Opiniones de taniperla San Cristóbal
Lovely meal. Local food with great service. Slightly off the main tourist streets but worth it
One of the coolest restaurants I been in the last couple of months. It's owned and run by locals/community and is based of there story. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection of food was way to much to decide. In the end I stated with a salad and something on the side. There was live music so a bit hard to talk, but I liked it a lot. Go there! Definitely recommend it.
Friendly staff, pretty broad selection of dishes (incl many vegetarian options), delicious food and a colourful ambiente
Delicious food in an airy, relaxed space, run by queer-friendly Tseltal people. The menu covers classics like chilaquiles as well as innovative variations on local specialties such as plantain tortillas, pinole coffee and tascalate-cardamom milkshakes. An excellent place for meetings or groups too, there's a side room where you can hold presentations.
During my few months in San Cristobal, I was fortunate to try this wonderful restaurant early and it has become a go-to place. Their enchiladas and mole are fantastic; the salads are super fresh and delicious; the bread and hot sauces are excellent; the caldos and tortillas se also great; and they make excellent cocktails and have several varieties of pox and mezcal. The service is top notch, the vibe is chill and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Please visit this restaurant!! After 2 weeks of not having a proper diner (a Gringo after all ;-), I found this place on Google maps. The food was amazing! I tried the enchiladas rellenas de pollo and the cevice de champignones. Accompanied by a delicious Margarita. It was superb!! It was too much for one person so I asked for a takeaway. No problem! Staff was very friendly and the service was excellent! Didn' t have to wait. This restaurant deserves your visit!
A delicious local and indigenous place to eat! I had the traditional empanadas with spinach and quesadillo and to my surprise it came with a gorgeous salad. Plus every table came with bread and some type of butter. I didn’t know what it was but goodness it was delicious. Clearly a family oriented business and they have great music!
Lovely relaxed atmosphere - Lorenzo was a perfect host - we enjoyed the nibbles & spicy salsas followed by chicken tostadas as a:starter & baked salmon with a side of guacamole to follow, washed down…

Lovely to be greeted by friendly staff , had a laugh choosing Margarita cocktail. enjoyed great empanadas with a crunchy tasty mixed salad and then a flan pudding with berries.
Very tasty local fare at very good prices. The pox was nice too! Lorenzo was particularly attentive and very cheerful and helpful!
Great ambience, local food, great customer service. Very patient with me since I don’t speak Spanish and gave me good recommendations.

The evening started well with an excellent margarita based on Mescal. We had enchiladas based on zucchini and beef stew. Both dishes were excellent. Nice service!
Amazing food. Everything was unique but nothing super crazy. Like butter with a hint of pumpkin, empanadas made with sweet potato shell, etc. Wonderful service.
This lively place had such a great atmosphere. The food and service was amazing and you could taste the authenticity in it! A wonderful place to enjoy live music and fellowship!

Food was very good! Traditional Mexican dishes available, but also the possibility of pizza and pasta. Very friendly staff, good music! Everything is well-priced. Would come back!
I ate here several times during my stay in San Cristobal. Great food, drinks, service and ambiance. I would recommend this place to anyone. The traditional food was wonderful, and the menu had many…
In the evening, the lights are beautifully lit, asterisks, moderate music, good atmosphere. Very comfortable chairs and a large wooden table. Very clean, it is clear that cleanliness is controlled…
Great food and great service. All of our food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and they were very friendly. They even offered us a free dessert that was like a warm gooey banana bread. The only negative was somewhat annoying house music. Other than that is was great and we’ll be adding this to our list of regular spots.
The puttanesca pasta I ordered felt dry and a bit plain and the some of the cheese shreds were crunchy hard...I think I would have to come back for breakfast for a second try to really experience all the raves I hear about this place as all the pics of desayuno dishes in reviews look great! The service was good and complimentary desert was a sweet gesture.
Mediocre food at best (I had enchiladas suizas, it felt like they tossed some dried chicken onto the tortillas and poured old made sauce on top and cheese). Nothing felt fresh and it was not hot. Microwave food. Servicewise, I felt rushed because there were two big tables and I felt no one actually cared about me. Waitpersons don’t care about recommending food. Ambience and price were nice but the chicken was so smelly and dry.. not going back do not recommend.
