Great little place, staff is friendly, they have an awesome selection of donuts and they weren't running out of any around 10 am which is unusual, they also have bagel and breakfast sandwiches. All of their options are tasty and the prices are reasonable. If I'm ever in Salinas again I'll come here.

We’re visiting from out of town, & wanted a donut. So excited that there was a Winchell’s donut store! We were not disappointed - delicious as I remembered as a child growing up.

Winchell's has always been a favorite since i was a kid. I grew up in bay area with winchell's but unfortunately they aren't in bay area anymore. The donuts smell & taste exactly as i remember, which are the best!! I love this place! Other reviews mention about bad service but the staff that helped me that day were very friendly.

I went in requested a dozen of donuts I needed to go to two different businesses so they were nice enough to put them into separate boxes as well as the two extra Donuts the individually wrapped them for me I gave one to the homeless and I enjoyed the other one thank-you Winchell's in Salinas job well done today

Winchell's Donut House is my absolute go-to spot whenever I’m craving donuts because, quite simply, they have the best donuts in town. Their selection is always fresh, and the variety they offer is fantastic. From classic glazed donuts to more unique flavors, every donut I've tried there has been consistently delicious. The dough is always soft and fluffy, with the perfect amount of sweetness, and the fillings and toppings are just right, making each bite a real treat. However, as much as I love their donuts, there's one thing that consistently detracts from the experience: the flies. Every time I visit, I notice an unsettling number of flies buzzing around the store. It’s disappointing because the quality of the donuts is top-notch, but the presence of flies makes the environment less than ideal. I understand that it can be difficult to control, especially in a place where food is constantly on display, but it’s something that really stands out and affects the overall experience. It’s a shame because Winchell's has so much going for it—the friendly staff, the amazing donuts, and the convenient location—but the flies are a significant drawback. I still go back for the donuts because they’re that good, but I find myself wishing they would take more steps to address the issue. Maybe improved cleanliness practices or better fly control methods could make a difference. In the end, I highly recommend Winchell's Donut House for anyone looking for delicious donuts, but be aware that the atmosphere might not be the most pleasant due to the flies. I hope they can find a way to resolve this, because without that issue, Winchell’s would easily be the best donut shop around, bar none.

It's a convenient spot for late-night treats but I wouldn't make this my go-to donut shop. The donuts I got weren't fresh, they were likely made the day before but I also got a half dozen donuts for $8.49. The staff member I encountered was also rude and made me feel like was bothering her for doing business there. I felt pressured to just pick 6 of the same donuts instead of pick the ones I wanted.

Donuts are always excellent here, I ordered 3 bagel sandwiches - all the same. It took forever to get made... frustrating. They were delicious but not worth the wait.

I used to go to Winchell's at 3:00 in the morning sometimes but now Safeway donuts are better Winchell's donuts would make my mouth water but not so much anymore it's a shame things can't say how they used to be can't really tell you much about the service because I don't speak Spanish and that's all they speak so it's kind of like language barrier so I won't comment on that but that's just my opinion go check it out for yourself I'm sure you'll agree

Ordered on Uber eats. Asked for creme filled donuts and they sent jelly filled. I have two very upset kids. Jelly is NOT A VALID SUBSTITUTE FOR CREME FILLED!! $40 wasted for what was supposed to be a treat. Never again. I'll go back to sunshine in prunedale. Such a waste.

I ordered a cold sandwich meal plus 2 extra donuts. Thought I would keep those to eat in the morning. 🤢 I reached in the bag and to my shock the donuts were not at all what I ordered. No offense but who eats butterscotch icing on a butterscotch cream donut? Who eats this other one that’s drowning in liquid strawberry sugar? No me!! They were cold and gross. Next the sandwich. No extra meat, no mayo on the side, had onions galore but I ordered No Oinions! I ordered it toasted too.. yep no toasting! The best part for last! I went through two Uber Eats drivers because the order was taking so long!! FYI: this ordered was placed around 2030 on a Wednesday night. I’m ashamed to say I had a previous order of 6 dozen donuts and bakery items for ER crew one very busy night and those were so good. Now never again Winchell’s!!
