They had a wide variety of items. Everything is clearly labelled and staff is very friendly. I revisited this restaurant very early because of taste and options available. My favorite is Fried Shrimp, Pepper chicken and Jalapeño Chicken, Fried Beans. Everything is perfectly cooked. We tried some noodles at the live counter and that is delicious. Don’t forget to taste their deserts and strawberry ice-cream. Fruits, veggies and lettuce are fresh. Each of them is making sure that all items are filled in the trays and nothing is empty all the time. I am gonna visit back soon.
A huge turnaround for this place with the new owners. They are passionate about their business and you can see it as soon as you walk in. The interior renovation is so cool, reminiscent of old school diners,. The staff always refill your drinks and make sure you are taken care of. Food is regularly changed over based on time, not just if it is empty, to ensure everything is fresh. The food quality is amazing and everything tastes fresh. Very happy that we finally have a decent sit down restaurant on walnut. Come here at least once a week. Give it a try!
I have been waiting for an Asian buffet that I really enjoyed and I've FINALLY found one! I went for the first time today and was very happy with the food and the service. I had sushi, bao buns, hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, and many other traditional dishes. There were only 2 items I tried that I didn't like, but I think they just aren't my taste. Do yourself a favor and go give them a try!
Had lunch here a few times, never been dissatisfied yet. Staff is very friendly and food was delicious and had some good variety. Will need to try the Hibachi next time but the buffet was well worth the visits. EDIT: I finally tried the takeout here. Wow! The lunch special is a great price and you get so much more food than the other takeout places nearby, enough for about 2-3 meals on a single lunch special. Will definitely be ordering to-go more often!
Good, but expensive. I've wanted to try this place for a while, and when I saw they had crab legs at the buffet, decided to stop in after church on Sunday. Foodwise, verything was good; no complaints about anything except the crab legs (but hey, it's crab legs!). For my first four passes, they were out, and when they were finally restocked, I was a little let down. They were all on the small side, served cold and overly-wet (the meat was saturated and stringy). Besides that, everything was good. Multiple kinds of chicken, beef, fish and other seafood. They also have four kinds of soup and a sushi bar. The hibachi, while somewhat limited, was especially nice. The biggest surprise for me were the spicy wings, which tasted like traditional buffalo wings! While I did come on the weekend (higher buffet price), the $24 price plus drink, tax and tip came out to $35. That's too much for an individual lunch in my book. The food was good, but that pricetag will prevent me from returning.
The previous chinese buffet at rhis location was horrific (super dirty and lousy food), so when we heard about new ownership and good reviews, we went to try it out. What a surprise! Complete renovation. The eating area was immaculate and the servers were very attentive. The bathrooms were relatively clean (especially compared to previous owners). The food is good, (compared to Lyns Gardens and elsewhere locally). The price is ok. We will be back!
The food would of been better with some salt(not too much) and seasoning. They need more dishes that isn't just seafood., although I love seafood. When I go to an oriental restaurant I want a big variety. Not a bunch of sushi/seafood/dishes i want a mix. I feel when you guys remodeled you should of added more bar area because you filled alot of it up with crab, shrimp, mussels and crayfish.
One of my favorite places to have weekend lunch/dinner because I enjoy the hot crab legs and the fried crab. Unfortunately, we was told by one of the owners that they no longer offer hot crab legs in the seafood boil anymore. That’s really unfortunate as I know several people who enjoy them. Now I’m not sure if I will visit for weekend lunch/dinner since the main items i pay premium price for is no longer being offered.
Food was okay. However, I wouldn’t recommend you eat the seafood (especially, the shrimp) it taste and smells very fishy like it wasn’t washed well and/or been setting there for some time. Also, the reason why I give it a 2 star is due to the fact they charge for kids under 5 for $8.99 … as if they eat a lot. I don’t even have kids but the fact that they do that is very baffling
I wouldn't waste my time eating here if u actually have taste for good seafood. Thought we would give it a try since it's a "new" restaurant. Its a complete replica of the 1 prior and the sushi was hard on their buffet. Price on website says $10-20 a person but you can only get the buffet which is pushing $26 a person. No one came and picked up our plates while we went for more food to try, refilled our drinks and food overall was just gross. I won't be going back.
Disappointing. Flaming Grill replaced one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, and while it is an improvement it leaves a lot to be desired. The sushi actually looks fantastic, unfortunately the taste doesn’t match the appearance. The hibachi also has issues. I like the sauce choices but again the taste is just mediocre and the beef is very tough. The buffet dishes are all overcooked and over-sauced, especially the vegetables. You can’t avoid comparisons to Tokyo House, they are basically doing the same Asian / Sushi buffet. Tokyo House does a much better job and since they are priced similarly there’s little reason to return to Flaming Grill.
It was too expensive; it's more expensive to eat here than in a good restaurant. Don't get me wrong, but for three people, it cost us $97, and we only ordered two regular-sized main courses and one dessert. I don't know if the bill was wrong or not, but when I asked the waitress, she said that was the correct amount.
If I could leave zero stars I would. The buffet was one of the worst ones to eat in N.W.A the food had no seasoning at all, fried rice looked nothing or tasted like original fried rice, the crab Rangoon was so disgusting I spitted it out immediately. The old hibachi buffet that was here before was way better not sure why they closed down. Also there was a safety violation where there was water in the middle of the aisle to get food where somebody can slip and fall
Better since rebranding. Food wise anyway. I’ve been here a couple times and the ladies who wipe the glass down and refill the food will walk right in front of you while you are scooping food. Be sure to not eat too much because you can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet. And if you are under 5’10” the urinals will be too tall for you. Interesting place.
