Neat find! So many boardgames & cool decor!

I love that you can bring a growler (ideally smaller than 64 oz) and get a drink to go. I get to enjoy the 3LB flavor from the comfort of home after a long day at work. The atmosphere of the brewery is also fun, and welcoming. The best place to catch up with friends and play some games

Super cute spot! The decor is a little random in places, but loved the game themed stuff. There was a lot of anime and movie posters also. Had a healthy stash of board and card games to pull from in a bookshelf. The beer is delicious. We had the heffeweisen, dunkel, rice beer, and extra pale ale. All of which were very good. There's a little outdoor porch thats covered on the side that would be great for cooler days. I wish the music played into the theme of the taproom just for ambience vibes. They had a bad country station playing when we got there and I kept wishing for some Lo-Fi beats or 8-bit music. Or even anime/video game soundtracks or something like that. Other than the music, it was a very fun little spot.

We’ve driven by this place several times and finally stopped by, so glad we did. This place is awesome. They have a good variety of beers on draft, I had their sour mango beer and it was REALLY good. I was also very happy to hear there’s a permanent taco truck outside, goes well with the beer. They also have a large outdoor space. Will definitely be coming here again for beer and tacos!

I play trivia here and it’s the greatest. If you like beer, trivia, board games, healing potions, cool artwork, video games, the number 3, puppies, or anything nerd related, you should come check this place out. And if you don’t like any of those things, you should come check it out anyway. You may surprise yourself.

My best friend and I recently visited (3/26/24) - fun atmosphere, great staff and good prices. The food-truck's offerings were excellent as well (spicy Mexican food, so be prepared) and unlike most other food-trucks, was also fairly priced. Owner came out and talked to us, was very friendly. If you and your friends/loved ones enjoy fun gaming and good beer/seltzer (and some non-alcoholic drinks too) I highly recommend checking this place out

This is my absolute favorite bar, brewery, and place for beer in Round Rock. We've started coming here every Friday -- we play games, we chat with new friends, and there's always new beer to try. The taco truck is wonderful and the bartenders are quickly becoming my favorite people. Couple that with great vibes and fun games, and you've got a winning combination.

If you’re into great beer and geek culture, 3rd Level Brewing is a dreamland. It’s a haven for gamers, anime fans, movie buffs, and anyone who enjoys good drinks with a side of nostalgia. I love that their beer names are always tied to something you might have known or admired at some point to bring in a rush of memories. But what really makes 3rd Level special is the vibe. Whether it be a Buster Sword hanging on the wall, a wall of motherboards under the bar with RBG fans lighting up, or nostalgic items of your past randomly placed among the bar to remind you this was the exact place you’ve been looking for. It’s the kind of place where strangers become friends because of the shared love of the brews and the culture. I’ve been to a few of their events like video game tournaments, fun holiday parties, and weekly meetups that keep the energy fresh and fun. They are super pet-friendly as well as inviting to families. It’s clear the owners care about building community for us nerds just as much as they care about brewing beer. Whether you’re looking to roll a D20 for your TTRPG or just coming in to roll a D12 in their dice tower to randomly select your next cold pint, 3rd Level Brewing is the place to level up your brewery experience!

Love the nerdy videogame atmosphere! The brews are always great - really love the sours straws line they are going with lately. We go here at least every other week. The staff are super friendly, warm, and welcoming. They are family friendly with boardgames to play with the kids or over a brew. They run some events daily, check out the community they are trying to build!! We normally go when the taco truck is outside and their beef is insanely good. Well seasoned, deliciously moist, and their green salsa is dangerously spicy.

This place doesn't have food inside, but sometimes it has a food truck outside. I had so much fun at this place, you can play games, talk about your favorite games with like-minded people and drink beer, what more could you need!!!

What a wonderful gem of an addition to a fairly bare part of town. Great selection of beers, excellent service and a fantastic atmosphere. Kid and dog friendly - my kids sat around and played on the switch on the big screen the entire time we were there. You can bring in outside food to boot. One of the owners Clint tended bar while we were there and it was great to get to know him. We'll be back as much as possible to support 3rd Lvl. Also worth noting it's extremely reasonably priced. Forget the fact our kids were entertained the entire time for free but the beers etc are well priced. Love this spot

One of my "hobbies" is visiting local breweries on Sunday afternoons. This is now one of my favorites in Austin and the surrounding communities. The beers I tried were outstanding. From the Dunkle, to the Milk Stout and Russian Imperial, they were all complex and outstanding. Surprisingly, I even took a 6 pack of the Rice Lauger home because it was so delicious. And I usually don't like rice beers but this is not your tipical rice beer. Btw, the staff was awesome. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Between the awesome selection of in house made craft beers, the board games, the food truck, the homemade non-alcoholic teas, and the various random events they host throughout the week —truly a GEM in Round Rock, outside of downtown Round Rock! 3rd level brewery is always a fun place to visit when we are in Round Rock. We enjoy trying out their new beers and also enjoy the staples. Interesting atmosphere with lots of nostalgia for those who love sci-fi. Give them a try. Very casual atmosphere.

