The Owner (Vince? sorry, horrible with names) was our bartender, and he was extremely engaging. He chatted with my husband and I about SD and mutual interests. The drinks and service were fantastic! We will definitely go back on our next trip! 💯 Thanks for helping make our anniversary special!!
Justin deserves a kudos for standing up for my female friend that was harassed verbally and physically at the bar. He handled it discreetly. Please let this review reach him!
Best, and cleanest dive by I've ever been to!
Stopped in a few times with my girlfriend for a few drinks before we checked out the Whaley house and shopping. The layout is accommodating and the service was great! Perfect kick back spot to come have a quick drink or a fun evening. ❤️
Great experience if you are lucky enough to have Eden as your bartender. She works hard and has a great personality, made the visit very fun.
Cleanest dive bar I've ever seen! Fifteen years in San Diego and never made it over here. That will change when I'm in town going forward.

Friendly staff, chill crowd, a great place if you're on your own and enjoy loud classic metal (Metallica, KISS, Queen) while you watch the game in a well-maintained, clean "dive bar;" at $6 for a draft lite beer, if you're looking for an inexpensive (cheap) happy hour keep looking.
Fun spot to hang out if you wanna shoot some pool they have three so you don't usually have to wait long. Good beer selection and friendly bartenders.

Female bartender kicked our friend out after he gave his military ID for his initial ID check. She claimed “the commander of California” required civilian ID, when she was questioned what she was referring to she got pissed. Next our friend gave his civilian ID as additional confirmation of age and was kicked out for “arguing”
Bartender was really rude and would only accept a passport as ID, despite me having my drivers license ready to show. I don’t carry my passport around outside the airport
I usually do not leave bad ratings but this experience was terrible. And when I saw other reviews mentioning the terrible service and rude employees/owner, I had to share. The owner seems to have issues with non Americans (read other reviews). We walked in and asked a couple of questions (as tourists from another state) and the owner/bar tender started screaming (literally) when we only wanted to order beers… we asked why he’s mad, he got even worse and started screaming even more. So we chose to stay respectful and left, he waited for us to leave and started swearing while we could still hear him. I think he was drunk, his behavior made no sense. No wonder his bar is empty while all the others were packed… it’s a small dirty pub with no identity whatsoever. Do not waste your time.
Owner/manager wouldn't serve my Dad and brother a beer and in a rude tone states that "we are closing in 30 minutes" while multiple customers were already in there having drinks. Very unapproachable and weird atmosphere. I don't recommend these vibes and we WON'T be back.
Price of drinks kept going up through the night (not during happy hour). $20 for a corona, angry orchard, and a rolling rock? Sign on the wall showing $4 for a rolling rock. So $8 each for a corona and a crappy cider? Dive bar atmosphere should have dive bar prices. Staff acting like toolbags. Will never go back here.
Bartender didn’t want to accept military ID as a proper form of identification. Demanded a state ID. Go retire boomer.
Would rate a 0 if I could. Never EVER coming back to this bar. I have no idea what is going on with this location. One person in our group walked in with coffee and maybe we missed a sign saying no outside drinks which I could understand but the reaction was unbelievable. One of the employees totally flipped out, chased us out and told us to never come back. We tried to explain that it was cold brew but the person stood at the door while mumbling something and told us not to come back. INSANE. Honestly seemed like he was under some kind of mental distress or on drugs. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experience.
I really wanted to like this place and with baseball playoffs happening wanted to watch the brewers vs cubs game. I walked in & all eight TVs only showed the toronto game. When I asked the bartender to change at least one TV to this game, she refused. WOW.. Lost my business. Too bad, because I really wanted to make this one of my go to dive bars and now that wont be happening.
Incredibly bizarre experience with an extremely passive aggressive staff member in his late 40s with a beard and glasses. That man has mental health problems and shouldn't be serving the public. Avoid this place if you're visiting the area
