i was greeted by multiple people as i walked in. first time having Venezuelan food! it was delicious. i had the Blonde. the grilled chicken was so savory. it was so big i had to split into three meals. the restaurant was very nice and clean. and the service was great

Food was really good very fulfilling it's a lot of food we still had about half of each plate left over. The place was clean and tidy, it's spacious and doesn't feel suffocating ( like other places you feel your breathing on other people's back). As a latina I am very picky with my food but this place hit the spot definetly recommend. Pricing was decent , the drinks were a bit overpriced but were tasty. Staff was really friendly and attentive , vibe in the place was nice as well.

It's a lively place for dinner, even on weekdays. Tried chicken tostones (mini tacos on plantain chip) and vegetarian arepa with black beans. Food tastes fresh with shredded cabbage & cilantro topping. Hint - ask them to skip mayo based house sauce. Cocktails were on point - Venezuela Libre and Rum Pape'

Wow, amazing food and service. We arrived before the lunch rush but before we left it was very busy. This was our first time eating Venezuelan food so we ordered several items to share. We started with the ground beef empanada which was amazing. Tried the garlic sauce and it was a great match. We also ordered the queen Areas which was one of our favorites and my son went nuts over the crazy fries. We also ordered the pernil cachapa which was interesting and ended up my favorite with is slightly sweet pancake and savory filling. We tried the meal of with the guava pie which was amazing. Definitely making this a regular stop close to home.

The food was delicious. The arepas were about 5-6 inches large. We ordered the Texan and the seasonal option, which was crispy deep-fried pork belly. The servers explained the dishes and gave good recommendations since this was our first time here. When the food came out, another server came by and gave us some tips on how to eat it. We also ordered dessert. I forgot what it's called but it's like mousse on the bottom mixed with soft sponge cake. We had chocolate flavor and passion fruit flavor. One was rich and one was on the fruity, sour side. Will come back again.

This place is truly a gem of a find. The staff are all super friendly and the food is wonderful. They have about a dozen booths and some 4-6 top tables available to sit. It can fit a decent amount of people comfortably. They also have a bar available if you’d prefer. The staff are all really great. They’ll read back to you what you ordered and confirm if you want all the ingredients included (they’ll name those out as well). They’ll also keep your drinks topped off and clean up your table as you eat so you feel more comfortable. The food is really wonderful and even with the convenience and the amazing service, the food is what I look forward to the most. The Taquinos are like a cheese stick in some kind of batter deep fried. It’s delicious. Today I ordered a Mixed Papito sandwich. The bread was amazingly cooked and tasted great. It wasn’t soggy but also wasn’t dry. It was the perfect sauce ratio. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent across the board. Food is fresh and well presented. The staff is amazing and helpful and shares all their knowledge and love for the food. Highly recommend the fried plantain appetizer. The areapas are quite large, and will fill you up. I wish I could give more stars. This place blew me out of the water and you should definitely come try the food!

Arepas were tasty and stuffed with meat. The portions are great. 1 arepa is more than enough for a typical person. The tequenos were fresh and had a great cheese pull. Definitely coming back.

I’ve been here twice. GREAT food! However, specifically on the Cachapa with Pork Belly Pabellón style, the flavor is a lacking something. The cheese sandwich is too hard, should melt. Pork belly is overcooked and not juicy. The corn pancake was overcooked- a bit black charred that threw of the sweetness of the corn and gave a weird taste on every bite. I prefer the Cachapas as Amazonas Restaurant/ food truck more. The Arepas & Tostones appetizer here are AMAZING! In my to-go order, I asked for Orange Hibiscus juice and got I think a Lime or lemon juice. Still good so I kept it.

We ADORE food at Arepita and normally go to the one in Harker Heights. This was our 1st time in RR, and the only reason we’re not giving 5 stars is because they had techno music playing very LOUD at 4pm in the afternoon! The place is so beautiful ( nicer than HH ) however the loud techno music does not match the place. Some lounge Latino music given it’s a Venezuelan restaurante would have been nicer and more pleasant. We ate and immediately left cause it just wasn’t pleasant to hang around with such loud music. The food was great and delicious as usual however I will going back to usual HH where they don’t play such unpleasant music and we can have a good time while eating and chatting with family and friends

Really cute place, loved the inside and enjoyed the atmoshpere. The service was on point, we had a new waitress that lit up the room. Food was good, but expected a little more flavor. Beef Empanadas were seasoned perfectly. Chicken had a lot of flavor but the steak was a bit of a dissapointment kind of flavorless (needs marinade). I’ve visited this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the food, which is consistently delicious. However, during my most recent visit, the service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, both waitresses appeared unfriendly and were quite curt in their interactions, which created a tense atmosphere. It was surprising, especially since the restaurant was empty with just one other table occupied. I understand that busy days can be stressful, but this was not the case this time. I hope this was just a one-off experience, as I would love to continue enjoying the great food without the negative vibe.

Closer to 3.5 stars than 3. Pleasant service, adequate food. overpriced entrees for what is included. My curiosity is satiated enough that I don't need to go back again, but I don't regret my visit.