A sharp turn in after the Sunrise Road intersection is the small building of 3rd Level Brewing, a great new concept brewery with some very fun Easter eggs to bring friends and enjoy a variety of beers or mocktails. The staff are incredibly friendly and let us taste the "Health Potion" mocktail, a strong blend of hibiscus tea and lemon. Each mocktail has edible glitter to make them look more like magic potions, a great touch. I ordered a flight of beers, which seemed like a fantastic deal at $2-$3 per sampler glass for beers of my choice. I got the sour, an IPA (Deadhorse), the hazy IPA, and the oatmeal stout. The sour was light and fruity, a refreshing summer drink that wasn't too sour. The Deadhorse IPA was a west coast style IPA with heavy hops and pine notes. The hazy IPA was an east coast style with fruity pineapple notes, but a bit of a bitter and strong aftertaste at the end of the glass. The oatmeal stout was dark (but not heavy) and a little bitter with roasty oatmeal notes. I loved the theme of this place and they mentioned that they will have Switch setups and a projector in the future for movie or anime nights. I'm really looking forward to what they do in the future!

Hands down glad I learned about this place at the Beer Fest in Round Rock. I have not had a bad beer yet. Plus the decor and events they host are so much fun. Pet and kid friendly!

This was a fun brewery, highly recommend checking it out. The wheat peach bear, is amazing. It's a small batch and it sounds like they don't have it all the time but ask for it. If they have it definitely try it, I am not a big peach fan. The strawberry sour was a light sour that was fairly amazing. The other sour is more for people who like sours which I do. All of their IPAs where also great, I did not have any beer that was bad. The taco truck outside, not part of the brewery was also good, the green sauce is hot, you have been warned, lol

This has become one of my local favorites. Great people, wonderful staff, and some of the best craft brews in town! If you haven’t stopped, you’re definitely missing out!

Stoped in here with a friend after a bike ride for a craft beer. Enjoyed the game themed taproom. Enjoyed the Play for Blood spiced beer. Couldn’t talk my buddy into playing a game, but ended up downloading the Switch retro game Suika that was on the big screen.

Fun environment, great beers. Recommend the Harry Man Hefe, the Dead Horse IPA, and if they have it, the Putakeke hazy (probably didn't spell that right). If they have a peach beer, try it. They don't make them too bitter like other breweries.

BLUF: when 80’s kids nerds open a brewery, this is the result. Fantastic atmosphere for gamers. Plenty of subtle easter eggs. I visited during their soft opening when only 4 beers were on tap, but their grand opening on the 24th will feature 12 beers (actually 11 beers and a seltzer). One of their bartenders, Travis, is awesome. He’s quick and very knowledgeable of everything on tap. I hear he’s brewed beer at home as well!

Second time coming here. They really don't have food, but they do have food trucks that serve food. Last Saturday they had a Mexican truck that sold really good tacos and this week on a Friday they have German food that is also amazing. The beer that they have seems to be brewed here. I had the Hazy IPA that is exactly as the describe it to be. It's worth a try! They also have a few games to play as you enjoy your drinks and a few books to read.

Love having a new local brewery in town! Super friendly staff, loved being able to bring my boxer inside from the heat and of course the beer is great too! Looking forward to trying all the new creations along the way.

Pleasantly surprised! My husband and I have been talking about trying this place for months and we finally made it out and it did not disappoint! We had two flights and everything we tried was great! This place has delicious beers. They're made fresh off the breweries. Some of the beers are very light & refreshing in flavor. Others have heavy & and well-rounded flavors, such as the Dunkel & Red IPA. The lighter Pale Ales & Seltzers are very refreshing. Their Candy Sour is a delicious & sweet bubbly beer. You may even feel effervescent after one of them. Enjoy.

Got to chill tonight listening to some old vinyl Floyd - Animals. Just what I needed after a long week down in south Texas. Will be back as soon as work sends me this way again. Decent brewery with a fun video game motif. I only had a couple of their beers and they were ok. It was super hot in the tasting room so we were in a hurry to leave. The food truck was really good.

Looks to me they’re new in the area. The atmosphere is something to work on; however, the staff was very friendly. They have a retro video game theme going on mixed with something I can’t quite put my finger on. I didn’t get food but what others ordered around me looked like I’d try something next time. I also knocked the atmosphere down to 3 stars cause there’s not a lot of space and what was there, wasn’t very comfortable. I did like that they had old games to play if you and your bunch want something to do while you catch up. It’s a good place to go if you’re local and don’t want to drive very far. Over all, I’d go again but let’s just say I’m not telling everyone they have to go check it out.

This review comes from my first and only visit back in August 23'. The establishment was clean and still relatively new. Beer was fine, nothing special. Limited seating at bar but cool video game decor and the play/take on their beers. My issue with this brewery was the blatant racism that occurred when one of the owners (male) was having a conversation with a few patrons at the bar (appeared to be friends) and some racist remarks were made about hiring a couple of specific "help/laborers for the back" to help keep costs down. If people want to speak that way in public, it shows their class but the disturbing part was the owner found it funny and engaged in the banter instead of curtailing that behavior when you have colored folks in your bar. Paid for our first and only round of pints and left. I wanted to support this brewery near my house but shame on them. Potential patrons... take it up to the 5th level and visit Pinthouse instead. Superior service and beers. Can't support the little guy here.

We were really excited to visit this brewery because the concept is great, but unfortunately the experience with the owner left a bad impression. My husband tried making small talk with him, but it felt like we were bothering him. When we asked about his place — which has a lot of potential — he seemed disinterested and spoke so quietly it was hard to even hear him. It made the whole experience uncomfortable. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
