour less cake of we had it again, but the gelato that came with it was the redeemer for the dish. As for the ambiance it was attractive for a date night, it has a lot of character for an old building. The only thing I would suggest is to clean your AC return registers they are filthy.

Grits was not cooked at all. Please make sure chef checks the food going out. Pastrami and bacon on the 3 little pigs were way too salty. Sausage was ok. I know pastrami is salty, but that is next level salty. Someone needs to check the meats before using them in the night service. Meatball appetizer was hard. Sauce was good on the meatball.
