Absolutely amazing food, very diverse menu options. I'm vegan but my husband is not. They had the regular menu as well as a Vegan menu and Gluten free menu! We got upgraded margs (which were amazing) vegan nachos, vegan Cali burrito with smoked tofu, and barbacoa burrito. Everything was amazing, if we ever busy Newport again, we'll be sure to be back!

Food was glorious! We had burritos, nachos with guacamole and the fish tacos! All were super good. The filling in the burrito was generous and cleanly wrapped. Quite noisy though inside. Servers were very helpful and attentive.

Diego’s Newport is a fantastic spot with a fun vibe, great service, and delicious food. My sister and I made reservations here for dinner during a girls' weekend to Newport, and it didn't disappoint! The margaritas are top-notch—especially the passionfruit, which was refreshing and full of flavor. We loved the fish tacos—they were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The queso fundido was rich, melty, and so satisfying. Best of all, we caught a gorgeous sunset right from our table, which made the whole experience even more memorable. Can’t wait to go back! Very nice dinner and drinks. The nachos were so good. I got the carne asada steak tacos with a side of rice and it was so yummy. The silver fox, Hawaiian, and painkiller were super delicious. I was not a fan of the pomegranate spritz but that's just me.

We went to Diego's after finding good gluten free reviews, and it didn't disappoint. They had a lot of great options to choose from. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is located in the heart of Newport, right on the pier. My only beef is that I had to pay for chips & salsa.

came here for lunch because I wanted some nachos and fish tacos. this was the perfect spot. the place seems busy all the time, but service is friendly and they are hustling to get you seated and served quickly. we had some nachos and tacos, beer and churros. the fish tacos and catch of the day tacos were great. nacho plate was the bomb. they had plenty of different hot sauces. I will definitely return if ever in the area again.

As a tourist from boston with a girlfriend constantly asking to get mexican food this place was pretty good. We thought the menu and vibe was really cool and unique more than some of the normal spots near us. The service was great and our food came pretty quick. The drinks were stellar, and we both really enjoyed trying a few, especially any of their spicy drinks. We are suckers for spicy margaritas and they were very good here. Where this place misses the mark is its seasoning unfortunately. Everything we ate looked great but tasted pretty bland unfortunately. “World famous guacamole” was definitely missing salt, and once you get past some of the garnish on the top it felt like we were just eating mashed avocado. I got a crunchwrap which the beef in it literally felt like i didn’t even have an ounce of seasoning at all and there was literally fat pouring out of it. It had me very disappointed as it easily could have been 5x better than the originator taco bell. This honestly had me wishing i had taco bell instead because it really tasted like nothing. My girlfriend who orders the same kind of tacos almost everytime also said hers was just bland as well. I think there are a lot of wins here for this restaurant but you have to, have to, HAVE TO season your dishes people.

Great local restaurant. Me and my friends go so often our waitress, Sadie, knows us. Sadie is great! She is very attentive and always friendly. They have a great taco Tuesday. This place would get 5 stars only if we didn’t have to wait 15 mins to get a table while the place wasn’t packed! We had made a reservation, even though we didn’t need one. People arriving after us got tables faster! However the lady who was serving our table was very nice, 5 stars for her service! Food - we got the fried tofu tacos from the Vegan menu. This place is in a great location. We stopped here for a small bite and drinks before lunch in 3 hrs. It was brunch menu and we ordered the smoke salmon quesadilla. I was expecting a nice size quesadilla but I was wrong. Please see photo. Service started off really slow sitting at the bar. Total of 6 ppl at the bar. Both parties seated at the same time. After 10 min we were acknowledged. I forgot to mention someone stuck chewed up gum on the bar where we sat it was gross but finally the nice bartender cleaned it up and was embarrassed. He was the best part of our experience here.

Small portions for the price. atmosphere was good and waitstaff was good. Food was tasty, but small portions, so not budget friendly, if that matters. But overall a decent experience.

Pretty disappointing experience. We were first given the wrong menu with items that weren’t even available. The food took a long time to come out, and right before it finally did, I was told the steak I ordered wasn’t available—after already waiting quite a while. I have been several times, generally really good. This time was no bueno. Nachos came without cheese and possible that a disgruntled cook threw an overwhelming amount of pickled onion and pork that looks like dog food. The food was a disgrace, consistency is key. Disappointing, however it makes sense when you sell out to Audrain (quencher)
